Crocs have single handedly created a stain upon the essence of footwear. They are horrific to look at, and what is worse - the people who wear them. I hate everything about them, their colors, the holes, the stupid strap on the back. I have tried them on before, and I do not see why people keep saying they are "UGLY BUT COMFORTABLE," they are not that comfortable, and you can find the same level of comfort in other shoes, that are not polluting the image of beauty on Earth. Crocs are always made fun of on popular television shows, one being Ugly Betty, where it was recently featured when Wilhelmeina Slater went crazy and started wearing these hideous ensembles, she was later slapped by her assistant Mark, which I think fit the crime of wearing Crocs in public. I don't understand why people have claimed that they were waterproof as well, due to the shoes having holes in them. I don't know, Crocs aren't just for me, and I hate everything to do with them.
...

jkoren says "Skechers Woman'sShape Ups Metabolize leaves much to be desired" about Skechers - Woman's Shape Ups Metabolize

Skechers Shapes Ups Metabolize are a new line of fitness sneakers created by Skechers. I was under the impression that they would assist me with my current work out routine. They are supposed to tone your muscles, promote healthy weight loss and make it easy to get in shape... unfortunately, none of these statements are true for me personally. Yes, you are walking on the balls of your feet more so than usual with sneakers but it seems no different to me than wearing a pair of heels?? More than that, i feel like i look so silly when i'm walking! The back heel is structured into a slope that prevents you from being able to lean on your heels. I've had them for about a month or so and still can't seem to walk comfortably that i don't feel embarrassed. Moving on to the appearance of the sneakers... Definitely not something you want to get as a fashion statement; they look like the shoes people used to wear when one leg was extremely shorter than the other. Oh, or like Frankenstein...
...

I'm reviewing the Mad Rock Flash Men's climbing shoes. i work at a rock gym and we sell theses shoes. this is what i tell our customers: these are good beginner shoes approaching intermediate. what they lack is more of a heel and a curve in the bridge of the shoe they also could use more of a point on the toe. these ones are lace ups which is what i perfer but the ones in our retail are velcro but climbing shoes are supposed to be tight and i feel like with laces that is more possible. they have a moderate heel which is good for some technique but they really could use more of a point. also these are a much prettier color than the orange ones we have in our store but personally i just hate orange and yellow. i painted my yellow sportiva's i got. these are also a good shoe for kids who are just starting with climbing and might be fiddling around with technique.these are good shoes for beginners but iw wouldn't recommmend these shoes for anyone who climbes more than 2 days a week.
...

I ordered two pairs of crocs online because I am a fan of the product! I cannot say enough about the shoes, they are great for both kids and adults. They are durable, convenient, and easily washed. My two year old is able to put them on himself which is always a bonus! I purchased the Mary Janes for myself because my feet are more narrow. They are great for outdoor gardening since they can be rinsed off.

I have encountered two problems when ordering the shoes directly from the Crocs web site. The first time, I ordered the shoes for my son to wear on a family camping trip. The web site states the product will ship within 10 days. That didn't happen and my son did not get his shoes before the trip. The second time I ordered the shoes for myself. After a month of waiting for the shoes to arrive, I contacted customer service to check on the status and was told that the shoes were out of stock and the order was cancelled! I didn't receive any notification!

Caprig says "I Don't Have To Wear My Mom's Shoes Anymore" about Born Shola ; for Women

I remember the first time that my mother brought me into the CLARKS store to shop for shoes with her. I used to resist curling my lip at the styles of shoes that I emphatically decided I would never buy no matter how old I got.

The shoes on that store always symbolized getting into old lady stage for some reason and I did not want to be part of that crowd. I am more of a dramatic dresser and love unique clothing- but somehow I could not picture my style meshing well with shoes like that which are more comfortable but not seriously stylish.

Then it happened. I was wearing my high heel boots through the mall one day and I suddenly could not walk. My feet hurt. My toes were cramped. Oh my gosh, I was miserable. My mother told me that I needed to stop wearing such high heel shoes and face the fact that I just had to wear something comfortable.

I had just about given up trying to wear high fashion clothing because I had to opt for some comfortable shoes that were not very attractive...
...

PattyLin says "A supportive shoe for the experienced ballerina" about Capezio - Glisse Pro

This was the second brand of pointe shoes I've tried. I switched to Capezio's Glisse Pro after 3 years of pointe training.

While it's a pretty good shoe, I have to admit I might not be staying with this brand once my current shoe dies. I just had a lot of trouble breaking it in.

1. The shoe has a pretty hard shank and when I first started wearing them, the strength of the shank overpowered my arch and would twist my foot off pointe.

2. I have a relatively wide foot, and this shoe tapers. Now that I've softened the box somewhat, it's more comfortable. However, for a long time, I toes would feel squished and my bunions would hurt.

3. Again with the hard shank: I've had to seriously bend the shank by hand to make it comfortable and easy to work with. But now that I have, it does feel better. However, if you know you don't have strong arches, this shoe will just be really difficult to work with.

