jamfind says "HPJ6480 All-in-One: a great space-saver with many helpful uses." about Hewlett Packard HP J6480 All-in-One

Hewlett-Packard's J6480 All-in-One is a great printer, copier, fax machine and scanner for use in our home. We do use it for some minor, work-related business, but it mainly serves as a convenience in this area. As an ink jet color printer, it gives good copies with the ability to adjust the settings for quality and ink usage. As a copier, it is not a true, toner-using machine. Its copying capabilities are simply printing from a glass panel scanner, so the copying smudges when wet like all printed ink. It is a typical fax machine that hasn't given us any problems, but then again, we don't spend a lot of time faxing. It is a good quality scanner that is compatible with other software that I already had in my computer. One drawback is that it takes a very long time to print photos. However, the quality is excellent, so I guess it's a trade off.

This printer produces fine-quality colors that are very close to what appears on the monitor. The ink isn't very expensive,...
...

JenniferCossel says "Lexmark Z2420, a good printer for occasional home office use." about Lexmark Inkjet Z2420

My husband purchased my Lexmark Inkjet Z2420 printer for me after my HP all-in-one printer broke right in the middle of writing a paper. I was frantic and he went to the store and purchased this quickly without much opportunity to compare and contrast different brands and models. There are definite pros and cons to this printer. The pros are that it is easy to install and use, small size/fits anywhere, is WIFI capable, prints quickly and with a good quality image and Lexmark has a great recycling program for your used ink cartridges. Some of the cons are that it does use a lot of ink compared to my old HP printer. I print regularly for my on-line courses and have found myself running low on ink on a regular basis and I have had a few technical issues with the WIFI capability resulting in my just going back to using the USB cord so I don't have to mess with it. All-in-all a good computer for the occasional home office printing.
...

Our printer stopped working correctly so I decided instead of wasting time trying to fix it I would just purchase a new printer. I headed to the office supply store to do some browsing. We had an all-in-one printer combo previously and we needed to keep that style of printer for the type of work my husband does in our home. We also previously had a Lexmark brand printer and I liked the ease of finding ink at most stores, including our grocery store, in a pinch.

I didn't want to spend more than $100 and I saw this printer on the shelf in the $80 range. What really drew me to this model was the fact that it was a wireless model. We run a wireless network in our home with 3 desktop computers and 2 laptops. It was really frustrating when I wanted to print from my laptop and I would have to walk over to the printer and hook it up to print. This printer rocks because I just installed the software on each computer and I can print from my laptop upstairs and it will print downstairs...
...

I started dealing with home printers from the curios corner of the confused, my first encounter, it is out of kindness that I leave the name of that money pit unprinted, left me nearly printer-phobic. I have loved taking pictures and entering them in our local fair, just as a lark, not really expecting any great reviews of my eye of the world, I have humbly found that the judges really like my photos. I have about a 90% blue ribbon reputation going now and am really loving the whole thought of someday becoming a famous photographer, come on now, it is O.K. to dream!

I spent about two years learning the different photo software products out there and I have my favorite, but the printer is what I am talking about now so I will leave the software for later, but just touching on it, I have gotten a reputation of being very good at taking old damaged photos and restoring them to like new condition, no I can't compete with the guys at the local super-center, not that fast, but I do believe...
...

I absolutely love my Kodak ESP-3 all-in-one printer. The price of the printer was low, but the quality is very high !!! All of the other printers I've used in the past were expensive and the price of ink was simply outragous. However, the ink cartradges for my Kodak printer are aproximately one third of the price of all the others. Many of my past printers printed photos with lines in them. My Kodak printer prints crystal clear, line free, high quality photos. It has to because I have a digital photography business. When I first opened my photography studio I ordered prints from proffesional printing companies. By the way, this was quite expensive. However, I started noticing right away that these proffesional prints were not any better than the prints that I could print out myself using my Kodak printer. So, I began printing photos for my clients at the studio and I saved so much money. I also saved time because I didn't have to wait for the printing companys to process my order and mail...
...

Epson NX105 - All In One Printer.

After my Cannon color printer gave up the ghost, I was pressed to get a new printer. I had my reservations about getting an All In One Printer. However, after reviewing and having the Epson NX105 demonstrated to me, I made the decision to purchase this All In One Printer. The installation of the printer was straight foward. I plugged in the USB cable from the printer to my computer. My computer gave me a prompt that it had found new hardware.

