I love the Pioneer AVIC, I don't have one but my friend have one of these. He use to carry it with him in the truck cause we worked for this moving company. This became one of the most popular things to have in the moving business. Everyone loves to work with Klevin because he has one of these things, and we never get lost when were riding to the jobs cause he hooks up the GPS. Plus you get to play sum of your most funniest movies, also anytime anywhere you want. You can also play your music on this portable dvd players and thats just awlsome. Your basicly getting a package dill when you buy this technology and I don't know about you but I love getting package dills or receiving things for free. One of the biggest things I'm forgetting is about is that the Pioneer AVIC is portable. You can take this thing anywhere so you always have another source of entertainment no matter where you are unbeatable.
...

kellyg123 says "Just Great Speakers legendary." about Pioneer TS-G1641R 6.5-Inch Two-way Speakers

I do like Pioneer speakers, but then again I don't know who wouldn't . My name is Kelly and I like them because they don't burst easy and you diffenitely get your money worth. The bass sounds nice the treble fits in well everything is so well balanced and although i said it was pricie.Pioneers still don't cost as much as sum high brands like Kenwood. But still manage to output the same amount of performance if not better when your blasting your music or just tring to relax. If I had to guess I i would diffenitly say Pioneer would be competitive with just about everybody out there. So they have been around for a very long time so there a well known name and thats hard to beat. Also I'm always shocked when I hear the power from just those Two Way speakers it always sound louder than it really looks which is always a good thing, This way you know your getting what you payed for. My two speaker rocks my lil room and I love it except when I leave them turned up by accident.
...

daniel32 says "Boost your system with audiovox" about Audiovox - A2400DB Car Audio Amplifier

If you want to add a little extra bass to your system then the A2400DB from Audiovox is for you. This amplifier gives you an extra kick from the trunk at an inexpensive price. Power ratings are roughly about 300 watts at 8 ohms, 600 watts at 4 ohms, and 1200 watts at 2 ohms. I tried this amp for my car and i was very suprised at the way this thing performed. I do recommend adding a power cap to prevent overkill on your battery during the low bass notes. This amp will make a great addition to any car audio system. If your car's stereo is lacking some kick go get yourself one and feel the difference. This amp is not big and bulky like some other amps. It uses minimal space without minimal performance. The crome finish is a really nice, and clean look also. Go ahead and get one for yourself. This amp kicks butt. I did'nt expect it to keep up with the rest of my system so well. Very much worth the money, hats off to audiovox for this one.
...

jd25261 says "Just the right amount of thump" about MTX - THUNDER 5512-12" Subwoofer

I went out bought myself a new stereo, crossovers and rear speakers. Come away happy but one day noticed that something was missing. A couple weeks earlier, the rep at Car Stereo City told me that I was all set that the only that was missing that would put it together is a pair of 12" subs. That day, when I felt something was missing, I agreed. So I went back to see him, he said the right subs for my kind of listening would be the MTX Thunder 5500's. I went with a couple of 12"s for my car.

I think the subs are great. They added that missing touch to the overall sound I was apparently craving. I bought that and the 2 channel Phoenix Gold "Rival" amp. Together, the two produce, a crisp, powerful (but not overkill) thump.

If I had to go out and do it again. I would re buy these subs.
...

i had an Alpine stereo that sounded terrific. But when I traded my car, that went with it. For my new car I wanted something that looked sleek and sounded great. I went out and purchased a Kenwood (Can't remember model #) and that fell way, WAY short from the sound that I was used to from my Alpine. So I took it back to Stereo King here in Oregon and told the rep I was disatisfied with the sound. If I was going to spend $300-$400 on a unit, I wanted to be content and happy with the sound. So, he showed me what he had in his car. It was DEH-P800PRS. The difference in his words were the gold plated ends in the 800PRS which further enhances sound. The 800PRS at that time was about $600 but he told me that if I wanted to spend another $150 dollars, I could buy last years version in the DEH-P880PRS. That is what I did.

I'll just say that the sound of the DEH-P880PRS is ridiculous. It has a 16 band graphic equalizer which allows you to adjust each band to your liking. If you were like me and...
...

I dont know about you but i personally love a rockford fosgate. Amplifier or tweeter or woofer they literally and i mean literally have the most perfect quality of sound that youcan ask for out of sound equipment period. They've always had durable woofers. And the liners on those woofers have such great integrity and hold that its like they never want to bust or blow. And if you or any of your friends have ever tried the rockford fosgate 12 inch woofer with dual voice coils then you know what i'm talking about when i say that the sound is so solid and perfect. And with so many of the correct specifications that it realy is nearly impossible to misunderstand the audio laguage. I mean especially when it comes to bass frequencies. And the rockford fosgate amplifiers always have the correct specifications when it comes to highs mids and lows. and the bass filter that is on them is astounding. the tweeters also have great sound I think you should be able to find what your looking for...
...

The Kicker C104 or "comp" series sub is the low-level or entry-model in the Kicker line of subs. Now, assuming you have an amp that will push appx. 300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms to 2 of these subs, you may be thinking that they'll perform like an entry-level sub....

