mom2my4 says "The SweetPeace is innovative and well thought out for baby" about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

This is the most unusual swing - we loved showing off all of its cool features. We purchased this for our fourth child. Our middle two children wanted nothing to do with a traditional swing, so we were a little wary about the price tag ($169) in case the new baby also had her siblings' distaste. However, it really appealed to us on many levels.

First, we had a Graco infant carseat. The Graco SafeSeat infant seat can be used in the base of the SweetPeace...this was great for coming home from the grocery store with a sleeping baby. I put her still sleeping in the carseat right into the frame, turned on the swing, and she stayed asleep so I could actually get my groceries put away. Frozen food stayed frozen! We liked that aspect of the swing. No more rocking the carseat with my foot.

Second, the way you can position the swing is very cool. You can place the swing seat three different ways. Each position mimics the way you would hold your baby when he or she is fussy....
...

My started swinging in this swing when she was four weeks old and it is still going strong! It was easy to put together and the seating is so soft. She falls asleep in it everytime. It's visually appealing also and can be used for a boy or girl. The only thing is that this is battery operated so make sure you buy plenty of quality D size batteries. Being battery operated is not a negative because I read that the plug in electric swings motors burn out quickly. Therefore, Fisher Price opted to design battery operated swings.
...

The Fisher Price Rainforest swing is a very cute swing! It has music, bright colors, and a five speed setting.I myself bought this swing for my two month old son! Me and my fiance were doing a little late baby shoping and came across the Rainforest swing. We had purcahsed a rainforest bouncie seat about a month before and wanted the swing to go along with the bouncie seat.We loved the design on the swing with the cute rainforest animals. We used the swing quite often and our son seemed to like it.At least it kept him clam I should say.As my son got older and his weight and his height began to change me and my fiance noticed that the swing would not rock like it did when our son was smaller. Now as a mom I know that you child will grow out of everything that you buy them. It just felt as if the swing should have been able to hold a little more weight and still should have been able to swing the same! I would have loved to have used the swing a little longer than we were able to.We thought that...
...

The Fisher Price Baby Papasan chair has been a lifesaver for our family. I bought this a little over a week ago for my then 5 week old and we now take it with us wherever we go. My little guy loves sleeping in it. He likes the vibration. I don't think he cares about the music so much one way or the other. It does turn off after 15 min as a battery-saving device, so I turn on the music feature to let me know when it has turned off. If the vibration goes off while he is sleeping, he fusses. It comes with a blanket that attaches which we have not yet used since it is summer and a little stuffed animal that we don't use since our son is so little, so I can't comment on those features, but the chair itself is a fantastic product!
...

The My little lamb swing is one of the best things i have bought fo my baby. What attracted me to this swing was it just looked comfortable, and i liked the idea that the baby can either lay down or sit up. The fabric on the swing is very soft, but it doesnt mae a baby sweat at all. My son sleeps in this swing all night sometimes. The songs on this swing are very soothing, and i like that you cn adjust the volume on the music so that if you don't want to listen to the music you don't have to. I also like being able to switch the position of the swing. With the feature of being able to switch the way the swing swings you are able to make it fit into almost any space. The swing was also very easy to put it together. It had very easy to read directions, but it was also very self explanatory. The My little lamb swing took about fifteen minutes to put together. My baby and I also like the mobile that is on the swing. In the middle there is a mirror, and since most babies LOVE mirrors this...
...

I really loved this Rainforest bouncer. My son played it for a hours at a time until he was big enough to try to climb out. That was the sad part according to the weight limit he could still use it but every time I put him in he tried his best to get out. Ioved while it worked for him to use but when he grew out of it I felt I had spent alot of money for such a short time. Still a great product for parents of a new baby because it not only sings to them but vibrates so the baby tends to fall asleep. Awwww silence!
...

I love the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo. Even though it was kinda pricey I fully believe it was worth it. I went from having a screaming baby because he would get bored with his other toys...to a happy baby because the Rainforest jumpee has several different things to do. If he got bored with one thing he would turn around to a different toy and keep playing. This gave me peace AND peace of mind. No more about to pull my hair out moments. If you don't have one these you need one. I don't think would have survived with out it.
...

