Aveda shampoo is wonderful for gray hair. I use the blue shampoo and it keeps my hair white and shines all the time. Sometimes white hair has a yellow cast to it and I really don't like that look. By using the Aveda Blue Mauve shampoo I always avoid the yellow cast. You only need to use a small amount and therefore, the cost is high, but it lasts for a long time. Aveda volumizing tonic is excellent. I have very thin gray hair and by using the volumizer, I have real body to my hair. I just spray it all over my wet hair, after my bath and then set my hair on curlers and let it air dry. Then when I brush it out, it really looks like I have more hair than I really do. They sell the Aveda products at the salon where I get my hair cut and permanents, so this way I can get a large bottle of each and then transfer to the smaller bottles I have. I would recommend this to anyone that is experiencing thin, gray hair.

i order from the avon book every week. there are so many wonderful things in this book. they have everyday products and even seasonal products. this is a one stop book for just about all your christmas gift giving needs. there's something for the kids, for your parents, the men in your life, all your relatives. there's also gift items for your childs teachers, or even your supervisors. they have a lot of jewlery to pick from, wheter it's costume jewlery, or real jewlery. the bath and body works section is amazing too. many great scents to choose from, from cucumber melon, to strawberry, its very intoxicating. the fashio is really to die for. they have so many beautiful purses, shoes, boots, and clothes. they also have beautiful clothing for little girls. the inspirational treasures are also a wonderful additive to the collection they have. the make up itself is awesome as well. i use different make up products from this book everyday. i really love the avon...

I acquired a bottle of Professional SilkWorks on a recent trip to Florida. I was complaining about my dry skin and my Mother gave me the bottle and said, "Try this." I did and I could immediately feel the difference. I don't know how the product works [that is what makes it mysterious]. I only know it does. After using it for about a week I read the container and was surprised to find that it is a hair product. The product's description states,

"SilkWorks was developed to meet the special needs of dry, damaged chemically abused hair. Concentrated silk amino acids, organic extracts and vitamin E impart a smooth and silky feel, high gloss shine without weighing down the hair.

Disney Magic Towels are washclothes that are packaged very tightly with plastic around them. After removing the outer plastic covering, just place the washcloth in water and watch it slowly open into a washcloth with a beautiful design.

We actually bought several of these for $1/each at the Dollar Tree. I thought they might be a good reward for good behavior, and my girls really enjoy pretty pictures on washcloths. I purchased:

High School Musical for the 7-year-old, who was not particularly impressed because the package had a picture with lots of kids but the washcloth did not.
Cinderella for the 5-year-old, who was disappointed because hers had two cut places in it.
Winnie the Pooh for the 23-month-old, who was thrilled and wanted to carry it everywhere for quite a while.

My Viewpoint:

It takes a lot for me to stick to a scent without getting tired of it within a month or two. I believe the last fragrance that had that effect on me was (and still is) "love spell" from Victoria's Secret. Then, I kept smelling this incredible lotion from all over the top floor of my house, and realized that it was whatever my roommate had been wearing every day. When I asked her what it was, she told me it was sensual amber. It happened that Bath and Body works was having a sale that day, so I bought myself a huge bottle, and I've been attached ever since. I love how this smells! My boyfriend loves it as well, and my dad -- who always complains that I smell too strongly or he hates the smell of whatever I'm wearing -- complimented me on it without me even asking how he liked it! I realize that a lot of people use this scent, so it's not that unique, but it's so worth it to buy. Every part of the collection!

I've used this applicator for a long while and decided that it's time I review it.

Frustrated by small shadow applicators, I hunted for a wider tip/head tool to apply a quick base of neutral color onto my lids before proceeding with other shades. When I found The Body Shop Smudger Brush I immediately loved the rounded oval shape and the wideness of this tool, however, this is by no means a brush, there are no bristles so don't think that's what you'll get if you order it from the Body Shop website.

The head measures about a half inch by a half inch in size, a good quality wide foam / sponge tipped applicator that lays down an even layer of shadow, blends it out nicely and does it quickly. It has a smooth velvety feel so it's really soft on the lids. Overall it measures approximately 5 inches long.

There are times when I just don't feel like getting fussy with eye makeup application and this helps to get shadow on in almost one swipe across lids, with a little...

I like doing my own manipedi's and like all women, I like having soft smooth feet, my husband appreciates it too.

I'm not big on using a foot file or pumice stone, I just don't like the feeling against my heels. I've been using Dr. Scholl's for Her Pumice Foot Scrub since March and I like the results.

It's not a really thick cream like many exfoliating scrubs are, it has more of a liquidy texture and just the right amount of "scrub" ingredients to do the job right. It contains Water, Pumice, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum,Sweet Almond Oil, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Jojoba Seed Extract, Urea, Peppermint Oil, Vitis Vinifera Extract, Shea Butter and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice.

BEWARE OF FREE TRIALS OFFERED ON THE INTERNET!! I clicked on a free teeth whitening offer while browsing the internet. It sounded legit; as seen on Good Morning America, Today show, Mom tells of how to get home whitening offer that is less than dentists, etc... I signed up for the "free" trial offer (only a small shipping charge). Received the stuff and immediately started getting more and more sent to me. I called my Credit Card to see what was going on and I was already charged like $79.00 for each shipment. I called the phone # on my credit card bill to find out that I only had 15 days to cancell or I would be charged every month for this stuff, there were already 2 charges on my card. I also had other charges on my card for a diet plan I never heard of and some magazine I never got. I had to cancel my credit card to keep other fradulent charges to my acct. What a rip off! Don't give your card # out over the internet-I should have known better!