In summary, this shoe wasn't a good fit for me, but pointe shoes are all unique, so if it works...
...

PattyLin says "Helps even the beginning ballerina feel confident." about Bloch - Balance European

Bloch's Balance European was my first pointe shoe and I stayed with this brand for 3 years until I decided to just try a different shoe (but I plan on going back to this shoe once my current one becomes too soft to use).

When I just started on pointe, the wide box and pre-arched shank really helped me get on the box and made my feet look very good on pointe.

Obviously pointe shoes are very dancer specific, but generally, if you prefer a softer shank, like a wider platform or just have wider feet, this shoe could be great for you.

The shoe broke in nicely for me -- not too painful. Even after they were broken in, they lasted for a while (but that also depends on how frequent and intese your pointe training is). Since the shank is on the softer side, I didn't find the need to forcefully bend it to "pre-soften" it before beginning to use it.

Overall, I just really love this shoe and "if the shoe fits, use it!"
...

I have been running for a long time and i have been in many different brands of shoes such as nike, puma, and many others, but i abosolutly love asics! they are always comfortable on my feet while im running. especially for long periods of time. they will last me for up to two seasons of cross country and for one season of track! thats a long time! and a lot of miles to piut on a pair of shoes. people are supposed to get new shoes every couple hundred miles that they run, but with asics there is no reason for it! i love the way that the road feels underneath my feet! these shoes are your ticket to losing weight and having a successful running career! i understand that many people have many different types of feet, but asics can provide shoes for all ages and all shapes and sizes. there are always many places to find and buy asics. typically online and in department stores is where these wonderful shoes can be found!
...

I have the black Crocs heels and as far as heels go, these are pretty good. They (the black at least) look very nice and people don't know they're Crocs unless you tell them. I've been complimented on my cute shoes several times (without people knowing they're Crocs).

I've worn them without socks or hose, so if you're not a hose-wearer, be aware that they'll start "squeaking" on some of your steps after you've had them on a while, or your feet start sweating. These can be worn with pants or skirts and have a classic, yet up-to-date, look about them.
...

This review is NOT for the "Freetime Women's Walking Shoes" but for a pair of SAS shoes I purchased almost 30 years ago for work and I'm still wearing the same ones today! I was/am a hairdresser and was on my feet more than the average person, especially standing in one spot so much of the time. (they are the slip-on type work shoe) I still have them and though I'm retired now, I wear them daily to do housework and when I do hair occasionally at home. They are in beautiful shape and I'm sure I will have them forever, they are just as sturdy as the day I purchased them, show no deterioration on the upper leather and very little on the soles. I'm heading over to SAS shoes this week to check out the walking shoes, when older and retired, one needs to walk more...thus my reasoning. Here's hoping I will find a good walking shoe and from what I've been reading, I think I will more than likely find one.
...

I bought the Sketchers Somethin' Else Wraparound Boot several years ago from Victoria's Secret. Seems like I paid $32 for them, but I can't quite remember. One reason why I bought them is because they were a nice, tall boot, but they had nice, fat , square heels on them and I wouldn't have to be teetering around on some heels as small as pencils. I don't mind wearing high heels, but I like a chunkier heel.

These boots come in brown and black, and I have the brown. These are mid calf boots, and I like that these can slip under jeans without looking bulky under them. Also, you can put jeans in these and they don't feel too tight. The upper part of the boot isn't binding at all, but they aren't flopping around while I walk from being too big either.

These have a 3 ½ inch stacked, chunky heel, as well as a zipper on the side. The boots have this wrap around leather strap that sort of looks like a belt going around it, and then it has a decorative buckle at the top. These have ample...
...

I've been wearing New Balance for several years now, and I've wanted a pair of the plain grey and white ones for what seems like forever now, but since I wear a size 5, it's really hard to find shoes period. Then, while wandering around at zappos.com, I discovered the New Balance W595 for women in my size, and I bought a pair for $64.

New Balance has these in their 'classics' line, which I guess is supposed to be a cross between retro stuff and just styling it for modern times. I'm not majorly stylish anyway, I mean, I own 10 Old Navy tshirts in different colors and that's about how interesting I am. Anyway, these come in two colors, the grey and white, and a grey and black. I got the grey and white, and the toe and side area are a sort of microfiber sort of material, they have a mesh upper toe, all done in grey. The laces, edge around the bottom, and around the trademark N is white.

About 5 months ago I started having problems with my feet. This was new to me and I did not really know what was going on. I found out that I have plantar faciitis. WHile I was suffering with the pain in my feet, I had to work. I had to walk on them all days every day, and could not find a pair of comfortable shoes to save my soul. While blogging I found out that Crocs was having a BOGO deal on their closeout shoes, and I had an extra 20 percent off too. I surfed the website and the only shoes my size were the Mary Janes. I ordered them along with three other pairs for my family. When they arrived I put them on, and I have not taken them off (except to sleep). On the cold days I just put a pair of socks on with them and call it good. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. When I wore them a couple of times, they wore a place on the side of my foot, but a little adjustment, and that stopped. I will definitely buy more of these, as well as recommend them to others,......

