Ever since I read about how safe Britax seats are, I have had my children in them. The Marathon easy almost fool proof, especially if you are using LATCH to install it. It has always installed extremely tight with no movement. It's a full size seat but not too bulky, fitting even in my brother's small Scion car. I've used Britax for all of my carseat aged/weight children and have bought one for my nephew as well. I have yet to find another brand of seat that surpasses it in safety, comfort and ease of use. It is plush and washes up nicely. The straps have never twisted on me like another brand that we had in the past. I highly recommend this brand of car safety seat.
...

My son loves the Evenflo Titan 5 carseat, he always has. He was in the infant seat until he was 6 months old, at which point he was to big for the infant seat so we had to get him a convertable seat. I loved how cushiony it felt and not hard and that he seemed to have no problem falling asleep in it in the car (which to me is a sign that if they can sleep in it is has to be confortable). I love that it is eas to clean, the seat cover comes of easily and is easy to put back on. I love that it does not have a cheapy look to it and that it is a nice looking seat. I like to get great deals on carseats and I had been looking at this one previously and when I saw it on sale I had to get it. Now my son is 2 and he still loves sitting it, we were going to get him a new seat that would have a higher weight limit but when we were at the store having him sit in the seats he said he wanted to keep his old seat. I will be keeping my son in this seat until he can not be in it any longer. I would definitly...
...

My husband and I got lucky when we had our son. most of our big ticket items were either gifts or reliable hand-me-downs. However, when our son grew too big for his small car seat that had two seperate bases (one in each vehicle) we faced an option. Move the car seat from vehicle to vehicle twice per day because I drop him off at daycare and my husband picks him up; or buy a second car seat. I am all of the following, a mom, a safe mom, a comparison shopper and a thrifty spender. I was looking for something that got great safety rating but wasn't going to break us. I hopped on the web and researched. Consumer reports, buyer reviews, etc. Armed with a list of possibilities, which had been double checked and highlighted, we marched off to Babies R Us, 20% off coupon in hand. A couple of the choices were bulky, a couple were impossible to work the straps and a couple weren't at the store. We tried a few and read all the specifics. We finally chose The Graco ComfortSport. I've been so satisfied....
...

The Britax marathon car seat is the best car seat i have ever purchased.the color is adorable for my daughter.it's purple with yellow flowers.very girly.my 3 year old daughter loves it.everytime we go for a ride she just about falls asleep.that is great for me because if she is cranky i just take her for a ride and everything gets better.she usually falls asleep within the first 15 minutes.I used to have a cheaper evenflo car seat but that was nothing compared to the amazing Britax Marathon.it's alot more pricey compared to the Evenflo but definately worth the money.I feel that it's better to just go ahead and spend a little bit more money and not have a uncomfortable miserbale child sitting in the back seat of your vehicle.it's also great because if your child has any type of accident it's very easy to remove all the material so, you can wash.very easy to put back together.so, I am very pleased with my Britax Marathon Car seat:)
...

i am writing a the highback car seat it is inportant for children up till they are 9 years old to sit in one of these. there are to many drunk drivers and crazy drivers that could kill your young one and that is sad but its true. if your young one is not in one the police will get you and give you a huge fine. if you dont have any money to purchance one there is a program you can get on at the health dpt to get a free one . All you have to do is sit in a class for a hour and listen to the instructor and follow instruction and fill out the application they give you them you can purchance a brand new booster seat . they are really nice and worth the wait. they also have warrenty on them . And they will even give you a paper to mail in if they are any recalls on them you will be the first to know. But seriosly you should think before you put your child in the car without a seat. They could die or you can lose your drivers licence or even go to jail.
...

This was my first car seat, for my first child, so you can about imagine how picky I was. I think I looked at about 100 other car seats before I decided on my Graco. My little guy is out of this infant-style seat now, but we got awesome use out of it. The color/pattern was great, and the cover was easily removable to wash, although we only had to do it once because it repelled anything and everything! It was easy to carry (well, about as easy as carrying 30 extra pounds can be!). This particluar model came as a package with a stroller, which we still absolutely love, and still use, as also with the base. The base was very easy to install, and taking the car seat in and out of the vehicle was a breeze! The seat was not as bulky as other brands of car seats I've seen, and only took up the middle spot in my back seat, so that 2 other people could sit on either side of the seat confortably. Most inportantly, it was very affordable. I believe we only paid $115 for the car seat-stroller-base...
...

The Graco infant car seat is a really adorable car seat for my little girl. I am most interested in this seat beacuse it came with high product reviews. I always look for saftey when purchasing anything for my child. It is very easy to put into the car. It is also rear facing, becuase as you probably know, all infants MUST be in the back seat, NEVER up front, and their car seats must be facing the back of the car !!! This seat is very well made and we feel our child is very, very safe. Also it has a very sturdy handle on it for carring and a place to attach a babies toys or mobile, for your childs entertainment and enjoyment.

