KelseyBook says "Still haven't found that special one..." about Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara and Lash Blast

I've been searching high and low for the best mascara I can find. Each one claims "this gives you longer lashes" or "fuller" lashes or adds extra "natural curl." I have, in fact, come across a few mascaras that have done the trick when I was younger, but I don't remember which ones they were, so I have been on a mission for the last few years trying all sorts of new mascaras -- this time I tried LashBlast. I have to say, I was disappointed here only because I had really high hopes -- not because it's a bad mascara. It definitely was a good, working mascara that was easy for everyday use. And I can't say that it clumped any more than usual. But I didn't feel like it completely held up to the promises made on the packaging, and thought that the newest CoverGirl product would be better than this one. However, I have tried more expensive brands that have performed worse than this one. It's worth giving a try, but it wasn't any more special than usual according to my experience....
...

Celestejean says "Tends to get on eyelids and clumpy" about Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

I bought this because I've heard good things about it from a couple people.... but let me tell you I heard wrong. Very wrong. This mascara is pretty bad! Its clumpy, pulls out eyelashes, makes eyelash roots hurt, gets all over when applying (ruins my eyeshadow sometimes), and its pretty watery compared to other mascaras. Its not worth the money!

I recommend either bad gal lash by benefit (my all time favorite mascara, i NEVER have problems with it and theres no clumping and makes eyelashes look AMAZING) or neutrogena's weightless volume! It also works pretty good!
...

AngelaWLaFon says "Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen: It STAYS so apply carefully!" about Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen

I guess when you've been wearing make up for two decades you go through phases. Black liquid eye liner, often applied with something that looked like a tiny paint brush was popular in the eighties. I was turned off for two reasons. A) So many people OVER did it. B) I didn't seem to have the coordination to apply it correctly.

Maybe I have a steadier hand now. Maybe I am just no longer in a rush. Likely, it is the improvement in the applicator that makes this liquid eyeliner a success for me.

I am not an everyday eye liner wearer. In my makeup bag, I have one Revlon eyeliner pencil, one Mary Kay eyeliner and one Clinique eyeliner. This seems like over kill but they are all different colors with different features but what none if them were was BOLD. A few months ago we were headed out for big time celebration with many friends old and new. A new dress and a babysitter and this mama wanted something a little more dramatic for the evening. ...
...

this2shallpass19 says "Nothing special about L'Oreal's Eye Shadow Eva's Violets." about L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow - Eva's Violets

I bought L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow in the color scheme: Smokey Eyes and loved it, so I took a chance on L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow in the shade Eva's Violets. Unfortunately, this eye shadow quad is nothing like the great Smokey Eyes quad, so I am stuck with some mediocre eye shadow.

The title of the color scheme, Eva's Violets, is named after Eva Longoria who endorses this brand of make-up. Apparently, these are the colors that she wears - good luck to her! I am so disappointed in this eye shadow.

L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Eva's Violets is an eye shadow quad that contains a purple/violet color scheme. It includes a matte dark purple, matte white, matte pink and a frosty lavender color. The only color I like in this set is the frosty lavender. The other three colors which are matte, are poor-quality. You can't even see them on your skin. I have fair skin and I have to use several applications of the matte colors just to be able to see them. I do...
...

TallgirlWithGuitar says "Nothing, NOTHING, works like this." about Kiss Me Mascara Black

One day, I got to thinking: Now that I'm in the market for mascara, what do I really, really want it to do for me? This was a switch from other times, when I just find myself confronting a wall full of blister packs, wondering, "Of THESE, which do I want?" This time, I just started by imagining what my eyelashes would look like at their prettiest. They're already pretty long and thick, but without mascara no one can tell, because they're also pale and stick-straight.

I hate fuzzy, kinky tarantula lashes, so any mascara with fibers was out. Ditto the waterproof ones because they always left a residue, no matter how thoroughly I tried to get them off. But not-waterproof wasn't an option either, since I do tear from allergies and cold wind. But what I really, really wanted were eyelashes that were long, curved, black and vinyl-shiny.

So I Googled, and stumbled upon Kiss Me mascara. They promised long, shiny lashes, but the reason I took their promise than some offered by other...
...

queenbbeee says "Cover Girl Lash Blast is my HG Mascara." about Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara and Lash Blast

This is my HG (Holy Grail) Mascara. I have tried many others thinking that a mascara this inexpensive could never compete with the "high end" brands. Well, I was wrong. The only thing I accomplished was wasting a bunch of time and money.

So, I am now back to my Cover Girl Lash Blast in Very Black. Very true dark black color, nice fat brush that really coats each lash making them appear longer, fatter, thicker, and volumptuous. I have had no flaking, no smearing, no spider lashes and have had nothing but compliments whenever I wear it.

The only problrm I have is that since the brush is so big and fat, I have a hard time reaching the smaller inner lashes without getting product on my skin. This is not a real problem b/c I have found a solution. Put a business card and put it between the lashes and the skin, problem sovled.
...

