CookieBoo says "The Oral-B Vitality is the best investment I ever made." about Oral-B Vitality Electric Toothbrush

The Oral-B rechargeable electric toothbrush is definitely the best investment I have ever made. I have always dreaded my 6 month check-ups with the hygenist at my Dentist's office but since I bought the Oral-B my problems with plaque build-up are gone. It has a timer to tell you when your two minute brushing time is up and it holds a charge up to two weeks. The charger is small enough to pack for vacations and the brush head is very easy to change. There are different brush heads available for whatever your dental needs are. I highly recommend this product.
...

shucks says "Crest SpinBrush with Pro Whiteing Sonic is the #1 toothbrush ." about Crest Crest SPin Brush

I recently saw advertised the new Crest Spin-Brush Pro Whitening Sonic battery operated tooth brush. Since, I have used Crest Spin-Brush for years, I thought I would try this new brush and see if it would do all the things as advertised. I'm glad I did. The Spin-Brush Pro Whitening Sonic is wonderful and does everythingas advertised unlike some products. This brush has advanced sonic technology for deep cleaning and specialized whitening bristles. The advanced sonic brush design has multi-plaque removers, whitening bristle's, angled for hard to reach places, gum massaging sides, dynamic fluid action cleans between teeth and 16,000 precision Micro-Sweeps per minute.

When I purchased my tooth brush, I, also, purchased two replacement brush heads. It is recommended that toothbrush heads be replaced after three months use.

I, strongly, recommended the Crest Spin-Brush Pro Whitening Sonic tooth brush to anyone who wants good oral hygiene.
...

BlueSunshineFL says "Goodbye Aquafresh, Crest, Colgate, and Sensodyne" about Tom's of Maine Natural Whole Care Anticavity & Tarter Control Plus Whitening Gel Toothpaste

I found Tom's of Maine on accident when the hygeine products in my store had been rearranged, and I am glad.

Tom's of Maine Natural Whole Care Anticavity & Tarter Control Plus Whitening Toothpaste is an all-natural product that works like it's supposed to. My mouth has never felt so squeaky clean before. The paste is a cloudy gray color that does not foam well while brushing, but you'll stop noticing after a few days. It has also brightened my teeth more than I expected in the first week.

This is not a five star product for one reason: the taste. The first time I brushed my teeth with this paste I couldn't believe the strong, medicinal, borderline poisonous flavor on my tongue. Not at all minty like most toothpaste even though the back label boasts of spearmint and peppermint oils in its ingredients.

Give it a chance to grow on you and you will never go back to the lesser pastes.
...

dfly22000 says "Cool and minty - makes brushing fun!" about Aquafresh Toothpaste

Aquafresh toothpaste fits its name to a tee - fresh. It leaves your mouth feeling cool and clean, and tastes refreshingly minty. I like it better than some of the other toothpastes, which leave me with a very dry mouth. And it's cool how there are three colors - it looks pretty sitting on top of your toothbrush. I use Aquafresh every day, and feel like it works really well. I have very few cavities when I go to the dentist. I also use it with my electric toothbrush, and it doesn't leave any buildup or residue at all. You only need a small amount of Aquafresh to get your whole mouth feeling clean and fresh. It's not too minty, either. Sometimes, other brands are so minty it feels like it's burning my mouth. Or maybe that is some chemical they put in there to make your teeth white or something. Aquafresh works without all those junky chemicals they put in other toothpastes. Just squeeze some on your toothbrush, brush vigorously, and you are ready to start your day!
...

marrilion says "Oral B Triumph - excellent movement over teeth and ease of use " about Oral-B triumph 9400

The Oral-B Triumph 9400 combines an oscillating-rotating brush head and provides the user with feedback regarding your brushing technique. Praise for its excellent movement over teeth, ease of use and battery life. A microchip tracks battery charge, notifies different users when their brush heads should be replaced and rewards you with a smiley face on the LCD display when you complete the recommended two-minute brush time.

I've been using the Oral B Triumph for a few months now. I've probably had half a dozen electric toothbrushes over the years. It does a good job. It is a little heavier and more wieldy than most, but nothing near enough to keep me from buying it again. I really like how it gives a short buzz after each 30 seconds, alerting me to move on to the next quadrant, and a longer buzz after two minutes.

What I don't like is that the brush and handle are hard to keep clean. Prior to this, I always just rinsed my toothbrush then gave the handle a quick swipe with a handtowel....
...

TunefulGal says "This is the one that made Crest famous. It's still great!" about Crest original

A LITTLE HISTORY (some of it disgusting)

Egyptians used a "tooth paste" concocted from "iris flowers" in the 4th century A.D.

In the 19th century, the British got a hankering for "tooth powders" made from things as wild as chalk, salt, and pulverized brick or charcoal (argggggggh).

The first toothpaste incorporating fluoride hit the market in 1914. The American Dental Association (ADA) condemned such formulas...

                                                            Ta-DAH!

