kitchnefskym says "The best skin care ointment for cracked dry skin" about Johnson's Skin Crack Ointment

First of all, I would like to say that this product is the best product ever for anyone with dry, cracked, split, or bleeding hands from the dry or cold weather. Every single winter I get really bad cracks on my hands, in between my knuckles, on the tops of my fingers and just about everywhere. My hands crack open at the bend of my fingers during the winter. I have tried so many lotions, hand paraffin wax treatments, and so many other products for my hands. Nothing seemed to work for me. Everything burned my hands wether it had perfumes in it or not. I tried it all. One year on Christmas Eve my mother was watching me sit in the recliner chair with my hands on my lap almost in tears because my hands hurt so bad and they were so bloody. Mom went in and got my Christmas stocking out and said that she had a gift for me that she thought I needed to have early. I dreaded trying another product because of all the others that didnt work. I put the ointment on my hands and felt an immediate relief!!......

ApriBambino says "Sally Hansen Hand & Cuticle Creme smooths and softens hands" about Sally Hansen Fast-Absorbing Hand & Cuticle Creme

Sally Hansen Fast-Absorbing Hand & Cuticle Creme

I wash my hands a lot, they often get dry and feel sore. I needed a hand cream that would absorb quickly and not leave that sticky, greasy feeling.

Sally Hansen Fast-Absorbing Hand & Cuticle Creme fits the bill perfectly. The "advanced 3-in-1 salon formula" works to soften hands, smooth cuticles and helps strengthen nails with a formula containing keratin, collagen and peptides. It absorbs quickly, it's not sticky or greasy in texture and I don't feel like my hands are wearing gloves afterwards. It also has a light pleasent scent.

The products claim is that it absorbs fast, I can tell you it does, a small amount spreads easily over hands and before you know it, hands are moisturized and feeling silky smooth and comfortable; of course cuticles and nails look instantly better after use too.

The convenient 4.25 oz. tube is small enough to leave in my purse. I have one sitting on my kitchen counter at the sink so I can remember to apply...
...

njchicaa says "Oatifix smells lovely but otherwise it is a complete disaster." about LUSH Oatifix Fresh Face Mask

My favorite group of LUSH products is their Fresh Face Masks. They are made with whole fruits/veggies, yogurt, honey, mineral-rich clay, etc. and don't contain any preservaties. I really love them, despite their 3 week shelf-life, because they really do deliver fresh, rejuvenating, and nutritious ingredients to my tired skin. Unfortunately, LUSH Oatifix Fresh Face Mask is a loser and one that I'll never buy again.

Oatifix is supposed to be a cleansing and moisturizing face mask for sensitive and dry skin. It contains ingredients including finely ground oatmeal, fresh bananas, ground almonds, clay, talc, vanilla pod, vanilla absolute, and sandalwood oil. This mask smells super-yummy and reminds me of a dessert with bananas, whipped cream, and vanilla wafers.

Unfortunately, using this stuff is a nightmare. It is absurdly thick and is about as easy to spread across your face as chilled cooked oatmeal. Even after up to 15 minutes on skin, it doesn't dry which means that it...
...

njchicaa says "LUSH Santa's Rice Porridge is gross gross gross! Yuck!" about LUSH Santa's Rice Porridge Fresh Face Mask

While visiting a NYC LUSH shop recently, I picked up their 2 new fresh face masks, including Santa's Rice Porridge. The company describes it as a nourishing and reviving mask for tired and stressed skin. This limited-edition holiday mask contains ingredients like kaolin clay, fresh raisins, dried cranberries, glycerine, talc, ground almonds, cocoa butter, brandy, vetivert oil, and cedarwood oil.

