My hair has always been frizzy...I can blowdry it and it looks like I stuck my finger in a light socket! So naturally after I blowdry my hair, I straighten it. (I probably should use some kind of heat protectant for my hair). And though I straighten it, it still seems to try to curl up in places it shouldn't. But what I noticed to be the worst was where I part my hair, there's always some hairs sticking every which way...it's really aggrivating! So while looking down the hair product aisle, I came across Pantene Texture and Defining Pomade. I was honestly looking for something to help flip my hair up on the ends, but found that this product has many great charachteristics that I find useful. First off, it is a texturizer, and does just that. I put it on the ends of my hair to help it flip, and it stays all day! Plus, I put a little on those stray hairs that stick up at my part, and they lay down! This pomade really does wonders to my unruly hair. The best feature is...
...

JereAmos says "Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla SIlk Serum is simply AMAZING!!" about Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk Serum

One word to describe this product: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I absolutely love this product with all my might. If I was to choose ONEhair product to use for the rest of my life this would definitely be it. It leaves your hair oh so silky, smooth, and heavenly smelling. I tried another hair serum product and Organix's products throws the other one out the water, it is infinitely many times better. I love this product so much that I only use it on special occasions or when I want to impress someone, it is a little pricey and I want to make sure not to run out. I look forward to being a loyal customer of Organix for the years to come. It has no artificial colors, it is not tested on animals, and the bottle is recyclable. You do want to be careful not to pile it on everyday though, after a while of piling it on it will weigh your hair down and leave it looking super greasy. That is why you want to shower every other day, as you will be washign away the old product build up and clearing your hair for...
...

lnknprk1002 says "Frizz ease Hair Serum is the best for frizzy hair!" about Frizz Ease Hair Serum Extra Strength Formula

Frizz Ease Hair Serum Extra Strength is one of my favorite things ever!! i always have to have it even if I can't afford anything else that week I have to get this product. I have very dry frizzy hair and i put this on after I take a shower when my hair is still wet. then i blow dry my hair and sometimes have to add a little to my ends and it makes my hair beautiful and shiny. i would recommend this for frizzy hair or curly hair to bring out your curls. you can use it on wet or dry hair. just be careful not to use to much at one time especially on the top of your hair so it doesn't look oily. Concentrate on your ends mostly. It is about 5 dollars at Wal Mart and it comes in different strengths for different hair. it is a purple bottle and usually on the top shelf by the shampoo and stuff. I can't go without it! I have tried other products like it and it isn't the same this one is the best for frizzy hair. It only takes a quarter size dollop for long hair. try it and you'll love it too....
...

sereni9547 says "Herbal Essences set me up hair spray holds all day !!!!!!" about Herbal Essences Set me up Hairspray

I love the smell of this product all day long on my hair. I bought this because I had a coupon and fell in love with the cactus flower bamboo max hold. I love the way it holds my hair in place all day long and the smell does not fade. I had someone ask me what kind of perfume I was wearing the other day and I actually did not have any on it was my hairspray. Unlike other brands of hairspray I 've used in the past I also love the design of the nozzle when the spray comes out. I do not have a lot of time with three boys so as soon as my hair is curled and spray is on I have a bad habit of throwing it in a drawer and with other brands the nozzle comes off and spits at me but this has a wonderful large built in plastic nozzle and I do not have to worry if I have the lid back on. I would tell anyone to try this product. It holds great, its smells great and the packaging is great and well thought out.
...

mxxvii says "Easily worth the price!" about Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray 10 oz

John Frieda's Moisture Barrier has been my life saver for the longest time. As a broke college student unable to afford higher quality hair products, I've basically been doomed to Wal-Mart shopping. I can tell you this: this is the best hair product that Wal-Mart sells. I have tried so many different things to tame humidity, and this was the only one to come close.

It's useful for so many things! My hair is curly, and sometimes I like to leave it curly, but sometimes I straighten it. This is the only product I've found excellent for both. I'll either spray it in on damp hair, scrunch it, and let it air dry for beautiful curls, or spray it on styled, dry, straight hair for hold. Both hate humidity so very much, and both do fine with this hairspray. I'm not light with it, I do need to use a decent bit, but it definitely holds. It even gives a bit of volume!

Of course, there are other products out there designed for curls, or even simply good hair straighteners that don't require a humidity...
...

Yes, this is one item you need to put in your travel toilettries, because with it you can always make yourself look tolerable in order to leave the room. Even you happen to come upon the unfortunate occasion when you do not have shampoo and conditioner, this is the item that can still save the day. I apply it with my hair still humid and comb it relataively fast. If you take too long the mousse will dry and you won't be able to comb it. But if you comb it fast, there's no pain from tangled hair and you can manage a tolerable do.

This 2 oz. bottle spray canisster I'm looking at is quite easy to store. It will take up very little space in one's bag. The price for this product is also inexpensive and will offer good value to the budget conscious traveler. This particular mousse is the Curly, one but it also comes in Straight. They both work well to control freeze and making combing easier. You could loose your investment if the lilac cap comes off in your bag because the plasti white dispenser...
...

