LoveisJoy says "Caress Bathes My Skin in Silky, Soapy Bubbles " about Caress Daily Silk Soap

In general, I have committed myself to Olay soaps because of the great lather and soft-as-butter feel. Still, I can't turn my back on my first love, Caress. Let's just say that I love the way Caress Daily Silk Soap makes me feel.

In addition to the amazingly fresh fragrance of a bar of Caress soap, the fact that the bar is made with bath oil lets you know that you're in for a moisturizing experience. Caress lathers up incredibly well and the bubbles just seem to last and last. At first I was afraid that the soap wouldn't rinse off easily, but actually it did with no problem and no drying residue. After my shower, my skin felt soft and moisturized--even before using my regular lotion. I also noticed that my skin doesn't get dry even when using Caress during the cold winter months. That's high praise for a simple bar of soap.

I do enjoy the boutique body soaps and more expensive shower gels, but you don't always have to spend a fortune to get a great bathing experience. Caress...
...

danserval says "gets sand everywhere!" about LUSH Sandstone Soap

What is it?

This soap is a lemon scented soap that has a layer of sand in it at the bottom. The smell of fresh lemon is truly wonderful, and so I thought I would really love this soap.

Why DON'T I like it?

The problem with this soap is that when you use it, sand gets EVERYWHERE! The sand is good for exfoliating, but halfway through your shower, it feels like you are showering in a shower at the beach, with sand all over the floor of the shower or the tub, in your toes, etc. I can't stand that, as it makes me feel dirty in the shower. Yuck! Supposedly they have changed the formulation now so that the sand is mixed into the rest of the soap (rather than being a layer on the bottom) specifically because they received so many complaints that the soap is so messy. I'm not convinced that mixing it in will make that much of a difference.

In short, the smell of this product is great, but the sand part of it makes such as mess that it's really not worth it.
...

dwright73 says "I am a big fan of Dove!" about Dove Deep Moisture Beauty Body Wash

Dove is what I consider the foundation of my beauty. I use the beauty bar on a regular basis. But when I started using Dove body wash I fell in love. This was the single, most smoothest, velvety feeling substance I have ever encountered in my life. The smell is so rich, yet gentle and energizing. Every morning I use Dove body wash I am totally transfixed by the aroma, which tells me my day is officially starting.

The ultra moisturing Dove has to offer, means that I no longer have to wear heavy lotions and creams anymore. I stay moisturized all day long, and I can't say that for any of the soaps I have used before, and I no longer itch and scratch.

I highly recommend Dove Body Wash to everyone It has worked wonders on my skin. I can go a step further and say that is has healed my skin. I have found nothing yet that can match up for the price. This is absolute quality if I say so myself.

dwright73 says "What would I do without Dove Beauty Bar" about Dove Beauty Bar Soap

Dove is the best beauty bar aound. It has a memorable scent, I can just about smell it on anyone using it. It has kept my skin soft and beautiful for years. What I appreciate the most is that when you use Dove in the tub, it doesn't kill the bubbles and thats a plus when you are relaxing in a bubble bath.

Because of the scent I had a hard time convincing my husband to use it. I would normally separate my Dove from his soap. One day I switched because I hated the way his hands looked fromhis line of work and I noticed that whatever was in the shower he would use.

Well he has not complained and his hands look wonderful.

So if it was up to me I would recommend Dove for anyone who wants those type of results for a price that can't be beat. The quality of Dove is a godsend for those watching their budget and want the same results as some things that are more expensive. I promise that you won't be disappointed.

njchicaa says "LUSH Vanilla in the Mist soap smells nice but that's it. Hmph." about LUSH Vanilla in the Mist Soap

I've learned not to just blindly buy every new product that LUSH releases, because it is like some strange addiction. I usually only like about 25% of the LUSH products that I try, but that somehow doesn't stop me from continuing to check them out. I recently received several soap samples in an online order, including LUSH Vanilla in the Mist Soap.

Vanilla in the Mist is, obviously, a vanilla-scented soap. It contains their palm-free, rapeseed (canola) oil base and ingredients including sunflower oil, coconut oil, gardenia extract, bergamot oil, and vanilla absolute. According to the web site, it is supposed to be a combination of "a dream dessert; quadruple espresso and a top quality Italian ice cream." Personally, I don't get any coffee notes from Vanilla in the Mist. To me, it is basically a warm vanilla scent combined with buttery cookies.

I had a fairly large chunk of this soap to use in the shower. The first thing that really annoyed me was the large vanilla bean pod...
...

I absolutely love Dove Deep Moisture Beauty Body Wash. I have really dry skin and this body wash helps me to the extreme. If I would to sugest a body wash to my family and friends it would definetly be Dove Deep Moisture Beauty Body Wash. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and smelling so fresh. And it's just not after you bathe, the feeling of freshness and softness last all day. What a wonderful feeling it leaves your body. Awesome product! And also the price of Dove Deep Moisture Beauty Body Wash is inexpensive. And that also goes for any Dove product. They give you the satisfaction that you want for a cheaper value then other leading brands. I have never not been satisfied with my purchase of a Dove product. And everyone I talk to even agrees. I never heard a complaint about a Dove product. Who wouldn't want to feel fresh, soft, and clean all day long? Well that's why you should get Dove Deep Moisture Beauty Body Wash or any dove product for that matter. Thanks Dove!
...