Santa's Rice Porridge Fresh Face Mask is supposed to always be kept refrigerated. Problem is that this stuff is super-thick and glue-like when cold. The first time I used it was straight out of the fridge and it was a really unpleasant experience. It was basically like trying to smear a giant, cold glob of congealed oatmeal or grits across my face. I really wanted to give it a shot, though, so I persevered. Unfortunately, the whole experience was gross and really didn't do much other than annoy me and leave my face slightly hydrated. The second time I used it, I scooped a little...
...

this2shallpass19 says "Nivea Good-Bye Cellulite Gel-Cream didn't say good-bye to mine!" about Nivea Good-Bye Cellulite Gel-Cream

I don't know why I even bought this product. I think I was lured into the fact that I can buy an over-the-counter product that can lessen the appearance of cellulite - and it's under $15.00! I must have been dreaming.

Nivea Good-Bye Cellulite Gel-Cream is a blue gel that feels cool on your skin. You are supposed to apply it to problem areas like: stomach, buttocks and thighs once or twice daily. It is designed to "visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite" because it contains L-Carnitine which is known for converting fat into energy. Nivea claims this product will give you:

Noticeably firmer skin within 2 weeks

Visible reduction in the appearance of cellulite within 4 weeks

My Experience

I used this product as directed for about a month. The results? Nothing. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting the results of liposuction, but I didn't notice anything; not firmer skin or a reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The "gel-cream" takes forever to rub in completely. ...
...

njchicaa says "Avon Moisture Therapy Lip Moisturizer is a disappointment." about Avon Moisture Therapy Lip Moisturizer

It is well-known by my family and friends that I am addicted to lip balm. They like to take bets on how many tubes/pots of it are in my purse at any given time, but at the same time they are always giving me new and different products to try. I received my tube of Avon Moisture Therapy Lip Moisturizer from my mother during her last visit to my house.

This Lip Moisturizer is sold in a .5 fluid ounce tube. This is a hydrating product that contains ingredients including octinoxate, oxybenzone, rice bran oil, paraffin, orange roughy (a fish) oil, squalene, soybean oil, and lanolin. It also has an SPF of 15 which is always helpful when you are spending a lot of time outside during the summer.

This tube has a very tiny little opening which makes it a bit of a challenge to apply a decent layer of Avon Moisture Therapy to my mouth. It doesn't make much of a difference, though, because this stuff wears away almost immediately and the tube is simply too annoying to bother with reapplication. ...
...

From time to time, I am troubled by lack of sleep, but NO MORE. I have found something to take care of those times when I cannot fall asleep. While on Ebay looking for another item, I found the above item that I am reviewing about. One of the best kept little secrets is that for the most part, they work; not only in Sound Sleep, But Headache(which I'll review after this),Stress Relief, Optimism, among others. because I have problems with missing sleep, I decided to get the set promoting sound sleep. I ordered two of the Sound Sleep and Im going to tell you how it works. One night when I kept gettng interrupted by the phone, and it disturbed my sleep, fortunately, I was able to use the Sound Sleep on this occasion, and you know, in little time, I was gone to sleep. In my heart, I kind of wish Michael Jackson used this to help with his sleeplessness instead of all those drugs.

I am willing to pay for quality. And yet, Bare Minerals Makeup doesn't break the bank!

Over several years, I have searched for a makeup that actually covers my dark circles, doesn't look heavy on my skin, and doesn't cause me to break out. I have tried almost every Department Store makeup brand, many home business makeup companies, and finally Bare Minerals.

Bare Minerals is the first makeup that I am completely satisfied using everyday! It is light and yet covers dark circles and blemishes remarkably well! I have purchased my Bare Minerals from a Bare Minerals store in the mall and am so pleased with the customer service offered by the associates. They have been so helpful as I expand my eye color makeup. They take their time to allow you to try out new colors and give you honest opinions about what looks good with your skin color/type.

Bare Minerals is worth the slightly higher cost. I am willing to pay more for a superior product and I have found it in Bare Minerals!
...

I've been to four different laser centers in my quest for a smooth hairless body and I have to say that Prolase in Tarzana California is the best. The machines are the best at what they do and the nurses are friendly professional and skilled. The prices are average. The pricing was fantastic when they first opened but now have doubled. It's still the best place I've found. They do have specials for new clients. I just wish they would have discounts for long time loyal clients, there is so much more I want done but being jobless right now I have to budget. Another thing I like is not being harrassed by the company for business. They may send an occassional post card promotion but they do not call you unless you have an appointment and they do not run bogus contests just to get your information and bombard you with their business services like another laser center I checked out in West Hills. You can also just pay for one service though they offer discounts on packages.
...

