jenniferbruce says "This is a game that our whole family can enjoy together." about wii - Wii

I used to hate video games. They seemed to be a mindless form of entertainment, and I didn't want anything to do with them. All of that has changed since we got our Nintendo Wii system. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I kept hearing that this system was different from the rest. That is SO true!

We usually play the Wii together with our four-and-a-half-year-old daughter. We play games that keep us interacting with each other. Our daughter is learning hand-eye coordination, and she is comfortable operating the technology... both good skills for her to learn. In addition, she is learning about teamwork when we play team games and about taking turns when the play is more individual.

I highly recommend the Wii system for families who want to play together. While board games won't be disappearing from our home any time soon, the Wii offers another alternative for great family time!
...

I bought this garmin over a year ago. I ALWAYS get lost, so when I had to commute to college which was a good 25 minutes away, where i've never really driven around, it was a must to get. The garmin still works as great as the day I bought it. The only problem i've ever has is with construction and routes being messed up. Definitely update your maps, or it'll tell you to turn off a overpass randomly. From all the use i've done with it, and the times where i've dropped it, it still works awesome. It has a lot of features, you can definitely personalize it to your likings. The cars can be changed, and you can even download more for free off their website. The voices which tell you to turn and whatnot can even be changed and downloaded too. The garmin also views jpeg images which you can get off of a regular SD memory card. The garmin has the SD card slot on the side. The GPS charges off a regular USB charger, which is included, and charges pretty quickly. All together, the GPS is very great...
...

LoveFaithHope316 says "Fun gaming toy for the kids" about Vtech Vsmile Console

This is a great educational toy for the kids. Games keep the kids entertained. They love the familiar characters and never notice they are learning while they play. There is always another child waiting in line to play the vsmile. I have kids age 7-10 and they all love the games.

One problem we have, is you sometimes have to wiggle the ac adapter near the connection to the game system to get it to work. Games don't seem to have the same durablity either. Some have to be taken out and put back in the system a few times before they work.

Otherwise a wonderful educational toy. We got ours 3 years ago, so there may have been some improvements by now. Ours is still working. I would recommend this to families with children 12 and younger.

The VTech V Smile video game console comes with one joystick and an game cartridge and plugs into TV audio and video jacks. It uses three "C" batteries fairly quickly, which is why we got the AC adapter.

If you'd like to turn your TV into a fun learning zone,...
...

LoveFaithHope316 says "Great quality pictures and video" about Kodak - EasyShare C703 Digital Camera

Easy to use. Got the bundle, so it came with charging dock. This dock also hooks up to TV so you can view your pictures as a slideshow right on your tv. Had this camera 2 years already with no problems so far. I keep it with me everywhere I go.

This camera has a built-in memory that can hold about 24 pictures. I have a 1GB SD Memory card I use with this camera.

The Kodak Easy Share C703 is 7.1 megapixel camera. This is a very good resolution for 8" x 10" photos. They come out very nice. This camera has a 3x optical zoom and a 5x digital zoom to help get your best pictures as close up as you need them.

The screen on the back of the camera is approximately 2.5 inches. This makes it very easy to view your pictures.

The batteries are rechargable. I still have the same battery it came with and have recharged it many, many times. The batteries last a very long time before they have to be charged.

Just a turn of the button on top of the camera and your ready to go.
...

Also known as the Cricket TXTM8

At first site.. this is a great phone with great looking features. I bought this phone online with Cricket in August. As soon as it arrived in the mail..I had to take it to a store location where they had to give me a new phone replacement. They know me in the store now after 6 visits since then for all types of phone issues. I have experienced screen freezing, middle of phone call freezing, email not working properly, phone not starting, difficulty with charging, power button broken upon 1st initial phone sent, phone shutting off out of the blue, not holding charge. Th ebad part is that if I want to get a replacement.. it is all fees. I have the warranty and insurance.. I now have to have the phone sent to the insurance company where they will let me know if its something caused by me or the phone. If it is the phone.. they will credit 35.00 to my account and I would get a replacement. The kicker is.. I would have to pay 45.00 initially in order to get...
...

