Mrs-April says "You only get sleep when your baby gets sleep." about Fisher Price Rain Forest Baby Swing

I tried everything to get my baby to sleep. I read a sleep book, and tried to follow a schedule. My little boy had the most difficult time when he was an infant taking his naps. This swing saved my life. I know that the books say not to get your babies used to sleeping in the car-seat or in swings, but that was the only time I got any sleep myself. This swing was very functional, it swings two different directions, has calming music, has a mobile of animals that was entertaining to my little boy, and it plugs into the wall for power. I have used multiple swings and this one was far superior to the others I used. Many swings do not have plug ins and you spend a small fortune using batteries. The only con I can think of with this swing is the fact that it is a little bulky, but I think all swings are and you can't really change that. This is the best swing out there and well worth the extra money you spend.
...

CPogon says "The Fisher-Price Rainforest Open-Top Take along Swing is great!!" about Fisher Price Rainforest Open Top Take-Along Swing

I LOVE this product!!! The Fisher-Price Rainforest Open-Top Takealong Swing works great for me and my family!! I have a very small house and when I found out that I was expecting twins, I was not sure how I was going to fit two swings into my house. But, then someone loaned me their Rainforest Swing and I fell in love!! So, I bought my own! Now, I have two and I use them all the time. The way they curve into a "bucket" shape, is very convenient for very small babies.

Also, if I need to put them away for a little while, if I'm expecting company, they fold up very conveniently and can be tucked away, very easily. The swing also plays music that keeps my babies interested until, hopefully, they're tired enough to fall asleep.

The swing is also VERY easy to clean. My daughter spit up on it one day and I was afraid it would be hard to clean. All I had to do, was undo the velcro in a couple of different places, throw it in the washing machine, and it was like new!!!

I am so glad that I invested...
...

The "Fisher Price Rainforest" swing with mobile was a great swing while we used it. I would say it was shorter lived than some of the other bigger baby items purchased however, we did love having it. We loved that it would swing side-to-side or front- to-back. The different types of music it played were fun depending on whether you want you baby stimulated or soothed. It had a fun mobile that you could turn on above there head which my son like looking at a lot. The swing had quite a few different speed settings also which is great for newborns and up, since the older they get the faster they want to go. I liked that it plugged in so we never worried about the extra cost of batteries and never worried about them running out, however you can put batteries in it for when a plug is un-available or even if the power was out. My only complaint would be even though my son was petite he was very active and wanted to go and do more than just sit and swing so it wasn't used for as long as I was...
...

We loved having the Fisher Price "Rain forest Jumperoo" we actually bought it used off craiglist simply because I didn't know how well my son would like it and I didn't want to make a big purchase and him never use it. But now I would say whether your buying it new or used it is DEFINITELY worth it! My son LOVED the "Rain forest jumperoo" He loved looking at the colors, being able to jump and having the music come on while jumping or just having the music on. The inside seat swivelled like an excersaucer would, so he could play with the toys all around him. And he even liked looking up and the different animals hanging down from the leaves above. He would spend hours in the jumperoo if I would've let him. And now even though its gone through two babies it still looks and works like brand new, its has been very durable even through washing the seat multiple occasions. And its about to go through another baby! It was a great purchase!
...

The Fisher Price Jumperoo is a very colorul jumper that comes with lots of bells and whistles. Not only does it provide great exercise for my five month old, it has other toys and activities that keep him busy when he's not jumping. He loves to play with the beads that can be pushed back and forth and he's just fascinated by the little kangaroo toy on the front. It's also nice that there is a a button that plays music - soon my son will learn the cause and effect of pushing the button plays music.

I bought the toy used for $25 which was a total steal - it's still in great condition and it is nice that the seat can be removed to wash it. The toy was very easy to set up, readjust the height, and I know that it will also be easy to take apart for storage.

I definitely prefer jumpers over exersaucers - I feel that my baby is getting much more exercise. It provides a great place for my son to sit while I am cleaning around the house or we are watching TV with him.

So I received this swing for my first born. I thought it was a beautiful pattern/print. The light green over sage is wonderful for a boy or a girl child. I thought the pattern was also pretty neutral and would go with any home decor. I didn't think that it was very durable. I have 2 children that are very close in age. I didn't use it very often with my first-born but put it away for my next child. When it was time for my next child to use the swing, approximately 20 months had passed, the swing didn't operate like it should. You have to push the button until you reach the speed and then push another button to choose the melody or no melody. It wouldn't swing my second-born very quickly like it did when I had my first-born. I think the power died pretty quickly and I would expect more from the Graco name. I really liked everything else about the swing, I just wish that it would've lasted longer. I love to recycle baby toys and this is an expensive one that I couldn't...
...