TaraLee says "Add this oil to any other moisturizer or use alone, its great!" about J/A/S/O/N Vitamin E Oil

In my never ending quest for a natural moisturizer I decided to give J/A/S/O/N Vitamin E Oil a try. I few drops warmed in my hand and patted onto a moist face provides me lasting moisture for a full day. It absorbs very quickly and does not leave a greasy shine on my face.

I have sensitive skin, dry in some patches, oily in others so naturally I was a bit heistant to put oil on my face. I was afraid that I would end up breaking out. I am happy to say that my fears were unfounded. Instead I have radiant smooth skin after a week of regular use. You have to use on your face with care, a little too much and you will be oily, but if you can get exactly the correct amount, soft glowing skin will be yours.

In addition I have taken to putting this oil in other lotions and creams that I use on my skin elsewhere on my body. I put it in the body lotion, the foot cream the hand cream etc. for that extra boost. It has a light pleasant smell (like almond cookies), mixes well and is positively dreamy...
...

I had high hopes for this Natural Cooling Comfort Lip Balm for two reasons: 1) I try to use all-natural and organic products as often as possible and 2) I love things that produce a cooling and/or tingling sensation. This external lip analgesic seemed to fit the bill... until I actually used it. It spread easily across lips and did impart a bit of a cooling sensation, but I couldn't get past the fact that the product felt gritty on my mouth. Seriously, it felt like there were teeny tiny little bits of sand or other particulate evenly distributed throughout the balm. I even tried squishing up the tube in an attempt to mix everything up, but this Blistex Lip Balm still was gritty when it came out of...
...

This shaving cream is so luxurious. The ingredients are natural too, which I love. You only need a little bit. It makes your legs so soft and the cream itself smells great too. It is meant to be used with the Shave Savour product which you use after you shave, like and aftershave, but for ladies, what a great concept! I also use lotion once that dries. It really does make your legs stay nicer longer. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it is expensive, and tends to get kind of different smelling (but still usable) after a year, so I keep mine in the fridge. They reccomend using it with one of those little men's shaving brushes, but I just smooth it on and it seems to work fine. This product isn't generally availible in stores though, you have to get it online. I think some boutiques carry it too. It great for underarms as well. It helps prevent bumps. This product comes in many nice scents each with various skin helping benefits.
...

I had such high hopes for this mask. I'd been hearing for a long time how great the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator is for acne due to the natural sulfur in it. When this was released in stores it almost instantly sold out, so I paid a rediculous amount for it online in hopes that this would save my horrible acne filled face. The first time I used it I was very unimpressed, it didn't seem any different from any other face mask. It didn't help clean my pores, didn't leave my skin soft, or do anything to make my face look better. It only left my face feeling tight. When I first applied it on my damp face it felt very hot, almost like it was going to burn my face. It is kind of odd as it never dries like most masks, it stays shiny and wet looking the whole time. It was kind of a pain to wash off, it leaves little black specks on my face. The second and subsequence times I used it I broke out in whiteheads all over my face, even in places I never get pimples. The first time it happened I thought possibly...
...

laceync2004 says "Great makeup" about Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Complextion Makeup

I was bought this make up as a gift and loved it. My friend had used it for years but I had not tried it once i did I think it is great. Although it is a little pricey I think this makeup would be great for girls that are just starting to wear makeup but the women who have been using make up for years. I think they should have some better deals or come out with some couons for it but I really like it. I do hate that I have only found it at Ulta because until recently it was a 30 minute drive in crazy traffic to get there. They do have deals on the items around Christmas time and you can occasionally get the whole starter kit for around 45 dollars. Again not cheap but it is nice makeup it covers well and is so light. I was at my sisters one day and had forgot my makeup at home and she let me use hers and I felt like I had the stuff caked on my face it was so heavy and it was the whipped foundation which is supposed to be smoother and lighter but I did not find that to be true. The Bare Escentuals...
...