I am not a techy person in any way, but I love having access to technical things. I bought a GPS for my husband for his birthday, and he loves it. I was very hesitate to buy one, thinking we could look up anything or anywhere we needed to go on the intranet and print off the directions. I feel like I know the city I live in fairly well and felt we had no need of one, but my husband really wanted one, so I caved. I cannot tell you how pleased I am that I bought it! It is user friendly and very easy to use. I love being able to look up the closest restaurant or where the closest pharmacy is. There are so many functional aspects to it for almost anyone. I also love that we can save locations, even if they are in the wilderness, and not on a common road. I also love that I can change the voice. I now feel like I need the GPS, and it has become part of my every day life. What a fountain of knowledge it has!
...

cardinalsfan86 says "Don't fit well- at all" about Sony - In- Ear Headphones - Blue (MDRE10LPPB)

I do not know if my ear size is abnormal, but these ear buds do not fit the insides of my ear and were constantly falling out of place. They became rather annoying during any type of exercise and were constantly coming out of my ear. Even during just normal walking or activities, it seemed to be if I moved a certain way or just even brushed up against the cord, out they would come. I thought I would give these headphones a try given the sony name brand because I do like the ear bud style, but these were no better for me than any of the other ones, and I was highly disappointed. The sound quality on these headphones was mediocre at best, but for the price you will pay, that is not something you should be complaining about. Cord length on these was decent, but it still did not prevent me from accidentally knocking the buds out. I might recommend these to someone who just wanted a cheap pair of headphones for listening to music in the car or while sitting at a computer, but not to...
...

I wanted a phone with a full qwerty keyboard because I was beginning to text more and more and doing it from a regular flip phone is very difficult. I purchased a SmartPhone first and returned it within the 30 days that you can. I hated it, way too much stuff on there that I would never use, and that made it difficult to access the things that I did want to use. This phone was rather expensive, but it has been well worth it. It had a nice large screen, and takes really good pictures. I put a memory card in there and save all my pictures on the card. It has the full qwerty keyboard like I wanted. It is also touchscreen which I did not know if I would like in the beginning, but now that I am used to it, I love it too. There are screen covers that you can get to protect the screen. The ringtones are louder on this phone than any phone I have had before. Which is very good because I use it as an alarm clock too. The only issue I have had with it is that sometimes it powers off for no reason,...
...

I am a runner who was in a constant search for a pair of headphones that would actually fit the size and shape of my ear and stay in place during long runs without constant readjustment. Enter the Phillips over the ear headphones. This pair of headphones is the most comfortable earpieces I have ever used, and I never have to worry about them falling out during exercise. While I had one pair that I used almost daily for a year that began experiencing static issues, I am now on my second pair for what is close to a year, and they are still working great. I am not someone who places extreme value in sound quality, but I feel as though my music comes through clearly, and the quality seems just fine for me. I believe I found these at Target or Walmart for around ten to twelve dollars, so you really cannot complain because the prices are so low for this product. If you are someone who is tired of constantly putting the little earbud pieces back in your ears while at the gym, these...
...

Verizon wireless had some good phone plans. There plans have some good features; such as free mobile to mobile & texting to other verizon wireless users. They also have good plans allowing for alot of pkg phone minutes and family share plans. There plans include such features as caller id, basic voicemail service, 3 way calling, texting, picture & video messaging.

However, their service reliability seems to be getting worse. I have had verizon wireless for about 8 years. In the beginning, I had good signal and hardly ever lost a call. The last 3 years that I had verizon wireless service, it seemed that I was always loosing or dropping calls. About 6 - 8 months ago, I switched to Alltel service. It was amazing at the difference between the two providers. I got much better signal with Alltel and can't remember ever losing or dropping a call. Then Verizon and Alltel merged in our area and we are back with Verizon service again. I am noticing that verizon is a little better...
...

There's only one reason I purchased a cordless phone about 6 months ago. I spend most of my time in the family room, and the handset to my landline is at the computer facing away from our TV. Therefore, if I ever want to watch a ballgame or anything else that demands my attention on the tube, I must either put the DVR on hold or miss some of my program to get up and answer the phone. The idea of purchasing a cordless phone appeared to be the answer. However, as soon as you remove the handset from the charging dock, the battery starts to wear down and before you know it, you're without a functional phone again. Since we have no cell phones here, this has more often than once put us in a position where calls had to be prematurely disconnected. I realize is a problem common to all cordless phones, but it was still a disappointment and I wanted to share it with you all.
...

This GPS, like most others in the market, are life-savers for any traveller. Be it a trip to the new supermarket or a vacation across the country, the Nuvi 200 will set you up so that you don't get lost along the way. Forget Mapquest or Google Maps, the GPS gives me directions and maps in real time as I am driving so that I always find my way and reach my destination safely and on time. Before reaching a turn, it always alerts me a decent distance before the intersection (and not at the last minute, unlike some other older models). The fact that you can save destinations and even listen to music are useful features of the Nuvi 200. What's even better is that it isn't even priced that high. With Black Friday coming up, you could get the Nuvi for a decent price for $100 if you know where to look. This would obviously be a great gift for anyone who can drive, but you can also use it on a bike ride or on a walk if you feel like it.
...