... until Procter & Gamble's CREST got ADA approval as an anti-cavity dentifrice on August 1, 1960. (P & G actually launched the CREST anti-cavity formula in 1955. The company started doing its research in the early 1940s!)

P & G's 1955 formula led to our current, formidable market of fix-it toothpastes. Brighten. Whiten. Kill odor-causing germs. Choose your flavors, your stripes, your glittery gels....
...

Aquafresh toothpaste can be found at any store and comes in a large tube. The toothpaste tastes like mint and doesn't fall off the brush like other toothpastes. Triple protection advanced aquafresh is guaranteed to strengthen the enamel of your teeth from the inside out. It aids in the prevention of dental cavities by filling your mouth with a foamy and refreshing product. The toothpaste is gentle on your teeth and does not leave a film on your teeth like other products. Instead it rinses off your teeth but you can still feel it working inside the tooth. It works all day to prevent further damage to your teeth from eating and drinking. It is best when used along with a prebrush rinse. It gently whitens your teeth and leaves your gums healthy. I have been using this product for a while now and I would not go back to my old toothpastes. Use it twice a day, consistently, for best results, and it is even safe for children two years and over!
...

I got this product and wasn't expecting much. Well I used it the next day and left it on for 25 min instead of 30 because I got intense pain in my lower teeth. So I took it off and I saw a noticable difference in whiteness. It really did work great, even after just one application. Well, the day dragged on and as it did so my teeth started to hurt worse and worse. I could not eat and did not want to eat because of the intense pain. I'm not even kidding, it hurt pretty bad. I've used other whitening products and they never hurt anywhere near this bad. So end result, it works great but so not worth the pain....

I have tried crest whiting strips for 2 weeks and i see the difference. What i like about this is it shows an improvement a little at a time. I worried that a whitening system would show a dramitic differnce after the first use and everyone would notice immediatly like wow you have whitened your teeth drastically huh? I wanted a more subtle whitening system and crest does just that. As you use them every time you get a whiter and whiter shade slowly yet noticably. I am a big tea drinker and after time it does take its toll on your teeth. I have switched to green tea as its lesser staining yet does still stain so crest strips works nicely for me and may work nicely for you, worth a try right? why not anything to improve your look and self confidence as well.
...

This toothbrush is amazing. I bought the Sonicare FlexCare RS930 model based on friends and co-workers comments and honestly it has not disappointed me. It is a bit pricy but appears to be well built, quite and easy to handle (and really it is not about price but the quality and performance of the product). I was very surprised at how clean my teeth felt after just the first use - as clean as they do when I leave my dental hygienist office after a cleaning. After brushing, my gums have a pleasant healthy tingle and in the four months I have been using it they hardly bleed at all now. Also it has a much smoother vibration and more vigorous action than my old rotating brush. Only after purchasing the Sonicare did I realize how much technology had improved. It is also easier to hold; lighter in the hand and the best part is the ease of cleaning since the FlexCare model has fewer crevices to trap the gunk. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants real quality.
...

Jo says "Oral Balance wets my Dry Mouth " about Biotene Oral Balance Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel

To the Point

I have an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome. This is not the only condition that causes dry mouth. There are many reasons that you could have dry mouth. If it is chronic I suggest you see a doctor. I like Biotene products. In my arsenal is a gel called Oral Balance Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel.

A Closer View

This 1.5 ounce tube runs about $7.00 which is a lot of money for a small tube; however, a little really does go a long, long way so I am not counting this as a negative. It has bio-active enzymes that are said to stop odor-causing bacteria and help provide protection against dry mouth.

Oral Balance Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel is sweetened with Xylitol. If you have dry mouth make sure that when you buy gum (If you do.) that it contains Xylitol as the primary ingredient. That ingredient alone will help with your dry mouth. Oral Balance Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel helps with swallowing. Many of us have problems swallowing and coughing becomes a way of life.
...

Honestly who isnt into good oral hygiene, We all know enough to care for our teeth, and with so many different toothpastes out there your bound to find one that keeps you smileing. And now those same tooth pastes promise to keep your smile white along with all the other things they do.

As most of us know thats a hard promise to keep. Coffee, Tea, and all sorts of other habits make keeping the smile bright. Then there was Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster. Just add some on top of your tooth paste and brush your way into a super white smile. The job Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster has done with my teeth surprize me alot, even though I had read a well writen review that said this product would do just that. To think of the money I have spent on those whitening strips from Crest. (sorry Crest its true). Arm & Hammer is so much better and so much easier.

I am so disappointed in this product. I have tried several other battery operated toothbrushes and found their power to be significantly better. I had to replace the battery on the first day, even though the packaging around the button area looked intact. Now, it has been just over a week and I have to replace it again. When I put any pressure whatsoever on the brush while brushig, it stops spinning. I am most disappointed that I tried to send a feedback e-mail to the company and despite having an area that indicates you can e-mail them, it didn't let me do so. I have used the cross action brush that is not battery operated and if I decide to go old school again I may get that one, but never again will I buy a battery operated oral-B.
...

