This is a great printer. Very reliable and fast. Probably good only for home use, but does the job right and precise. The onlly issue I have, as in most printers, is that the black ink runs out very fast and is expensive to replace routinely. I have had this printer for 5 years and it has worked just great for me. It would be nice if an ink company would come out with something that would last longer. I frequently write papers and letters for acquaintences, so I have to always have an extra ink cartridge on hand in case I run out. I have looked into other printers, but since this one is so reliable, I will be keeping it. So If you're just looking for a simple, reliable printer, this is the one to do the job. I have worked in and office for 25 years and have not encountered a nice easy printer like this one. Not only easy and fast, but easy to troubleshoot such as paper jams. The HP support disc that comes with it is very helpful.
...

abuela says "cost-conscious every day computer lover" about hp Deskjet D-1520

I am using a HP Deskjet D1520 printer, my second one in 7 months. This one is fixing to go without I can get it to work right. I WILL NOT buy another one of these. My first one lasted 20 days, then it would start printing on its own. You didn't have to be online or even in the room. Would just start printing things you had looked at one time or another. This one wants to skip words or whole sentences. May print a page correct & then leave out 3/4 of the next one. Have did every thing help material says but still not working well.

They are an affordable printer & may work well for a few weeks. Don't think one will be dependable for very long. I don't use one a lot, so it wasn't over worked.

reed7333 says "Lexmark inkjet small printer is not a good buy" about Lexmark Lexmark color inkjet printer

I bought the small Lexmark printer inkjet for my daughter since she doesn't do a lot of printing. Boy what a waster of money. It is a good thing it did not cost a lot. When it ran out of ink, the ink cartridges were more than the printer and the quality was not that good. It seems that the cartridges didn't last long and getting the refurbished cartridges for it were a joke because they wouldn't work in the printer. She and my grandson had so many problems with it that we disposed of it and bought a small HP printer. Before you buy a Lexmark, check the price of the cartridges to see if they cost more than the printer. The Lexmark small inkjet printer is not one I would recommend, although I have heard people say that they really like it. I don't think it is worth the money. The print quality was not that good and the ink did not last that long. I would check on other printers first before settling on a Lexmark.
...

I love this printer! I originally bought it for around $50 from Walmart and it has been such a great printer. I've had it for about a year and a half now. I print a lot of coupons and I love that I can turn off the color and only print black and white. It has software that came with it and it's so easy to use and customize to how you want it. The printer ink is the expensive part about it but I use a ink refilling service that fills the ink cartridges rather than paying around $25 for a brand new ink cartridge. Other great things about it is that it is a scanner, fax machine, and copy machine. The copy machine works great. You can either feed it through the back or lift the top cover up and copy individual peices of paper. For the price you will not find any better. Ink prices are pretty reasonable if you are buying them brand new too.
...

i found this printer online for really good price with a rebate so we bought it. i am so suprised, we ve had same ink and toner in it for a year, (i print not a lot, but when i do, its a lot, id say about 50 pages a month.) anyway yes the toner and ink are a little more expensive than a printer you can get at walmart- but overall its definitely worth it in the long run. i do not like that it only prints black and white, but i don't need color anyway, and its saves us money , so hey, its a good buy!
...

bcarlson15210 says "Excellent, fast printer for the money! Works with Windows 7" about Hewlett Packard HP LaserJet P2055dn

I just got this HP LaserJet P2055dn B&W printer to go with the next installation of Windows 7.

First of all, installation could not have been simpler or easier. We connected it to the computer, plugged it in and turned it on and within seconds it was installed and tested.

It prints fast, whether it's just text or graphics-rich documents. It's nice when you have large documents to print.

One feature I like is the "one-handed paper loading" ... a vast improvement over my last LaserJet which had to be wrestled with just to load paper.

I haven't had it long enough to discuss long-term reliability, but my last HP printer never caused a problem, and I expect this one to be reliable as well.

I also like the somewhat "sleeker" look compared to my last printer. It prints up to 8.5x14, but it's a bit smaller than the last one. Smaller is always nice.
...

I bought this printer, HP Photosmart C5280, to replace 2 printers that I used for the same purpose. Back in the day I had a regular printer for everyday printing and a photo printer for printing my photos. I hated having 2 printers, they took up so much room on my desk. I couldn't wait for one of the printers to go so I could justify buying a new one. I bought this one about a year and and a half ago. It has been wonderful and very reliable. I use it a lot to print documents for a golf outing my husband and I host. It is asked to do a lot of printing for this outing and it is working great. No complaints at all. I also like the idea of being able to print directly on a CD. Great feature.
...

functions remain the same and the vibrant colors are still easy to read. The options aren't as sophisticated as those of the , but they're fine for the average photo enthusiast. We're also happy to see that the home screen has a shortcut to copy a document or a photo--we usually see this option at least two or three clicks into the menu.

