ddupmul says "So good, I bought two!" about Apple Mini Mac (MA607LL/A) Mac Desktop

I got the Intel Mac Mini as a birthday present when it first came out with the Intel processor. I use it for everything. It's great because it is sooooo quiet (it replaced a noisy PowerMac G4), and yet has the power to handle lots of concurrent tasks. —

I recently purchased a second one, that I use for a media computer connected to our TV. We're currently living in an area without much TV service, but I can podcast my favorite programs to fill in the void. It comes with Front Row software (all Macs do) and a remote, so it's easy to setup. All I needed was a DVI to video adaptor from Apple ($19.95) and I've got a media machine! —

It does run a little hot when in it's normal position, but it easily stands on it's side and stays plenty cool, even here in the Caribbean. —...

I bought the emachine T5230 in February of this year. It is the first computer I have owned although I have had access to and used many different types. I bought the computer on-line and was not familiar with the brand name but I got a good deal. I would have to say that overall I am pleased with the machine and it's capabilities. I am still familiarizing myself with the Vista program and find that alot of things are not compatible with the Operating System.I would recommend this machine to others on a...

I had mine customized and was able to get everything I wanted in it for a great price. The customer service is Excellent!! Windows Vista had a few issues at first but when the internet was hooked up to it it could update itself and the quirks worked their way out. I did have to replace the hard drive about a month after using it but was able to bring it back up using the computer's recovery mode and was able to save my files to a disk. The resolution is great, the speakers are great, and overall its great for everyday office and home...

The T3304 Desktop Computer offers resonable performance for a resonable price. Just a tip, buy a new OS as the standard package comes with a bunch of junk you do not want that will slow your comp down. Pretty lousy Bios options no overclocking for those nerdy folk but for the standard user, this will do just...

The MAC mini has been a great replacement server for my old Windows 2003 box. It performs like a champ and with little to no maintenance. I've had it running for over a year now (on 24/7 hosting several websites) and I have not had any problems. I Upgraded the Ram to 2 gig and other than that I haven't done a thing to it. I use a regular "pc" mouse, a mac wireless keyboard and a sony monitor. It is the only server on my network of 2 laptops and 2 PC's. I couldn't be happier with it and can't wait to upgrade to Leopard! ...

I'd never laid fingers to a MAC before my husband purchased two for us last month. I've been a loyal Gateway customer until the last one started crapping out a year before the 3 year extended warranty was up, and they gave me problems about fixing it. I said "no more!" and started looking at the iMAC. I love it! Easy to learn, easy to use, so many options, and I can still use Microsoft Office on it, which is important to me, because I do work that requires Word. — What's not to love? It takes up so much less space, the graphics are awesome (I am an amateur photographer), many features I've yet to even tap into. Took all of about 10 minutes to get out of the box, set up and turned on. And who says it's more expensive than a PC? IMO it's less expensive, because everything I needed (other than Microsoft Office) was loaded onto it already! I have paid more for PCs in the past, not to mention the extras I wanted/needed on them. — I'm sold on the...

I turned my computer on one morning and got nothing but a blank screen and a mouse arrow. I was on the phone with Gateway Support for several hours on and off with different people. The bottom line is the hard drive is dead and I have to send the computer back to Gateway. They'll install a new hard drive and I'll loose all the files and pictures that were on the computer. This will take 3-4 weeks. They did send me a box to return the computer in but the box was configured for sending back a desktop tower and the The "One" wouldn't fit in it....

Using an iMac is like driving a high performance car. It will get you to the same place as your old clunker, it just makes the ride a whole lot more enjoyable. Apple has done a fantastic job of combining performance and style. The iMac is very user friendly and easy to put together. I had it up in running about five minutes after I got it out of the box. I recently started using VMWare fusion with Windows XP on the Mac; I've never had such a pleasurable windows experience before either. It runs faster and with far fewer errors. I have yet to encounter "not responding" on my virtualized enviroment. With the advent of VMware I have no idea why anyone would ever buy a PC again. With the amount of memory and processing power available on the iMac, it really is a great value for what you pay....