I think my child is very comfy in this seat as when ever we put her in it, she falls fast asleep. So my rating on this car seat would be to give it a 4 star because we liked it very, very much and I dont generally give any product a 5 star, Im a bit cautious when it comes to rating products.
...

The Graco convertible car seat and stroller puts every other combination child restraint safely system back in the cave man era. I have found that a child can confound even the most innovative parent when it comes to getting them in and out of the seat quickly and safely, the belts and clips are ingeniously designed to work well, even when the car has been sitting in the parking lot of the mall for an hour and it is over 100 degrees. Greco has thought ahead and realized that children are not exactly always co-operative when being placed in or removed from the very system that is designed to save them from harm. With all of the bottle holders and storage areas on the stroller and seat a parent can actually enjoy taking their precious child not only to the mall, but also on a stroll through the park. With the large wheels designed with adequate breaking in case the area is unlevel makes not only a ride in a car safe, but a ride with Mom or Dad also worry free. The well placed see through...
...

The top clip is not difficult for me to use but my daughter hasn't figured it out yet - which is the way I want it. I've also used it as a booster and I was satisfied with the way the buckle looped through and stayed in place. I also like the strap on the bottom that allows me to add a little slack or tighten it a little. I think that's a really important feature - especially in this season when my kid may be wearing a jacket one day and none the next and also if you use the car seat for different kids that are similar but not exactly the same size. I have another car seat without that and I find that sometimes I can't get it closed because it's too tight and sometimes there's too much slack.
...

This is my second car seat, I bought and returned the Evenflo Triumph, it was too hard to use and almost impossibe to tighten the straps as you are supposed to. The store sales associate talked me into this purchase and I am so happy with the seat. The seat is so easy to install using the latch system. The straps don't get twisted as the did on the Evenflo. The Britax Marathon is made in the USA and exceeds US safety standards. Our little one is so comfortable in this seat as we take many long trips. The pad has an attractive pattern that matches our car and is completely machine washable. I just found out that you can buy additional car seat covers on the Britax website. It would be good to have an extra one on hand in case of a spill or a diaper blow out. We plan on purchasing a second one for our other car. Don't waste your money on anything else go for the best and you'll save yourself so much time and aggravation.
...

I have always used Britax, and only Britax, car seats for my child. He started in a Wizard, moved on to a Marathon and is now in a Boulevard. It is a huge car seat and probably wouldn't fit well in all vehicles. I drive a very large SUV and it fits fine, although my older child does say it makes the seats more narrow for other passengers.

I was in a frontal crash last year and it totaled my vehicle. My child walked away from that accident, as did everyone in the vehicle. The emergency technicians on scene stated that they had never seen such a large seat and commended me for keeping my 6 year old in a 5 point harness.
...

I bought this seat for my 2nd baby after my first grew out of the infant carrier at 5 months. We had to find a convertable seat to use rear facing. It was so big and bulky! The SafeSeat is a little heavier than other seats, but the convience of being able to remove the car seat from the car to not wake the baby, makes up for it. We got one of the first models, and it was difficult to find a stoller that would accept the car seat. By the time my 3rd baby arrived, there was a better selection of stollers that would fit the car seat. I can't believe more car seat companies aren't making a competing model to fit babies up to 30lbs. I found it such a better experience not having to change car seats at 5 months and finding the perfect new car seat at 1 yr when they can face forward. If you are wondering if you should get this seat or one with a cuter pattern, don't wonder anymore! It is a great seat and I don't have one regret with my purchase. It lasted through 2 of my babies and one of my...
...

We purchased the Graco Snugride after doing a lot of research. There are lots of patterns to choose from, and it is very easy to install with or without the base. The extra base was not too expensive so overall, we got one seat and two bases for under $200. We also used the Snap n Go stroller with this carseat which is AWESOME. So easy to use, has a huge basket and is easy to push. I was sad when my son outgrew this car seat because I had to give up the Snap n Go, too. You can get a SnugRide with the travel system but that was too bulky for me. Search around for the pattern you like-there are way more available than what's in the stores. I have only seen one other person with the same pattern as me. We also have the matching Graco Play Yard. The cover for the seat is also washable which is nice. It's easy to install on airplanes as well and we brought it with us many times. Highly recommended!
...

I have a Graco travel system. It is a car seat that can be rear or forward facing and a stroller that the car seat attaches to. The car seat comes with a base that you can strap into your car and leave in the car at all times. The car seat just snaps into the base and is held firmly in place while you drive. You can also purchase additional bases for the car seat so that Grandma and Grandpa can have one in their car too. I highly recommend this. It makes passing baby around very quick and easy. The car seat also snaps out of the car base easily and into the stroller. So you can carry baby from place to place without disturbing them which is especially nice if they're sleeping. The Graco travel system comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns, so anyone can pick one that they will love and will be perfect for their little one. They also come with other features such as time and temperature readings on the handle bar. These are not necessary, but nice features...
...

