I have tanned in salons for far too long and now I am trying to use lotions / sprays to get my tan. I have tried almost every one on the market including this. I was horrorified with the very first use. It did not go on even - as the so called tan was fading - it looked like my legs and feet were dirty. — Not reccommended at all! —...

Vallari says "worth it to save money" about No Ad sunblock suntan lotion

The No Ad sunblock lotion is just that ~ a non advertised brand of sunblock available at the Dollar Tree. The bottles are unappealing, the scent is boring and the uv blockers range from 15-50. There are children and adult versions and sunless tanning versions too(don't ever do this with out spending good $ ladies). With the high costs of everything these days I try to save where I can. I don't need to smell like a coconut, altho' I prefer it, and I don't want skin problems, so I use this lotion regularly thro' out the summer. You can't beat UVA/UVB protection for a...

I been using bareMinerals for 2 years now. BareMinerals was the first company to develop mineral makeup. Everybody is copying them now. I must say that I have tried other mineral makeup brands and nothing compares to bareMinerals. You pay more but there products are everything they advertise. The makeup goes on smooth and you don't even look like you are wearing any foundation. When I break out on my face and put my bareMineral foundation on , the next day it has cleared up. Whatever minerals they use it is very good for your skin. My problem with the other brands is they do not do that for your face and they don't go on as well. I will stick with bareMinerals and get an excellent product for the...

njchicaa says "THE best foot cream I've ever used. Period." about Skindecent Sole Relief Balm

I love to give myself home pedicures. After an obnoxious day at work I love to just enjoy a cold beverage or two as I soak, scrub, and moisturize my tired tootsies. I have tried pretty much every foot lotion, scrub, and cream that I've ever come across, so I like to think that I know a bit about pedicure products. My vote for THE BEST FOOT CREAM EVER goes to Skindecent Sole Relief Balm. — — This is an extremely concentrated and thick product that contains things like cocoa seed butter, soybean oil, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and peppermint and spearmint essential oils. It is sold only in 2 ounce jars which is inconvenient because I could go through at least one a month and this stuff is available only online through Skindecent.com. I would love it if they started selling a larger jar of Sole Relief. — — You only need a small amount of this thick, rich cream to completely cover and saturate feet. The label suggests using...

njchicaa says "Johnson's Foot Soap is an excellent foot soak!" about Johnson's Foot Soap

In my ongoing quest to try ever pedicure product on the face of the planet, I picked up an economy-sized box of Johnson's Foot Soap at the local Rite-Aid. The box looked kind or boring which is why I walked past this product dozens of times before finally purchasing it. After using it several times I'm kicking myself for not trying this foot soak sooner! — — This is a quick-dissolving powder that contains borax, iodide, bran, and baking soda to soften, soothe, and freshen feet as well as relieving itching, burning, and unpleasant odors. It is very easy to use Johnson's Foot Soap. You simply empty the packet into hot (but not scalding) water and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. That's all there is to it! — — I really reeeeeeeeeeeally like Johnson's Foot Soap. I usually just use epsom salt to soak my feet as it seemed to be both the most effective and cheapest product that I had found... that is, until I tried this stuff!...

I am trying out various self tanners in preparation for a summer wedding. — — I bought this particular L'Oreal self-tanner in the hope that it would be easier to apply, have less room for error (i.e. streaks), and smell better than the usual self-tanners. — — However, I've found that it still smells musty, and is difficult to apply. The spray nozzle is alright, but trying not to over-do it in hard to reach areas such as the middle of my back was tricky. I ended up having spots where the spray was applied too heavily. The one good thing about this product is that it dried pretty quickly. — — I think I'll stick to the lotions. Overall, I think they are easiest to apply and have less room for error. I'm still looking for one that smells nice! —...

njchicaa says "How I wanted to love this lip butter." about Boots Mediterranean Grape, Olive & Nectarine Moisturizing Lip Butter

As a complete and total lip balm addict, I was happy to find the Boots Moisturizing Lip Butters on the shelf at Target last weekend. Of the two flavors available, I selected the Mediterranean Grape, Olive, & Nectarine version because I preferred the scent. — This lip butter comes in a 0.5 fluid ounce jar which is very large for this type of product. It is a translucent lavender color and has a smooth but still semi-firm texture. To me, the scent is a light grape one with a hint of sweet tangerine. I do have to point out that I have had a cold for the past two weeks and it is prime allergy season here in NJ... Point being that my take on the Boots Mediterranean Grape, Olive, & Nectarine Moisturizing Lip Butter fragrance could be a bit off as I have been fairly congested for as long as I've used it. — What I like about this Boots Lip Butter is the fact that it has a smooth texture that spreads easily across my mouth. I like to apply a thick...

