this is probably the best operating system on the market at this time for the everyday user. vista uses too much memory and will require massive upgrades for stable/quality performance. and all operating systems before this do not utilize the memory enough or o not run as efficiently. mac operating systems are fine if you are into that sort of thing, but they do not provide a functioning environment for deeper computer work, such as development. ...

the free version is great to view pdf files. adobe really sets the standard in this field. but the program is slow on any computer that isnt top of the line. also a con is that they bundle it with all sorts of software that you will never use. almost everything from adobe has a few extra processes running in the background that take up memory as well and are not needed. there are plenty of freeware programs out there that load faster and work just as well. I recommend searching for one of...

Ok, so why review something that comes with your computer? Because I would hate to see someone not utilize what they already have. I never used to use Paint because it seemed so juvenile. Recently, however, I've started playing RPG games where you can make banners and such. I've used paint for all of my banners... and I have people asking me to make them some, wondering what program I've used. They are all shocked when I tell them Paint. This nifty little application allows you to resize, rotate, paint, crop, cut, add text, and more. I know this sounds so stupid, but if you play with it for a while, there are so many things you can do that you would be shocked. I'm just asking you, before you go out and buy an expensive program... give Paint a...

We wanted to cut Credit card processing fees and wanted to switch to a lower commission based processor. ICverify wanted $100.00 to re-register the software. This additional expenses will offset the savings and we believe that ICverify is taking full advantage of the monopoly they are in as they are holding us now hostage! To continue the use of the software that we have already paid for, we have to pay an additional $100.00! This is said to be in their terms and conditions that nobody reads or manage. I do not recall seeing this hidden charge in their software agreement but they claim they have it there! They also have the right to edit the agreement anytime they want! I called their Supervisor last week, left a message and they did not have the guts to return the call. Don't fall victim to their scam, shop around and keep in mind that they want access to your wallet every time you change vendors. This is the most outrageous scam I have ever...

I love WindowsTM*. — Without going into the whole "Mac vs. PC" thing, I'll just summarize by saying that all of the reasons that so many have switched to Mac are the same reasons that I'll most likely never leave. The foremost being that I never seem to tire of discovering new ways to tweak, boost, modify, streamline, personalize, customize, and improve my system. — Fixing my computers inherent vulnerabilities has become somewhat of a compulsion for me, and while this may not appeal to you (as a fellow PC enthusiast) whatsoever - to some extent, it should. — As you may or may not be aware Windows machines can (and usually will) get cluttered, slow, and often unstable over time (Mac users needn't worry about this as they only have two operating modes: great and not at all), but not to worry. There's literally dozens, if not hundreds of corrective measures one can take, and if you're like most you'd probably appreciate a piece of software that could accomplish these...