I usually spend lots of $$$ for body washes because I consider my shower a bit of an escape from the day to day of a stay-at-home mom. However, I recieved the Softsoap Nutri Serum Body Wash as part of a campaign from BzzAgent, and am thrilled with the product. First of all, the scent is quite appealing. It's a nice neutral that my husband doesn't mind using. The pearls contained within the soap are very nice, providing a nice feel. Super benefits of the soap include a lasting moisturizing effect that enables me to use less body lotion for a quicker start to my day. Though I still enjoy my higher priced bodywashes (think Philosophy), this product will certainly go in my rotation!
...

LoveisJoy says "A Tub Full of Bubblegum-Scented Bubbles" about Avon Bubble Bath - For Kids

My four year old grandson is big enough to take a shower, but he still enjoys splashing around a bubble-filled tub when he spends the night. I purchased a bottle of Avon Bubble Bath - For Kids so that I always have something kid-friendly on hand for him.

The first time he saw the bottle with a pair of ducks gracing the label, he knew that it was just for him. I opened the lid and he giggled and said that it "smells like bubblegum." I have to agree. It's a bit too sweet smelling for me, but apparently it's just right for a child. We poured in a generous amount of the clear colored liquid and watched the bubbles quickly foam up. Good times.

Even after splashing around for about 15 minutes or so, the bubbles hung in there and didn't fade. When it was time to extract him from the bath, I didn't notice any dryness or irritation to his skin. He didn't smell like bubblegum either--just fresh and clean.

My awesome little twelve year old son came home from doing some work in his grandfather's yard this Sunday and handed me a pink bag with an item inside wrapped in tissue paper. My birthday is Saturday, so naturally, my dad took him shopping. I received a kit with some Olay soaps, body wash, and a scrub. What I am reviewing today is the body wash my son purchased for me that smells more like desert than bath time. It smells like the most delicious coffee creamer you could ever taste on a winter morning! I had never seen this product before. Olay Winter Retreat Vanilla Indulgence Body Wash is truly great smelling and really moisturizes where you need it, but washes clean and dosen't make you greasy where you don't! He is a wise little man and a fabulous shopper. I will next be trying the scrub and bar soap. I have used Olay products for years and they have never let me down. Its no longer just for the aging, but then again, we are all aging, are we not?

...

njchicaa says "A non-lathering soap that smells like old lady perfume. Yuck." about LUSH 13 Unlucky For Dirt Soap

Recently, LUSH has switched their base for their fresh, handmade soaps from palm oil to rapeseed (aka canola) oil. The decision was made because most palm oil is not produced in a sustainable way which means that sensitive ecosystems are chopped down in order to produce more product. LUSH is a company with a conscience, so they decided to stop using palm oil in their soaps and replace it with rapeseed oil. Great idea, right? Wrong.

LUSH describes 13 Soap (Unlucky for Dirt) as a super-cleansing soap that has the antibacterial properties of oregano oil. It contains ingredients like oregano essence, rose essence, rapeseed oil, safflower oil, coconut oil, honey, oregano oil, rose absolute, geranium oil, etc. The scent of the soap while dry seemed to be herbal, but in the shower and even when it dried after use the scent became more of an old-lady, perfumey, floral rose kind of thing which I found repulsive.

Really, the main problem with LUSH 13 Unlucky For Dirt Soap is the palm-free...
...

I like to buy those travel sized Bath and Body Works lotions as gifts, and when shopping at Bath and Body Works, I picked up a few items for myself, one of them being the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Body Wash as well as the lotion. I paid $9.50 for a 10 oz. bottle.

From the name of this, I expected a warm scent with a bit of spice to it. This is supposed to also have hints of apple, cranberry, cinnamon, pumpkin and clove. The scent does have a nice, fall-ish sort of theme and it's nice to use on cooler fall nights. It mostly smells like pumpkin to me, but I would like more of a spicier scent, this one is a tad too toned down for me. For those of you that like a lighter scent, this is for you. This would be ok for day use because it's not so strong that you'll be sick of the scent by the end of the day, but more than likely this stuff isn't going to last all that long anyway. I found it maybe lasted a half hour after using.

This is orange in color, and it does have a pretty decent lather...
...

I recently placed my first order with the United Kingdom branch of the LUSH company. When I opened up my very modest order, I was shocked to discover that they included EIGHT different soap and massage bar samples, including a generous piece of Noubar Soap.

Isn't that cute? The company named one of their new soaps Noubar. (get it? "new bar"?) Anyway, this is supposed to be a pisatchio-scented and exfoliating soap as it contains little bits of almonds, peanuts, walnuts, and pistachios. The soap has a lovely pistachio fragrance with hints of rose and vetivert, but the fact that it contains so many different types of nuts makes it a no-go for those with nut allergies.

