RollTideMomma says "Great Organic/Natural Detangler " about California Baby California Baby Calming Hair De-Tangler

I purchased this product at a natural health store in my area. I went on a little splurge and bought this. I must say that the ingredients in this products ARE impressive and for 8.5 oz of organic non-paraben and chemical ladden product is a pretty good steal. This conditioner, I feel is fairly priced. Since it's natural/organic it's more expensive than other leave-in conditioners but is actually fairly inexpensive (if not a comparable price) to other organic/natural product brands. This product is definitely a "you get what you pay for product" and it worked really well on my dd's 3a curls. I wet her hair and sprayed liberally and was able to glide a comb through with ease. It may not work as great as my Equate tear free detangler, but it is natural and works well enough for me to continue buying it.

I recommend...

joisie1978 says "Foam letters are great way to learn and play at same time!" about Munchkin Munchkin Bath Toy Canister

These letters are a great buy! They are so bright and colorful and they stick extremely well to the tub and the walls. My 2 year old son loves playing with them so it makes tub time not only fun but also a great way to integrate learning! Even the 7 year old plays with them!

We can spell out all kinds of fun things on the walls and talk about the colors and letters and numbers. They are very durable though he has bit into a few and the teeth marks are permanent but oh well- they still work! These would be a fantastic gift for anyone, even little ones since they are lightweight and foam.

They do tend to stick together when wet of course so I hang them in a net laundry bag in the shower to dry and keep them all together.

Overall, these are a perfect tub time toy, they don't hurt when your kiddo decides they should be an airplane and they stick very easily to many surfaces. A must have for any tub with children!
...

AngiBowman says "Sounds Great but not really" about Orajel Plaque Revealing Pre-Brush

On the surface, this looks like a great idea. All you have to do is put it on a toothbrush and your child can have a guide for brushing. It sounds like shaving gel while shaving. When it comes to teeth, you can't go wrong with doing a great job.

But here's the reality: it's blue. It stains. It takes forever for your child to wash it out of his mouth. It did absolutely nothing for my son other than ruin a few PJs with a nice big stain. Since my son isn't really tall enough to even reach our mirror, it's even more worthless to our cause!

When it comes to making sure your child brushes his teeth, in the end there's going to be nothing better than just a toothbrush, toothpaste, timer and a parent. This pre-brush is still no excuse to leave a child alone to brush his teeth until he is old enough and proves that he has mastered it.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this product. Just use plain old toothpaste and you'll be able to achieve the same amount of cleanliness without...
...

MRSverret says "Pamper your little one with a massage!" about Johnson's Bedtime Touch Massage Gel

I've alway heard that massaging your baby can relax your baby and help build bonds stronger. Since I've never had a chance to take a baby massage class I picked up Johnson's Bedtime Touch Massage Gel instead.

In a bottle you get 5 fl. oz , the cost is around $4. The gel isn't too thick, I think it's perfect. It glides over your baby's skin. When using it, it releases NaturalCalm essences, a patent-pending blend of gentle and soothing aromas. It doesn't say what the smell is but I can definitely smell lavender and chamomile. This is a smell that would relax anyone. As I looked through the ingredients two of them stood out. This massage gel has hydrogenated castor oil and olive oil. Both of those are suppose to be good for skin and make it soft.

To use just squeeze a small amount into your hand then gently massage your baby. I recommend just finding out what your baby likes. I'm sure they will let you know! My son, as a baby, loved this stuff. I still occasionally give him massages but...
...

SpokaneMan says "The Shampoo Rinse Cup Makes Bath Time Easier." about S.C. Products Shampoo Rinse Cup

We registered for one of the S.C. Products Shampoo Rinse Cups and received one at one of the baby showers. We thought that it would be a neat tool to have to aid us during bath time, and it has been used over and over again with great results. The premise is easy enough, for the shampoo cup to help keep water from going down your baby's face while you are giving them a bath. It provides the perfect results every time, and has even turned into almost a toy for when its bath time.

The shampoo cup is almost used like a bucket, where you fill it up with warm water and set it aside for when you are mid-way through giving your baby a bath. You then use the shampoo cup to wet your baby's hair. On the front of the shampoo cup is a soft rubbery panel that you set against your baby's head, and it allows you to maneuver the cup so that no water is coming down into your baby's face. It works great, and allows you to first wet their hair, and then later on to rinse the shampoo out of...
...

MRSverret says "Didn't work well for me" about KidzKamp Shampoo Rinse Cup

After reading a review on Viewpoints on a similar product I decided to try it out, only to find out the store didn't carry it. So I chose the next best thing and grabbed the KidzKamp Shampoo Rinse Cup for $5.