I love Skechers! They are by far my favorite shoes to wear. I wear them all day, every day. I love the Skechers Dragonfly style the best, too bad they discontinued them. Skechers are the only shoes I think are comfortable. I have one pair that is finally falling apart, but I've been wearing them for at least four years and finally last summer they started falling apart. Trust me though, I wore them like crazy and was rough on them and they lasted for years. I still have them because I wear them if I'm going to be doing something outside and getting dirty and don't want to mess up my nice and newer Skechers. I am addicted to their shoes. They are so comfortable, but for people that care more about style, they are also really cute shoes too. You cannot go wrong with the Skechers brand! My friends also buy Skechers and love them too! Anytime I am out shopping I always have to look to see if the store has Skechers.
...

I bought these Nikes last year at JC Penny's, they cost me around $80.00. I wore them a few times and made the mistake of going 4wheeling with them on, they got caked in mud and now they are stained permanently! I cannot get the dingyness off of them and make them as nice as I bought them. They are very comfortable and I love the colors. They have not ripped or the sole has not come off, I have not had one problem with the shoes performance except when I wear them outside in the wet grass, the wet comes through the top of the shoe a bit and makes my socks damp. The bottoms are fairly flexible and when I run and walk they are kinda bouncy so It makes it a lot easier on my feet. They come in a few different colors which I love variety!! Mine are a blueish gray color and I've seen them in Pink and Silver. They aren't bulky or hard to get on, they are just right for my feet which I consider regular feet. lol. The only thing I hate is that I messed up and wore them in the mud and now I wear...
...

PattyTherre says "Closest thing to real Uggs I have found and under $25.00!" about Xhilaration - Electra Suede Boots

Quick View: I have two pairs of "real" Uggs and love them. I wanted at least one more pair this year but my budget's tight. I couldn't justify spending so much on more boots. I tried lots of different "Ugg-alikes" but they all fell way short of the real thing. However, Xhilaration - Electra Suede Boots are VERY similar to Uggs in many ways. They are closest thing to the real thing I have found and I only paid $22.00 for mine on sale at Target.

My Take on Xhilaration - Electra Suede Boots

Thse 8" shaft suede boots look very, very similar to Uggs. They come in Gray, Chestnut, Sand, Brown, and Black that I saw. Online, they are selling out and only have Chestnut and Gray left at Target.com. I bought the gray pair at first. They were on sale for $22.00 and it was an impulse purchase.

However, I soon realized that these boots were super warm and super comfortable. Uggs has sheepskin lining whereas these boots have faux fur. Otherwise, it's almost impossible to tell these apart from real Uggs....
...

ApriBambino says "Steve Madden LEGION suede boots are stylish and easy to wear." about Steve Madden - Steve Madden LEGION short suede boot

Steve Madden LEGION short suede boots

Back in September I was checking out footwear sites in the hunt for a cute pair of boots. Many had heels that were way to high for everyday wear or simply too flat to be really comfortable, others were just kind of ugly and/or clunky looking.

Finally I came across these Steve Madden gems and they were on sale 'to boot'. Regular price was $100.00, I scooped them up for around $60. and I'm glad I did.

The suede is soft but not floppy so it doesn't fall over thusly the boots keep their shape well. the ribbed sole isn't slippery, the heel is just the right height and easy to walk in at 2.75 inches so I don't feel like I'm toppling over. The shaft is about 10.5 inches tall and look good with just about anything you wear, they have a soft sock lining and fit really well. They're strendy & stylish, I can see myself wearing these for at least a few seasons as they have a classic look to them as well. So far I've worn them comfortably with jeans, leggings,...
...

nicki2442 says "I loved these pumps...until I actually wore them" about Michael Antonio - Keiko pumps

From the Shoedazzle website (where I ordered this shoe): Keiko is the answer to all of our navy blues in rich crinkle faux patent leather. The high-cut upper is appropriate for the office while the butterfly cut-outs and peep toe make Keiko right for cocktail hour, as well. She is the perfect cross between fierce and feminine with pretty details atop a sleek stiletto and platform. Keiko is a no-brainer with a navy suit, but be daring in an outfit with varying tones of blue and teal for a rich ensemble that shows off the confidence of a peacock's plumes. After work, easy does it with a pair of dark jeans for a leggy look or with colorful tights and a bohemian floral dress for off-beat chic.

- Approx. heel height: 3.5"
- Hidden platform: 0.5"
- Fit: True-to-size
- Man-made upper/synthetic lining/synthetic sole.
- By Michael Antonio; imported.

I loved these pumps...1. because they are navy and I have never been able to find a cute pump in this color yet...2. because they have cute, little,...
...
