When typing started to hurt...... — After a year of writing full-time, my right hand started to hurt pretty bad. My little touch pad was forcing my right hand to make small, repetitive motions and I'd go through whole days with one very cramped, sore hand that was achy. I saw the writing on the wall and started to worry. — After I bought some voice-recognition software (less typing means less pain), a friend recommended I look into wireless mice. She said that getting away from my notebook's tiny touch pad would help uncurl my hand, and a wireless mouse could easily pack and go with me to hotel rooms wherever I was on assignment. — I felt them all...... — I went to Staples, and rested my hand on all the wireless mice. The one that felt the best was Logitech's LX 8. The wireless receiver plugs right into my USB jack and the mouse started working without having to install any drivers.......a plus. ...

SpokaneMan says "This Logitech Access Keyboard has performed wonderfully" about Logitech Access Keyboard

Begrudgingly, I finally have up on my old worn-out keyboard, and accepted the The Logitech Access Keyboard from a friend as a birthday present. To be sure, I was glad to be getting this new keyboard, but me and the old one had a lot of memories together. Now I was being thrust into the technological age of the 21st Century whether I liked it or not. Well I do like it, and I am glad that I was given this gift, because not only has it helped out my typing, but the mere appearance of this sleek new keyboard probably raised the value of my desk hundreds of dollars. Or maybe that is just what I wished after seeing how good it looked. Regardless of value though, this keyboard as been very helpful to me, and I find it much more enjoyable to type with a fully-functioning keyboard. The Logitech Access Keyboard came in a nice gray color, with the normal set-up with the letter, number and additional keys surrounding said letters. At the top left of the keyboard, we have a few of the extra...

Telpher says "A life-saver for anyone worried about repetative stress injuries" about Contour Design RollerMouse Pro

I developed an RSI about eight months ago and, to be honest, I'm surprised it took so long to happen. I spend many, many hours a day at the keyboard, and many many hours mousing around. Luckily, through the wonders of chiropractic, I've got my injury under control. I have had to make some life changes, though. — The most recent change I've made, on the advice of a professional ergonomic assessment expert and physical therapist, is the switch from a traditional mouse to the Countour RollerMouse Pro. — What, exactly, is it??? — Ok, the RollerMouse Pro is basically a tray with a built-in wrist pad. My keyboard sits on top of it. The great thing about it, the really revolutionary thing, is that it makes a mouse or trackball obsolete. — There's a rod that runs the width of the wrist pad. The typist moves this rob back and forth and up and down - using thumb, or any finger, of either hand - to mouse. In effect, the entire tray is one, big mouse. ...

I got this webcam to keep in touch with friends and family out of state. It works great for my purposes. The picture quality is great and is limited by our DSL connection speed, not the camera itself. The microphone works well for conversation. — — There is an autofocus which works well. The camera doesn't work as well as I would like in dim lighting though, but as long as there is a normal amount of light in the room it works great. — — The camera software has some fun features added to it, including zoom, and fun cartoon overlays for your picture. — — I use this webcam with MSN messenger and have had no problems with set up compatibliity. —...

bkovacs says "I like my connectors in the front" about StarTech PC Case Front Port Panel

I recently installed a card in my computer that gave me FireWire ports and a couple additional USB ports. The card works fine except that all these new connectors are only accessible on the back panel of the computer. It's much more practical having these kind of connectors on the front panel of the computer, so I looked for a solution and found it in the form of the StarTech PC Case Front Port Panel. StarTech's part number for this product is 35BAYPANEL, and I bought it for $25 at the nearby MicroCenter store. — What it is — The StarTech 35BAYPANEL is a plastic chassis that mounts into a standard 3.5-inch computer bay, such as what an old-fashioned floppy drive might use. My new Gateway computer had such a spot on its front and that's where I mounted this StarTech panel. The front panel of the 35BAYPANEL has two USB ports, one FireWire (IEEE1394) port, one nine-pin serial port and line audio in/out jacks. I really wanted it only for the FireWire port and have wired...

