I have historically not been a toner user. In fact, before I picked up this toner I had bought maybe one container of toner in the past several years. I started to use this toner as part of a new skin-care regimen and I have to say, I love it! I look forward to the part of my routine where I mist my face with this refreshing prouct. I love the smell- not too strong, just enough. I am a big fan of citrus smells. It makes my face feel very refreshed and energized, and I feel like it makes the moisturizer I use afterward much more effective. I also sometimes use this product throughout the day when my skin feels dry and tight- which happens frequently in the climate that I live in! I really love it, and I also love that all of the ingredients are natural and cruelty free, and the product comes from a company that I can believe in & know that they have high standards. I feel awesome when I use this product!

AVEDA has two wonderful facial toners in their Botanical Kinetics line. The Botanical Kinetics Skin Firming/Toning Agent (which is the one I use, developed for mature skin) and their Botanical Kinetics Toning Mist (for normal to oily skin). The gorgeous green bottle has a misting pump top and after you cleanse your face you simply spray it on your face (avoiding eyes) from 8 to 12 inches away and use your fingertips to spread the toner. If you don't enjoy the spray feature you can simply mist onto a cotton ball or square and swipe over your face. After the toner absorbs into your skin you can then liberally apply the Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion. Tone after each time you cleanse, morning and evening. They are available in a 1.7oz travel size which retails for $9.00 (I keep this size next to the bathroom sink since it takes up less space than the large size and just take it with me in my overnight bag when traveling). Again, I am recomending another product from Lush, I love their simply natural philosophy. No chemicals and it is better for you and the environment. The Vitamin E Toner Tab is supposed to balance your skin, with Omega-3 Oil, Vitamin E, and Lavender.

Instead of using the one-time steaming method of throwing the tab into a basin of hot water and a towel over your head as you expose your face to the stream, I break up the tab and put it in a spritzer bottle with water. I spray my face a two to five times a day and the Vitamin E Toner Tab makes my skin feel cleansed, and yes, I supposed you could say balanced. I love it. I was opposed to it at first because of the single use propasition and then I spoke to a friend who gave me the spritzer bottle suggestion. It works like a charm and my skin feels rejuvinated, refreshed and somehow completely different (balanced). Another benefit to using vitamin E is scar reducion...so disolve, spritz and E-njoy

My skin had been feeling a little sensitive so I took a break from my regular toner (Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner) because it contains both alcohol and alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids. Those ingredients are effective but they can cause the skin to become sensitive over prolonged use. I chose Boots Botanics Complexion Refining Toning Lotion because it is a natural formula, had an affordable price tag, and claimed to effectively remove excess oil without overdrying.

Boots Botanics Pros:

Amazonian clay (Kaolin) serves to clarify skin and suck up excess oil
Rosemary extract is a known antioxidant
Boots Botanics didn't leave my skin overly dry or sticky
Skin felt soft and ready for light moisturizing

Boots Botanics Cons:

Odd, sick-green color (I was afraid it would dry green on my skin, but it didn't)
Clumps of "mud" on my cotton pad if I don't shake completely

Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner is the second step of my daily skin care regimen. I wash with a basic gentle cleanser, and then follow with a swipe of Neutrogena toner. The included alpha- and beta-hydroxy ingredients have helped keep my oily skin clear and smooth. I love that it zaps excess oil and makeup without leaving my face with that "stripped" feeling that can happen with some toners.

Since I have been using Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner, my skin seems brighter and less dull. Luckily, I'm blessed with good genes so I can't give Neutrogena all of the credit, but it has mad a visible difference. However, it doesn't really live up to the claim that your pores will be minimized. You do get some temporary shrinkage, but nothing miraculous.

The only issue I have with the toner is that after prolonged use, my skin can start to feel a little sensitive. There are some ingredients in the formula that can contribute to skin sensitivity (SD Alcohol, AHA, and BHA). When I think...

Several years ago I started to use OLAY toner. It works well for me. I found it cleans face very well (you will see the results on the cotton ball). Also it add moisture to face. It is best to use it before puting moisturizer on your face.

I keep using it and find my skin became better than before. I like the price very much and told my friend about it. I found it popular as it often sold out in store. Now I buy 2 bottles at a time. I see other brand also has their toner coming out but with a more expensive price.

One thing to be careful is close the cap immediately after use. One time the bottle was open and I happened to make it fall down. Most liquid was out. Another thing to keep in mind is that it has achole in it, so it might kurt your skin a little bit. The sensitive skin person should be very careful about it.

Overall, it is a good product with affordable price. It is more popular now and easy sold out.

This is the PERFECT compliment to the Garden Tomato Complexion bar. It smells just as good, cleanses well and doesn't dry you out. Best of all, you get that awesome "toner tingle" without all the harsh chemicals-plus a beautiful "garden fresh" smell that literally sweeps me off my feet. A blue ribbon winner in my book!
***update***I have noticed after using this for a while, this toner DOES dry out if u put it anywhere NEAR your eyebrows...I must have gotten it too close to my eyebrows because there were dry patches IN them!! So be advised to keep this stuff FAR AWAY from your eyebrows. I still love the smell though :)

I actually came across Shiseido Eudermine when I got it as a gift from my mom in Japan. I didn't think it was available in the States but I do see it when I got to Shiseido store here. Anyways, since this lotion doesn't have its own line, you don't have a matching moisturizer to use after this one. I used whitening moisturizer from Japan (not available here in the States) and it worked great. This lotion makes you feel refreshed after washing your face with its light, smooth texture. It's not greasy and it doesn't dry up like some of the lotions do. I think this is a wonderful skin toner. The only thing is, like many other Shiseido line of cosmetic products, this lotion is little pricy. But I think you pay for what you get, so it's definately worth it.

