I discovered Clean & Clear Invisible Blemish Treatment when I was in junior high school - and still swear by it today. I did not have acne - but oh, those occasional breakouts just destroyed my confidence. Just a dab of the clear solution on the pimple, and it goes to work. Of course, keeping your skin washed is a must, but this solution can be worn under makeup and over makeup, as it goes on clear. The magic ingredient? Salicylic acid. This ingredient is starting to be used more instead of the old fallbacks (remember benzoil peroxide?) This treatment is not just for women, men love it. I have given four of my sons this product and they echo eachother in saying "it is amazing". The product costs on an everage, about $5.25. If the price is a worry, let me assure you that it lasts a long time because you are "spot treating", and the results again, are amazing.

It is easy to carry in your purse for daytime touch-ups (guys, a pocket) - it comes in a squeeze tube .75 oz.

I bought this stuff on recommendation from a bunch of friends. At first it seemed to work, but after using it for close to a month now I don't believe it is. While I haven't had as many bigger zits, I am having a lot of smaller ones. My pores are still dark and I'm pretty much still at the pre-breakout stage.

So I wouldn't say that this product has solved my problems, but I can't say that its made them worse either. There's no way of knowing whether I would have had the breakout by now or not had I not been using clearasil. But its not preventing me from getting zits, and my skin's the worst its been. Not blaming that on the product- it might be preventing things from getting worse- who knows? Bottom line is that its not clearing things up so I'm going to look to other products.

Can't complain about the price tho- was like 7 bucks Canadian and its lasted over a month now, and is maybe half gone. The tube says 100+ applications and this might be about right.

I don't have bad acne but i do break out every now and then. I got murad because I thought it would keep my skin clear and help keep it looking healthy. NOT THE CASE!! It made me break out from my forehead to my chin. When i called to complain the lady told me that it was normal to break out for the first few weeks and that it meant the product was working. After 5 weeks and several acne scars later I stopped using the product. It took two months to get my face some what back to normal. but now i have scars on my chin and cheeks. PLEASE DO NOT BUY MURAD!!! and if you do don't say nobody warned you!

My skins breaks out once a month, about a week before my menstrual cycle. I bought the Proactiv kit from the infommercial. I was SO excited, and half expected to wake up looking like Vanessa Williams on her best day. The cleanser and toner felt extremely mild on my skin, no harsh tingles like a Clearasil or Stridex product. However, it did feel clean.

I used the product twice daily as instructed, even using the clarifying mask as a spot treatment on the two little red pimples I was sporting. By day 3, my two little red pimples had tripled in size and turned into HUGE white bumps. I was also starting to get white bumps along my jawline and nose. By the end of the week, I'd become the proverbial pizza face, with huge swollen white pimples all over my cheeks and jawline. I called the 800 number, and was told that my skin may be purging impurities. So I continued to use the product for another 3 weeks.

I will sum up the month I used Proactiv in one word, horrifying. I...

I have been using this product, St. Ives Apricot Facial Scrub for two years now. I find it to be very useful to exfoliate dead skin not just on my face, but other parts of my body as well, especially the back and chest areas. It even works well for a good foot massage. With regard to blemish and blackhead control, this works well if I use warm water first to open up my pores, then apply the scrub in a upward circular motion. I start with my forehead, then the chin area, then the t-zone. Then I rinse well with cold water to close my pores. Afterwards I apply moisturizer. Overall, this routine gives my face a fresh glow and radiance of smoother and younger looking skin. I have been using Proactiv now for 8 months and it is not all they say it is. I began like they said using the 3 step process once a day and then stepped up to twice once in the morning and once at night. I found there is no way I could keep my skin not getting dried out with the twice a day so switched back to once. I will generally use it at night before going to sleep, and really so far yes it does seems to keep my skin that does not have acne looking great, but as far as where the acne is, it really doesn't cleanse any better than any other product you can buy for a lot cheaper. Be warned also with the pricing, your first set will be $19.95 for a trial size but then when they send you the full size version that will cost you $50.00. Or they will do what they did with my mom and send the full version right from the start and charge you the $50.00 saying that you are getting 2 months worth. I have for now pretty much decided I will probably be canceling. I am going to give it one more...

I am Brand New to Neutrogena Skin ID and I have to say I am not sold on it. I only started to develop Acne late in High School and Just like most girls I used make –up to cover it up and over the counter acne control products. Now I am 23 years old and my Acne condition is worse than ever. I have tried most brand including Pro-active, Noxema, Clean and Clear and other Neutrogena products, pretty much everything you can find in local stores. I am Just wondering if I will ever find something. I live in Wyoming so I am in the Mountains and we have a differing kinds of climate and weather conditions. Let me Just say I have only been using Neutrogena Skin ID for about a Week and I think it is making my face worse. But most products make my skin worse before it gets better. But like most products before I am scared that my face will clear up and then go back to being bad. Its weird because I think I found something and then just like that its Bad Skin Again. Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask by Neutrogena is a wonderful product! I have moderate acne and combination of skin, and it is hard to find an acne over-the-counter medication that treats both dry and oily areas. This product did just that. It helped moisturize my dry areas, and remove dirt and oil from the oily areas on my face like around my nose and chin. With this product i had to make sure i used it only once a day and used the mask only once a week. If used to much it will dry out your skin. Always use an oil-free moisturizer afterwards. The only thing I did not like about this product is that if you get it on your clothes or if u have colorful cloths that you wash your face with, it will bleach them. So be careful when you wash your face, and make sure hair is pulled back. But other than that one flaw i would definatly advice Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask by Neutrogena to anybody that has moderate and combination acne.