The Nintendo Wii is the genius brainchild of the geniuses over in Japan. This game console is the first to successfully utilize the motion controller on a grand scale with a Wii mote that has expanded into a racing wheel, bowling ball, and fitness matt! What really appeals to me about the Wii is that it is suitable for anyone of any age or gender. Seniors can enjoy playing tennis from the comfort of their living rooms and kids can always have fun fighting each other in a friendly game of Brawl. The Wii really brings together families and friends and is a great entertainment system that will last years. In an age where people get bored, the Wii gives them something to do. There is a wide variety of games to select. People interested in sports games can go for the usual football and soccer options, while others who love the motion sensing capabilities of the Wii can stick with Wii Sports, Fitness, and Mario Kart.
...

My husband is a truck driver and he owns a Garmin Nuvi 205W and he swears by it. We just recently moved from my home state of Ohio to his home state of Mississippi. He stays out 5 weeks at a time. He figured since he is hardly home that I need a navagation system to find my way around. I was apprehensive at first. I don't adapt well to modern technology sometimes. But I can honestly say that its the best investment I think we have ever made. I can go explore anywhere and not have to worry about finding my way home or getting lost trying to find where I am going. I love the feature that you can look for a particular address or you can search for what type of place you are looking for, such as fast food restraunts. I didn't know alot about the area here and what all was around here but with this feature I can find exactly what I am looking for before I even leave home. It tells me exactly how many miles it is away from me, what time I will arrive there, and even with the current gas prices,...
...

My son uses this camera and he has taken great pictures from it. In general, this camera works well. The quality of the photos is outstanding for a non-SLR digital camera. The only drawbacks are that the zoom is not powerful enough, the digital zoom is too pixelated, and that the focus is inconsistent. In addition, sometimes taking photos in the dark or at night may lack quality. I like the menu and options that are provided as well as the handy USB cord and camera holder that came with it. The coolpix is in a nice shade of blue with a pretty sleek design. Kids and adults alike will find it easy to use. This camera is perfect for the everyday layman who cringes at the sight of those fancy high-end models. With two double A batteries and an SD memory card, literally anyone can start taking pictures right out of the box. The coolpix line has also been in a commercial with Ashton Kutcher for anyone who cares.
...

I have been using the Nikon D50 with my students in photography for the last semester and I must say that these cameras are built like tanks. Kids really don't care for them well, but there have been no issues with any of them so far except for a vandalized USB port. These cameras take pictures of amazing quality and are really easy to use. My students and I love the knob that lets you select many different types of features from motion and macro to landscape and night photos. One cool feature is the bulb mode, where you can use flashlights to draw anything that the camera will capture. For example, our class drew names, wings, and halos using a Nikon D50. The students enjoy using these cameras and I recommend them for any aspiring photographer or professional. These cameras are useful whether you know nothing about taking pictures or even if you have been doing it for years. The versatility and quality of the images is worth every penny!
...

Love my new AT&T phone! This is a cordless phone, it has 2 handsets and a base! We need the base, incase the electric goes out, in our area if the storms get bad, it seems to happen alot! But we love the codless phones too! The phones are fun, it has an answering machine in the base, so that is a great acessory to have on the phone! The phone also has caller ID! Who can live without caller ID now, we love our caller ID, and love to know who is calling too! The other feature we have on the phone that we absolutely love is the intercome system. We can have a phone upstairs and a phone downstairs and hit a button and call upstairs to the other phone and talk to someone. It's almost like a paging system! This is great to call a child and let them know it's time for dinner or something easy like that. What a great feature. The phones are easy to clean, and black! Love them because they are light as well.
...

Kerbear12290 says "Env Touch...not what i thought it would be." about LG - EnV Touch Cell Phone

I got this phone recently and i was surprised to find what the call apps for the phone is just the same old games verizon has always had nothing compared to the iphone apps. Recently my phone has been turning off randomly and resetting itself, which is a complete pain. I would say save your money, and get the env 3. ( the touch screen isnt that great ) or splurge on a blackberry. Your choice. Also for a heavy texter as myself your going to get a battery life of maybe 4 hours, and the flash is way to bright.
...

thirteenthmuse says "Playstation 3...awesome game console." about Playstation 3

Sony Playstation 3 is by far one of the best consoles I have ever had the pleasure to own and play. From the sleek design, easy usability, and vast variety of games offered, this console definitely outdoes the older versions. Users of the Playstation 3 can look forward to wonderful options such as wireless controlers that you plug up when they need to be recharged, Blue Ray High Def DVD playing capabilities, and a large storage capacity. It has wireless internet connection (no wires needed), memory card and usb slots, and dualshock controllers. One of the best things about the Playstation 3 is the backwards compatibility. My husband was thrilled to put his Final Fantasy for the regular old Playstation into his Playstation 3 and have it play. No more having to go out and rebuy every single game you love to play. So if you are looking for a good, affordable game console pick the Playstation 3.
...