After that, I took the software cd supplied with the all in one printer and installed the drivers.
This unit is relatively quiet during operation. When I copied a photograph the colors were as vivid as they are in the original photo I scanned. Scanning a document is easy. I went to my start up menu and under programs located the epson file and selected epson scan. After that, I clicked on scan and the scanner does the rest. Printing document files and graphic files is easy as well; because the Epson NX105 All In...
...

This printer is very asethetic looking. it looks very nice and is compact for an all in one. i like the scanning/copying capabilities from one page on the bed to multiple pages on the top of the scanner. it scans in wonderful dpi. im an artist and use this scanner for my smaller projects. i like that the scanner top comes almost completely off so that some of my larger artwork can be scanned too. i dont like that i cant figure out how to program the printer so it will scan documents into a pdf file. maybe it is just me, but it wont let me do this. all my documents have to be scanned as individual photos of the page. it prints nice photos, on just about any paper. i have yet to try the one paper i really want to because im afraid of jamming the printer. it jammed once on regular card stock so i dont know if it would work. i use this printer on a daily basis and for the most part it has been a very functional and useful purchase. i purchased it as a floor display...
...

I recieved this as a gift, when I first got it I found the pictures didn't print right, turns out the ink was low. I love the protability, it even has a handle so I can carry it with me where ever I go. The ink cartrage is really easy to access, because it is in the back and there is nothing to obstruct it. I can easily print my photo's without a computer all I need is a plug in. The display is easy to read and gives on-screen instructions. I once took this to my mother's house and she had absolutley no trouble using it. She even cropped some pictures while she was printing the pictures. The EPSON PictureMate does not have one touch printing. It does however, have the option to print all of your pictures or you can choose which pictures you want to print. This would make a great gift for anyone you know. Young or elderly, newlyweds, birthdays, going off to colledge, or even just to say "I love you". I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine!!
...

When I go to sites to print coupons it is useful as well as getting reciepts for payments. It also has very nice color for photos. All though I recammend you buy photo paper for that. It has a scanner to copy paper work so you don't have to go through the hassle of going to a print store just to make copies as well as scan for fax with pc fax. Everything is right at your inger tips. Also is inexpensive piece of equipment. If you are one to want to save a few bucks.
...

The HP deskjet printer D1430 is a very light printer so you can remove it easily when need to change position of the equipment and also when you need to clean the desk which for most people would be at least once a week. The other thing I noticed is that paper jams are very rare which makes it very different from other printers that I have used. The simplicity is a strong point I imagine for everyone especially the people who are not used to printers because this type of printer has only one user button at the front that is all. The paper tray is good enough for domestic use because you can load up to about twenty sheets at a time but it would not suffice for office or industrial circumstances. I have had no experience with over heating regards this printer as I have experienced with others when continuously printing a print that requires more than 5 or 6 pages.I like the simplicity of the design of the front cover.
...

Setting up the iP3000 on a PC is a snap using the included Quick Start Guide. After set-up the first thing I did was make a couple of test prints using the default settings for both standard and high quality prints. The results were on the mediocre side, so I did a little web research and found a reference to the Canon ICC Profiles Guide available here - http://homepage.mac.com/renard/ls/Canon_ICC_Profile_Guide.pdf - it gives a step-by-step method for setting up your printer to print in the Adobe RGB color space. Adobe RGB excels in rich, saturated greens and blues, so much so that you might want to back off a bit by tweaking the Canon printer driver after setting things up using the guide - the Canon printer driver allows you to save your customized settings and recall them whenever you wish with a couple of mouse clicks. Although the guide is written for users of Adobe Photoshop, there are other programs available that can utilize Adobe RGB, including later versions of Paint Shop Pro,...
...

Our Lexmark X1185 is the third Lexmark in our family. We've been using Lexmark for the past 10 years. The only reason why we buy new printers is not because we are unhappy with the one we have, but because Lexmark added technology that we want. I used our current printer to print a friend's wedding invitations. My friend and her groom to be were not, still aren't, comfortable around computers and their componants, but after a few minutes with the Lexmark X1185, they pushed me out of the room and finished the job themselves. What I don't like about the Lexmark is that when I want to print an 8 x 10 colored print, the last part of the print lacks the quality of the first part. I'm not sure if gravity pulls the paper down and affects the ink, but the last quarter inch or so always shows the tiny lines that indicates a print as opposed to a totally smooth finish like a photograph. I've scanned colored sketches, though, and kept them a 5 x 7 in the center of the page. Especially...
...

