OMG i loved this shampoo! It did not dry out your hair, but did not make it excessivly greasy also. The price is really good considering that it lasted twice as long as my normal shampoo. I blow dry my hair on the heated setting (which normally makes it frizzy) and there were no fly aways! It also, made my hair ALOT brighter and softer to the...

I bought the Conair Instant Heat ION Hot Rollers on a clearance table at CVS and I absolutely love them! They get very very very hot so you need to watch out! They do not slip very easily and I have very long hair, so I was immediately impressed with that! They are rather tight so putting them on little girls can be a little dangerous, especially if they have tender heads. I can handle a little tug everynow and then, but its also probably because of the weight of my hair dragging it down! I love this product, I love the price that I got this product at. I would totally recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good set of curlers....

LoveisJoy says "Avon Detangling Comb Freed My Wet Hair From Tangles" about Avon Advance Techniques Detangling Comb

This product from Avon is one of those simple things in life that I just can't live without. I know that combs are a dime a dozen, but the Advance Techniques Detangling Comb works so well for me on tangled hair that I can't imagine ever buying another brand. The detangling comb retails for $4.99, but I caught a sale and got mine for 99 cents. I have medium-to-thin, shoulder-length hair and it does get tangled when wet. I used to use a regular styling comb and detangler spritz to gently coax the tangles out. However, now I only need the Avon Detangling Comb and I'm tangle-free in no time and with no hair breakage. — The wide-spaced teeth of the comb are also curved to separate strands easily. I start from the bottom of my hair and work my way up. The comb is made of a sturdy plastic that fits nicely in my hand and gets the job done without hand or wrist fatigue. Because the comb's teeth are so wide spaced and curved I imagine...

LoveisJoy says "Olive Oil-Based Moisturizer is Too Heavy for my Hair" about Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Hair Moisturizing Lotion

Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion by Organic Root Stimulator has a lot of qualities to recommend it - not the least of which is its impressive title. This hair care product can be found in the Ethnic Hair care aisle of the drugstore (which is where I found mine). The bottle claims that the leave-in hair lotion "protects, conditions and restores moisture to dry, thirsty hair." I opened the cap just to get a sniff and really liked the light, fresh fragrance. I thought it might be good to guard against split ends, so I bought a bottle for about five dollars. Organic Root Stimulator is not kidding when they use the word "rich" to describe their olive oil moisturizing lotion. It was so packed with olive oil that even after I shook the bottle vigorously to mix it well, I still ended up with a glob of lotion and unmixed oil dribbling into my palm. Still, I rubbed my hands together and applied the lotion to the bottom half of my hair, concentrating on the...

I purchase Matrix products all the time from the professional beauty salons because of how its shampoo and conditioneers manage not only my hair but my entire family's hair. With a family of now seven because of the new twin boys, every cent counts, so when I saw that Suave had a new product out that claimed to compete with the Matrix product I fiugured it was worth the price to try it. I should have just tried one product (ex. shampoo or conditioner). I was not only very disappointed. Even though the money I spent for all of the products was equal to one Matrix product, I would have been better off getting one Matrix shampoo or conditioner. Suave did not manage my hair like Matrix, and now I am out 10 + dollars. We will be using it on the dog and sticking with Matrix. Nice try Suave, but stick with what you...

I have waged a battle with my curly hair for many years. I love the look and feel of straight hair and have spent more than the $4.00 the Frizz Ease serum cost, to get my hair straight and keep it that way. Although the bottle is small, a few drops are enough to help keep my hair straight, even on recent monsoon season days when the humidity was higher than what I'm normally accustomed to. It also worked surprisingly well when I left my hair wet and let it dry to its natural curl. One drawback to this however, was that my hair got frizzy towards the end of the day and my curls lost their boingyness. Also, I had to make sure I put it on wet hair, if my hair was damp or dry, I had a major greasy look, and it did not go on evenly. ...

Aussie Dual Personality Root Cleanser + Tip Mender Shampoo delivers exactly what it promises! — — I make no secret of being totally troubled by my hair. If I go even one day without washing it, I wake up with greasy roots, which is disgusting. I picked this up at the store a couple of weeks ago because of the funny packaging (something like "Greasy roots? Frizzy ends? Bad credit? No problem!") but had no idea it would actually work! — — I used it on a Monday and woke up Tuesday with no grease and no frizz. It truly is a miracle with my hair. I will never go back to another. It might be a little more expensive than other brands, but other brands will not do the same thing....

china-cat84 says "A round brush, blow dryer, and straightener in one!" about Conair Conair Infinit Hair Designer Stick

My hair is extremely thick and heavy. It also has a slight wave to it. If I don't blow dry my hair with a round brush, I end up with lifeless, limp hair - especially if it's hot outside or if there's any hint of humidity in the air. My hair is also about chin-length, so it's not like I can just pull my hair up in a pony tail. If my hair goes limp, there's nothing I can really do about it. — My hair routine used to take about 30 mins because I had to use both the dryer and the round brush. It took so long! This little gadget cuts my time in half. And if I bundle my hair up in a towel and let it sit that way for about 10 mins, it's even faster. It also gives my hair INCREDIBLE body and volume. It's SO easy to use too. Kind of like a comb or a brush...or even a flat iron. You just section out a section of hair and slowly "brush" (underneath the section to slightly curl it under or over top of the section to flip it up) the hair. You only have...

My mom used to say I had a CVS in my closet because of all the products I bought. I would say 95% of them were for my hair! I finally found the John Frieda collection and the Frizz-Ease product. It really does work great for thick and frizzy hair and adds a glossy finish without being greasy. If you don't have thick hair I think it may make your hair a little heavy.

Pros - No frizz, good curls, long lasting, DELICIOUS smell, can be used on naturally straight hair too, only $3-4, easy/low maintenance — Cons (not many!) - kinda crunchy (as hairsprays tend to be) — — Possibly the only way I can come close to describing my hair is by letting you in on my childhood nickname -- Medusa. My mom would comb my little blond bob to perfection, only to have the back flair up in what can only be compared to a giant rat's nest. My hair has darkened, but the rat's nest has not gone away. — — I was "blessed" with--as everyone else sees it--lots and lots of wavy Irish hair. The way I see it tends to lean more towards annoying, frizzy, and confused. When I let it dry naturally (I am extremely lazy when it comes to getting ready), it generally tends towards the curlier side (especially in the back.. Medusa returns), but the frizzy, kind of awkwardly straight comes out a bit too. As I said, annoying. — — SPRUNCH HAS SOLVED...

I wanted a temporary fix to cover a few gray strands, and I heard about FanciFull Touch Up Stick. I wasn't sure if it would work for my situation, but it only cost a few bucks and it was only temporary anyway. I decided it was worth a try. Out of the package, the Fanci Full Touch Up Stick resembles a short, stubby crayon. To apply, I dampened the stick with water, and after a minute or so began to color my gray strands. On the plus side, the color did take and stayed put until I washed it out. On the negative side, the color (medium brown) didn't look at all natural. In addition, it was harder to apply the color down a longer strand than it would be if you just stuck to coloring the roots. The crayon tended to dry up and the results ended up looking a little splotchy. I don't know if hair texture has anything to do with the results, but my results were so-so at best. It wasn't really the solution I was looking for and I...
