destin2009 says "This is the best straightner I have ever used." about Chi straightner

Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron
From CHI
Buy new: $84.29

Product Description

Chi Original 1" Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Model GF-1001 The CHI can be considered
one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today. The CHI's ergonomic
design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist.
The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal
in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles
help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up. Featuring an
extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside
the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are
recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10 seconds.

Thats most of the facts. I had a chi straightner and it was the best i ever had. i had it for like two and a half...
...

Scryblz says "This is by far the best flar iron I have ever used. " about Con Air flat irons

As I stated above this is the best product I have ever used by con air. I previously owned two flat irons one being a crimper (different brand) it never got my hair really straight like the con air did. I only had to go over my head one time. the adjustable temperature settings are great cause you don't have to worry about burning off your hair. it's highly safe, because it automatically shuts off when it's not in use. If one is crunched for time ( like I usually am in the mornings it heats up in 5 minutes. If con air ever came out with something better than the flat irons I already have. I'd definately be willing to pay for it.
...

I am in love with hair care product. Recently i suffered from thinning hair. I started shopping inhair salons for my hair car products so i could change my hair thinning. Now I am addicted to hair salon products. I enjoy several different brands. I particularly like Nixon, bed head, sexy hair, just for curls and chi products. I use special shampoo and conditioner for my thinning hair. I use a voume mousse for my damp hair and finnish it off woth a just for curls curling hair spray. That gives my the look for my natural hair. Sometime i decide to flat iron my hair. When I do, i still use a shampoo and conditioner for my thinning hair. I will let my hair dry naturally. The i use my chi flat iron with the chi flat iron protectant spray. That spray also provides styling spary in it to keep the frissys down. I like to share my opinion with anyone who interested in continuation of the products i love to use most. I also would be willing to try out new products that help with a dry itchy scalp....
...

cyalizzy says "Curls great, and leaves your hair feeling light-weight." about Conair Conair Infiniti Curling Iron

Conair Infiniti is a curling iron, it curls good and you don't need to put gel so it can stay like that. It heats up in about a minute, and you are able to change the temperature. You can also use it for straigtening, but its not for that, and it would come out weird. you can style you hair different ways, depends on how long you leave it on. It can be soft curls or really curly or just wavy, thats the best part about it. It has a black thing , were you put the curling iron in, so you can put it away without the curling iron burning anything else. Its easy to use and affordable. Most stores sell them, like Walmart, Walgreens , or Target. When you iron it with this curling iron, it leaves your hair feeling soft, not hard and your ends don't look split., Also, it takes all the frizz away, and leaves your hair curled for a long time, not just for 2 hours. It works when you hair is wet, and has a bar so you can open and close , so you can iron your hair/
...

I am on my third one. I like this product, but I feel it dies to quickly. i have been using them for about 4 years on biracial hair. after the first one blew, i did buy another. and this one worked for about a year or so before it too went kaput. i was a little frustrated and decided to try a different brand. i actually liked this one much better (paul mitchell). i was sad cause while vacationing overseas, i plugged it into the converter and had too much power and that one blew. when i came back home, i could not find that product, so i bought another chi. this is the one i'm currently on. it does a good job straightening my hair, but i wish it had the settings where i could adjust how much heat i want, i think my second one did, but the current one doesnt. I do like the chi product, it is my second favorite out of all that i have tried, and trust me that has been a lot. i just wish for as much as i'm spending on it, it would last just a little bit longer.
...

Conair Straightner doesn;t really straighten, though it does take the frizz away. When you are straightening your hair, it leaves the bottom kind of wavy, (if you have curly or wavy hair), it would only work if you hold it for a very long time. It works when your straightening your bangs. It has a one inch ceramic plate and youcan change the temperature, which is good. It heats up pretty fast, once you plus it in. It takes about 1 minute, when your straightening you hair with this, it leaves it hard, not soft and silky. It doesnt straighten wet hair. Its not bad for the price. It has an on and off button, but doesnt have auto off. It has a black thing, (dont know what it is called), so you can hold it so you wont get burned, while you are straightening you hair. When i straighteined my hair with this, a couple hours later, you can see that your hair is already messy and frizzy again.
...

I purchased the Revlon Jade several years ago. It is still in perfect working condition. I use it right out of the shower or even on dry hair. The jade panels allow my hair to slide freely without pulling or tugging on my hair. Since I've swapped my old iron for this one, I've noticed my hair is no longer frizzy and I have no split ends anymore. It has a wonder 3 heat control and a swivel cord which is a handy 8-feet. It is a quick 30 second heat up and keeps the temperature at a steady degree. I've had this product for 5yrs now and I will never buy any other type except the Revlon Jade. It's well worth the cost!