The Canon S520 printer does excellent when printer color text and black and white. The black print is crisp and clear. The color for printing pictures or text is true. The best thing I like about this is at the time of my purchase, it was the only manufacturers on the market that had individual ink containers. So there was no need to waste color ink just to replace one that was empty. Or worse, not have the machine function because of an empty ink container. The ink doesn't dry up quickly, so no need to worry if it will work in a month and the color be sharp.

The installation was easy as well. Just plug it in to the wall socket and to the back of your computer. It does the rest of the start up for you. If you need assistance, they have online help and a manual to quide you through any problems you may encounter.

The newer models have more features than this one, but if all you need is a simply printer and come across this as a used one, get it.
...

It sucks color ink like there's no tomorrow, even when nothing (ever) is printed in color. If any one of three color cartridges are dry (which they will be quickly) then you can't print anything, period, including black & white printing, or send/receive fax's, until you replace the cartridge(s). Its an absolute scam and an insult. I'll never, EVER, buy another Epson product again in my life.
...

This printer does it all - I printed a photo using some of the sample pack of 4" x 6" paper that came with it and it looks EXACTLY like I had the photo printed at a photo processing store. My other half, who is a professional photographer, was very impressed with the quality! I am sooooo impressed with this printer I can't stop telling people about it! My black and white inkjet print-outs look as good as laser print outs from the $$$$$ expensive printer at work!

I love that it has separate ink cartridges for the different colors so I don't have to replace ink that hasn't bene used up yet. I also love that you can "close" the printer up completely to keep dust and dog hair out - I didn't actually consider that factor when I was shopping for a...
...

itshers2 says "Plan on buying a lot of ink!" about Lexmark lexmark 2500

Lexmark X2500 printer review - I purchased this Lexmark from the "deal of the day" on ebay for a very low price. For the price, it is a great printer. It also copies and faxes but I can't figure out how to fax with it. The machine has payed for itself just in the copies i would have had to go somewhere and make and pay for. The Lexmark X2500 also prints in color. One of the things I like about it is that it is small and doesn't take up a bunch of room on my desk. The printing comes out beautifully and does a good job. The only draw back is that it uses ink really fast! I had read this in other reviews but for the price of the printer, I figured I could afford a few ink cartridges. Well, the ink cartridges are almost as much as the printer cost. Sometimes I think you might as well just buy a cheap all in one that comes with ink and then when it runs out, buy another one and sell the 'used" one on craigslist for a bargain and let someone else worry about finding affordable...
...

stuffedbookworm says "Good Price to buy but not if you use alot of ink" about Epson CX8400 InkJet Printer

I bought this Epson CX8400 because my large expensive printer had large expensive print cartridges and I just couldn't afford them anymore. I bought this, thinking I could save a bit of money. I did no research beyond what Staples had on sale at the time I needed it. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I homeschool and work from home as a writer. My normal printing routine ran me through cartridges every 10 to 14 days. I actually had to reevaluate my printing needs and figure out where I could cut copies. The ink costs about 60 dollars for all four cartridges that you need, and all of the ink cartridges have to have ink in them for the printer to work. If you make less than 20 or 30 copies per day, this could be the printer for you. If you print photos, the quality isn't really good enough for that, in my opinion. I could be biased because my big printer was so good at printing photos, but somehow I don't think it's just that. It does have some nice features that I like and are the only reason I don't get...
...

RSweerin says "I love my Canon iP6700D printer, it has never failed me!" about Canon iP6700D Printer

I recieved my Canon printer about two years ago and have loved it ever since. Canon is such a wonderful company and has never let me down. I am a graphic designer and print wedding invitations from my home and this is my printer of choice. Customers are continually impressed that I use an at-home printer to print their orders. I am also an avid scrapbooker and will often print photos on this printer; you can't even tell which photos are from the store and which photos I have printed at home.

I print everything on this printer- labels, recipe cards, invitations, photographs, coupons, everyday information and all on a variety of papers. It's very easy to use and the printer settings are very accomodating to my needs. I am able to print full-bleed on multiple sizes and even when the printer is set to "standard printing" instead of "high standard printing" the prints look great! I also love that the ink colors all have seperate cartridges, when replacing ink, I save money because...
...
