I have had many computers, both through work and by personal choice. Without a doubt, my HP dv6000 is the best computer I have ever owned or used. I was able to choose numerous upgrades, get 2GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive and the fastest processor available for under $1000. I have recommended it to many friends, resulting in numerous purchases. I can't see ever choosing another brand. — Many have complained about VISTA; my computer had VISTA and I upgraded to the Home Premium package. I love it and have not had any problem. VISTA incorporates the interesting MAC applications with the reliability and ease of Microsoft. — As an avid user of all kinds of technology, my device has to be reliable the HP dv6000 is perfect for my needs. Additionally, it saw me through the successful completion of an equally successful graduate program! —...

This printer is great because it is lightweight, can be moved anywhere and uses a usb device which means no screwing and unscrewing of printer cables everytime you don't want to use it. It print color and black and can fit easily onto the desktop or under it. The ink cartriges are about 25 dollars each for the coor and black but refill kits are available for about 10 dollars on ebay or such site and can last you a long times. Refill kits are however to be used only about once because they tend to malfunction afterwards....

It is a thin laptop with a high memory and a good battery ( a very typical of DELL) . It really loads the programs pretty quickly. Graphics quality is really good. It's big screen is also really good for watching videos etc. Somehow it does not cause that much pain in my eyes as used to do my previous HP laptop. —

I like this machine - it is a great replacement for a desktop and portable enough to move from place to place although not really small enough to be called a laptop. — I have had the machine for less than a year and hardly ever move the machine (I use it as a desktop). While I was working on the system the screen went blank and never came back. I called Dell support and went through three support people who did not have a way to look up my records before they finally told me that there was a separate number for these systems. I actually got to speak with an american english speaking support tech on that fourth call....only problem is that they were not able to correctly determine that it was not the monitor. Four business days later a tech showed to replace the screen only to find out it wasn't the screen. Four business days later they sent me a box to send the machine out to a support depot. The...

In all, the Dell brand of laptop is a quality machine and has been one of the best on the market for a few years now. They do use cheaper parts in their computers to give the consumer a less-expensive product, but, in the competitive world of computer part manufacturing, most parts perform at about the same level. Therefore, Dell products are typically a sound investment. — — Although Dell products are usually good buys, there are a few things that bother me about this particular model.... — — 1. Unless you check your email and play solitare ONLY, this laptop is going to run choppy, at best. The 1gb of RAM is simply not enough to run Vista, that is, unless you plan on staring at the screen all day. — — 2. 100 gb hard drive is well below the standard for todays laptops. And, with the cost of upgrading a laptop hard drive, its better just to get a larger one to begin with. — — 3. Unless you plan on having this power-hungry plugged into...

i have enjoyed my laptop for about a year. then the battery started to not hold a charge very long. before long it would only hold a charge for about 30 minutes, which is about 4 hours shorter than when it was new. i checked to see how much a replacement battery is, and it is about $160 from dell. which isnt too bad except that the reviews on dells website say that the replacement battery lasts about the same. i will not buy another dell computer if this is the quality that they put into their laptops....