I had really high expectations for this mascara. Having heard some really great reviews, i decided to try it out. It does make lashes appear fuller and longer, has a very rich black color, which I love, and the brush is fat and amazing. The problem is that the formula has these tubes in it that stick to your lashes, this is what gives you the volume. Unfortunately, this is what I don't like, these tubes make my lashes look spidery and fake. The worse part is that the tubes fall off on my cheek and get in my eyes when trying to remove my makeup. I know that others really like this mascara so this is just my experience.
...

I have always wished that I could have long lushious lashes! I am so happy to have found Latisse! I do have very blonde hair and my eyelashes did not get any darker from it.

I first noticed a difference in my lashes after about three weeks of use and after about 3 months there was a great difference. It is expensive but well worth the cost.

I did not notice any of the iris darkening that is a reported side effect of using this product. I have blue eyes so of course I read up on this before I started using it. It turns out that in the clinical studies for Latisse no one had their eyes turn brown. Lumigan is the original product that active ingredient bitromast is in. Lumigan is for glaucoma and the patients were putting the drops directly in the eye for long periods of time. Lumigan is 95% stronger than Latisse.

I read the study on www.Pubmed.com for Lumigan and it was reported that only persons with hazel eyes experienced an eye change after dropping it directly into the eye. Also, not...
...

I really like this mascara. I had been using Maybelline Full and Soft Mascara for years. I kept trying other products but I kept going back the Full and Soft until I discovered The Colossal Mascara. It really packs a punch!

The look it creates is definitely dramatic! I had a difficult time finding it in brown as black can be overwhelm for my pale skin in the daytime. Found it at Rite Aid!

Also the little wiper that makes sure too much mascara doesn't come out of the tube onto your brush wouldn't stay in on the first tube that I bought. I have not had a problem since then.

I have sensitive eyes. A lot of mascaras make my eyes water. Maybelline mascaras do not make them water at all. I loved Clinique's thickening mascara but after I would put it on, my eyes would run and mess up all of that work that I just did on my eyes.

I am so glad that I discovered The Colossal! I just stocked up yesterday on two new tubes!
...

Maybelline Intense Volume XXL mascara is a mascara that comes double sided, one side is white and volumizes and lengthens your lashes, while the other side, the black side gives you the black color you want. Maybelline is one of my favorite brands of makeup on the market, but this mascara just doesn't cut it. It clumps up really bad and the white doesn't get completely covered by the black. So, I have reverted to only using the black side of the mascara. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing this mascara again and I am waiting eagerly until the day it runs out. The only semi-good thing about this Maybelline mascara is that it really does lengthen and volumize your lashes. I do not recommend going out and spending around $6.00 on this mascara. I would recommend going with another Maybelline mascara called Maybelline Great Lash. It works wonders! So, in conclusion I would not recommend buying Maybelline Intense Volume XXL mascara .
...

Very early in my life, I discovered that nature had provided me with very little "natural" amenities and I was forced to uncover artificial means to rectify these horrifying deficiencies. Once such glaring example would be my absolute lack of long, luxurious eyelashes. In my teens, I suffered from the "Maybeline Big Lash" syndrome which, while appropriately lengthening my lashes, created quite an unappealing look a la Tammy Faye Bakker. Following this period, I happened upon the L'oreal Voluminous Mascara product that has since become my anchor. Never quite being content, however, with what I thought was "settling" - after all, advertisements would claim that this or that product would provide longer, more luxurious lashes - I thought I'd try others that could potentially entice me away from my old friend, L'oreal. I've tried them all, even the ones that cost much more than a measly Hamilton. Quite frankly, their claims are balderdash. I can now say that the ONLY mascara one...
...

Avon Glimmersticks eyeliner is without a doubt the best eyeliner I have ever used - and trust me I have used A LOT of eyeliner brands in the past. The ease of application, the colors, and the longevity are what make this a five star product! The price is also very reasonable, on the Avon website, look for when this product is on sale and you can get it for a very low and very reasonable price of usually less than two dollars, which really makes this makeup a steal.

Pros:

-Great colors - there are so many colors to choose from. I have them in black, blue, green, pink (which does not show up very good against my blue eyes and medium colored skin), purple (which I think they discountinued but it really made my eyes pop) and brown.

I recommend the black, blue, green and purple - they all make your eyes standout.

-Longevity - these eyeliners last a long time both in the tube and staying put on your eyes throughout the day.

I've been using Clinique Take The Day Off eye makeup remover for over 4 years now and must say it is the most gentle one I've used and always reach for. I have gotten a little bit of product in my eyes on two occasions and did not feel any stinging or irritation. Not that I suggest getting it in your eyes! I find a bit of tissue paper or a q-tip applicator works well in applying the product. I notice it works best with my eyeshadow and eyeliner. Mascara I don't like to remove in this method since it seems to take many passes no matter which type of eye makeup remover you use. For mascara I recommend removing in the shower with just some warm water to dissolve, working slowly to avoid getting the makeup into your eyes.

