LoveisJoy says "Worthington Cardigan: A Worthwhile Addition to My Wardrobe" about Worthington Long Sleeve Cardigan

Conventional wisdom says that a long sleeved cardigan sweater is a must-have basic in a woman's closet. For me, it's more than a basic since I own several. I love the look and comfort of layering a silky tee or crisp white shirt under a fitted cardigan. The Worthington Long-Sleeve Cardigan is available at JC Penney retail stores and jcp.com.

Available in Misses, Petites, Talls, and Plus sizes, this basic cardigan is constructed of a washable cotton/rayon/nylon blend. I personally found the sweater to be a bit thin, but it has nice shaping and the Tall version has sleeves that are actually long enough for me. The cardigan has buttons down the front and is accented by two small pockets . The fit is fine, although I would have preferred that the first button be placed a little higher. The V of the cardigan seemed to gap in the front somewhat. Nothing terrible, but it just makes it shy of a perfect fit in my opinion.

The Worthington Long-Sleeved Cardigan from J.C. Penney is an affordable woman's...
...

LoveisJoy says "This Sweater Sheds More Than My Cat!" about Eddie Bauer Waffle Henley Sweater

I tend to purchase casual tops and sweaters from Eddie Bauer because many of their ladies sweaters and casual tops are available in Tall sizes. So when I saw the Eddie Bauer Waffle Henley Sweater on sale for a fraction of it's original $49.50 price, I bought a couple of them.

This 3-button woman's sweater is available in three colors: Heather Red, Heather Ash, and Light Blue Heather. I bought the red and ash grey ones and was pleased with the looks of them when they arrived. The sweater has a classic fit -- not too loose and not too form-fitting. The relaxed drape of the sweater gives it a flattering shape that skims over the body. The knit is a lightweight weave that gives a nice visual texture and warmth without bulk. The yarns are made of a cotton/nylon/angora blend that provide a luxurious feel. Unfortunately, it also provides a shedding problem.

When I first put on my red sweater I was pleased with the look and feel of it, but I soon noticed that I was leaving bits of red yarn everywhere....
...

PattyTherre says "A warm, trendy cropped sweater that can be dressed up or down." about Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors' Cropped Flyaway Cardigan - Charcoal Heather

Quick View: Cropped and super long sweaters are back and cardigans are all the rage. I am always cold, especially in restaurants and offices but hate traditional sweaters. Enter the Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors' Cropped Flyaway Cardigan# Cropped Long-Sleeve Cardigan Sweater. This sweater can be dressed up or down and looks adorable. Best of all, it's super warm.

My Take on Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors' Cropped Flyaway Cardigan

I have the Heather Charcoal color but also the cream and black colors. I may even have the navy. I loved the Heather so much that I snagged all the colors I could.

This sweater runs in Junior's sizes so size up one from your usual women's size. I bought a size Large in the sweater and it's perfect. I am usually a Medium and even a Small now and then in women's sized clothing,

The sweater is made from 55% ramie and 45% cotton and can be machine washed and laid flat to dry or dried on low heat. It has a one button closure and a unique shawl neckline. The sweater is ribbed...
...

CyndiA says "Alfred Dunner textured sweaters electrify me in a bad way. " about Alfred Dunner Textured Sweaters

Generally I associate Alfred Dunner products with older women. That's not to be rude, but I just know the Alfred Dunner line comes in sets and that I usually see them on women neatly dressed and matched. Since the quality is good, and the Alred Dunner line is easy care, I do pick up separates from time to time.

Last fall I got a beige and black textured sweater. It's just like the photo but not that (hum) plum or some such color. I didn't want to make a statement like grape. I just wanted a couple of easy-care neutral sweaters to go with Carolina Fit slacks which I love and perhaps with a jacket on cooler days.

I've had some other Alfred Dunner separates before and found them to be good buys. The neutral sweaters seemed a safe and good bet. There are days when I roll out of bed and matching an outfit is quite a challenge. A beige and black textured sweater would be easy and go with a lot of things in my closet.