The chicco Keyfit carseat is a safe carseat that lets a child sit in a rear facing carseat longer than other carseats. It can support a baby till it is up to 30 lbs compared to most carseats which only support till they are 25lbs. Since a child is suppose to rearfacing till it is one years old this is a great feature to have. When i was researching carseats to get the only negative thing about this carseat was that it was heavy, which i agree with, but i can live with a heavy carseat as long as it is safe. I had not heard anything negative about this carseat regarding safety and that is what sold me on it. The carseat is definetly heavier than most carseats, but it is not unbearable. It fits good in almost any car, and if it doesnt fit well with the base you can still you the carseat without a base. On some of the other more expensive carseats you are not able to use them without a base but on this one you can. With this carseat you definetly get your moneys worth.
...

I am a mother of three. Our family has seen our fair share of carseats, and I have to say that the Britax Roundabout was the best seat that I purchased. I wish I had bought a britax for my oldest two children. We used the Britax for our daughter since the day we left the hospital. She used the seat till she was a little under three years old. I am sure we could have used it longer even, but she wanted a booster like her older brother.

This seat was amazing and I was sad to see it go. The cover that came with it (puppy love) was soft and velvety. She loved to be in it, and sometimes fell asleep before we even started the car. She immediately would put her head to the side and rest on the seat. We never needed to buy extra "pillows" to hold her head up because the seat supported her so well and was very cushioned. And even though the material was a velvety thick material, it was never too hot. We lived in Florida at the time of owning this carseat and it is summer there year round for the...
...

I purchased a Cosco Scenera convertable car seat yesterday at my local Walmart store. I have my granddaughter every weekend, and I got tired of borrowing or trading her other car seat back and forth, and decided to get one to keep in my car. I checked several stores, Target, wallmart, babys r us, ect. but ended up with this one for the following reasons;

1. It is cute! I took my 2 year old granddaughter shopping with me, and when she saw this one, she tried to get out of the cart and climb into it! When I tried to look at other ones, she wined and kept trying to get back to this one. The kid liking it may not be the best reason to purchase a car seat, but I assume all the new ones I am looking at are safe and not to difficult to use, so why not get the one she likes. Anyway, she is the one who has to use it, and if she likes it, I have less struggle to get her in it every time we go out.

2. It is affordable. At about $50 it is something I don't have to save up for, and can get it...
...

lilpn79 says "Graco Snug Ride Car Seats are the best I've ever used!" about Graco SnugRide Car Seat

I resently had a baby boy and purchased the Graco Snug Ride car seat from a local Wal-Mart Store for a reasonable price. It came with full instructions. The registration card was inclosed in the box and was very easily filled out. The covers are easily placed onto the seat and so is the overhead cover. If you are using this car seat during the winter time you can use a blanket to cover the overhead and keep the baby warm. This seat also comes with a base and has a small level on the side of the seat that tells you if the seat is level or not.

Snug ride is easy to put in and get out of the car. The five point restraint is easy to use and adjust and easily cleaned in the washing machine along with the head support and the cover. This seat had an easy to carry handle. The handle also adjust to where you can have the car seat stationary on the floor or surface you have it on, never higher than the floor though. Make sure that you adjust the handle all the way back or baby...
...

thepeters2008 says "Its great, it goes in and out of the car in a snap." about Safety 1st Designer Disney Infant Car Seat

Safety First is the way to go.

Safety First is the best car seat I have ever used. The one that I bought a little over a year ago for my second child is still in great shape. I am now using it for my third child. IT is a breeze dissemble, clean and re assemble. This car seat has a cute Winnie the Pooh design with great colors. That could be for a boy or a girl.

l love that it came with a base that you can keep in the car, It really just goes in and comes out in a snap. Also, if you happen to forget the base the car seat will still properly install in the car. This car seat will also just snap right into a shopping cart and stroller.

Overall, Safely First is the brand of car seat I would recommend to everyone that I know. Weather your a first time mom or not were all concerned about our childs safety and well being. SO, if your ever unsure about which brand to use go for the one that says it all in the name, Safety First.
...

marrilion says "The Volvo of car seats-has side wings for impact protection" about Britax Boulevard Car Seat

Am enthusiastic about the Britax Boulevard convertible car seat, and give it excellent rating overall l. The standout feature here is the safety wings with EPS designed to provide additional protection in a side-impact collision. This feature adds safety but blocks the child's view somewhat. If you're considering the Boulevard, it might be a good idea to see how your particular child reacts to it first. The Britax Boulevard also has extra-high weight limit. While most convertible car seats -- including the popular Graco ComfortSport are only rated for kids who weigh less than 40 pounds, the Boulevard can accommodate children weighing as much as 65 pounds in a five-point harness. The Boulevard is bulky, though.

BASIC FEATURES AND MORE
The purpose of a basic carseat is to protect infants and toddlers who are too small to be restrained by the built-in seatbelts adults can use. More advanced seats like the Britax Boulevard offer:

5 point harness - Not all seats have this, though more...

...
