JovialCougar says "This moisture wicking T-shirt is good for the gym" about Starter Dri-Star Workout Tee Shirt

I'm hardly a gym rat, but I do manage to drag myself to the workout room a few times a week. One thing that helps at getting a decent workout is being comfortable when there. And I have found that the Starter Dri-Star Workout Tee Shirt makes for a comfortable shirt to wear when exercising. — The Starter Dri-Star Workout Tee Shirt is a blend of 65% cotton and 35% polyester. The advantage of having the blended materials is that the T-Shirt has moisture wicking properties that move sweat away from you body. These T Shirts do not have the scratchy, sweltering feeling you get from a shirt that is largely polyester. They breathe (at least somewhat) and are comfortable on the skin. — The Starter Dri-Star Workout Tee Shirt is short sleeved with a crew neck and there is no tag on the inside (the printing is imprinted on the neck). In my experience the shirts are put-together nicely with good stitching around the back, across the shoulders and the hem at the bottom on...

Let me first say that I'm not some die-hard "Green" person. I don't own a hybrid (too expensive). I don't grow my own food or make compost (too time consuming). I don't protest oil drilling (I like my car). But I do try to do the little, everyday things. We recycle. Every light-bulb in our house are the "twisty" bulbs and our Christmas lights are all LED. I try to buy produces that can be refilled/reused to reduce waste. I'm trying to set the right example for my two boys. That's why I always took back my plastic Wal-mart bags to be recycled. That is, until about two months ago, when the recycling box mysteriously disappeared. My house quickly began to fill with the bags and I cried Uncle...I bought the Green Bags, which, by the way, are actually black. — I was slightly skeptical, after all, canvas bags arn't cheap. But when I saw that they were only $1 each, I bought 10! Heck, at that...

jps246 says "The Windpro Peruvian Hat protects my head and ears from the wind" about Outdoor Research WindPro Peruvian Hat

The Peruvian Hat from Outdoor Research is a great way to keep your head and your ears warm. It's made from the Windstopper fleece fabric, which is a fleece fabric that blocks the wind, but allows moisture from yours sweat to escape while you are wearing the hat, which keeps your head warm, but dry. — Like all fleece, this fabric is comfortable to wear against your head and provides fairly complete wind protection for your head, while still remaining breathable enough that you won't sweat like crazy while you are wearing the hat. You still will sweat, especially the more you exert yourself, but the hat lets that moisture escape while still blocking the wind. — The Windstopper fabric of the hat works well. Unlike some other windproof fleece hats that fit closely to your head, the Peruvian Hat isn't quite as clammy or tight fitting. The hat is tailored so that it is slightly fitted - and is trimmed out with lycra so that it pulls up slightly against your head...

While I do most of my hiking in t-shirts, I found the Guatemalan Camp Shirt at EMS on sale and figured I'd give it a try. I haven't been disappointed with it and I'm glad I found it. — The shirt is made from wicking nylon and is treated to offer UV and stain protection. The fabric is wrinkle resistant and since it is a midweight fabric, there's some level of protection from abrasion damage. There's a mesh liner on the on the upper portion of the shirt to help draw sweat away from your body and get it to wick through the shirt more quickly. There's also a vent on the back of the shirt, which provides additional air flow and lets heat escape more quickly from the shirt. — I have noticed a few wrinkles, especially after my shirt has been stuffed in a pack, but overall the shirt has functioned as advertised. It hasn't ripped or been torn, even when I've subjected it to some abrasion and it does tend to feel dryer than a standard synthetic...

JovialCougar says "These shoes were made for walkin'" about New Balance - MW558 Walking Shoes

I've had pretty good luck with New Balance athletic shoes and decided to get another pair when my old walking shoes bit the dust. This time I purchased New Balance MW558 walking shoes in the mesh format (they also come in leather). I paid about $64 for these athletic walking shoes, which is on the lower end of the price range for New Balance products. — The New Balance MW558 walking shoes are designed for walking on pavement or level packed gravel trails. They are very lightweight (less than 13 ounces), well cushioned, and feature a leather upper. According to the manufacturer this New Balance shoes has ABZORB heel technology which is designed to absorb the impact of your heel on the ground. It does seem to work too, as I feel a cushioned impact while walking without being mushy. — The interior padding is also absorbent and comfortable. One reason I chose this shoe is that it is sold in a Wide Width format (4E) which I need due to a high arch. So is...

The Epic Jacket is a lightweight, waterproof, breathable jacket that provides protection from the rain in the summertime and can act as an outer, protective layer in the wintertime or whenever it's too cool for a shell alone. — The Epic Jacket is made by Mountain Hardware and is constructed from their "Ark Ripstop" fabric with their "Conduit SILK" coating. That's what makes it waterproof, yet breathable (comparable to Gore-Tex material). The fabric is rip-resistant and should be able to withstand some pretty heavy-duty use. I've worn it when bushwhacking and I've yet to poke a hole in it or tear it on the branches. The jacket itself only weights 13 ounces so it almost feels like you're not even wearing it when you have it on, which is another nice feature. — There's a bit of an athletic cut to the shell, with the bottom slightly more narrow than the shoulders. This makes the jacket fit more to your body and allows for more natural...