Pro Active works as well as the department store brands for less. It is worth buying and will give you great confidence with everything you do, even going out without your makeup. Its really simple and easy to use plus the bottles are small enough to take with you when you travel! I have been using it for a year now and love the way my skin feels, its light and has a clean scent thats not overpowering or pungent like some acne treatments are. I would definately recomend this product to any of my family members or friends. Its a great way to care for your skin even if you are not currently experiencing troubles with acne or blemishes. I use it everyday as part of my daily routine and couldnt imagine my life without it. It has truly given me the confidence that I was looking for and I will never go back to the cheap drugstore immitations or department store rip offs again. It truly works and is something that i can afford.

I am viewing Neutrogena's clean & clear foaming cleanser. it did not really work for me that much so i believe its just should be rated average, maybe because my skin is a combination of both oily and dry skin, that is why it did not really work for me. i encourage people that does not have both oily and dry skin like me to use Neutrogena's clean & clear foaming cleanser because we are different and have different skin and personality. I also wish to try their other products but i am just scared if it is going to work or not. i love all Neutrogena products especially their body cream and i also like their porducts like make up, lotion, acne products and many other products and i will encourage them to keep up their good work. they are really doing great with the products, i love them all. unlike other products, neutrogena products are proven to be tested which made it high in demand so, as i said earlier, they are doing a very great job and they should keep it up.

My experience with Clearasil Ultra Acne Solution system, is similar to most other store bought cleansers that I have used in the past, which promise results but just creates another problem. Instead of clearing my pimples in "just three days" I felt my skin was more dry and uncomfortable. The thick oozing soap solution got sticky and disgusting after a while, and It seemed to me that this was just another unsatisfying product claiming to clear acne. Its funny how on the commercials it shows a guy with serious acne using this product and getting results in three days, but someone like me, with mild acne uses it and doesn't notice any kind of change whatsoever. I doubt that anyone with a serious condition like his would find any relief using Clearasil Ultra. Alot of different factors could be involved explaining why I didn't get the results I had hoped for, but overall I don't believe that this is a good product and don't recommend using it.

As a teenager, I used perscription creams and oral medications to help clear my acne. I figured that after I was out of my teen years, my skin problems would be over. Haha - guess again! I guess having children once again screwed up my hormones and I have been struggling with facial breakouts especially since having my 2nd child. One of my main problems with using a skincare regimen is my lack of dedication to using the product regularly. I have been using this system off and on for a few months, but I have really only noticed a positive difference since I have been using it EVERY night for the last few weeks. The AcneFree Severe System hasn't completely cleared my skin, but I also have to admit I have only been using the 1 benzoyl peroxide topical cream and not the Retin-A cream on the top. My favorite part about the system is the astringent. I can't believe how much makeup it removes! Overall, I have been fairly satisfied as far as OTC treatments go.

Pro Active, I ordered my son Pro Active because he has really bad acne on his face and his shoulders and he is not one for taking the time to go into the bathroom and put creams or anything on his face, but then I showed him what a friend of mines daughters face use to look like and that it cleared hers up a bit and then he decided to try it. After about a week we started to see a little change, but not much on his face and then after 6 weeks on using it, I am sad to say that it did not do much for my sons face. Maybe the different type of skin or maybe it just helped a little because he has to much acne, I don't know, but we did try. I wish it would have been able to do more for my son. He was hoping so much that it would have done more, but I guess we will have to keep trying different product's until we find one that works. Good Luck.

I've suffered from acne breakouts since teenage years & now even in my late 30's still experience it. Having a teenage daughter experiencing the same problem I can definitely relate to what she's going through. I tried over the counter products for her & even tried taking her to the doctor to get some prescriptions written for medication to avoid using Pro Active which I thought would be too strong for her. My doctor recommended purchasing a product that contained 10% benzoyl peroxide. I selected Clean & Clear continuous control acne cleanser by Johnson & Johnson. I have moderate acne and did not want to try a prescription acne medication. I have been using this product for six months once per day. I have seen improvements in my skin. It is not harsh and does irritate my skin. One bottle lasts about three months. However, I am not acne free. I am not sure if any over the counter acne cleanser will get you acne free but this one comes close. I have seen a decrease in outbreaks. Be careful because if you get it on your clothing or a towel it will dye it white. The bottle recommends using it once or twice per day. My skin is sensitive and was hesitant to use it twice per day. I have been using it once per day. In conclusion, I do recommend this product to anyone who prefers and over the counter treatment.

I have been troubled with acne for years. After trying every other product I ordered Proactiv.It was very easy to order and only took a couple days to come in the mail.It is a little more expensive than over the counter treatment but you won't regret buying it. I was very skeptical at first but after just a few days I started noticing a difference in my skins overall look and feel.It seemed as if my skin was glowing and soft to the touch plus most important my skin was clearing . Now after using the product for a few months it was like I never had a problem with acne.I do continue using the product everyday just to maintain clear skin.It comes in a 60 day supply every 2 months so I don't have to do anything but check my mail.The money comes right out of my bank account.Plus they have tons of other products that target specific problems like dry or oily skin or blackheads and whiteheads.They have stuff for body acne and all.It the best product I have tried and I only wish Iwould have done...

Clinique Acne solutions helped me clear up my skin. I get breakouts two to three times a month and while using this i had only one pimple a month. I saw such a big difference in my skin. It was smoother and glowing. I love the moisturizer that the kit came with. I wasn't sure of the moisturizer at first. My skin is super oily,but this controlled it. I only used this product once a day; in the morning. I would use the clarifying lotion throughout the day if I thought my skin was getting dirty. The overall system was easy with only three steps and only took about a minute in the morning to do. The foaming mousse that was used a cleanser was the first of that kind I used. I was really into scrubs and this was a nice break for my skin. It was so nice, light, and fluffy on my face and I used one pump and that was enough. Loved everything about this product. Only downside was the price,but I think that it is worth it.