This cup was made to keep water out of your child(ren)s eyes. It's a hard plastic cup that comes in a variety of colors. There is a large handle and on the front, at the top, is a rubber section. This piece forms to your child's head to form a seal and direct the water toward the back of the head. (see picture 3) It does prevent water from getting into my son's eyes but it doesn't rinse very good.

If you notice the cup has two compartments. I think it's because, while rinsing, when the rubber forms to the head the water goes out the sides of the cup (see picture 4). So they made a second compartment for the water to flow in the center of the head too. The thing is, the higher compartment is too far up. When I fill the bathtub for my son the water level barely enters the top portion....
...

I use Johnson and Johnsons baby shampoo on all three of my childrens hair. And their hair is always so soft. The big test was when my neice came to stay with me, her hair is very tangly and coarse...So, I gave her a bath and used the Johnsons baby shampoo on her hair, and her hair came out so silky smooth when it dried....It was amazing. I will be suggesting that my sister buy this shampoo for my neice from now on. I still have my 10 year old son use Johnson and Johnsons baby shampoo on his hair too...So, we will probably keep using it for a long time.
...

momonabudget says "These ducks are quite cute, but don't tell temperature for long" about Munchkin Safety Bath Ducky

My friends and family threw me a theme based baby shower that was all about ducks. Because of this I received several of the munchkin temperature ducks. I was so happy to get them because they were all in different clothing or were different colors and I knew this would make bathtime with my daughter so much fun. I was right because she loves her duckies and will not take a bath without them. We used them every time we gave our daughter a bath. At first they were great, but after a couple of months, the word HOT on the bottom stopped working. This didn't just happen to one or two, but to all of them at the same time. I would only recommend them as a toy just for the fact that they are so cute, but would never recommend them for temperature accuracy. The best way to test the water (and this is what our doctor told us to do) is to dip your elbow into the bath water before putting your baby into the tub or sink.
...

My daughter has had this Munchkin Bath Toy Set for about 8 months now. I picked it up one day because it was only about $10. I can't remember what store it was that I bought it from but I have seen this set at stores such as Wal-Mart or Target and I have even seen it at grocery stores. The price is about the same price everywhere.

In this set, there are 52 letters which all happen to be lower case. In my opinion, I think this is better because my daughter has learned all her letters already but with them all being lower case, she doesn't get confused when there are upper case and lower case together. She knows all of her letters if she sees them all in uppercase but doesn't know a couple in lower case. If she has a jumble of upper case and lower case together, she gets confused. Also, at least this way, if you need extra letters, you can make extra since they are all lower case. Like the n and the u. They can be used as any letter. It's the same with the b and the q and...
...

We bought these for my son, thinking they would be great for him since his age said he was too young for the bath markers. He did really enjoy taking a bath in different colored water. However, you have to put in 3 or 4 tablets to get a good coloring in the water. Just the recommended 1 or 2 barely even tints the water. Other than that, I think it's a great product. It just gets expensive after a while since there are not many tablets in the package and you need so many of them to actually get the full affect of water coloring.
...

Johnsons Head To Toe Baby Wash

This product is a must have in the bath essentials right from a newborn until the toddler age. It is extreme fun for the baby with no tears and cries while bathing. My baby enjoyed every single day of his bathtime and I could actually feel the difference when a friend recommended another product which I had switched to. But no sonner, I had to get back to Johnsons Head to Toe Baby wash and the happy bathing days were back for my baby!

Johnsons products are always a quality and my baby has never faced any sort of allergies, rashes after using this product. I never even had to use any substitutes like bath toys, etc. to keep him occupied when bathing as he enjoyed just playing in the water adn the foam of the baby wash. Its a great product for the price and also smells very nice long after the bath. I would highly recommend this product to new mums, it lasts longer and very economical!
...

My husband was constantly complaining about my little plastic bin I stored all of the kids' bathtub toys in. It would get in the way and water would fill the bottom creating a nasty gunk. It would also leak onto the floor. When I was out shopping I noticed the Fisher Price Precious Planets Bathtub Corner Caddy. It was only $10 so I figured why not?

The organizer is very cute. It has bright, bold colors and the cartoon style animals are fun to look at. The back is made of plastic and has four nice sized suction cups for maximum hold. The mesh in the front and bottom allows the water to easily drain out. It's really easy to clean and fits in the corner quite nice. It sits on top of the bathtub corner to help with the weight. Plus, it folds in half which is ideal if you are wanting to take it on the go.

I can load of lots of toys in here. I put both of my kids' toys in here. Boats, squirtters, rubber duckies, anything! Now that I bought the Corner Cubby I no longer have to wipe...
...