Two weeks ago I went for my twice yearly dental cleaning, or rather it should be called my twice yearly lecture about not flossing. I know I'm supposed to do it but I just don't think about it until I get the lecture.

So on my way out of the exam room I noticed that there was a box of individually wrapped flossers called Johnson & Johnson Wild Flossers. Me being an overgrown kid who still loves little toys and trinkets asked if I could have a few to which my hygienist replied "you can take the whole damn box if you'll actually use them". So I grabbed a handful of the colorful plastic dinosaur floss picks and brought them home.

Wild Flossers are really cute. They're basically the same as the pointy-ended floss picks for adults only they're flat dinosaur shaped tools without pointy ends or sharp edges. The idea is that the colorful characters entice little kids to want to floss their teeth.

Buggheart says "Cheaper is not necessarily better. " about DenTek Triple Clean Floss Picks

I love my teeth but I hate to floss them. I just don't think about it until my dentist yells at me and then I buy 14 kinds of floss that I use for a week and forget about. The one type of floss that I do really like is the kind that comes in little individual picks.

Recently I bought a pack of Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks. They were on sale big time. Two packs of 90 picks for $2.99. So I got the two-pack, brought it home and promptly forgot about it until last week when my dentist yelled at me for not flossing often enough.

So I dug out my Dentek Floss Picks and gave them a try. And boy do I hate them. You see, cheaper is not necessarity better because rather than using one pick for my whole mouth or one for the top teeth and one for the bottom, I have to use no less than four picks to floss all my teeth which turns out to be not such a good value in the long run.

The problem is that the floss breaks free of the plastic pick part. I can usually floss my all of my front...
...

KarenMarie1949 says "Excellent toothbrush" about Oral-B Oral B Vitality Electric Toothbrush

My dental hygienist recommended Oral B electric toothbrush. She said she felt that it was an excellent electric toothbrush primarily for its round shaped head. I had been using a manual toothbrush and had followed all of my dentist recommendations for the way to brush but still I was having a lot of gum recession plus plaque build up. Once I started using Oral B electric toothbrush I totally was able to turn things around.

It is important with any toothbrush manual or electric to make sure and change the toothbrush or toothbrush head as in the case of the electric type whenever you see wear. The nice thing about the oral b electric toothbrush head is that the color of the brush which is primarily blue begins to lighten when it is time to change. I since have purchased one for my husband and son and both of them love it.

Another nice thing about the oral b vitality electric toothbrush is that it is priced very reasonably. And, if you are a coupon-er like me you can save a bundle on that...
...

KSethi78 says "Budget Brushing at its best! Love the Vitality Electric!" about Oral-B Vitality Electric Toothbrush

The Oral-B Vitality Electric Toothbrush is the best toothbrush I've ever used. Granted, I haven't used them all and there may be better ones out there, but I completely challenge you to find one for the same price and value that works as well as this one does! I've been using this brush for three years now and have had many chances to switch to ones that are "better" but I don't think I'll ever want to.

Some of the best features on this besides the price are that its rechargable. No more fiddling with batteries on handheld electric tooth brushes. Its also lightweight and portable.

Highly recommended!
...

lenny22 says "They work..but ouch factor is high" about Crest Whitestrips Premium 7 Day

I'm truly not interested in my good looks but my daughter recommended and then purchased these for me and I'm a sucker for my girls and find myself doing the oddest things for them.

I promised I would try them as I have a partial and the rest of my teeth didn't match the gleaming chiclet ( their words ..not mine). It was actually painful. At first I thought perhaps I had done it incorrectly but subsequent tries also delivered the same result. It felt at first just a little irritating , like eating a pineapple that is very acidic, but then it was just a full onslaught. I did not ( or rather...could not) keep it on for the desired amount of time specified on the box. However, the little things worked. My teeth are visibly whiter and in no small degree either. That being said, they have white stripes that though not really noticeable are still detectable up close.

The product works albeit at a painful price.
...

dpatafio says "best electric toothbrush, dentist clean feeling" about Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush

the phillips sonicare electric toothbrush is the best toothrbusgh i have used. after the first use my teeth felt immaculately clean and like i had just gotten my teeth clean by a dentist. they felt smooth, looked whiter and my gums didnt bleed like they normally do when i use a manual toothrbush. the only thing you have to remember is that you cant turn it on with the toothpaste on the brush becuase of its power it will send the toothpaste flying up in the air. i learned this the hard way. other than that a really excellent toothbrush. i am hoping to get my daughjter used to the feeling that way she wont be scared of the first dentist trip and the sensitive mode is great for that. the toothbrush comes with 3 modes and 2 toothbrush heads one big and one small. it holds itz charge for an amazingly long time so i dont keep it pluged in at all times only when i need to charge it which is like once a week for an hour, if that long.
...
