It got full of water.  I turned it upside down (outside of course) let it drain, and aired it out on a sunny day.  When I plugged it back in...IT WORKED!  — I've tried one Lexmark.  It lasted only a little over a year.  And there was no generic ink cartridges to be found anywhere.  Expensive!  I went back to Epson.  I found my current one on-line at the Epson Store.  Then I went to "Clearance Center".  I found a refurbished Stylus CX-4800 for $50.00...shipping included.  It carried a one year warranty, same as a new one.  What the heck...I bought it and I like it. — I get my 'generic' cartridges through printpal.com.  I can buy all four cartridges through them about the same price as one through Office Max or Office Depot.  —... If I'm not using the printer my children are.  The only problem I had with toe printer is paper jam but that's easy to fix it always let me know when I'm low in ink. As far as faxing it does well. When I got home and unpacked the printer, and cable I discovered that the Lexmark Z1300 didn't come with a black inkjet cartridge. I went back to the store where I bought the printer and was told they don't carry that cartridge. Now my thinking is, I asked the clerk do I need anything else to set up my new printer. I went by what the clerk told me and now I have a printer I can't use. This is not a way to keep repeat custumors. Now I'm going everywhere looking for an inkjet cartridge that Walmart should have had in stock.