We just recently purchased the Precious Planet Cradle and Swing manufactured by Fisher Price. A friend of ours had recommended it when we mentioned how fussy our four month old daughter has been during the day. We ran out and bought it immediately and have really been thrilled with it so far. It's cute and colorful, it has various levels of volume and speed control, it swings in two different directions (side to side and head to toe), it has a motorized mobile, and it plays a variety of music (both soothing and more upbeat tunes) and it also has oceanic sounds. It also has the capability of keeping the child sitting upright or in a reclining position. It was easy to assemble and doesn't take up a huge amount of floor space. Our daughter is instantly soothed when we put her in it. My only wish is that it had a longer life-span as the weight limit is only 22 lbs. I definitely would recommend this product though!
...

We bought this when expecting our first son and loved it. It works great. He fit into it great and has lots of options. Now for the bad news. After the first 2 months or so the padding in the seat was pretty much gone. Meaning and hard surface for our baby to sit on. And by hard I mean it was like putting him right onto a piece of plastic with no padding. We would put a blanket over it to soften it up but it made it hard to buckle in. Also the attachment of the swing to the base is not safe. We noticed after a while the bolt would come loose all on its own! Major safety issue! We always have to retighten. The seat wiggles a lot as well. So if you don't plan on using it for a long time it's great otherwise find something that isn't so expensive and will last longer.
...

stevenk8 says "FP Aquarium swing...baby LUVs it, hard on batteries" about Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing

Battery consumption is pricey...we go through batteries about every week and a half or so...then the motor went after 5 months. There is no recall, and FP knows about it - but they will offer to send you a new motor for $30 - if you want to add another $30 to the already $100+ that you've already spent on it!

Baby loves this swing - it's soothing, quiet, and can swing in 2 directions....Colors are nice, and not gawdy, will not stick out like a sore thumb. THe padding on the infant support is really nice, and it holds up okay in the laundry - although the rest of the padding seems to get "thin" after a few washings! Nice lighting and sounds from the mobile above, puts baby to sleep!

Legs do take up a LOT Of room - before you register or buy - make sure you measure your area before taking it home!
...

A swing is such a valuable toy to have for a parent. Most any mom knows that it is a lifesaver. This swing is very quiet and lulls my little one to sleep. It plays the cutest songs for her and they music will automatically shut off after approx. ten min. It is really worth the price. The theme goes well with the other fisher price toys. The mobile will keep any baby interest for awhile. It has three cute sea animals, a orange and yellow fish, and green sea turtle, and a blue and white whale, all that are which looking down at the smiling baby. The swing had six different speeds which I found that number five works the best. The seat swivels three different positions for when baby is tired of looking one way you can easily switch her perspective view point. Another really great thing about this swing is that it is really easy to collapse and carry around. I found that helpful for when I needed it out of the way. Finally it has three different buttons for three different tunes....
...

This is a must for any baby who doesn't like to nap. Even at 10 months, when we put my son in the Sweetpeace he goes right to sleep. The iPod adapter is fantastic - don't have to listen to the canned music again and again. The variable speeds have been good through the growth of our son - he liked the slower speeds better when he was smaller and has "grown into" the top-level of 6 speeds. The swing is very quiet. My only con is that it takes up a fair amount of room - you need room for it to sit on the floor and then even more room for it to swing in (more than a traditional back-and-forth swing). But well worth devoting the space to it!
...

Before the arrival of my third child, I decided to get a new swing. I wasn't happy with the bulkiness of the swing we had and wanted something smaller. When my sister got the Boppy Rock in Comfort Travel Swing, I was pleased to see all the features that I was looking for. A soft neutral palate, ability to fold and move easily, great music and a fun little toybar. I immediately went searching for a great deal and picked myself up one. I am a huge fan of the Boppy brand and for the most part have loved this swing. My only disappointment is the snap-in toy bar...my two year old was playing with the swing (my baby not anywhere near) and hit the bar with his head and broke it. Wish it could have been constructed a little more sturdy, but I would totally purchase this swing again in a heartbeat.
...