Our firstborn slept in this swing for nearly every nap the first several months of her life. She often woulld stare at the mobile and listening to the music until it lulled her to sleep. Knowing that we could turn the swing on and not need to think about winding it up or batteries dying in the middle of a much-needed nap made this a swing a stand-out when we needed to replace a hand-me-down plug-in swing. When she couldn't fall asleep at night, this swing did the trick, rocking her to sleep for hours before we would move her to her crib. Several things about this swing made it convenient -- in addition to being able to plug it in and not have to constantly replace expensive, large batteries, we could easily change the directions that the swing moved -- even when our daughter was in the chair! Many hours were spent watching the mobile and listening to the sounds of the rainforest in our home!
...

Dharmabummer says "We would not have survived the past 3 months without this!!!" about Fisher Price Rainforest Baby Bouncer

This bouncer saved our life! Our son has reflux and would scream for hours after each feeding. We keep him in this bouncer almost 15 hours per day. It helps with his reflux as he is mostly upright. He sleeps in this bouncer every night. It is just about the only place he will sleep peacefully. I just put it by the foot of my bed; I can hear him breathing and we use the seatbelt so I think it is pretty safe. He especially loves the vibrate feature. We put it by the fireplace during the day and he stays warm and comfortable. I wish this bouncer would plug into the wall, but it only runs on batteries. We have used 3 sets of batteries in 3 months. All in all, this is the most used and most valuable baby item we own. We will definitely be keeping this bouncer for the next baby. Last night was the first time I turned on the light attachment. Previously we had it detached; he just didn't notice it until now. My son was absolutely fascinated! I think he especially loves the lights as he is very...
...

My 3-month-old son loves this swing. I like that it swings both sideways and front to back. We mostly use the side to side function as his head tends to tip forward when using the front to back function. My son just started noticing the spinning mobile and mirror. He is fascinated by it. I think it would be even better if it had lights as he is really drawn to anything with lights. This swing will definitely keep him quiet for a few hours. He falls asleep easily in this swing. My only complaints about this swing are that: 1) it doesn't transport very well. While it is easy to fold up, it is bulky and almost didn't fit in the back of my SUV when I brought it home. 2) It was nearly impossible to remove the seat cover for laundering. It is fit on there pretty tight. The swing is pleasant to look at and very soft. We will definitely be keeping it for the next baby. All in all, this swing was a good value. We bought is used off craigslist.
...

Graco Winnie the Pooh Swing is an absolute wonderful swing. I did a lot of research as a first time mom before buying any product my daughter would be using for a while and this one seemed like the most practical for us. It is reasonably priced, by a reputable manufacturer that I trust, and it has all the features that I wanted for my baby. Graco is one of the only brands that I trust when it comes to baby products. When my daughter was transitioned from her bassinet to her crib she would have a hard time falling asleep in her crib and would only sleep in her swing for a while. She is so comfortable in this swing and still loves it to this day. It really is a lifesaver because if not for this swing, I would have never got any kind of rest for months. It also has a wide variety of lullabies and I love the easy open swing. It made it so much easier to get my daughter in and out of. It's just an overall great product!
...

This jumperoo is so cute as it is shaped like a horse. There is galloping sounds and music that can be set to play, play as baby jumps, or completely off. It has stationary four legs so baby is safe jumping. Can not be tipped over. Made from heavy duty plastic and metal legs. This jumperoo can be folded up into half to store or move easily. The colors are very vibrant and there are simple toys to keep baby entertained. The jumperoo can be set to 3 heights to grow with your baby and its simple to adjust. My son loves jumping in this toy and it keeps him entertained for about 10 minutes so I can fold laundry or do dishes. The price is lower then most jumperoos on the market yet built just as sturdy. The dimensions are not bigger then leading ones. I feel Fisher Price has out done themselves yet again on a wonderful made baby item. My only complaint is there could be a feew more toy option on this design.
...

This is not a product I would reccomend for anyone who has a heavier child. At birth, my child was 10 lbs, and just grew like a weed from there. He was too long, and too heavy for this swing by 3 months old. He would barely rock back and forth, and when it did it made an awful creaking noise. Also, while some mother's say that the swing was their "lifesaver", my child did not really like it. He would much rather be put in his baby papasan chair that vibrated than the swing. When a friend's child, who was much lighter was put in the swing, it worked wondefully. The music, material and concept of this swing is great however. It used up batteries like crazy as well. My friend bought one that you could also plug in, which I wish I had invested in. One plus, is that it was very easy to clean and was soft and snuggly for a baby to be cradled in. The music that it played was soft and soothing as well.
...

The swing features a motorized mobile of brightly colored fish, swirling lights, and music which could be activated independantly. The seat cover is removable and washable. There is a removeable tray with toys which provide lots of opportunity for entertainment. The swing is battery operated which allows it to be used outdoors as well as indoors.
...

