I've only ever trusted Lexmark printers- True, I'm the only person I know that flaunts that, but then again I'm the only person I know with a printer that does exactly what I want (I'm a graphics college student so only the best will do), when I want (like at finals' crunch time), in plain English, on the first try. Add to it that it's an All-In-One, what more could you want? I can honestly say, I've never had a problem with a Lexmark- at least that hasn't been the result of my little sister fooling around. ^^' — P.S.- Inkjets are also more environment-friendly than laser, as the ink cartridges can be recycled. =) —...

plchanger says "I wouldn't buy it" about Lexmark lexmark1200 series

I bought my Lexmark 1200 about a year ago, and it's been sitting in it's original box for about the last 7 months. We used it a few times for regular paperwork, no big images or anything. It is very inexpensive, and as soon as you use it, it's painfully obvious why. It's clumsy, flimsy, and the ink ran out on us within the first month of owning it, and that's without daily printing. — — I am currently using an all-in-one printer from Epson, and the ink lasts longer, the print quality is amazing, and the options are way better. I spent about $100 on the Epson, and about $25 on the Lexmark, and even though money is not always a constant, I still wouldn't consider buying a Lexmark again, especially not if it's "on sale". —...

Recently helped my father with inserting new ink cartridges into his Lexmark 1200 series printer. He was not pushing them in til they "clicked" and had a hard time getting the little cartridges out to begin with. My experience was a bit smoother as I work with computers and printers almost everyday. But for my 73 year old father that is not the case. — I thought your printer worked well, was clean and clear and I had no problem with the replacing the ink cartridges, however, others may find some challenge to the removal and insertion of same. —...

This Is A Great Product! — I highly recommend this all-in-one printer, scanner and copier from HP. Right from the start is is easy to setup, figure out how to use and with just one press of a button you can have a copy in color or black and white without even having to use the computer at all! — The only reason it did not get five stars is because it is not very fast and takes about one minute per copy, so I do not recommend it for those that want to make allot of copies. It is perfect, however, for those looking to do basic work from home and who are looking to do so at an afforadable price. — I am pleased with my purchase! —...

I got the Lexmark 1240 in October, to replace a brand new HP that wasn't working. While I love the Lexmark brand, I'm not thrilled with this printer. When I scan, it squeaks. It has had it's share of jammed paper, prints lines (even after aligning), and is just not my fave printer overall. I bought the Lexmark as the printer I had before (& LOVED) was a Lexie as well. My next purchase may or may not be a Lexie. This one has definitely made me think my loyalty. I guess you get what you pay for, even with a good...

Hewlett-Packard has presented a very affordable option to the public with their HP Scanjet 4370 Photo Scanner. A flatbed scanner that will sit comfortably on the desk top, it is capable of scanning printed text, pictures, or photographic negatives. The size of the device is about 18.5 inches long by about 11.7 inches wide, so it will take up a little space, but the trade-off is that it is very easy to use. — Right out of the box, it is simple to set up the scanner using the step-by-step instructions on the setup poster from the box. After installing the HP Image Zone Software (Included with scanner), you will have the ability to perform scans using both an icon on the desktop and front panel buttons on the scanner itself. These four buttons allow the user to scan documents, scan film, copy documents, or scan-to-share with a simple press of that front panel. This gives you a quick option, but it is always recommended to use the HP Solution Center (through the icon), because that...

I love the Canon 4400f scanner. I've been using it for a few months and find the quality very good. I don't use many of the features on the scanner, such as scanning negatives, but for the simple uses I have I find it easy and effective. I like the fact that I can scan a multiple page document and have it stored on my hard disk as one document. On my previous scanner, a three page document would be saved as three separate files. The only negative comment I have would be the time it takes for the first page to scan. A message comes up on my computer screen telling me not to open the lid because the lamp is being adjusted. Nothing seems to be happening, so I guess its just a silent process --- not even the light comes on during this time. The additional pages scan more quickly. Overall I am quite satisfied with this...

As a graphic design professional, I depend on my scanner to give me outstanding resolution, dependable performance and speed. This scanner does it all at an incredible price. Both the scanner and the software was incredibly easy to use right out of the box. — — I did my research on professional photography, design & PC sites and this was one of the top three -- and the least expensive (by far) of the bunch.

The quality of this scanner is surprisingly good for the low price. It's so thin, I keep it stored stuck in-between the computer on the floor and the desk I use. It is also the fastest scanner I've ever used. It is very quick especially on pages of text. The quality of the pictures scanned is very good. — — The only negative in my opinion is the software. It's good, but so much software comes with it, that it can get very confusing trying to find which piece of software to use for the particular job you want to do with it. — The OCR software that comes with it is usually reasonably good, but not perfect. — —...
