pblanton says "Best watch I have ever had" about Citizen Jr3155 54e Black Eagle Skyhawk Watch for Men

I have a love affair with wristwatches. When I was a little kid the best gift I got was a watch, when I was about five. I have loved them ever since. — — I own a Breitling, a Tag-Heuer, a Rolex, a couple of different Timexes, a couple of different Seikos and a handful of unique timepieces. One of my favorites is an old "Rock Clock" that has a stone face. Engraved into the face is a silouette of Wile E. Coyote; as if he had smashed into the rock at the bottom of a ravine. I love that one, but I digress. — — Recently - while in a jewelry store helping my daughter shop for a purity ring - I saw the Citizen Black Eagle Skyhawk (Jr3155 54e); and I was smitten right away. The store wanted ~$400 for it and I thought I could do better, so I passed, but the fuse was lit. — — I shopped all over the Internet and found that while the retail price is ~$500, you can get the metal-bracelet version for ~$280 all day long online. — — I set up an EBay...

Jo says "Getting Engaged? Why Spend $20,000 When You Can Spend $200?" about Diamonique at QVC - Inscribed Love Ring

To the PointI was buying quite a few items from QVC. When Diamonique 1.75 carat total weight Inscribed Love Ring, 14K went on the screen I went to the website to look at it a bit more. $198.00 is more than I've ever spent at QVC but this just looked beautiful. Note that I have a couple of real diamond rings that are beautiful so for me to have kept the Inscribed Love Ring it had to be amazing. — A Closer View — — The Love Ring is inscribed just as in the name with the word love inside the band with a tiny diamond next to the word. Unfortunately along with 14k (gold) we're told that the ring is made in China. — When it came I was amazed at how beautiful this ring is. With a center stone of about 1 1/2 carats it is totally believable as the salespeople say on the show. There are tiny "diamonds" on each side of the stone making this a total of 1 3/4 carats. — I have seen CZ (cubic zirconia) before and it just doesn't shine leaving the...

I recently attended a Silpada Party and fell in love with the jewelry.Thinking that maybe since its a little pricy that it is quality. Boy was I wrong . I was so excited when I received my braclet in the mail today. I wore it around all day and before I went to bed I went to take it off and it broke into pieces right before my eyes. I could not belive it . I am still in aawww. It didn't even last 8 hours. I have costume jewelry ,bought at inexpensive stores in the mall that have lasted years. Never again will I buy from them or attend a party. What a joke!!! —...

Jo says "My neck hosts Steel and I love it. " about Steel by Design - 18" Two-tone Multi-circle Neck.Stainless/18K

To the PointDuring my days of being hooked on QVC I learned about Designs by Steel. I saw the necklace shown; thought that it looked cute and bought it at what I thought was a reasonable price. I like it. — A Closer View — I liked this necklace because I wear silver/white gold and gold together. This necklace gives me 7 hoops of silver tone and 6 smaller hoops of gold tone. They're set on links making them sort of free floating. The larger hoops are 1 inch in diameter. — — The necklace has a lobster clasp which gives it a pricier look. One aspect I like is that it can be made to any length because the links are large and the lobster clasp can be put in any of the links. I can wear the necklace as a choker or one closer to the neckline of the top I am wearing as seen in the picture. — It comes in a beautiful velour box making it a terrific gift. — It's very easy to clean. I just wipe it with a soft cloth. I would definitely buy more Designs by...

I have this watch in rose gold, and I love it. The only downside is that it is a bit hard to set, but once you set it there's no problem. The glass has not scratched despite a number of mishaps, and I love that the white ceramic in the band makes the watch casual enough to wear with a tee shirt and jeans. — —...

Lucky me.. I have TWO family members that sell this VERY PRICEY JUNK! I have been trying to boycot this stuff. I refuse to have a party. Everytime I see one of these ladies I feel as though I HAVE TO BUY something but this stuff is way way overpriced. I have seen most of the collection and it looks really cheesey. As far as I am concerned no woman of class would wear this. Just because it is expensive doesn't make it good. Please keep this in mind when purchasing any item. If you do not love it then don't buy it. Even if its your family pressuring you. What is up with that anyways? I am so sick of people holding these "parties" to basically pressure their "loved" ones into purchasing items they normally wouldn't buy! This is not making a real living for yourself it is taking advantage of people you should care about....