I go through bouts of insomnia. There are weeks where I do not sleep a wink, and for some reason I once again have been going through a period where sleep is very difficult to come by. It sucks! — When I don't sleep my body can still function, but my face takes quite the toll of it all. I get dark circles, my skin looks dull and sleepy, and actually feels stressed. — — When I came across a bunch of products by Montagne Jeunesse at my local KMart, I was drawn to the words that were written on the package: calming, and anti-stress. — The product was called Dead Sea Anti-stress Face Tonic with Dead Sea Minerals. — — The packaging was flashy, convincing, and I felt as if I needed it (a lot of products have that effect on me). — I read closer, and according to the package, this face tonic would whip up a skin miracle in only 5 minutes. I liked that, because most facial masques or treatments call for a half hour of time, or...

My fiance knows that I really enjoy the one or two nights each week that I give myself a home pedicure. When my birthday rolled around last week, I fully expected and received a basket of Bath & Body Works pedicure products. Most of them were things that I had already used before, but the True Blue Spa Footloose & Fancy Fizz Bubbly Foot Bath was something new for me. — This product consists of salt (sodium chloride), baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), epsom salts (magnesium sulfide), rose extract, orange peel extract, aloe leaf extract, lavender extract, and a few other things. It is a bright blue powder with white specks scattered throughout. The directions state that you should sprinkle a handful of Footloose & Fancy Fizz into a footbath. I do my feet in our bathtub, so I use something closer to 1/4 of a cup per soak. — This product turns the water a lovely shade of ocean blue, softens and sets my feet to tingling, and fills up the...

Running To The Embassy was the first LUSH body butter that I ever tried. I wasn't impressed with it last February when I tried it, so I really have no idea why I picked up another one. After using it again yesterday, my only consolation is that I picked it up for free during the LUSH Clean Slate promotion. — This body butter is supposed to be an exfoliating, refreshing, and moisturizing product that was designed specifically for use on your feet. The ingredients are simple: cocoa butter, pumice, shea butter, spearmint oil, peppermint oil, tagettes oil, chlorophyll, and perfume. Running To The Embassy is sold in 3.3 ounce blocks for $10.95. — The web site states that you can use this butter under water in the bath. I would advise against that because it is thin and melts away very quickly. The best way that I found to use it was to rub it onto dry feet, work the product into and across my feet, and then to rinse it all...

The Battery Operated Pedicure Kit by Spa Indulgence — What is it? — The Battery Operated Pedicure Kit by Spa Indulgence is just what it says it is. It is a home spa kit that will allow you to give yourself (or others) a pedicure in the privacy of your own home. The kit comes with a rotary action pedicure machine that runs on batteries. (I'm thinking don't do this in the tub!) The pedicure machine has 2 settings: high and low. The kit also comes with 3 professional-care buffers. The buffers snap on and off very easily. — The three different kind of buffers are: — 1. Super fine to shape nails — 2. Medium-grain to smooth rough skin — 3. Pumice-strength to rid your feet of callouses — My Viewpoint! — I think that the Pedicure Kit by Spa Indulgence is a great gift (My Mom bought it for me for Christmas) for those who like to have pedicures. I am a pedicure fanatic. My feet need to...

To the PointIn my Yoga class during relaxation our instructor puts a lavender eye mask over our eyes. I decided to buy Essence of Beauty Lavender Eye Mask. It's a nice product for the money. — A Closer View — Lavender is a wonderful smell unless you are allergic to it. I love the smell. Essence of Beauty if only sold at CVS. I paid $5.00 but it is on sale at www.cvs.com for $3.74. — One thing I love about it is the pouch in which it comes. It's a resealable pouch so my mask is protected when I'm not using it. — My eyes get tired after hours looking at this screen. It's wonderful to lie down and put the mask on my eyes. — — It comes in a pretty light lavender color and measures 8" across by 3" at its widest. It's shaped like a mask with a slight indentation at the nose area. — I've had it for about 6 months and it still has the pretty lavender scent. There are lavender seeds in it. I've seen some that are made of foam. I like this better...

I love to give myself a home pedicure each week. I'm always on my feet and running around which results in tired, dry, and cracked skin. The first step in my foot-pampering routine is a good soak in hot water. My favorite foot-soak product is Skindecent Tootsie Tinglers. — These little foot treats are small, pie-shaped green pieces. You are supposed to toss one into a small basin of warm water and let your feet soak for 10-15 minutes. Tootsie Tinglers contain cocoa butter to soften skin and peppermint and spearmint oils to invigorate tired feet. It also has baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to produce a lovely fizzing and bubbling action. — The first time I used this product, I used TWO pieces at once because I was using them in my bathtub rather than a small basin. I was afraid that one would be too diluted in that much water so I doubled my pleasure... which was entirely unnecessary. One Tootsie Tingler is more than enough...

Quick View: I am such a diva, I embarrass myself. However, this is a good little cloth, especially while in the tub after a facial mask of exfoliation.About Gal Pal Spa Face Cloth Pink — This washcloth sized fluffy cloth is made for steaming your face with a hot cloth like at a spa.