The 5250 employs one paper tray that handles input feeds and also corrals outgoing prints. It can accommodate up to 100 sheets of paper in a variety of sizes, but at this price we would have liked to see two separate trays for output organization and perhaps even a separate tray for 4-inch-by-6-inch photo paper so users don't have to deal with taking out paper every time they want to swap media. We also encountered paper jams on par with our ESP 5 experience, except this time the paper input tray had trouble picking up photo paper. We specified the 3x5 setting in the driver options, but the printer kept rejecting the paper and spitting out an empty sheet....
...

The Lexmark X2690 is a very good printer for home use. The printing is clear and brite and it is easy to use. The scannering programs that came with my printer are just what I need. I am retired and I have the time to scan all those family photos I have been collecting for the last 60 years.

The Kodak ESP-3 printer

Kodak has done a fantastic job in building a user friendly printer for home use. This printer is easy to use and it does a fantastic job

I've had my printer for about a year now and I have had no problems at all with it. like all printers priodically it will have a paper jam (not very often at all). All you have to do is remove the feed roller assembly from the back of the unit and the paper comes right out.

picture quality is very good, but always use the premium paper. You can get a package of 120 4x6 sheets and a color ink cartridge for about $15.00

ink cartridges are very inexpensive. A package with both color and black cartridges is less than $25.00

When printing just standard documents I always use the advanced settings and change my print to black and white to save my color cartridge and to save money.

I truly appreciate the Lexmark printer we have owned for about a year now. It certainly has its work cut out for it in our home. It gets used for school work, printing out greeting cards, coloring sheets, etc. It also has the wonderful copy feature for those last minute copies of things that you need and would never have time to run out and expensively get. It is very reliable and effective in its work. The print does not seem to get much lighter as the cartridge is low which I really appreciate. I would say of all the printers we have owned, and there have been quite a few, that this is the winner. I would definitely purchase this brand of printer again, and face it, we all need a printer with our computer these days! Good job, Lexmark!! You have showed the printer world what a quality printer should do and how to do it well. When you spend the kind of money that you can on computer equipment, you want to feel you are getting the best.
...

i actually started using a computer about eight years ago. however, i never thought i was smart enough or savvy enough to try using a printer or even trying to install one. i have purchased several printers over the years and have found that some of them just don't "hold up" to the challenge of frequent use. i have experienced frequent break-downs, smeared ink, illegible ink, quick run-out of ink and just general system failure. i wonder just how many printers i have thrown in the garbage? over the course of eight years, i would say probably at least five have found their way to the dump. i have owned cheap printers and expensive printers. one day, quite frustrated, i decided to try an all-in-one printer because i figured that maybe i needed to purchase a more high-ended printer in order to avoid all the frustration of break-down and inferior printing results. big mistake!! i purchased an all-in-one printer twice in the span of five years and found they were just junk. i even payed nearly...
...

roland11 says "Epson Stylus CX4800 good" about Epson Epson Stylus CX4800

If you purchase a new or used all in one printer choose for epson. Because the quality is here and the volume of printing it is very good. My all in one printer it's printing with best quality if you don't printing a photo many more. For print a black an white and color basic it is good. The faster time to printing page it is good. My scanner it's a litlle bite slowly but it's comprehensive. For the tax for 2009 it's perfect. The color it's good for working at home. It's very simply you adjust with a simple touch and he print with a 100 page over. You choose how many pages of your document we printing and the print it's go. The just problem it's for a quality color of the photo it's a litlle bit palle with a store develope photo but it's not perfect. And the service of the compagny it is very good. Before a have a cx4200 and he is broken and i receive this is print for free. I have not problem with this item but bye bye and happy nice day
...

dlangel3057 says "The HP Deskjet F440 is a great budget All-In-One printer." about Hewlett Packard DeskjetF4440

The HP Deskjet F440 is a great budget All-In-One printer. The ink cartridges are inexpensive and come in two sizes to better suit your individual needs. Also, there are only two ink cartridges to deal with. Also, when installing new cartridges, the printer prints a calibration page to adjust the print heads for best picture quality. The copy function does both color photos and black and white documents with the push of a button. This printer can make borderless pictures that are crystal clear and look as though they are from a more expensive printer. Printing is very quick with very little time spent waiting. The printer is Energy Star compliant and uses very little energy on standby.

On the negative side, I have not been able to use some of the features yet because the program is very difficult to work with. I was unable to install the HP software, but was able to use the drivers on the disc for the printer. To this day, the scanner is useless because of HP's software......
...

swans says "Lexmark X1270 InkJet All-In-One Printer-a workhorse for novices" about Lexmark X1270 InkJet Printer

This is my second experience with Lexmark. My first Lexmark printer was a Z75. I purchased it because it was such a great price and my other printer had expired after serving my meager needs well for a long time.

I worked the Z75 to death and it paid for itself over and over-I hated to see it go. I was dreading buying another printer since I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I was pleasantly surprised at the price of the X1270 which was an All-In-One InkJet Printer.

I didn't even know All-In-Ones existed but was delighted to find not only a color printer, but also a copier (no more sneaking things that needed copying into work), a scanner (I only vaguely knew what that was and have only begun to delve into all it can do), and a fax machine. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!

I'm sure that more seasoned computer people would look down their noses at my little workhorse, but it is completely sufficient for what I want to do. My needs are simple-I make copies from...
...