Another great thing about Take The Day Off is how long this bottle lasts. I have been using the same one for many months and find a little bit goes a long way. It will remain a staple on my beauty dresser for a long time!
...

While I love having a clean and refreshed face after a long day of wearing makeup, I am so lazy when it comes to taking it off! I love how I can pull out one of these cleansing clothes and the makeup comes off so easily, without me having to press hard or leave any redness on my face. I tend to have a bit of sensitive skin at time so I am happy to report these Biore cleansing cloths do not irritate my skin.

The texture to the cloth is great for trapping the dirt or makeup on your face and you can easily see how much comes off even with just a couple of quick swipes. I really like the scent of these and how they do not leave an oily residue on my face after using. You may want to do a splash of water on the face after using to be sure all of it is removed. Otherwise, I find these clothes to be a lifesaver, especially when you come home tired and don't want to spend a lot of time removing your makeup before bed! A+++ Biore and keep this one on the shelves!
...

Neutrogena has been a well known and trusted name for quite a few years. I have always used thier skin care products, but this was my first cosmetics purchase.

I found the Neutrogen a Last Tint to be reasonably priced at around $8.99. Neutrogena distributes coupons in the All You Magazine available at Wal-Mart for $3.00 off, which brings the price to a very affordable $5.99.

The packaging of this product is attractive. The application brush was not menacingly large and made application of the tint easy.

The product did not feel heavy on my lashes at all, nor did I experience any flaking of the product. It also stayed put all day. It is non irritating. This last tint is not waterproof.

The customer service line is very polite and helpful should you have a question, comment or problem with your product.

heralciness says "Must-have! Great pigmentation, versatile, blendable shades." about Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box

This box, which comes in a lovely velvet/metal mesh case, contains 9 of Urban Decay's Deluxe shadows, 2 shadow wands, a mini Primer Potion, and a very useful mirror under the lid. At what I believe is $36, it's also a significant savings over each product individually.

Each shade can be used by anyone, no matter how daring or plain they prefer their eye makeup to look. There are some especially stunning brights in the box, which are gorgeous on their own or mixed with the more neutral shades. While these brighter shades drew me to the set initially, I've actually found the most use out of Scratch (a shimmery pale pink), Honey (shimmery golden yellow), and Zero (smoky black - great for use as shadow or as an eyebrow powder).

The included primer potion is excellent, but really not even necessary since the deluxe shadows alone are very bright and long-wearing (although it does add some extra oomph). I do recommend the product though - I often use it with other brands of shadow, as well as...
...

heralciness says "Love and would recommend, even if it could be improved." about MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow (Young Punk)

I do love this limited edition shadow from the Style Black collection, but the formula could be improved a bit (the black itself isn't that unique, and the glitter has a tendency to sprinkle down the face even with multiple primers in use). Nevertheless, it is beautiful and versatile.

This shadow can be applied bare/dry for a sheer layer, wet and/or with a shadow primer (such as Urban Decay Primer Potion) for a slightly bolder and longer-lasting look, or my personal pick: shadow primer plus a product such as MAC Greasestick (or my budget dupe find: Jordana's $2 twist-up eyeliner) for super pop and staying power.

The base of this product is a buildable smoky black eyeshadow, which isn't that unique in itself, but is thoroughly mixed with a fine and unusual mauveish-purplish glitter.

Can be used by nearly anyone - while great for rockers and those after a similarly bold look, can also be used to create a subtle and lovely depth for those into a more demure appearance.
...

nellslilzer says "Nice natural look for a non make up wearer" about CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara

Well all my life i was against make up because I don't think I personally look good in it but at teh same time all my life I had people suggest I use mascara since I dont have long eye lashes, I like to call them stubs! anyways, for several years i've been leery about it but one day I had a coupon for 1.00 off and I thought I'd take a big risk and try it out and I bought it when I saw it on sale as well, I ended up with it for $5.00 an that seemed decent to me so I tried it out and was absoluetly impressed! I think its a good deal and it made me look like I had naturally longer eyelashes without looking like i had black surrounding my eyes and I poked my eye once whcih caused tears and leakage but I was such a beginner I thought nothing of it I had gotten compliments on it and I really think i would buy it again and again ...it does not clump or anything I had feared so definately give it a go!
...

lovemcdreamy says "Best mascara ever" about Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara

This mascara has got to the best one that I have tried. First of all, the packaging is great and sleek but its small enough to carry around in your purse unlike some other mascaras. The brush is shaped differently so that your lashes get the right amount of mascara on them. It really doesn't clump. A lot of mascara's claim that they don't clump but this one really doesn't. I also don't have very curly lashes. And when I used this mascara my lashes are so much curlier than they ever were using any other mascara (I do use a lash curler though). The tube will last you a really long time. I don't even know how long that I've had this one. Even the small samples have a good amount of mascara and will last you for awhile. It doesn't flake off during the day and it comes off easily at night when you wash your face just with soap and water. I definitely recommend this mascara to any girl who is looking for the perfect mascara. This one is it!
...
