GigiandAdonai says "I got a $116 bikini for only $16.78! I love this swimsuit!" about Lucky Brand Free Spirit (Spearmint) 2-piece sold separately

Alright I wasn't planning on purchasing a bikini and I don't think I would be reviewing it either but I just had to share what a bargain I got!

Friday night Memaw, Carla and I did our monthly Girls Night Out. We had dinner at Cracker Barrel and then we went to see All About Steve (review coming). Well, Memaw is going to the Gaitherfest at Myrtle Beach this weekend so she wanted to do some shopping for her trip. I was just browsing thru the many sales racks and came across some swimsuits. I'm not that confident when it comes to buying and/or wearing them because I never can seem to find one that really fits the way I want it to.

I saw several that I really liked but of course, I'm not wanting to try them on because that would mean modeling them for Memaw and Carla and that would ultimately embarrass me because as always, "I am the cute one." Carla found several that she thought would look nice on me and at some point we both found the separate coordinates that matched each other. ...
...

Rhyschenda says "Waited all summer to buy a suit, full price too high." about Islander One piece Islander Swimsuit

I bought 2 Islander Swimdresses. One full price of nearly $40 (beginning of June), the other (end-of-season discounted) about $20. I like the skirts on both. End of season discounting 2 weeks ago was misleading as the swimdresses hung on a rack marked $10-$16, but they rung up at $34!! I was told that was because they were swimdresses. C'mon, we're talking about a quarter of a yard of material, people. Anyway today they were double discounted. Much better. I'm a big lady & it's hard to find clothing that isn't t-shirts & sweats or swimsuits that make you look horrible. These were kinda cute....

After looking at Nordstroms, Lord and Taylor, JC Penny, Von Maur for trendy, well fitting and somewhat reasonably priced tank-kini's I had almost given up when I walked through Sears. Not expecting to find anything that I hadn't already scene elsewhere which I was stunned to find a huge department of great swimwear!

Because I am bigger on top and smaller on the bottom I really did not fit well in the two piece "sets" that I had previously found. Although Sears does carry some very adorable two piece sets they also have a great collection of separates. I found the Lands End choices to be absolutely the perfect solution to my quests for both trendy and well fitting.

The quality of the bathing suits that Lands End offers are also great. They are not thin as to wear you are afraid if when wet they become transparent. Believe me, that happened once and I literally had to get out of the pool with my towel wrapped around me! Another area where manufacturers skim on quality is the...
...

Vallone says "Why can't I find a simple swimsuit anymore?" about Xhilaration Bathing Suits

I don't think "simplicity" exists anymore! I am fortunate to live in the great town of Tucson, AZ. I get to swim year round which is very important for my because I am in a wheelchair and it's the only way to get full range movement with my body. Because I swim everyday, I go through many swimsuits every year! I prefer to wear bikinis because they are more comfortable and less restricting with all the movements I make in the water! I also am a bit big up top if you know what I mean! The problem for me today is to find a bikini top that isn't a haulter design. This design pushes things together more so and tugs at the back of my neck. I put my new haulter top on and went to the pool as I do everyday. The first guy I saw said that he really liked my bikini top! So without even breaking in the new suit I went inside and through it out so not to draw attention to my endowments! I then headed to the mall and hit many stores. I could not find one bikini that...
...

jpoo44 says "What a flippin suite suit!" about Old Navy purple swimsuit top

I purchased an Old Navy purple swim suit top about two weeks ago. It is plum purple and fits across the chest and has a bunchy tie thing in the middle that is attached to a string that loops around your neck. On that string are two gold accents and what an accent they are indeed. Now I am a pool rat, meaning that I attend our public swimming pool nearly daily, and this swimming suit top is wonderful! If you don't want tan-lines, all you have to do is remove the string from around your neck and VIOLA! You're all set. The only drawback I really see is that when you dive in from the diving board, the swim suit does fall off, but that's to be expected from the type of suit top that it is. It is very comfortable and fits well and is very complimentary to any swim suit bottom. Ten thumbs up!...

I like the style of the tops, but the elastic in them isn't very strong. I bought another top after I purchased the first one, and it has the same problem. When you have a customer that is a size 18 or above, the elastic needs to be tighter and stronger...i.e. the straps on the 2nd top I bought are super flimsy and I know that when I go down the water slide, my top is totally going to come off...also, the elastic around the "girth" isn't very strong....the first top I bought, the swimsuit rolls down and then the tag shows. I really like the styles tho. ...

booksaver says "not perfect for everyone, but darned close" about Lands' End Classic Tugless Tank

The people who designed and made this swimsuit know and like women's bodies. This is a great suit- classic, comfortable, and timeless. You chose the bra type and the leg cut for your body type. This suit forgives any extra pounds you may gain or (don't we all wish!!) lose. Any suit from Land's End is good, but this one piece keeps its shape, stays where you put it (top and bottom), keeps it color and shape for a long time, and lets you really swim without thinking about your coverage. Probably not for 16 year-old size 0 girls, but terrific for others.
...

I could not have survived this summer without my Ralph Lauren, Polo, tankini in Navy. I snagged this up from TJ Maxx at the onset of the season. I needed something flattering - I'd put on a little weight from last summer and did not want to wear my bare it all suit.

This suit is great not only for coverage purposes, but also for watersports. Great for group outings, such as boating or sports. Good support. Trendy and flattering on any figure.

I had this same suit five years ago - black with white piping. I would pay top dollar for this suit - it is worth it. But thankfully, it's available online or at discount brand-conscious stores. Matching rubber flip flops also are a hit.
...

NikiTaylor says "A Bathing Suit that Is Functional and Attractive." about Beach Cabana Woman One-Piece Bathing Suit

I am five nine and a half, but I am not a supermodel. Like most women, I have trouble finding the right bathing suit since I don't have a supermodel body. Unlike most women, I don't have a problem with the thighs or the butt but with the belly. So a one-piece works the best. I've had a black(slimming right?),one-piece black bathing suit that has served me well over the years. The brand is Beach Cabana Woman, and this woman has put it to the test. I've worn it on waterslides and lazy rivers in three different states. The bathing suit has held up well, and it is very good for an active woman who does not want anything fancy. The inside lining from the bra area to the underwear area has been durable. It hooks in the back so that can be annoying when it is wet. However, I have really enjoyed the suit and look forward to dunking it in more lazy rivers and hot tubs.
...

CyndiA says "If you really want to swim, try a Miracle Suit" about Miracle Suit Swimsuit

I have a feeling that men must design swimming suits for women. Most of them flat do not do anything other than somewhat cover the high and low spots.

I'm athletic and enjoy outdoor water sports, but I'm busty. Gasp. Apparently, there is a law somewhere that states that women with breasts are not allowed to wear swimwear. Most of the suits on the market certainly aren't designed for action.

I was thrilled when I discovered Miracle Suit. The swimming suits are well named. They are fabulous.

Miracle swimsuits are made of flexible but supportive materials. They are billed to make bathing beauties look 10 pounds lighter. I'd say that's about right. They do support (but still feel comfortable).

The reason I went with Miracle Suit is because they have DD cups. Try to find those in a swimsuit line. Next to impossible. Most big cup suits have skirts and high necks. Might as well wear regular clothes in the pool. But, not Miracle Suit. These look cute and like "normal" swimming suits. They have...
...
