These are the only hairties i buy. they work for all kinds of hair. My 2 girls love them also. they dont pull their hair when you take them out. They come in all sorts of colors. they hold there form and don't get stretched out. also they don't slip out of your hair in the middle of a run. the elasticitie in them is great they stretch pretty far. they are so mild on your hair i let my 8 year old do my hair when we play dress...

This hair clip has been a miracle! I work in a nursing home and HAVE to wear my hair up. I only use clips because of how my hair lies....it looks terrible in a ponytail.... — — Anyhow, up until today I have been using a super long huge clip to keep it up, and that doesn't even work!! I have to put it up again and again throughout my day. Well, my mother in law got this for me and I wore it today and... PERFECT!! My very fine mid-back length hair never slipped out, never got loose, and was extrememly comfortable in this clip!! I will never buy another brand.....AMAZING! —...

MellaView says "Designer Dud" about COACH Hamptons Signature Dot Ponytail Scarf

I had been eyeballing the COACH Hampton's Signature Ponytail Scarf for quite some time now. — It wasn't actually the name brand I was after (liar)...I just loved how it looked on my favorite reality star Lauren Conrad. — I had first seen it on her, then of course on the official Coach website. The ponytail holders looked gorgeous, and are made of 100% silk. I wanted one, but I just could not see myself dishing out close to $40.00 for a hair accessory. — I never thought I would dish out $40.00 on a hair tie anyway...however last night I found myself conveniently in a COACH outlet in our local mall. I didn't even bother to look at the price tag when I spotted the scarf. I knew it would hurt my feelings; besides, I already knew the poison. — I was excited, but at the same time a little disgusted that I just literately spent $40.00 + on a piece of silk fabric with Coach logos all over it. Status baby... it's all about status... yeah okay. Whatever. — The...

I have shoulder length, fine, straight hair that I occasionally like to wear in an updo. — I have problems though, with most jaw clips; they are too heavy in my hair and slide out too easily, and are uncomfortable to wear. — — I recently found a butterfly design jaw clip made my Scunci, called a No Slip Grip Fine Hair. — It works great! It holds my hair gently but firmly, and doesn't feel like it's going to fall out. It was very comfortable to wear also; light weight, and I forgot I was wearing it most of the time. —...

derian02 says "$52 for a defective clip and terrible customer service!" about Ficcare Innovation Clip - Mohawk Black w/Crystals

I have another innovation clip (plain gold), which holds my hip-length hair really well. Since it works so well, I figured I'd splurge and get another fancier one even though the frugal part of me cringes at spending $52 for one clip! At that price I expected superior quality and service. What I got was a defect (see pic of chipped paint) and crappy service. — — I email their customer service. I get a standard reply telling me they're sorry I did not like it and to send it back for a refund (at my expense). She completely ignores the defect issue. I reply that it's not that I didn't like it, rather that I want one that's not defective. No reply. — — I send another email, this time with a picture. Someone else (thank goodness this one had some customer service sense) replies with a decent response. She apologized for the substandard quality and said she'd send me a prepaid envelope to return it in. Unfortunately, they were out of stock and would be unable to...

i have been buying these for a while, but i think i'm going to look for something new. I find that these do tend to pull a bit of hair out for me as well. — They are also slightly off in size for the width of my ponytail: if I wrap it twice it's too loose and starts falling, but if I wrap it thrice it's way too tight. If you are very concerned about losing a few hairs when you take it out, be warned. also, if you have very thick hair like mine, the diameter(?) might give you some problems too. — also, they are incredibly delicious to cats, so keep them in a drawer or out of reach. —...

x2mom says "Great product, does not pull your hair out when you remove it" about Scunci Elastic Natrl 18ct

I have longish length, very thick hair. I love to pull my hair up into a ponytail, but hate losing a large clump when I remove my "ponytail holder". I have been using the Scunci elastic holders for several years now. I f you buy the 18 pack you have plenty of colors to choose from (you really don't have to put anything over it). Each one last a very long time, so it is very affordable. — —...

