GeorgeChabot says "Protective motorcycle jacket keeps you cooler in hot weather" about Harley-Davidson Brawler Switchback Jacket

Harley-Davidson Brawler Jacket with Switchback Technology — — I rode my Harley-Davidson with a group of four other Harleys towards Douglasville. It was a hot June afternoon and I was in my shirt sleeves. Suddenly, out of the blue, an out of control SUV crossed the Interstate on two wheels, dropped down, accelerated, and t-boned my Hog. Luckily for me, I was mercifully knocked out as the SUV turned its hungry maw away looking for another victim. The Harley behind me whacked me and and dragged me 80 more feet on my back across the hot concrete pavement. When I awoke several days later, I thought I was in heaven and going to meet God. — Remember I said I was in my shirt sleeves. At 90 degrees it is just uncomfortable to wear a coat but Harley has come up with a new line of motorclothes to protect against abrasions and impacts and also with mesh inserts to allow the wind to blow free. Yee haw! — — The Brawler is constructed out of nylon-cotton canvas...

jps246 says "Mountain Hardware's Epic Jacket really is epic!" about Mountain Hardware Epic Jacket

The Epic Jacket is a lightweight, waterproof, breathable jacket that provides protection from the rain in the summertime and can act as an outer, protective layer in the wintertime or whenever it's too cool for a shell alone. — The Epic Jacket is made by Mountain Hardware and is constructed from their "Ark Ripstop" fabric with their "Conduit SILK" coating. That's what makes it waterproof, yet breathable (comparable to Gore-Tex material). The fabric is rip-resistant and should be able to withstand some pretty heavy-duty use. I've worn it when bushwhacking and I've yet to poke a hole in it or tear it on the branches. The jacket itself only weights 13 ounces so it almost feels like you're not even wearing it when you have it on, which is another nice feature. — There's a bit of an athletic cut to the shell, with the bottom slightly more narrow than the shoulders. This makes the jacket fit more to your body and allows for more natural...

GeorgeChabot says "A great looking protective motorcycle jacket" about Harley-Davidson Legendary Eagle Leather Jacket

Harley-Davidson Men's Legendary Eagle Leather Jacket — — This is my first motorcycle jacket since I reentered the motorcycle madness phase of my life. I bought this Legendary Eagle leather jacket at the Harley-Davidson dealer where I bought my bike. — — I was impressed with the knowledge of the sales staff who helped me suit up and paid special attention to the fit. The lady pointed out several details that I would probably have missed and I felt the customer service was just fantastic. The jacket is 100% leather and is superbly detailed and strongly made. — — The leather is a middle weight, meaning it is not for bitterly cold weather, but will do in the moderate cold to fairly warm weather, that is about 9 months out of the year that is not extremely cold or extremely hot. Remember, when riding you are always experiencing wind chill so a person standing still may feel warm but at 55 MPH you are feeling a mite chilly, to say the least. ...

GeorgeChabot says "The coolest motorcycle jacket I've ever seen" about Harley-Davidson Harley-Davidson Men's Classic Cruiser Jacket

Harley-Davidson Men's Classic Cruiser Leather Jacket — — One thing that's fun about riding a motorcycle is you get to accessorize! Once I had my Softail Harley, I needed a new jacket, boots, gloves, and helmet, as protective gear, of course. — — I first bought a black leather jacket with an eagle on the back, just like the song, but I kept my eye out for one of these and sprang on it like a cat on a canary the moment I saw one in my size. — — This is the Classic Cruiser Jacket from the Harley-Davidson line of riding wear. These jackets do not come cheap, but you will not find a jacket made of nicer, more supple leather and with the level of workmanship that these Harley jackets have. Harley goes to the best manufacturers for their riding gear and this jacket is as nice as any leather you can buy anywhere. — — The jacket is made of midweight leather with a mandarin collar and zippered sleeves. It is pieced together out...

geomodel says "Going Ballistic over Columbia Titanium" about Columbia Titanium Ballistic Jacket

I'm tired of being cold. This winter seems to have lasted forever so far, you know what I mean? I'm lucky in that my S.O. makes sure I don't end up dug out of a snow drift in May by supplying me with plenty of warm clothes. My Columbia Titanium Ballistic jacket is part of that program: a nice, form-fitting fleece that can serve by itself or as part of a layered system. — The jacket's made of a windproof microfleece, with ballistic nylon twill on the shoulders to make it more water- and abrasion-resistant. The elbows have those same nylon patches, and also have extra fabric for full articulation. That increases range of motion for extreme sports fans. It has two large, zippered patch pockets on the front; plenty big enough to warm my hands, plus a third security pocket on the chest that's just right for a cell phone or wallet. It has nice, long pit zips for additional ventilation if I need to shed excess heat, and a stand-up collar to protect my neck and chin on windy...