The Alfred Dunner sweaters turned out not to be a good plan. It may be my body,...
...

wildcatkatie says "Gap's Wintersoft V-neck is the warmest sweater I own." about Gap Wintersoft V-neck

The first layer: I have been a frequent Gap visitor for as long as I can remember. I've noticed throughout the years that Gap fashions can be hit or miss, and the company's sense of style can be unpredictable. I was very impressed by the Wintersoft V-neck sweaters that I received for Christmas this year.

The second layer: Gap's Wintersoft V-neck sweater is made of materials I never would have predicted. It is 45% acrylic, 37% polyester, 15% wool and 3% Lycra Spandex. It's not as soft or as warm as a cashmere sweater, but it is undoubtedly one of the warmest sweaters I own. There is no need to layer t-shirts or other tops under the sweater. It will keep you comfortable on its own.

My favorite part about the Wintersoft V-neck sweater is it's design. I like the lower V-neck cut; it is the perfect length. The neckline is asual and covering enough to be worn to the office but sexy enough that I can also wear it out on a date, too. I prefer longer sleeves and a longer overall length on the tops......

njchicaa says "Gap's Fall Turtleneck Sweater is a cheap, sad disappointment." about Gap 2008 Fall Turtleneck Sweater

I've been a loyal GAP customer for 15 years now. I am a fan of plain, simple, and durable clothing and have found that with their women's polo shirts, ribbed turtleneck sweaters, t-shirts, khakis, and jeans. When the company failed to include ribbed turtlenecks in their winter line last year, I stocked up on their plain turtlenecks in every available color. I'm unimaginative like that. The GAP Turtlenecks held up well for many months of very frequent use. When the new school year rolled around and they were looking faded, stained, etc, I decided to replace them with a bunch of GAP 2008 Turtleneck Sweaters. What a mistake!

When I first opened up the cardboard box (I ordered them online), I immediately was disappointed to see how thin they appeared. When I took them out of the plastic packaging, they looked better suited to be lightweight summer sweaters, rather than those included in the late fall line. They also reminded me of something that you'd pay big bucks for from Banana...
...

GailCooke says "Wish I could have one in every color!" about Lands' End Cashmere Tee

While I have a tendency to steer away from 2 ply cashmere sweaters, this tee from Lands End is both an exception and exceptional. It's soft as a whisper, warm as a hug, and so rich that it approximates cashmere with a greater ply. There's little in my wardrobe that I wear with more frequency or greater enjoyment.

Versatility is the key here - this sweater gives a luxe appearance when paired with jeans or accessorized with a great necklace or scarf for an evening out. It's light enough in weight to be comfortably worn under a jacket or tucked in; sometimes on really frigid days I will pair it with wool slacks and a cashmere cardigan.

It's wonderful for travel as it easily rolls into a small space, and the look can be changed so easily. If this tee in Ivory and Black are in my suitcase I'm set for whatever.

Who can ignore the accessible price for such a luxurious garment? Thank you Lands End!

Find it in array of necessary colors at landsend.com or amazon.com.

     - Gail Cooke

...

PattyTherre says "The one sweater that flatters every woman. Sexy and slimming." about LaRedoute Ribbed Crossover Top

Quick View: This is one sweater that I firmly believe flatters every body shape. I have several colors and I love them all. The fit is sleek and slimming.
About LaRedoute Ribbed Crossover Top

This top is made from fine ribbed acrylic and has deep V-Neck but nothing too revealing. It is long sleeved and has a very cool looking pointed vest-like hem which I strongly believe makes everyone look slimmer and shapelier. This top comes in a load of colors from deep to white and yellow and, of course, they have purple, thus so do I. I also own black, brown, and a couple of other colors. This is my "go to" top when I just don't know what to wear and want to be sue I look good. I always do when I wear one of these tops. I always get complimented too. That never hurts an ego!

You can toss these in the washer and dryer and they come out looking perfect. They are warm but not hot and are good for fall, winter, and spring. I even wore one this summer when it got chilly out at night. At under $20.00, these...
...