I tried Suave volumizing mousse, max hold number 8. i was quite surprised. it is a very inexpensive product, but works really well.

i have very fine, thin hair. i use this mousse in my hair while it is still damp. i put a small amount in the palm of my hand, rub both hands together and rub both hands all over my head to get all of my hair.

my hair dries naturally and the mousse holds a nice body and lift to my hair. not using the hair dryer, it is a little stiff when my hair dries, but then i just use a brush through my hair and it is nice with lots of body. which is something this girl with fine, limp hair tries to get.

Suave volumizing mousse comes in a 9 ounce bottle. the one bottle lasts a long time. i use it everyday and the bottle lasts me 4-5 weeks. you can buy this at WalMart or KMart. Anywhere that sells the Suave hair products. i have tried more expensive products and find you don't have to pay more to get a good hair product.
...

I love this hairspray! I am definitely a natural girl, so the light almost piney scent it has is very appealing. I love that it doesn't make my hair sticky. I have very fine hair and it doesn't weigh it down. Also, some sprays will make my hair look greasy, which this doesn't do. It goes on very light and has a decent hold. I think it's great for an "all natural" look. There are only two drawbacks: on those days when I want a more polished look, not so natural, it doesn't quite do the trick; not quite enough hold. Also the price, it's quite high. But I still love it, and if I could afford it, would buy it all the time!
...

" I love this straightner ". I was born with natural curls and have pretty much killed my hair by overdoing it with hair dyes and frying it with my old straightner. It starightens my hair flat which i had a problem doing with my old one, i di get rid of the curls but it left my hair poofy, very dry, and frizzy. This product made my hair sleek & shiny, and also very straight and also managed to withstand HUMIDITY. I am the one satisfied girl. one of my friends has one and i used it when i went to her house, it is amazing ! my hair was perfectly for two days. i am sure it would have lasted way than longer than that if i hadn't washed it. I really like very much.

When I buy my hair care products its not about money it about my hairs health. I want my hair to be strong and soft not burned and dry. I take are of my hair trying my hardest not to burn it with my strightner. This serum is like magic to me. The littlest bit can make you hair lush and lovely with a shinny. It weatherproofs your hair so that the humid weather dont frizz your hair. It also prevents flyaways and make dry hair smooth. Healthy hair is important to me and this keeps my hair lively and beautiful. It may be a little expensive but it worth the few extra dollars. so If you have dry hair or slip ends this would be a great product for you to try. Its also good for people who want that extra shine added to their hair or some extra volume. This is an all around great product i would reccommend it to a friend any day. This product is a must buy for wemon and a must try for men. If you would like silk like hair youll love Frizz Ease hair Serum Extra Strength Formula.
...

I absolutely adore Herbal Essences. In the last five years, I think they have put out some really fine, quality products. I have been using their hair color, both permanent and semi-permanent since I was fifteen, maybe younger. I stepped up to high end salon products for a while only to find, not all of them are what they are cracked up to be. I got this can of Herbal Essences Set Me Up Maximum Hold hairspray at Rite Aid on sale. It was two for $5 for Herbal Essences Products and I also had a $1 coupon. Yes, I am very frugal. I was pleasantly surprised! This stuff holds all day even in humidity. It has a strong, but soft, natural hold. You don't look like you are wearing a helmet even if you roundbrush for volume. I am slowly falling madly in love with these products. Being a girl, the beautiful bottles are eyecatching and look good in my bathroom. This one is a gorgeous metallic teal with purple and silver and green accents. I love the new image Clairol has...
...

I don't often use hair spray, but when I do, I expect it to do its job without giving me "helmet head" or flaking and making me look like I have a bad case of dandruff. Gross either way. So I decided to try Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Hi Hold + Hi Shine Hair Spray. Good move.

What I like about it: Aussie products are priced pretty cheaply, so I was happy with the price (around $3.00). The directions say to spray in short bursts, which I did not do initially. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. It comes out really fast and in a wide spray, so if you don't spray it in little bursts, you'll end up with a cloud of hairspray around your head. The mist is very fine, so you don't end up with wet patches on your hair, like I have had with pump sprays. I like that the hold is fairly strong, but not stiff. It doesn't last all day, but for an updo that doesn't need to be perfect, it works really well. The product also doesn't flake at all...whew! It adds a nice bit of shine as well as hold,...
...

People always have different types of hair. My hair type is not too thick, but not too thin. I have dark brown hair, mid length, and it's wavy. It is somewhat curly also. If I let my hair go and do not put anything in it, it looks really dull and boring. It is sort of wavy and just lays on my shoulders if nothing is put in it. Everyone wants to add a little volume to their hair and that is what I wanted to do with mine. I had tried other hairsprays and products and nothing quite did the trick that I needed it to do. I was never fully satisfied with the way my hair looked. So I thought it was time for a change. I decided to go ahead and try the Suave hairspray because I heard that it worked through the grapevine. The first time I tried Suave, my hair stayed how I wanted it too. My natural curls actually looked bouncy and full for once in my life. It stayed like that all day and it held really well. The hairspray also worked better once I used the Suave hair gel also. It really worked...
...