ApriBambino says "Yves Rocher Blue Cedar Energizing Body Wash Smells AWESOME!" about Yves Rocher Blue Cedar Energizing Body Wash

Yves Rocher Blue Cedar Energizing Body Wash

Several months back I ordered a boxful of Yves Rocher products, here's another review on one of their body washes.

I like trying new things, bath products is one of them, I gave this to my husband to try,(he actually likes the Yves rocher Mint body wash so I figured he might give this a go) well, he actually likes this one even more, he says it has a masculine scent and likes the way it lathers-up better. I didn't see any difference in the way it lathers compared to the Mint body wash but everyone is of a different opinion when it comes to these kinds of products.

First off, Blue Cedar Energizing Body Wash has a wonderful scent, deep blue cedar notes blended with cool water notes reminiscent of clean fresh mountain air, this is really a really richly scented product. YR says this is a suitable shower wash for both men and women but I think it's best suited for a man as the scent is masculine and even a bit sexy. The scent tends to linger...
...

LauraBelle says "Unique Packaging!" about Target Brand Anti-Aging Wipes

Now that I have completely fallen in love with using facial wipes to clean off makeup and wash my face at the end of the day or when I'm traveling, I decided to get more exact about the process and use a specific brand that would help me more than another. I was using more generic wipes before and have now decided to try anti-aging wipes for myself and acne wipes for my teenagers.

Again, when I can use Target Brand or generic, I will, as I find they usually work just as well, so if I can save money, why not? I picked up a package of the Target Brand Anti-Aging Wipes. They say on the package that they are comparable to the Anti-Aging Wipes from Olay. What really attracted me to this package, though was the unique dispensing method. Instead of having a hole covered up with a a replaceable flap to draw more wipes, it has a hard place flip-lid enclosure. It keeps them all fresh throughout the whole whole package!

As for the wipes themselves, they have a slight texture to them, just enough...
...

ApriBambino says "Dr. Scholl's Ultra Overnight Foot Cream is a Dream" about Dr. Scholl's, Dr. Scholl's for Her Ultra Overnight Foot Cream

Dr. Scholl's for Her Ultra Overnight Foot Cream

In conjunction with Dr. Scholl's, Dr. Scholl's for Her Pumice Foot Scrub and using this Overnight Foot Cream afterwards, you cannot go wrong. I've also written a review about the Pumice Foot Scrub, (check it out above) believe me, they make a perfect duo if you're in need of getting your feet back to soft, smooth and looking pretty.

This cream is rich in super moisturizing power containing the hydrating ingredients of Water, Petrolatum, Urea, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Aloe Gel, Stearic Acid, Urea, Glycol and Dimethicone. All aid in softening harder skin on heels and ultimately providing plenty of moisture to those annoying rough spots.

I generally apply this 2-3 times a week, using it at night simply to maintain skins softness. I concentrate on the drier areas giving my feet a good massage until product is absorbed. For best results, I wear a pair of socks to bed as it keeps the cream from rubbing off. By morning, my feet...
...

Susie-34668 says "Bodycology Brown Sugar Vanilla Body Mist is a little overpowerin" about Bodycology Brown Sugar Vanilla Body Mist

Bodycology Brown Sugar Vanilla is a slightly overpowering fragrance. It is not too bad in the anti-bacterial hand soap, but really gets up your nose with the hand & body lotion.

I tried the Body Mist, as it came with my set and as long as I only do a short spray in the air and allow a small amount to fall on me, it is not too bad. I would have much preferred the cucumber melon or the fresh water fragrances.

All the products in this line work great, it is just that the brown sugar vanilla gets up my nose, and then I have to take a shower, to remove the smell.

I have given my hand & body lotion to a friend who doesn't mind strong smells, but I much prefer delicate ones.

I recommend that you go into the store, and test a sample first before deciding, which fragrance you are going to purchase. I would be really disappointed if I had paid for this product.

To find out stores in our area go to www.bodycology.us
...