Okay I admit it, I spend entirely too much of my time on-line these days. Who doesn't? While I admit I am an Internet junkie and live on-line at times I want to be able to navigate easily and quickly. I own both a laptop and a desktop but the only one that ever gets used is the laptop. The mouse-pad is convenient yes, but it is not fully efficient for me. The GE Wireless Mini Optical Mouse solved my little annoyance about a year ago. — The Basics — The GE Wireless Optical Mini Mousecomes packaged with everything you need to get started; the mouse, USB wireless receiver, two 'AAA' batteries and the users guide. It comes with 256 codes to prevent interference - nothing for you to do on your part for this to work. The mouse comes complete with the typical left and right buttons and scroll wheel in the middle. The scroll wheel is one of the smoothest and quietest I have ever used. It allows you to scroll...

JaKaTTaK94 says "Overrated according to the box but gets the job done." about Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Personal Web Camera

I won the Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 on Live Search Club (www.club.live.com). It was completely free (no shipping or anything) so I really can't complain. However, the box describes it with amazing terminology such as High Quality Video and Crystal Clear audio. In contrary, it's just an ordinary webcam. It suffices the need of a webcam but you don't want to use it to shoot your big movie production or short film. The video gets pixelated when any fast movement takes place and the audio is semi-clear. What was cool, though, was the effect to zoom in and pan. Also, they have many animated graphics to place on top of the video such as a ladybug moving about the screen over your video or a basketball bouncing. That's probably the best part of it (but it never mentioned that stuff on the box, go figure). A truly adequate product. However, on the same website mentioned above, I just recently won the LifeCam VX-6000. I yet need to set it up. I'll probably use that and post up another review...

I have always like the quality put into every Logitech product and this is no exception to that feeling. So when my corded mouse started acting erratic with my laptop I needed to find another mouse. My old one still works good but the laptop case has gotten shiny and the old red laser on my old Logitech just doesn't want to work on it. So I put it on my desktop and replaced it with this new Logitech LX7 "Invisible" Optic Mouse — — Logitech LX7 Invisible Optic Mouse — — I am not sure what the difference is with this being an Invisible optic mouse other than you can't see a red light on the bottom of it...lol Anyway this is a normal sized mouse with no cord to get in the way. It does come with a Docking Stand that plugs into your USB port and then you can plug the little receiver into it or you can plug the USB Receiver directly into your computer. It depends on what your choice or situation is as to which way you do it. The box also contains an...

To the PointAfter learning about Skypes my husband got us a good webcam for home. He sent me the QuickCam Messenger (Chat)** from Logitech, which he told me was not expensive but does the trick. I am able to see him and my Hanna (a 4-year old Pomeranian). It's worked out wonderfully while I've been in Florida taking care of my mom. — A Closer View — I'm not a techie so I'll be describing this as I used it and leave some specifications at the bottom. — When I got it and took it out of the package I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to set it up but it couldn't have been simpler. It came with software which walked me through very simple steps. It might have taken me 10 minutes but probably less. — Great so I have it installed; then I had to see if and how it worked. My husband called me through Skypes and was able to see and hear me. I just put the cable into one of my ports just as I would do for my camera or flash drive.
I recently purchased a laptop computer, and one thing I hate more than anything is using touch-pads. I simply suck when it comes to touch-pads. They annoy me, they bother me, they are glitchy to me. Or...maybe I am just used to using a mouse on my work desktop computer. — Either way though, when I got the new laptop, I wanted a wireless mouse to go with it.
m2jason says "Aptly named!" about Apple Mighty Mouse

This is a great step forward for Macs. Simple, easy to use software makes this mouse virtually endlessly versatile. The addition of not only a right button on the mouse, but a scroll wheel and side buttons allow you to manipulate various Finder based features, as well as many other software specific features. Though arguably long over due, these features are done in true Apple form - simple and elegant. Add in a 360 degree scroll wheel at your finger tips and you have one of the most versatile mice on the market. — —

One of my favorite features of this peripheral is the ability to use only one battery. This is fantastic - I use rechargeable batteries in mine and this feature gives me the ability to charge one while continuing to work. — —

A great overall device - well worth the price for the features and versatility. — —...

It has been especially good for a lefty like me who always used to struggle with moving the cord around. However, the wireless mouse's signal isn't always the best and quite frequently (sometimes a couple of times a day) we have to search for a better signal to make the mouse work properly.