For the most part, you'd be correct! If you find them BOGO or on sale, you can usually get 'em for about 40 bux each. For the money, they will give you exactly what you want..... good bass at a good price. Please, don't assume that, just because they have Kicker written on them, they will relocate your trunk 2 counties over. Its just not gonna happen. But, if you want good punch with a decent low-end, then go out and get some of these, for sure!

Just remember: Proper wiring + good box = better sound :)

...

(their customer service is a whole other review)

We moved out of state and had a 12 hour drive to go back home so decided to purchase a system to be installed on the roof of the vehicle to keep the kids entertained on the long drives. The 9 in screen was a big selling point. The portable systems we had prior were just a pain.

It serves it's purpose. It has a remote which is very convenient so the kids can control the system from the back without help from the front seats.

The only problem we've had is that the swivle mechanism has come loose and we have to put folded up paper to keep it from moving.
...

cmarkward says "Great, until it broke" about Kenwood DPX302 CD Player

I was so excited when my boyfriend purchased the Kenwood for my birthday. I loved that it would fit my Scion tC and that I could get satellite (Sirius) as well as be able to plug in my MP3 player via a USB port and play native AAC (Apple files, I believe that they are also called MP4 and are the type of files that natively download from Apple's iTune's music store).
Problem #1: Despite the fact that it was deemed compatible with my car, the installers had to, for an additional charge, modify the car stereo cover door that comes with the Scion tC. Ok, not quiet fully compatible, but at the least, if I didn't have the installers fix the problem (say, if I installed it myself), I could keep the door open all the time.
Problem#2: Ok, the iPod controls something like 70% of the market (and I'm being VERY conservative. I'd bet it controls closer to 90%). So why does the Kenwood literature (on Crutchfield.com's website) state that it's USB is for "MP3 players", yet you need separate equipment if......

I've had good luck with Pioneer car stereo gear, so I looked to that brand first when I wanted to upgrade the factory speakers in my 1995 Subaru Legacy. I had previously installed Pioneer TS-G1641 speakers in another car but that model is no longer available. The replacement is the Pioneer SS-G1642R, which I bought at Wal-Mart for $40 per pair. I installed two pairs in my car.

What it is

The Pioneer TS-G1642R is a standard 6.5-inch car speaker. It has a 1.2-inch tweeter mounted in the center of the 6.5-inch woofer, which makes the speaker a "coaxial" design. The tweeter is not movable or pointable, which is a bit of a disappointment. The woofer is made from plastic, making it fairly impervious to moisture. Since I installed them in the car's doors, being impervious to moisture is important. The speakers can handle 30 Watts of continuous power and my car's stereo is rated at 15 Watts per channel, so that's a good match. The speakers are rated at 4 Ohms. You can see pictures of the Pioneer...
...

Why didn't I install this sooner? For almost a year, I had been looking for an easy way to play music on my iPhone in my car (a 2006 Volkswagen Passat). With no cassette player in the car, no Bluetooth A2DP capability on the iPhone, and no use for sub-par FM adapters, I figured I was out of luck for the time being. I had heard of iPod interface adapters that hooked right into the back of a factory installed radio, but I questioned if they would work with the iPhone. It turns out they do, with just a few caveats.

The USA SPEC iPod Interface is just under $150 from several online retailers. I got mine from Crutchfield. It is a little box that sits between the radio and iPhone. The end result is one black cable that runs out of the back of the radio and plugs directly into the bottom of the iPhone. Everything else is neatly tucked away and out of sight!

The main selling point is sound quality. Unlike other types of adapters, this one does not lower the sound quality in any way. None. Whatsoever....
...

p3epilog says "Easy install, happy with the results" about DICE Electronics - i-VW-R iPod Interface Kit

I purchased the i-VW-R unit to integrate my 30GB Video iPod with my 2003 Volkswagen Passat factory stereo. I had done a fair amount of research before deciding on the DICE unit, so I was fairly confident that it would do what I wanted. Installing it involved going to the company's website to get a vehicle-specific installation addendum, which was no problem. The trickiest part of installing it was not in any way a problem with the DICE unit but rather with the factory VW head unit. Special "keys" are required to remove the stereo, and the directions for using them are clear as to how to insert them. However, nothing is included about how to REMOVE the keys. There is plenty of information warning about how improper use of the keys can permanently damage the radio, so I was a bit surprised that there was nothing about taking the keys out. Once everything was in place and the stereo was fired up, I had access to my iPod just as advertised!...

tinklemar says "This DVD has great sound and a very clear picture!" about Disney - D7500PDD DVD Player

Great product. I would recommend this to anyone with younger children that travel frequently. We just got home from a 5 hour car trip (one way) and my 1 1/2 year old was amazingly quiet and cooperative with the DVD player on.

The only problem we had with the player was that it was kind of difficult to hear one the highways/interstate because of the road noise. We solved this problem by plugging a cheap FM transmitter up to the headphone jack and listening to it over the car stereo!...
