scarywoodwitch says "Inexpensive, Edgy Winter Hats For Teens!" about Dollar Tree Striped Winter Hats

I frequent the Dollar tree. Its close to my house in my neighborhood and my young teen little guy, my son, and I go on walks there often for exercise and just something to do! We found a multitude of winter hats in there the last time we visited. He is sort of an edgy skater slash hip hop kid as far as fashion goes and normally would never be caught dead in anything from a dollar store, but he's not as picky as some kids and gets mom's good fashion sense. We purchased two hats, one in olive green/black thick stripes as well as a red winter hat with red/black thick stripes. They are the same hat. I have not seen hats this edgy and cool at Target or Walmart, my regular spots for winter accessories, so if you have a Dollar Tree in your area, definitely peruse the hats and mittens as well as scarfs. We were able to find more than one and that's just because I thought I was being wasteful and going overboard! Don't wait until they are gone. Hats are super expensive the last...
...

GrandmawsOpinion says "You Can't Resist a Resistol" about Resistol High Point Cattleman

The cowboy hat is an iconic symbol worn by many cowboys and girls. It has come to represent hard working, hard riding men and women who work in both the cattle and horse industry, and recently in fashion and movie industry.

Resistol High Point Cattleman,Silver-belly Beaver xxx is the hat I choose to wear because of it's durable reputation and high quality craftsmanship. Its self conforming sweat band contours quickly to individualize your hat to the shape of your head for a perfect "stay put while riding" grip.

I worked a Kansas cattle ranch every summer from 2000-2006; I never left without my Resistol High Point Cattleman. I can't tell you how many times I'd left my stampede strap back at the bunk house and relied only on the sweat band to keep my hat on. My Resistol High Point Cattleman is now ten years old, still looks good and fits well!

Resistol High Point Cattleman also comes in the traditional black, which happens to be my husband's and most of...
...

Yardboy says "Sears/Dockers' Winter Trooper's Hat is toasty warm over the ears" about Dockers' Winter Trooper's Hat

7-30% of body heat is lost thru your head... wear a hat in Winter. Look like Dudley Doright, Nanook of the North, or a warm Buddah wearing this Sears/Dockers' Winter Trooper's Hat and staying healthy. Long ago, I had one of these in rabbit fur, but Sears sells this Dockers' version as 78% acrylic/22% polyester and no animals died. The faux fur is greyish-tan and the sides snap down over your ears.

On 30 NOV 08, this $30 hat was on sale for $18 at Sears. Open a Sears charge account [5 minutes, on the spot] and they'll credit your account $15. That's right, $3 to beat Winter.
...

CyndiA says "The kid's looking cool but feeling warm in his UNC toboggan." about Nike toboggan hat - college licensed product - UNC

Guess what? It's cold walking all over a college campus like UNC. I knew this. My son is used to a small town where you park at the door everywhere and dash in. Now that the temperature has dropped, he has decided some warmer clothes are in order even though he absoluely hates to shop.

One of the best purchases was a Nike toboggan. Now, I know that's a sled up north. Here, in the South, that's what we call pull on caps for the winter. I'm not sure what they're called other places. And, the tag did not give any real clue as to what they want to call these cold weather hats.

The toboggan is one size fits all. The kid has a pretty big head, so I think it would work for most anyone.

This hat is reversable. One side is fleece and the other a sweater type knit. My son likes the fleece inside next to his head but will wear the toboggan either way. I'd go fleece inside as well since knit makes my hair have a lot of static (which it does in any case - just worse with sweater materials rubbing against...
...

jps246 says "The Windpro Peruvian Hat protects my head and ears from the wind" about Outdoor Research WindPro Peruvian Hat

The Peruvian Hat from Outdoor Research is a great way to keep your head and your ears warm. It's made from the Windstopper fleece fabric, which is a fleece fabric that blocks the wind, but allows moisture from yours sweat to escape while you are wearing the hat, which keeps your head warm, but dry.

Like all fleece, this fabric is comfortable to wear against your head and provides fairly complete wind protection for your head, while still remaining breathable enough that you won't sweat like crazy while you are wearing the hat. You still will sweat, especially the more you exert yourself, but the hat lets that moisture escape while still blocking the wind.

The Windstopper fabric of the hat works well. Unlike some other windproof fleece hats that fit closely to your head, the Peruvian Hat isn't quite as clammy or tight fitting. The hat is tailored so that it is slightly fitted - and is trimmed out with lycra so that it pulls up slightly against your head for a snug fit. The two full size...
...
The Genesis of the Indiana Jones Hat:

When George Lucas first created the character originally known as "Indiana Smith," he already had decided to set the globe-trotting archaeologist/adventurer's serial-styled stories in the mid- to late 1930s, a time when Indy could search for religiously-significant (and supernaturally-endowed) artifacts while facing off against the nefarious Nazis and other possible (and plausible) adversaries without having to create a totally fictitious Movie Villains' Guild a la James Bond's SPECTRE.

Of course, grounding Indy's adventures in a realistic setting meant that Deborah Nadoolman, costume designer for Raiders of the Lost Ark, executive producer Lucas, and director Steven Spielberg had to take their inspiration for Indy's "look" from fashions of the period as well as similarly-themed films such as The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Secrets of the Incas.

Those movies, which featured such "tough guys" as Humphrey Bogart and Charlton Heston in roles similar......

Harley-Davidson Men's Motorcycle Gauntlets

Certainly getting a new motorcycle got me in touch with my inner shopper. I have since been busy doing more shopping than I have in years.

Typical of my new purchases have been jackets, boots, and a helmet, all protective gear for riding that everybody ought to consider. Stones, debris, and even bumblebees sometimes smack into you as you rocket along the highway. If you're covered, no problem. If not? It can be messy or even dangerous.

These gloves are from Harley-Davidson Motorclothes and they are available at Harley-Davidson dealer showrooms or on various websites. They are called Men's Stock Gauntlet Gloves and are made of premium goatskin leather with a high cuff that covers the cuffs of your motorcycle jacket, giving you a windcheating profile when you travel at high speed - no wind blowing up your cuffs. The exterior of each cuff has a full color Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo that goes with the rest of your riding gear, and of......
