When I had my first girl, my husband and I were on a tight budget. So we were really looking forward to the baby shower. I had asked for mainly diapers as gifts, as I had herd lots of stories on how many diapers a new born goes through. I ended up with lots of Target brand diapers as well as other brands. When that day finally came I used the new born size and they worked just as well as the pampers did. We stopped using the Target brand ones when we ran out and went on Luvs as she got older. My shock came when they opened a new Target by our home and I bought the diapers now size 3. I remember how good they worked for my new born. Well this time its a diffrent story. They ended up leaking everywhere! I would be out with her and all of a sudden, she would be soaked. I had to end up changing her after every time she went. I only kept using them because i had bought the box instead of a bag. The way I see it is that the Target brand diapers only worked so well on my new born because you change...
...

In the hospital where I delivered they only used Pampers Swaddlers, and they also always said "Pamper" instead of diaper (eg. "Here, let me change his Pamper for you, you rest," "Oh, you can put his Pamper back on now, I'm done checking his pulse," etc), so I'm guessing that they rely pretty heavily on them and have for some time. When the sides of his backside broke out in a rash that did not go away with Desitin, the hospital actually had Swaddlers Sensitives in reserve for me to use. I didn't use anything but those until he had to go into size 3s, which was a shame because his butt broke out again when I switched to Pampers Baby Dry, which are great for stopping leaks, but now that the weather had turned cold again my son's heiney is getting that rash again. I may be forced to switch to Huggie's Pure and Natural, which I have been told are comparable to the Swaddlers Sensitive, but come in bigger sizes.
...

I'm a single mom here with not much money. But I do like to try and give my daughter the BEST. My daughter is now 2. We have tried every brand of Diapers out there. I found luvs to be the cheapest and also the best. The taps stay in place- and make it hard for my daughter to rip her diaper off. They HOLD a lot of pee pee for those over nights and they don't even leak even runny poo. yes discusting but we are moms arn't we.. Def try these! I have never had any problems I even love there wipes..they aren't to big or 2 thick and smell great....

GrandmaIsGod says "I loved Huggies but my son Loved Pampers What's the Difference?" about Huggies vs. Pampers Huggies vs. Pampers Diapers

When I was raising my kids I must have gone through every disposable diaper I could find and I finally settled on Huggies and the best and most leak resistant. I tried all the store brands and the inexpensive ones from Wal-Mart, Target and such other stores.

However, now with my grandchildren coming my son used Pampers and we have actually gotten into several discussions about the difference in the diapers. He states that they also tried the cheap ones and went through the Pampers, Huggies and Loves.

When my grandson would be with me I would use Huggies and they would use Pampers. We agree that all of the cheaper brands don't work well and that you go through more of them compared to either Huggies or Pampers but we cannot not bring the other around to our point of view.

I guess that it makes it a tie between Huggies and Pampers. I now have to wait till one of my other sons get married and have kids to continue this debate and see what they have to say about the issue. For...
...

Taffypull says "Leaky diapers that are rough on the skin" about CVS Supreme Diapers Size 5 Diapers

CVS was having a sale on their diapers and you could get CVS bucks back if you bought 2 packages and I needed to buy diapers so I decided to give them a try since you were going to get some money back and I'm always looking for a bargian. Plus I usually use the genaric brands.

So I took them home eager to try them out. They worked great the first couple of times I put them on my son but over night was a different story and then after that is was different. We had many leaks and he broke out with a rash.

I tried making sure I was putting the gathers out around the legs and that didn't help and I put rash stuff on and that didn't seem to help either.

Then I noticed the diapers are a little rough to the touch too. So needless to say after trying different things nothing seemed to work to keep them from leaking or anything else.

I decided to try something else and stop using the CVS Brand. I did call the company and they were nice enough to refund my money. So the service was great and the...
...

