The chain is medium weight and pretty without a lot of bling except for its style. It is 1 1/2" thick and has three rows of circled interlocking chains. The end has a fringed metal "tail" that can be worn in the back or side. I wear it both ways depending on what I am wearing the belt with. It isn't even attractive. It looks messy and cheap and it way too wide for me.