I have several watches but don't wear them often because they are either uncomfortable or they don't keep very good time. I was given the Movado - Folio Ladies Watch 0604518 as a gift and I absolutely love it! It keeps perfect time, the bracelet style of this watch allows it to sit comfortably on my wrist, and the elegant look really stands out.

This is my fifth Citizen Eco-Drive watch. I told myself that my titanium Perpetual Calendar would be my last. I actually said, "Self, this is the ultimate in watches. You don't need to look further." — And for a while, it worked.. — Then, on a boring Saturday afternoon, I started looking at Eco-Drive watches on eBay, and I came upon the Skyhawk A-T. What hooked me (besides its looks) was that it syncronizes with the atomic clock in Denver every night at 3AM (as I am in Kentucky, I have to put near a westerly facing window). If, for some reason, it doesn't sync, there is a manual mode. — It is the ultimate timepiece; it has analog and digital readouts, two alarms, time in 43 cities around the world, the digital display has a light, and its water resistant to 200 meters (although I would never dive with it; for that I have my Eco-Drive 300 meter dive watch). — One of the other guys in my department is a watchgeek-in-training. He liked mine so much that he bought...

By far, the most popular products in this line are the silver & wood collections, of which there are MANY styles to choose from! Wood jewelry has been up and coming in the fashion world for a while now; but generally speaking I've found that it's not as well made nor as exciting design-wise as wood jewelry by Verlu is - I think you can see what I mean in the pictures. The production considers itself a quality jewelry maker first and foremost; and being eco-friendly & fair trade just the way to properly do business - and has been doing so for well over twenty years now. Although this line is only a little more than a year old in the US. — — The picture shown in the details tab, is a pair of earrings from the "Gypsy" collection. They feature Rosewood with textured silver sheets on both sides of the slightly twisted shape, with teardrops of silver that freely dangle off the bottom. The other pair of earrings shown (from Kayumanis) has an ingenious designer's creation; the...

My mom purchased a diamond and sapphire bracelet for me for my wedding and it meant the world to me. Almost one month to the day I lost the bracelet because it BROKE and fell off my wrist without me knowing it. The company will not stand behind their merchandise if you don't have something to return to them. Well, if I had something to return, I would, but since it BROKE and fell off without me knowing it, I obviously don't. The company didn't offer any solution other than their "policies" do not allow them to do anything with this type of claim. Well, I promised them that I would stand behind my "policy" and let the world know that their merchandise is faulty and low quality. Do not buy from them!...

After buying bridesmaid gifts for my sister and cousin last month, I was fresh out of ideas for what to get them this month for their birthdays. I turned to my trusted standby, Uncommongoods.com, a site that has all sorts of interesting and unique presents that you can buy without worrying if the person already has one. I really liked the look of the Mindy and Grant Searcey May Birthstone Bar Necklace in the catalog and on the UncommonGoods web site, so I ordered one for my sister. — This item is a long, thin, rectangular pendant that has four words (spirit, body, growth, mind) stamped on the sides. There also is a small emerald attached to the top of the pendant to accentuate the fact that this necklace is designed for a particular birth month. The sterling silver chain, though thin and delicate-looking, feels sturdier than the silver Tiffany chains that hold the various pendants that my husband has bought me over the years. Obviously, the...

The colors are so brilliant and they shift from one color to another when moved. Chameleon like, as she says, the colors seem to match any surface they are touching. — Susan's fused jewelry is created by firing many thin layers of the finest dichroic and art glass together in a kiln.
I have had a few different sports watches over the years, and this is by far the best I have ever tried. It is small enough to fit my wrist well, but the display is very clear and easy to read. It took me less than 10 minutes to read the instructions and learn how to use this watch...very user-friendly. My favorite feature is the lap counter, which counts and stores up to 50 laps. This is a valuable tool that lets me statistically determine where my weak points are over the course of several runs. — The strap is made of either pink or blue resin, so it fits my wrist well without rubbing or causing burns like some nylon straps tend to do. It is water resistant up to 100m, so it is also great when swimming. I have worn it in the pool countless times and have had no problems. In addition, it had three separate alarms, which I occasionally need to get up in the mornings! Other features include an Indiglo light for late...