I began buying my husband boxer briefs several years ago. He wanted something that would come down on his legs a little to prevent chaffing, yet likes the tight feel of briefs. Boxer Briefs fit this description perfectly. He had worn both Hanes and Fruit of the Loom Cotton Boxer Briefs prior to my purchasing the Hanes ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs. — — So what makes ComfortSoft different? First off the cotton fabric is definitely softer than traditional whitey-tighty style underwear. At first we thought they would be too warm since the ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs are a thicker material and my husband tends to run warm anyway, but he has not problem with this. In addition to the softer feel, the waist band is covered in the soft cotton to avoid the elastic digging into sensitive skin. This is nice since he seems to have more and more belly beginning to hang over the waist band. — — ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs also...

Hello, I am going to tell you about Adidas. Adidas are a gym shoe/tennis shoe. They can be worn formally or informally. Meaning they are everyday ware. For just about any occasion. They look good with, shorts, skirts or a nice suite or even a nice polo shirt. They also never go out of style. I would encourage everyone to have a pair in their closet. If you don't your behind in time. I have quite a few. I love them, plus they extra comfortable. Feel like your walking on air. They can also make your feet look small also.

Harley-Davidson Liberate boots — — When you ride motorcycles, good safety gear is important to enjoy your riding and get the most out of your riding experience. I know it's unpleasant to think about the spills that sometimes go along with the thrills and chills of motorcycling, but a good pair of riding boots allow you to work your controls positively, and heaven forbid, provide protection in event of an incident. Good footwear is as important to your comfort and safety as your crash helmet. — — I bought these boots for my summer riding. They are something like jungle boots with the cloth uppers reinforced with hard leather so they breathe and don't make your feet sweat like solid leather boots. Like all Harley boots, they are expensive but the quality is worth it. — — The Liberate boot has shock absorber technology for comfort and once you lace up the fronts and get them feeling right, there is an inside zipper for quick donning and doffing...

I really needed some new hiking shoes but was having trouble finding something not too expensive. After doing some comparative shopping I finally came across the New Balance MT 570 Hiking Shoes, which have turned out to be exactly what I needed. — New Balance MT570 Hiking Shoes cost $69, which is a pretty reasonable price. They have New Balance's ''N-Fuse'' technology, which is soft-cushioning foam with firm foam in the midsole. This shoe offers excellent mid-foot support from the front of the heel to the toe area. — The upper portion of this hiking shoe is made of synthetic mesh materials. The shoes weigh just 13 ounces and have a good traction pattern on the sole for gripping the ground. My shoes have a brown/orange color pattern. At first I wasn't crazy about the color scheme but it has grown on me, and looks better than the black/yellow and black/red patterns available in this shoe. — I have hiked in the foothills near Denver, Colorado, where the trails are...

I miss the sneakers I sued to wear as a kid - red "tennies", with litte or no padding. Comfy, durable, reliable, with real rubber soles - not some vinyl composite. They were usally Keds. — Last week I went sneaker shopping. I didn't want sneakers that were nedorsed by some famous basketball player, or sneakers that I could hook up to my Ipod (they actually have those, you know), or sneakers that promised to make me jump higher than anyone else. I just wanted good pair of sneakers that fit, felt good, and looked good. I wound up buying a brand I'd never heard of - Ball Band. — As far as I can tell by looking online, Ball Band mainly makes men's dress shoes...sort of creepy dress shoes, if you want to know the truth. Shoes that looklike they're made of rawhide. Yikes! The Ball band sneakers I got, though, are beautiful. Red, textured leather low top basketball sneakers. Like the old Converse Chuck's, but a little fancier. Thick rubber soles, nice, cotton laces. A great...

I bought a pair of Nike trainers two months back and I have been very happy with my purchase. I bought Nike Air Turbulance, this brand was very popular and I could see why. Its not the shape of classics but a more sporty shape. It is different from other trainer on the market. I find them very comfortable to wear because of the padding. The trainers cost me £60 when i bought them, i would imagine that they have either risen in price or remained constant but i doubt whether they would go below £60.

— The Genesis of the Indiana Jones Hat: — — When George Lucas first created the character originally known as "Indiana Smith," he already had decided to set the globe-trotting archaeologist/adventurer's serial-styled stories in the mid- to late 1930s, a time when Indy could search for religiously-significant (and supernaturally-endowed) artifacts while facing off against the nefarious Nazis and other possible (and plausible) adversaries without having to create a totally fictitious Movie Villains' Guild a la James Bond's SPECTRE. — — Of course, grounding Indy's adventures in a realistic setting meant that Deborah Nadoolman, costume designer for Raiders of the Lost Ark, executive producer Lucas, and director Steven Spielberg had to take their inspiration for Indy's "look" from fashions of the period as well as similarly-themed films such as The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Secrets of the Incas. — — Those movies, which featured such...