My son & I loved this swing! I loved it because of the fun, happy colors, the wide option of songs & sounds - ranging from soft, to happy & upbeat. It's also great besause it can either swing from side to side or front ot back & I could move the swing to wahtever position I wanted my son to face, The next feature that I loved was the fact that the clothe lining is easy to remove, machine washable & easy to put back on. But the thing that I loved the most was seeing how much my baby enjoyed being in the swing from 1 month of age to nearly 10 months old, and might I add that he became a big baby, but it held him perfectly! He loved the movile with the palm leafs that hid the animals & then showed them, he loved the fun happy songs, the animal sound & I was fascinated when he would relax & fall asleep with the rain & windchime sounds! He was always very squirmy & active, but as soon as I put him in that swing he just had a blast, never got cranky & even caled down & when right to sleep.

BABY SWINGS

One of the best ways to keep baby active and happy is by using baby swings. Today's baby swings keep baby engaged in fun activities, soothing songs and more! And parents like to see baby having such a good time!

Baby swings also give Mom a chance to catch up on her day while feeling sure that baby is entertained and comfortable. Mobiles, lights, and sounds on baby swings stimulate baby's senses, but can also make the perfect environment for naptime. One way the design of baby swings has improved recently is the introduction of portable baby swings. FisheR Price asked moms what they wanted in a swing, and they responded with a request for portability. Fisher Price responded with the aquarium take along swing, which has all the features of full size baby swings, but is lightweight and easily maneuverable, even in a room with limited space. Wouldn’t it be great if baby could enjoy a soothing swing wherever you go? The Open Top Take Along Swing gives you all...
...

the starlight papasan cradle swing by fisher price is an awesome swing that has made it through 2 kids now and always manages to settle them down or put them to sleep. the lightes stars are very nice and i like that you can remove the netting if you need too. i also like that with just the push of a button the swing can change from swinging front to back to side to side or vice versa. the speeds are great but i wish the first speed went a little slower for the newborns becuase i felt that it moved just a little too fast but if you laid a blanket on top or a toy with soem weight on the side, that usually slowed it down enough which gave me more control on the speed. the songs are also nice with a rain forest selection that my kids like the best. the headpiece is also movable so that the seat grows with your child and it also had a toy tray that your child can hold on to to make him or her feel more secure. the only thing i dont like is the slight creeking that it maked sort of like old playground...
...

I am a stay at home mother of three children. My two youngest are 15 months apart and when we went shopping for a swing for my second child which is now 20 months old we looked at a bunch of different ones online and in stores. We finally came across the Fisher Price Smart Stages swing and decided to try it out. My daughter loved the swing and I liked the fact that the swing unlike most of the ones we looked at grows with your child. You can take the seat off of the swing itself and it can be used for a chair or a rocker for toddlers. It is very easy to put together and also really easy to turn from a swing to a chair or rocker. My daughter still uses her Fisher Price Smart Stages swing to this day as a rocking chair. When we had our son which is now 5 months old we also bought him his own Smart Stages swing and he also loves it. Now both kids use their swing all the time my older one likes to use the rocker and my younger one will swing and sit in his chair.
...

We got a swing for our Grandson,Its call the rainforest swing. He loved it and the light and mobile on top was neat,It kept him busy and when the lights are off the night light with it shines out more. And also he like the watch tv when he sitting in it,So when your busy in the house,You can put him in it and that helps you to get things done while he in the swing. It also turns foward and backwards.and also has a mess on the back so he cant reach back there and hurts him self.but you do have to be careful when they star to kick more.Cause one thing i notice when he kicking he hurts his leg where the bottle holder comes down in front of the swing.I reconment you put something there like a blanket to make it softer when he kicking
...

I liked the Snug Glider Car Seat swing mainly because it took the place of having to purchase a separate swing. The bad part is kids outgrow things to quickly. I passed mine off to a friend whom also loves it.One really great thing is you can take it anywhere, i've used it a number of picnic's. One concern that i did have was when kids get bigger you have to watch them more cause my son was huge and he tried to makeit rock and that was pure entertainment for him. If you don't want to purchase a separate swing i say this is the product for you but keep in mind that actual swing to come with lights, sounds and toys which babies love.
...
