For years I had a simple Epson printer that came with my first Gateway PC. It was slow, but reliable. It even made it through a flood. (No kidding.) It got full of water. I turned it upside down (outside of course) let it drain, and aired it out on a sunny day. When I plugged it back in...IT WORKED! — I've tried one Lexmark. It lasted only a little over a year. And there was no generic ink cartridges to be found anywhere. Expensive! I went back to Epson. I found my current one on-line at the Epson Store. Then I went to "Clearance Center". I found a refurbished Stylus CX-4800 for $50.00...shipping included. It carried a one year warranty, same as a new one. What the heck...I bought it and I like it. — I get my 'generic' cartridges through printpal.com. I can buy all four cartridges through them about the same price as one through Office Max or Office Depot. —...

The Kodak 5300 all in one printer is by far the best printer that is available on the market today. Not only is it reasonably priced but you can actually afford to purchase the ink.

I bought this in a hurry and got screwed. — — My other printers were messing about and I needed prints in a hurry. I went and bought a new printer. It didn't work well from the second I bought it. Out of the box the drivers for direct printing worked. The drivers for network printing absolutely did not work and could never be made to work in my 3 month ownership of this printer. — — Printing will not work if the colour ink is out - even if you only want a B/W print using solely black ink. — — Printing is unimpressive with the durabright inks being easily scratched off the paper. It seems the ink lies on top of the paper rather than sinking into the paper. — — Epson's customer service refused to acknowledge or reply to several emails from me and from a gentleman that reviewed the printer. Best Buy have not thus far replied to my concerns either - since I bought this crap from them. — — Looking on ebay, the telling thing...

The CX5000 is a great printer. It prints great quality photos and has a cartridge for each individual color. This reduces waste as my previous printer would need to be changed when there was still plenty of a color left. The scanner works excellent. I scanned a picture and printed it in 8x10 size and you could barely tell the difference from the...

I finally took the plunge this year and invested in a laser printer for my home. I operate a childcare center and end up printing quite a bit.

I've been very happy with the Epson as a printer, which is its primary use in my home office. It's quick and efficient. The print quality is just fine for home office purposes. I can't offer an opinion on the scanning or fax functions just yet but based on the printing quality I would say that this is a very good buy. I like the fact that being an all-in-one piece of equipment, it saves a lot of space in my work area. I most likely will not use this machine for professional graphics but for normal office printing it's...

If you need a multi-functioning and user friendly printer, go for this one! It's simple to use. — Great benefit is, if you need to copy a book, there's a up-lifted hinge allowing space to properly copy. — The ink tends to run out quickly sometimes - not always - I'm not certain if it's because of where I get the ink.... at Best Buy (more costly) the ink it was short lived, at Staples it was lasted longer.... go figure. — I do a lot of research work / coursework and use the color printing function, plus design work - for digital pics printing, etc. and this printer although not rated very high in consumer reports, works quite well in my opinion. — I got a great deal on it at Best Buy. —...

This printer was mine about 2 years ago then my oldest daughter went to college and I gave it to her to print reports, and so on. Then the Christmas after her graduation she gave it to my youngest. She uses the computer like there is no tomorrow! We put it first at home and it kept saying no paper. We pressed the continue button but it's like it is frozen. So we brought it to work and no one could fix it not even my oldest. I guess 4 years for a printer is good but, my daughter is still upset. So we are going to get a new one from staples and donate that one for $50 off!...

Alrighty, this little printer so far has proved to be almost saintly. As we enter into a era where HD media is the way to go, its nice to see a printer following in that idea and producing higher definition and higher resolution photos. Photos that are printed off this printer are the closest thing you'll ever get on a personal printer to lab quality prints without either buying a lab printer or going to a photo lab yourself. The fact that its a all-in-one, save for fax, it doesn't have that capacity, just makes it absolutely beautiful. It even prints on CD/DVDs, and does so in a easy fashion! — — Controls on the copy, scan and print function are intuitive and easy to operate, scans well and prints text at a reasonable speed. The 2.5" LCD display is great and its easy to navigate through, with comfortable controls that aren't confusing or add difficulty to copying and printing. The ergonomics of this printer are also well laid out, all major...

I recently purchased the Lexmark Z1300 Inkjet Photo Printer from Walmart. Before paying for my purchase I asked the sales clerk if there was anything else I needed to set up the Lexmark in my home. The clerk told me all I needed was a USB cable and I would be able to start printing right away. Great I bought the printer and cable. When I got home and unpacked the printer, and cable I discovered that the Lexmark Z1300 didn't come with a black inkjet cartridge. I went back to the store where I bought the printer and was told they don't carry that cartridge. Now my thinking is, I asked the clerk do I need anything else to set up my new printer. I went by what the clerk told me and now I have a printer I can't use. This is not a way to keep repeat custumors. Now I'm going everywhere looking for an inkjet cartridge that Walmart should have had in stock. Needless to say this was not a pleasant shopping experience for me, and I will not be rushing back to Walmart any time...