PattyTherre says "Thanks, dear, now where's my Easy Bake Oven?" about Conair Quick Gem Purple HJBC

Quick View: Oh, I love my husband. Really, I do. But what ON EARTH was he thinking when he bought me this for Christmas? I guess he saw something purple and something for hair and thought it was a grand idea. Uh, no. It's cute for kids but not for women in their 40's. Plus, it hurts taking those beads out! (Yes, I did try it!)About the Conair Quick Gem - Purple (HJBC) — This pretty purple gadget holds 24 faux gems in three colors and shapes. The idea is to add a gem or two or more to small strands of hair to add "bling" to your style. The gadget is simple to use. You turn on the thing and then pull a small stand of hair away from your head. You then focus the "shooter" or whatever it is on your hair and push the big button on the side. The gem clicks onto your hair and stays there by way of springs that clamp shut. I suppose, if you're a kid, it looks cute. I looked like I had a crumb or something in my hair. — When it came time to remove the gems, that is when the pain...

PattyTherre says "Cheap but either slide out or pop open. Not good for my hair." about Scunci Hair Barrettes, 3 Ct

Quick View: Scunci Hair Barrettes, 3 Ct are cheap but they slide out of my hair and HURT! — Scunci Hair Barrettes and Me — I have impossibly long hair that doesn't like to DO anything. I have been buying barrettes and clips as well as elastics to keep it off my face in the heat and give it a little bit of style. I was never a fan of barrettes and now I remember why. These are large, which I need for my thick my hair, and have that weird push in and clip mechanism that I never got the hang of. They aren't really hard to use but I am a hair accessories klutz. When I use them, I will pull back the sides of my hair and clasp a barrette in the back. I can hear it clasp but it starts to slide out of my straight hair almost as soon as it is in. I think, because my hair is so sleek and straight, the barrettes have nothing to hold onto. There are just a few teeth and they dig into my head and hurt. I don't like the heavy feel or even the cheap look of these barrettes. They don't...

PattyTherre says "You can't take the pressure and you snap. I can't have that ..." about Scunci Elastic Natrl 18ct

Quick View: I have hair down below my bra strap (mid back) and it makes me crazy. I often pull it back but I don't want damage from metal or too tight bands. I use Scunci Elastic Natrl 18ct but am beginning to think some of my other more hair friendly products are better choices. — Full View — The Scunci Elastic Natrl 18ct is a card of 18 neuteral colored elastics. I bought them because they had no metal on them to snag my hair. They fit around my wrist (which is very small) and I often keep one on my wrist to quickly tie my hair back when it is in my way. The elastics are covered and don't break my hair and they hold tightly. They are not flashy so they can be worn with any clothing. My issue is that the elastics tend to stretch out after a few wearings. At first, they hold my hair firmly with just a couple of loops. Then I find myself wrapping them around my hair more and more. Finally, they just snap as I try to use them. This has happened to many of the ones I have and...

kristinafh says "A stylish approach to keeping your hair out of your face" about Model Co Tiara Soft Cotton Headband

After fiddling for years with various methods to pull my hair out of my face (mostly for extended facial moisturizing time), I decided to purchase this nifty cotton headband - Model Co Tiara Soft. Why do I like this? Aside from its stylish, hot-pink color, it's easy to put on and take off. For example, instead of one round, stretchy band (which you have to pull over your head), the Tiara Soft has two ends which come together and is held by velcro. This way, you don't have to worry about messing up your hair or getting various products on it. — Side note: I am notorious for doing this - I'll forget I have something on my face (like a mask) and I pull off a regular-old headband - bleck! The head band is really soft and made out of cotton. I've had mine for about a year, washed it at least a dozen times, and so far, it hasn't faded. — It's a good investment for just under $10. —...