I've tried several different types of flat irons with results not meeting my satisfaction. I bought Maxe Glide and I don't regret paying the cost because it does exactly what the products is supposed to do. It made me hair pin needle straight with product solution and kept it that way through extreme humidity. The best product I've ever bought. Totally recommend it to people that have natural curly hair. Unlike other products, Maxi Glide brushes hair straight without leaving cringe marks on your hair. It cost around $120.00 plus tax but it is totally worth the money. I've own my first one since 2004 and it's still working great. The after shampoo conditioner really does keep your hair straight through high humidity conditions. My relative asked me what I was using to straighten my hair, so I shared my secret with her and she loved it. She ordered one the following week for herself. From time to time we still talk about this great product and how it's still working after so many years. ...
...

I was lucky enough to actually win one of 10 GHD IV Stylers during an online giveaway (with the item shipped directly from the GHD company)--but I do know that the original pricetag read $240.00! I am so overwhelmingly happy with this straightener, there is literally nothing more I can ask for it to do.

First off, it comes very well packaged, with a well-fitted [black] box in which it is additionally encased with a plastic covering; an instructional CD as well as manual are also included. The straightener itself has ceramic plates, and heats up in literally, less than 10 seconds--turning on with a beep, then sounding another beep when it has reached its full 375 degrees F, with an aditional LED light to signal this. Let it be known, at this point, that I have been a faithful user of the orignal CHI for the past three or so years, so the feeling of the new GHD was definitely a change for me; and at first, I actually didn't notice a difference. However, after my second experince with the...
...

Great deal... I have tried the Chi Iron, which works great but only flatens and doesn't curl at all. The instyler does both!! Also you get two Instylers for the price of one!! The Chi Iron would have cost the same and not given you the versatility the Instyler does. It really creates a smooth, silky surface to your hair. My hair used to be smooth as silk but now it is very curly and frizzy. I used to have to blow dry it as well as curl it to get a smooth, healthy look. With the Instyler my hair can even start out damp and it will not only dry it but it wont fry or damage it and give it a beautiful smooth, silky, healthy look. It also heats up quickly! I am impressed as are all the people I have let use it. "Where did you get this?", "Oh is this that curling iron they sell on TV? I wanted to try that!!", "Oh this is awesome. I love it!! I need to get one of these!!" It has been a great success and I have turned many people on to it. Thanks Instyler.
...

I have very thick hair and the flat iron gets hot enough to straighten my hair very well. The flat iron doesn't ruin my hair and keeps it soft. I have had it for a while and is still running very well. I have many flat irons and this one works best. It has 25 heat settings and gets to 400 degrees. The heat protector I use on my hair doesn't leave residue on my flat iron like it has on other flat irons I've used. You can buy this at Target and a lot of other retailors. It is reasonably priced. Only about $30. It can be used on all types of hair. The cord is very long. The flat iron can be locked for traveling purposes. It is very handy and easily stored. There is a limited warranty that comes with it. One of the best flat irons I've gotten at a reasonable price. It is fashionable looking, pink and brown. It has an easily readable, digital display. I would recommend this flat iron to anyone. It does not damage your hair and keeps my hair smooth. It helps make my hair look......

My stylist uses the Redken Ceramic flat iron to smooth out my hair and to give it body and bounce. I really love the straightening quality of this product. My hair normally lasts two weeks when my stylist uses this styling tool. I love the fact that this product has even heat distribution and that it does not burn my hair or get too hot. I do not have any split ends. My hair is healthy and many people inquire about my hair stylist as well as the product and the styling tools that she uses to give my hair a superb style. When I first began going to my current stylist I was a bit nervous with her using a ceramic flat iron. I was used to my stylist using the gold plated flat irons. My new stylist introduced me to the Redken Ceramic flat iron and it truly made a difference in the appearance and texture of my hair. As a Black American woman, I am very sensitive about my hair and would never use just any styling product or tool on my hair. However, I would definitely recommend...
...