I apply it to wet hair or dry and it works beautifully with both methods, especially if you blow dry your hair as it also helps to control the frizzies, even in humid weather.

What I like most about it, it doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down or heavy like many other glossing serums I've tried. Another positive point, this Smooth Gloss Serum doesn't have that residual oiliness either, it leaves hair feeling silky not dirty / greasy.

My hair is very straight and thick, this gives it that smooth healthy look I really like and it lasts until I shampoo. The pump bottle is 1.7 ounces in size, not huge...
...

Lindak03 says "For hair like mine you can only go with LA Looks!" about LA Looks Curl Defining & Frizz Control Gel

Ok, how can I describe my hair? Lets see, dry, curly, thick, and FRIZZY! Growing up I always had trouble with my hair. I hated it. I never knew how to style it because I was the only one with my type of hair in my family. It wasn't until high school, when my friend gave me a "make over" and styled my hair with LA Looks Curl Defining and Frizz Control Gel. For the few times that I wore my hair down, it was nothing but frizz and now I had nice define curls! For the first time in my life I wanted to wear my hair down all the time! Ever since then that is the only gel I use. I have tried LA Looks Sports but have found that it makes your hair harder and less bouncy. With the Curl Defining and Frizz Control your hair stays in place but has its natural movement at the same time. It also has a nice sent to it. Oh...and very important it does not flake! Who wants to walk around looking like they have dandruff right. Plus it is cheap. It use to be around $1.97 but they raised it to around $2.50 I...
...

Shufflebored says "Paul Mitchell Daily Boost is the cure for flat hair!" about Paul Mitchell Paul Mitchell Extra Body Daily Boost

Paul Mitchell products are usually a bit out of my price range, but this product goes a long way and is indispensible for someone who suffers from chronically FLAT HAIR. No matter what I've used in the past, no matter how voluminous my hair looks at first, within a couple hours it falls completely flat. Not with this stuff! You just spray the nozzle directly on the damp scalp after washing your hair - I do it six times but I suppose it depends on how much of a problem your hair is. Then you massage it in and blow dry, and I find it's very easy to style. I'm not great with styling my hair, I tend to hold my head down and dry and see what happens, and I usually get a great result with this stuff - especially if I use some hair spray before I turn my hair back up. There is one big down side, though. I used to have very long hair and when I would use this product, it would get ridiculously tangled, especially at the base of my scalp. Now that I have shoulder length hair I no longer have this...
...

akingslifetime says "Optimum Care gives Straight & Beautiful Real Deal Hair" about Optimum Optimum Care

When perming your teens hair, I have had some products that dont do any kind of straighting, they actually leave the hair off in the worser position than before the perm. But Soft Sheens-Carsons, Optimum care is one of the best permanenet straightner processes that I have seen in a long, long time, and it's the real deal for your hair. My daughters hair which is usually a chore to perm due to the different areas of her hair some sections are coarse, and some sections are fine to medium coarse, so you have do be quick to do the softer sides last and the coarse hair first. Even doing this, she would still complain about burning from the process. But with this Optimum Care, she did not complain at all about burning, it left her hair silky and shinning after I rised out the perm. Then when I added the shampoo and leave in conditioner, her hair looked amazing when we finished. It says on the box, that is Proven Break Reduction for stronger hair, is true, my daughter swears she will...
...

martineof5 says "I gotta have my Pantene!" about Pantene Smoothing Frizz Defense Creme

Pantene has the best hair products ever! I have very long hair and I've experimented with many different brands of leave-in conditioners. Then the search was over when I discovered Pantene's Smoothing Defense Creme. It's a must have for me. I wash my hair at least every other day because I do construction work with my husband. That tended to dry my hair out. Until I discovered Pantene's Smoothing Defense Creme. It works amazingly! I get complements on my hair regularly and owe a lot of that to Pantene. It really does smooth and defrizz my hair. I just put a little on as I comb out my hair after a shower and I'm ready to go. It doesn't get any easier than that and you can't beat the value!
...

emmiv14 says "Dove Extra Hold hairspray smells AMAZING." about Dove Extra Hold

Dove Ultra Hold is great for when you are really getting creative with your hair styles. I did a lot of my friends hair for prom while I was in high school and I always used this hairspray. I am big on a lot of dove products. I use their shampoo and conditioner also. The smell is irresistable. Sometimes if you use too much of this product it can tend to make your hair feel sticky or look wet. You just have to know how much to use. Sometimes I slip up and that is one flaw of this product. You can't really blame the product however if you don't know how to use it properly. I guess that is the difference between a good hair day and a bad hair day. Nromally when I'm using this though it's a good hair day. I get compliments on how my hair smells when I am wearing Dove Ultra Hold hair spray. I would recommend this hair spray to anyone. I don't think that I could ever buy any other brand of hairspray!
...