Guam Seaweed Mud Body Wrap: I swear by this product! I have used it and my thighs are super smooth and have very little to no cellulite at all now!! it's perfect to make yourself feel that little bit more confident in your swimsuit on the beach.

I brought mine from www.shimmerfx.com who had an offer on, and also gave a really fast delivery which made a nice change as I order online quit alot and often get annoyed with the lengh of time it takes to deliver a item.

A first class product, with a first class service. would recommend to anyone who uses body wraps.

My dissatisfaction with Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner is partially my fault because I purchased it in haste without checking out its ingredients.

This is not an oil-free toner. For anyone with combination or even slightly oily skin, this is the wrong product to use. My skin is combination - that means oily on my forehead and nose. After only two uses of this toner, I started to break out, and my pores were not "refined" in the least. I didn't expect my pores to get minimized, however, I just use toners to help remove excess oil before going to sleep. This toner did the exact opposite.

Those with normal or dry skin might benefit from Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner, unfortunately I am not one of them.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 is part of my beauty regine. I have used it with Clinque soap and then followed by a moisturizer.

I wash my face first to make sure it is clean. Then I get a cotton ball and put it to the top of the bottle. I tip the bottle up and allow some to go on the cotton ball. I then go over my face and the neck area.

When I check the cotton ball afterwards, it normally has dirt and grime on it. It amazes me how much there is, and it must be in the air.

After using it I then apply a moisturizer. My face feels and looks good.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 works great with my skin. I don't have any dry or red patches on my face. I feel it is really gentle.

The 6.7 fluid ounce size runs $11.50, which is expensive compared to many other products. However, Clinique products are high quality and really do what they say.

I know beauty products can't always smell like roses, but I'm pretty sure Clean & Clear tried to make their astringent smell bad. Deep Cleaning Astringent for Sensitive Skin has a very strong medicinal smell that, coupled with the alcohol in the product, left my eyes watering. That's not the worst of it.

As far as clearing up my skin, I am not impressed. I have been using this product twice a day for nearly three months and all I have gotten is dry skin. I am not convinced that alcohol in toners and astringents is a beneficial thing whatsoever . I have always struggled with oily skin and forever I thought using drying products [like astringents and alcohols] would help me. I learned much later that the dryer my skin gets, the more oil it produces, so by three o'clock in the afternoon, I am having lovely "oily breakthroughs" and needing to powder my nose. Clean & Clear's astringent did not help me with this issue. In fact, it only made it worse.

Even though this toner is part of an overall at-home spa facial, I use it on its own in my normal regimen every day, because it's just great for making my skin look even and my pores small. Luckily my pores aren't too noticeable, except in a couple spots (like between my eyebrows on my forehead) and the toner helps get them to look consistent with the rest of my face! I used to use a different toner, from the time I was a teenager into my early twenties, and I found that once I wasn't breaking out all the time, just from being in my teens, it was much too harsh... Anyway, I looked around for something to replace it, and this one turned out the best!

Clinique Clarifying Lotion is AWESOME. Hands down. Clinique overall is amazing. Light weight. Fun. Flirty. Sexy. Simple. Natural. It makes you want to get ready for a night on the town, a day at the dog park, an afternoon hike in the mountains, or a day at home with the hubby. It is versatile and so easy. You can get ready in no time. This product in a nutshell: is a very basic astringent that is a tad on the harsh side when used on dry or upset skin. I reserve the use of this product for when the weather is very hot and humid and/or I have just worked out.

I have combination skin that is very sensitive, along with a mild issue of rosacea. My T-zone is REALLY oily and I often feel as though my forehead and nose could be cleaner after I use my fave face wash. On nights like those, I am in need of a good toner that will sop up that extra oil that I sometimes see and feel on key areas of my face. I purchased Olay Refreshing Toner because it was very inexpensive and I love the majority of the Olay brand products I have sampled in the past. I'm in love with Kiehl's products, and their Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner is no exception. I have combination skin and especially during the winter I have problems with dry patches, so when I went shopping for a toner I wanted something mild that wouldn't irritate or dry out my skin. And then I found this alcohol-free toner that smelled great so I decided to give it a try. LOVE IT. It doesn't sting my skin like stronger toners sometimes do, but it still gives me that extra-clean feeling after I swipe a cotton pad soaked with it over my face. Also, this toner gives a nice pick-me-up feeling during the hot and sweaty summer months, when you feel like you need a little something refreshing. This toner is not cheap - a 4.2 oz bottle will set you back $10 - but it really lasts. I use it a few times a week and I've had my bottle for close to a year. And...I've already purchased a replacement bottle in a bigger size - that's how much I like it. Definitely recommend trying this Kiehl's toner......

I started using Aquaglycolic toner a couple of years ago and really love it. It feels very gentle, yet it's extremely effective. It has really kept my skin soft and completely clear. I just wish I could easily buy it at the drugstore because I have to order it online....