I've tried some of the "new" LUSH soaps that have the new rapeseed oil base that is replacing the former palm base. I wasn't impressed which is why I didn't bother to buy this one when it was released. I received a free sample, though, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. I used it during a few showers and was...
...

njchicaa says "LUSH Cinders didn't impress me." about LUSH Cinders Bath Bomb

I had the opportunity to visit a LUSH shop recently and was able to see/sniff their new holiday products. I decided to pass on most of them, but I did pick up two of their Cinders Bath Bombs because they smelled divine!

According to the company web site, LUSH Cinders Bath Bomb was inspired by a mulled wine-type Christmas drink served in Sweden. It smells like equal parts of cinnamon and sweet orange or apple juice. Interestingly, the company has included vegan fizzing candy (I'm guessing something like Pop Rocks) in this product and it is supposed to actually crackle as it fizzes and dissolves in the bath. At $3.95 a piece, this is one of the cheapest LUSH bath bombs available which is nice because it is much easier for me to rationalize spending $4 on a bath than $7, $8, or even $15!

When I put a Cinders Bath Bomb into my bath this morning, it immediately started fizzing and spinning and, incredibly, was completely dissolved and gone in less than a minute. The lovely sweet and...
...

lswill08 says "it sucks!!! and burns" about Equate Moisturizing body wash with shea butter & vitamins

I used this product, thinking it was for senstive skin, and thought it was compared to dove. Not so true, I first tried this product about a month ago. When I first used it it burned my gential area, and also broke my skin out. I thought it was for senstive skin, yea right!!!. I stopped using it for two months, to see if it was possibly something else bothering me. Well I recently used it today because I forgot why I stopped using it, and ran out of soap. I went to wash, and it burned the hell out of my gentials. It took over five minutes to get my body back to normal. I don't recommend this body wash to anyone. Especially women, and people with senstive skin.
...

moms2cents says "Leaves skin feeling moisturized" about Olay Spa Exfoliating Ribbons Body Wash Plus

The body wash came in a gift pack with a razor (I needed the razor and the gift pack was only $1 more than the razor),

It's claim to fame seems to be seaweed extract and micro beads. Well we know seaweed is used in make up products and supposedly is good for the skin, but do you really want to put seaweed on your body. As far as the micro beads go, the instuctions say to put the product on a puffy. Well if you do that you really can't feel or tell there's micro beads unless you use alot,

I don't like the way it comes out of the bottle, It's like the body wash is too thick and clumpy for this type of dispenser.

The body wash has a light scent. I think the scent is a little too strong since I'm very sensitive to scented products.

I'm not sure about the blue color. It's turning my white puffy blue. What's it doing to my skin?

What I like about this product is the nice lather and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized. It really helps with the dry skin I get this time of year.......

this2shallpass19 says "Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash smells good & works good too!" about Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash

Normally, I wouldn't even consider using a product that isn't all natural, but I received a free sample of Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash in the mail and I wanted to see what the hype was about. It had gotten great reviews, so I was curious to see what this product was like. As it turns out, I like it....and I'm totally surprised I do.

The appearance of Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash through the bottle was enough to pique my interest. It is a gorgeous gold color that looks shimmery and pearlescent with small, brown beads flecked throughout. Unfortunately, those small brown beads are actually polyethylene, also known as....plastic! That means plastic is going down the drain and into our oceans, not a good thought.

Brown plastic beads aside, I love this body wash. It smells great. The bottle calls it "Burnt Brown Sugar & Karite Butter". It is unlike any scent I have ever smelled before; kind of savory and sweet at the same time. When you rub...
...

Taffypull says "Best feeling body wash" about Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Wash Moisture-Retaining Omega 3 & 6

I just happened to get a great deal on this body wash with a coupon and it was on sale. I had in my cabinet for a while before I actually used it. Then my sister told me about how wonderful it was and I got it out and tried it. I love it!

It's the best body wash I've used in a long time. It's really smooth and feels great on your body. Really feels like it's cleaning as you apply it. It lathers up nicely on a shower pouf and even with just the use of your hands. It doesn't take a lot to later either.

The smell is great too and it has a long lasting smell as well.

I suffer from a mild case of dry skin and this body wash really helps me with that. I don't get out the shower now with that itching all over and it seems to really provide a lot of moisture that my skin needs and it leaves my legs soft and smooth when I shave them.

There are a couple of different kinds on the market but I really like the purple bottle that I have. I haven't had the chance to use the other kind yet but I plan too....
...

I recieved samples of this through Bzzagent and really loved it. I enjoyed the smell of it. A nice floral smell, but not too overpowering. I also like how it lathered up, although I have read somewhere that soaps that lather are really drying out your skin more, but I know I can't be the only girl who LOVES the lather anyways. I just have to have the soap lather or I don't feel like it's done anything. lol. But anyways I would come out of the shower and my skin would feel smooth and not so dry.

I have now ran out of this body wash and have not went to buy more yet so I have had to go back to the regular Softsoap bodywash I used before and I have noticed that the nutri serums did make my skin less dry compared to the regular Softsoap.

I also had a sister use a sample and she also said that she loved the smell and she noticed a difference in the softness of her skin also. So overall I have gotten a good response back on this product and would recommend it to others.
...