The in Styler is a easy and fast product to use. I am an ameutuer when it comes to styling hair , but the first time that I used it I was amazed at the affects. My hair looked as if I had just come from the hair salon. The great thing about this product is that you can order it as a trial membership, and if you don't like it return it for a full refund. This product also comes with a set of tips for adding volume and curling your hair .And get this , it comes as a pair so you can split the payments with a friend, because of course you aren't going to use both. The thing I love about this product though is that it can be used for all types of hair, from straight , to kinky , to curly. And it's nearly impossible to burn your hair with this product. It has 3 settings , High, medium and low. You can also towel dry your hair and use the In styler right after. Trust me I've done it before, and it works. I don't ever wan't to use a " regular" curling iorn again.
...

The iron heats up with in a few minutes and stays hot. I have thick hair and a lot of it and every time I use it my hair is flat, straight, and smooth. The best part about it is that it stays that way all day. That says alot since I live in a very humid area. I love all the heat settings because it is able to get as hot as I need it to get my hair straight as opposed to other straightners that seem to be only for girls with thin hair. It has a long power cord with a swivel which is awesome because i can hook it up and not feel like im restricted as I am doing my hair. And most of all, it is very durable. In the past six years I have only had to replace it once. I have owned another brand once and it just quit working within two months. i did not bother getting another because I did not like it either way. This flat iron works great.
debishults says "The best" about Chi Flat Iron

I have had several flat irons in the past that I bought from Ulta that definately were not in the least expensive range but just never felt like I could spend the extra to get the best (Chi). Last year my friends hair stylist was going to pick her up a Chi from a beauty supply store that she gets all of her products and she offered to get me one as well and they were on for a promotional price. Looking back I would have saved buying the Chi flat iron from the start. I got the cute pink camoflouge with the travel case that matches. In the past my flat irons would get product stuck on the plates and it was hard if not impossible to get off. I have never had any problems with my Chi doing that in fact it still looks just like it did when I originally got it. To anyone out there thinking about buying a flat iron my advice is to go ahead and splurge on the Chi, I truly think it will save you money in the long run.
...

daniellels says "Perfect hair all day long!" about Chi Chi Hair Straightener

For months I made 'do' with my $40 straightener trying to convince myself that it would be enough. I would see other women with perfect hair to find out they used a CHI. Everyone would say "A C-H-I...! ooohhhh Like it was something to worship. Well gals...It is the Mercedes Benz of hair straighteners. I am chanting CHI! CHI! CHI! everywhere I go.
I have thick, wavy hair and it only took about 10 mins to iron it flat. It feels silky smooth too! and is so shiny! My $40 cheapie made it feel like straw.
I know the high price may stop many women from buying it.
But I swear, you HAVE to buy a CHI, if you are as fussy about your hair as I am, its a dream come true.
Finally; we puffy, thick and wavy haired gals can have it all.
It heats up fast and does not burn or singe the hair at all..but rather glides through my hair. I didn't experiencing it being overly hot either. Just perfect in every way. Way worth the money!
...

tulip40 says "Wouldn't buy it again" about Conair Ion Shine 1875 Watt Hair Dryer

The dryer itself is fine. It heats nicely. It's not heavy. The tools are very helpful with drying your hair; however, I wouldn't say it dries my hair faster or adds more shine. But whatever good attributes it has are overshadowed by the cord curling on itself, making it practically impossible to use. I was constantly having to uncurl the cord so I could dry one side or other other. Even after I would uncurl it, it would immediately curl again. When it wasn't being used, it wouldn't sit on my dressing table, crashing on to the floor. I tried a million different ways to fix the problem but to no avail. I stopped using it after three months because it was so aggravating. Overall, it drys your hair which it's supposed to do, but it isn't any different than any other blow dryer on the market. Because of the problems with the cord, I use a different dryer now, which does the same as the Conair, was cheaper, and the cord doesn't curl.
...

melissaosborne08 says "Herstyler straightener is not worth the money." about Herstyler Gold Panther hair straightner

The herstyler hair straightener is a good product but the cheaper brands from wal mart work just as well for me. Someone demonstrated the product on me at the mall and I ended up buying it for a discounted price of $80.00. However when I got home and tried to do the same thing the next day, I couldn't get the results that he got. My husband wasn't very happy that I had spent $80.00 on a hair straightener, and even more unhappy with me when I didn't get very good results. I thought it would be faster and better than the leading brands, but it turned out to be not as good as the $30.00 straightener at Wal Mart! I still like this product, but if someone were to ask me I would have to say that it wasn't worth the money. The guy that demonstrated it gave me these beautiful curls that I couldn't duplicate with mine. The herstyler doesn't straighten your hair as well as the cheaper ones either. Sometimes I had to go over the same strand several times, or go really slow. I have...
...