Both of my kids have used the Fisher Price Flutterbye Baby Swing and loved it!It was the only place they would let me lay them down to sleep. The sound has two levels so it is very peaceful in the house. The swing also swings quietier than any other swing my kids have used. We have had this for over three years and it still works like new. The batteries last for as long as you need them to. We have had these in it for 9 months and they still work great. The bird and other characters on the toy bar keep my baby distracted and he has fun trying to reach and grab them. I haven't had a single problem with this swing and if I was to buy another one would go with the same type. I guess if I did have my son before my daughter I would have gotten one that was more boyish but this was a hand me down and it has worked wonders keeping them both enterained and relaxed enough to take naps in it while I am getting things done.
...

I had originally bought the Graco 6-speed swing, but unfortunately, the motor burned out on it after only two months of use. But that's fine, because it gave me an excuse to go buy the Baby Papasan Cradle Swing!

Things I love about this swing are:
1) The motor is EXTREMELY quiet. As mentioned previously, I had the Graco 6-speed swing, and the "clunk click clunk click" noise it made was unnerving. The Papasan Swing motor is so quiet that I can barely hear that it's even on!
2) The mobile is soooo cute! Not only does the whole thing rotate, but each individual leaf and bird/bug actually moves, too! The leaves flap up and down, and the bird/bugs rotate and spin, as if they are actually flying! My baby coos at the mobile, and I think she likes the shiny mirror on the underside of the mobile.
3) The seat seems like it is very comfortable for my baby. I call it the "Celeste Nest" because it looks so comfy and soft! It is nice and big and has plenty of room for her to spread out in it when she falls...
...

My mom bought us the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders swing as a shower gift. It was not the swing I had registered for, but we loved it. We had registered for a pretty swing that would blend in better with our living room, but now I realize that would not have been very interesting for baby.

My baby loved to swing side-to-side. I could put him in this swing at naptime, and he would fall asleep on his own and sleep for 2 hours! This is a blessing with an infant! He never learned to like swinging front to back. The light up aquarium was interesting enough to calm him those nights when we couldn't get him back to sleep. During the day, he liked to watch the fish rotate.

Pros:

Easy to adjust (lay down, sit up, swing direction)

Easy to clean

Great white noise option (we preferred over music)

Continues to swing until turned off

Lights up option at night

Swings side-to-side

Cons:

Battery operated.
...

renangel25 says "Must have for all babies!" about Fisher Price My Little Lamb Motions Swing

I received this as a gift for my baby shower because it was on my registry. I picked it out due to all the great reviews. We havee had this swim for 6 months. My son absoultly loves it. He love sitting in it staring at himself in the mirror mobile. This gives me time to get myself together or a little down time. This swing has benn a life saver. From the first time I put him in it. He loves being rocked to sleep. The side to side swinging motion puts him right to sleep. I was truly amazed. I,ve used this swing so much, its been beyond a life saver. The fabric is so soft, cuddly, and it cradles the baby perfectly. The pillow is soft as well. Not to mention, completely detachable, machine washable, and dryer safe. Thank goodness!!!! The draw back is this swing is a little loud at first. I noticed that is becomes quieter the more you use it. Batteries last about two to three week when using it daily. The only thing is I wish the swing plugged in.
...

jrzygrl1111 says "Great swing for the price!" about Fisher Price Swing N Glide

I searched multiple websites looking for the perfect swing for my son.. I needed something that would be comfortable for him and at the same time something easy for me to use. This swing was perfect. This swing can either swing or glide, my son LOVED the gliding motion. I have to say that the swinging motion was very fast, even on the low setting, but that decreased as my son gained weight. The one feature that I absolutely loved was that it can either be plugged into an electrical outlet or use batteries. Which is great when you want your little one to keep sleeping and the batteries die! This swing has a cute design that can either be for a girl or a boy and is easibly washable. This swing is big. I lived in an apartment at the time and it did take up quite a bit of room, but it's doable for the little time that they use it. I also thought that this swing was great because of the price. I mean there are comparable swings out there for at-least $50 more. Overall, I would definitly recommend...
...

Taterbug08 says "good for a while" about Graco Graco Classic Pooh Compact Swing - Let's Fly a Kite

we got this graco clasic pooh swing for our nephew who lives in our house with his parents. the legs do seem to be unstable when assembled, as it swings, the entire swing will rock uneasily. It is more stable on carpet than our hardwood floor. The motor is not really quiet. It has a knocking noise as it swings which is very noticeable however he seemed to like the noise. At the slower speeds, it is not very comforting to the baby. We have to keep the swing at medium to high for him to even enjoy it. however this said, the baby is in the swing at least two times a day and seems to want to be in it more. i would probably not buy this again but if you get as a gift it would be worth it. this swing has nice neutral colors, a very cute print and it comes with two toys. also, the graco classic pooh swing is easy to use, easy to adjust easy to clean and easy to assemble. it took about 15 minutes and i wasnt paying attention to putting it together the whole time.
...