This Dollar Tree zippered cloth bag is about the size of my hand and is lined with water resistant material on the inside. It has a strap for my wrist, and it has a cute, fun, and colorful design on the outside.

I believe this zippered bag is probably marketed toward carrying cosmetics, but I've used mine for a couple of years as a great bag for my digital camera. My camera did not come with a bag, and I've read that some people have problems with their cameras because their camera bag was too tight or that it didn't keep sand or water out. This bag has plenty of room for storing my Casio digital camera and a clean diaper. Always on the go, I've found this small bag to be a lifesaver.

The only negative thing I would say about the bag is that the wrist strap began to unravel just a bit, but I just cut off the loose strings and am hoping that there won't be more to follow. Otherwise, I would have given this bag 5 stars.

Sears Optical Pre-Moistened Lens Cloths come in a black box, with blue on the left side. There are 21 lens cloths in the box, for $3.99.

They come in a sleeve of 3 and just tear apart. Each lens cloth has a small cut so that you can pull the edge of the cover.

They are a 6 inch square and have a smell similar to alcohol. They are almost dry, but when you rub them across your glasses, they come crystal clear. I have $600 glasses and have to wear them all the time, so I just love these wipes.

They are great for vacations. You can just slip one in your purse and even if a sandstorm happens. It almost did yesterday, you can clear the sand away from your glasses. It also took the splatters from the sea, off of them too.

Sears say that these are an advanced formula, which makes cleaning fast and easy.

These are not suitable for contact lenses and should be kept out of the reach of children.

They contain isopropanol.

I thoroughly enjoy looking over the Avon catalog with its colorful pages and many choices offered from personal hygiene to home decorations. The makeup tips are also great, especially for those of us who live in such a hurry with little time to experiment with colors. I also love the section on women's apparel as it just seems to get better each year. I do wish, however, that there would be more selections available for children, e.g. toys, clothes, and especially so for older boys. It would also be great if ingredients for perfumes, makeup, etc. were made readily available as they are on the website which would allow ease of shopping for those of us who are allergy sufferers.

I gave up the search for a perfect eyelash curler ages ago but, that doesn't stop me from trying new ones all the time. My list (and basketfull) of lash curling implements is as long as a childs' Christmas list. I've spent lots of money on em with dissappointing results from most. I do like a few I own but after a while it seems they stop doing their good curling job or the replacement pad just won't stay put and you end up pulling out lashes instead of curling them OUCH!

Well, on one of my "I need a new lash curler" trips I see this TRIM brand hanging there, not very expensive at all, in fact it was downright cheap at under $3.00. Ok I say, maybe just one more, how bad could it be? trying to convince myself.

I'v been using it am very pleasantly surprised with the results. It has soft non-slip rubberized handles that open and close smoothly, not herkey-jerkey. The pad is rounded and soft enough to be gentle yet form a really nice sweeping curl, NOT an ugly...

It would seem that most cotton balls are created equal, but that is not the case when it comes to Swisspers Cotton Balls, Jumbo Plus.

There are 140 marshmallow-sized cotton balls in every jumbo bag. Unlike other generic cotton balls on the market, Swisspers are made from 100% pure natural cotton. I find them to be softer than the synthetic cheapie stuff I buy at the Dollar Store.

I use the jumbo plus-sized cotton balls for applying toners, removing eye makeup, moisturizing my cuticles, and removing fingernail polish. Although I've never had any problem with lint, I have noticed that some of the cotton balls "beard" a little because they are not tightly compressed. I'm not sure how to describe it better than that, but if you are a quilter and work with cotton batting, you probably know what I mean. But it's not a big deal because it doesn't impair the performance of the product.

When you open the package up you see a hard flower. The pink ones are shaped like roses and the white ones are shaped like carnations. You just drop the Evriholder Body Blossoming Soothing Spa Sponge in the water and the hard material collapses and becomes a smooth washcloth. The washcloth is so smooth that it's not that absorbent. If you try to use shower gel it will slide off and I find myself trying to scoop it up out of the water. The cloth tends to retain soap better.

My main problem is the way the Blossoming Spa Sponge is assembled. It's two pieces of fabric tied up like a bow but in a rose formation and it's all held together by a rope-like string that you hang it by. Well, after several uses the rope begins to work it's way thru the center of the fabric and you begin losing the design. I tried to reassemble it one time and it looked...

I recently discovered Soft Soap Ensembles hand soap and I have to say that I am hooked! I love the scents and I also really like how you buy the pump once and then you can switch out the pre-filled base with other designs/scents. I have always used Soft Soap Hand soaps in the past but I really like the new ensembles, they get your hands clean, they smell great and as the name implies they leave your hands soft too! The pump is a little on the pricey side but there are usually coupons out there for at least $1.00. The bases are relatively inexpensive and I have found coupons for them as well. Soft Soap has touted these as environmentally friendly because you can throw away away the used base (which are recycleable) and just put a new base on. The different designs are also really nice. There is a floral base, a base with an ivy look and a plain base so there really is a base for every household! I would recommend this products to friends and family and I have!