PaisleyGirl says "My favorite diapers!" about Huggies Natural Fit Diapers

Let me start by saying I love Huggies diapers! I am the mother of an almost 10 month old boy who loves to eat which makes for lots and lots of diapers. When he was 1st born I tried the Pampers newborn because of the cut out for his cord. After I ran out of those I found it was just as easy to just fold the front of the diaper down as it was to position that cut out. Pampers were nice but as he got older I started noticing "things" were creeping up his back. Pampers diapers are similar but without the oh so important elastic band accross the back. Without it my little guy could shoot his poop all the way to his shoulders, and did on several occasions. Now these aren't perfect, but 90% success is better than most. These diapers are not super cheap, but Huggies offers coupons on a regular basis and they are many times in a greater value than Pampers or Luvs. Also if you sign up with them they will mail coupons to your home. You can't get much better than that!
...

yogabba says "disappointing product" about Pampers Cruisers Diapers

My mother always used pampers for her babies, and they were wonderful. Now the product has changed. Pampers cruiser diapers were a big disappointment. The diaper leaked, it came off easily, not by me, but by my baby. Many times I saw her running around naked because the pamers cruisers came off. It also did not hold the pee all night. I would get up at three in the morning to change her diapers, yet she still woke up drenched and with a very wet bed. the gel used to keep the pee inside would explode and be all over the bed and the baby. I was afraid of her getting it in her mouth and choking on it. Although it was snug to her legs, one of the pros, it still did not keep her from leaking pee and taking the diaper off. One of the other pros was the smell. I did like the baby powder smell and it disguised the smell of the urine. All in all, i was NOT impressed with the pamers cruisers diapers, and I send a complaint.
...

this is the only diaper i would use... i wouldnt go spend the extra money on huggies or any other brand name. i have 2 children and both used white cloud diapers until they got potty trained. if i have any other kids in the future white cloud diapers is what i will be buying. i really dont see the point in spending all that extra money on something when they have other products just as good for less. anything a huggie can do white cloud does it just cheaper and when you are on a tight budget you get what you can afford. for the same price you can get double the diapers, who wouldn't want that. my friend used nothing but huggies and i never seen the point, what is so good about huggies that white cloud does not have. with huggies you still have leaks everynow and then but thats daipers. i would rather save money and buy cheaper diapers than buy the most expensive and have the same results.
...

I highly recommend any size of diaper, as long as its a luv brand. My little girl had got a real bad rash on her bottom. It took six weeks for that rash to go away. so I decided to swicth the brand of diaper that i was using with her. I took my baby to see the doctor about her bad rash, her doctor told me that the rash was from the off brand daipers I was using she wanted to switch the diapers so I decided to get a size 3 luvs box of diapers. I am so happy I changed over because luvs diapers really helped my little girls bottom to heal that along with her not wearing anything at bed time. I really am happy that luvs has such great diapers out thier. hats off to you LUVS keep up the good work....

The diapers didn't leak which was even better. I wouldnt' buy another brand. I even suggested that my friends use them on there kids. So far no one is dissapointed in them. My children love the characters on them. and the gifts to grow program that they offer is just awesome. Couldn't as for better quality, in a product. And the price is so reasonable compared ot others like Huggies....

carlamae1981 says "Little ones are the worst..." about Little One's Stage 5 Diapers

Buying diapers gets expensive. In an effort to try to save money, I decided to try Kmart's Little Ones brand diapers while they were on sale one week. BIG MISTAKE. Not only were the diapers of very poor quality, but they gave my son a rash after he wore them for only one day. They are not absorbent. They have NO flexible stretchy tabs ( not on the sides or in the back) and they feel very cheap. The diaper did not stay in place on my son even as an infant, and when he had a bowel movement it actually leaked out. The only positive was a cute design, but who cares about a cute design when there is poop running down your childs leg onto your carpet or bed? I would never reccommend these to even my worst enemy, and I really think that they should consider improving the quality because they are a TOTAL waste of money.

If you are looking to save money, I would suggest saving it on a different brand of diapers, or trying little ones other baby products, like there bath products...
...

I can get pretty good deals when buying diapers combining coupons and sales, but some weeks, diapers just aren't on sale, or I do not have any more coupons. I have always trusted many of Target's other brand name items and have come to expect quality for a better price, but I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the diapers at first. Let's be serious, a diaper is not something that you want to mess around with!!! I did try other brand names and was very disappointed with those, but Target brand diapers have proven to be my number one generic alternative to Huggies (my diaper of choice). The provide excellent leakage protection, have an elastic waistband, and sides, and fit my son very snuggly. The only thing that I would prefer they have is a bit of a softer exterior texture. But the green and blue polka dot design is also very cute!! I would highly recommend these diapers to anyone looking save a bit of money. The Value box runs about $12 compared to Huggies which...
...

Our baby we born premature and the size one diapers that the hospital supplied, were loose and baggy and did not seem to be comfortable. While we were still at the hospital a friend of mine brought us a pack of these and it made all the difference in the world. They actually fit our tiny little bundle of joy. One feature that we really liked about them too was how they dipped down in the front a bit to give her little belly button and cord stump air to dry it out. Also it wasn't rubbing against the cord stump either which must make it a lot more comfortable for a little baby. Huggies have been by far the best diapers that we have used to date. Our little one has never leaked out of a Huggies product, where as with other ones it seemed to be a constant problem. We will no longer purchase other diaper brands anymore, for our daughter or for other children we choose to have in the future.
...

jenny4christ says "The BEST diapers for my baby!" about Pampers Swaddlers

Pampers Swaddlers Diapers are the BEST diapers in the world (at least for my baby)!

I've heard that there is something that might cause a rash on a few babies, but they have Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers for a little bit more money if that is the case. I never experienced this problem.

Anyway, when I was having trouble with blowouts, especially in the car seat, which made for a real mess and sometime very long cleanup, after using Huggies (which many love, I don't), I switched over to Pampers Swaddlers and have been very happy. You can get them for a good price when they are on sale and with a coupon. I also buy the big boxes from Babies R Us with sales and coupons to stock up. They are worth it!

Some store brands are cheaper in price as well as quality, not worth the savings.

An additional benefit of Pampers is their Gifts To Grow Program. You can collect points from their diapers and wipes to get free items! One more reason to choose Pampers.

LUNAAMOR says "Best diapers out there " about Pampers Swaddlers

This are some really awesome diapers, they are very soft and they dont leak at all.

I got this at the hospital were i gave birth to my daughter, and i liked them so much that i just kept buying this product.

I also tried other diapers and some of them were nice but not so good as the swaddlers.

One time i bought the huggies natural ones and they made my daughter. Brake out on a rash I was livid, because this were way more expensive. So i just gave them away to another fellow mom and they did not had any problems with them. Who knows maybe they are not so natural as they proclaim to be.

I went back to pampers as soon as possible.

Also another
feature that i love is the line indicator, it changes color when you baby wets the diaper.

Which it truly helps because sometimes they absorb really good and sometimes they dont feel wet when in reality they are wet.

So i really like this brand and I'm going to stick with them until she grows out of them hopefully the other pampers are as good as this....
...

I have been using Pampers on my son since he was born. They are a little bit pricier than other brands and being a single mother I understand how saving money in any way helps. But anytime I have tried any other brand my son would not only end up with diaper rashes but the diapers wouldn't last either. I am always looking for coupons and pampers usually has good ones. It is worth it just to spend the extra little bit on these diapers and maybe try to save money in other ways. They are much softer than other diapers I have tried and they do not leak like other diapers do. My son is 15 months old and as long as I use pampers he does not get a diaper rash. They are not big and bulky either. They do not fall apart like other diapers I have seen do. They are also cheaper if you go to babies r us and buy the huge value boxes of diapers (you are also allowed to use one babies r us coupon and 2 manufacterer coupns).
...

Hellgirl says "Great for newborn" about Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Newborn Diapers

Pampers Swaddlers are great diapers, especially for newborn babies, I used them for both of my babies and they are great, they feel like cloth, they are very soft and they smell good too, they are pretty absorbent and they don't leak and I think that's great, they are one of the best diapers out there, expensive, but worth paying the price.

It is also great that they have the umbilical cord part cut out, so they won't hurt baby's belly button.

Too bad they only make them until size 2 ( at least I haven't seen them in a bigger size ) but they are still great. Since they smell so good, baby is always smelling good too....

pchef3 says "The perfect "nighttime" diaper!" about Pampers Cruisers Diapers

I have a very active 20-month old son, and I have found that these diapers work very well for him! I never have any problems with leaks or blow-outs with the Pampers Cruisers. I was also looking for a thicker and more absorbent diaper for him to wear at night that the Pampers Baby Dry. The Pampers Cruisers definately hold a lot more and will last your child through the night without getting their pajamas or bedding wet. That makes me feel a lot better knowing that he is dry and not cold! These diapers also are much softer than the other competitors brands, and I feel that it is worth the extra money to pay for that feature, too. I am a couponer, and I have found that just by printing coupons online and signing up to receive them by mail, I can get the Pampers brand just as cheap (if not cheaper!) than the store brands many times. I would encourage you to check this brand out and sign up at pampers.com to receive money-saving coupons!
...