After using the worst diaper pail with my son, I decided to go with a new diaper pail on the market: the Baby Trend Diaper Champ. It is so easy to use! You just drop the diaper in, turn the handle, and you're done! The best feature about the Diaper Champ is that you don't have to buy special bags every month to refill it. With my previous diaper pail, I was spending a fortune buying specially made refills. With the Diaper Champ, you can use regular kitchen trash bags! I buy the cheapest 13 gallon trash bags I can get, and I buy them in bulk. My daughter is 2 years old, and I'm on my third box of trash bags. Not bad! The Diaper Champ itself was very reasonable in price, only $30 at Babies 'R' Us when I purchased it. I have since purchased two more as gifts for baby showers, and both of the moms I bought them for love it as much as I do! Emptying the Diaper Champ is easy too. The Diaper Champ doesn't smell nearly as bad as other diaper pails. If there is a soiled diaper in it, it sometimes...
...

Johnson and Johnson Baby Bath products are a great buy. I especially like the shampoos and lotions, are they are multipurpose, and can be used by both baby and mother. They are very reasonably priced, and will save money if used by both baby and mother. I like them much better than the other brands available in the market.

The shampoos are great for the baby as they do not hurt his/her eyes. They also come in anti-tangle and perfumed bottles. You do not need a separate conditioner as the shampoo itself gets the job done. The various Johnson lotions are also great and leave baby and mother's skin really smooth. Baby oil and be used for various purposes as well.

These products are in attractive looking packages and do not cost much. You can even buy them in ready wipes or gift baskets.

The Munchkin Safety Bath Ducky is a small rubber duck that has a patented "White Hot" safety disc on the bottom of the duck. The bottom of the rubber duck is normally blue, but when you put the duck in bath water that is too hot, the word HOT should appear in white letters inside the blue disc.

I wouldn't have purchased this myself, but I received it as a gift for my son, so I decided to use it. I always thought that I would be able to tell if water is too hot just by feeling it myself. However, after having my hand under the running water for a while and my other hand be the "tester" for the water, my hands began to lose the feeling of how hot the water might be for my son. I thought this would be a good time to try out the Munchkin Safety Bath Ducky. I put the duck in the bath and the bottom of it stayed blue and did not form the word "HOT" in white letters, so I knew the bath water wasn't too hot.

this2shallpass19 says "Keeps water from getting in your baby's eyes!" about Munchkin Shampoo Rinser

My son doesn't really get bothered by getting water on his face during bath time. Of course, he doesn't like it, but he doesn't cry or fuss either. I still wanted to buy the Munchkin Shampoo Rinser. It was relatively inexpensive, around $5.00, and it looked like it would making rinsing his hair a lot easier.

The Munchkin Shampoo Rinser is a big, plastic jug that has a handle to grip and a soft, rubber outside that conforms to the shape of your baby's head. Simply fill up the Shampoo Rinser with water, press the soft, rubber outside of the rinser to your babies head and the water all goes to the back. It really is a good invention, because the rubber outside of the rinser, molds to your baby's head and that forces the water to go in one direction - the back.

The only complaint I have about this product, is not even Munchkin's fault. This is just one more thing that I need to find space for in my house. Yes it is helpful, but did I really need it or was it an impulse buy? Probably...
...

joscreener says "Keep this in your cupboard for your whole family to use" about Johnson's Soothing Vapor Baby Bath

I love the Johnson & Johnson vapor bath with eucalyptus. I have been using it for years - since it was first introduced, in fact. The whole family loves this gentle, herb-scented bath additive for relief of colds and allergies. I've even given it a senior citizen co-worker who said the scent filled the bathroom and really unstuffed her nose and chest. If anything, she thought it was maybe a little TOO strong. She used an entire ounce in her bath - we use about half of that. In our little town we pay $3.69 for an 9-ounce (?) bottle at the grocery store, but I'm sure a superstore would have a better deal. Another high-quality product from Johnson's....

Johnson's Soothing Vapor Baby Bath

Johnson's website advertises that the Soothing Vapor Baby Bath:

Is allergy and Dermatologist tested

Cleanses, leaving skin clean and fresh

Includes Rosemary, Eucalyptus & Menthol

Help relieve symptoms of a cold

Recommended for ages 3 and up

If your baby has a cold, add 3 capfuls of Johnson's Soothing Vapor Bath into a standard size bathtub. Spread it evenly around and the vapor bath will provide your baby with relief from her cold.

My Viewpoint!
We have used the Johnson's Soothing Vapor Baby Bath many times, only once on our baby girl. Although Johnson's advertises that the Vapor Bath will not irritate baby's skin, it did. My daughter suffers greatly from Eczema and I was crazy to think that the Johnson's Soothing Vapor Bath wouldn't affect her.

The other times we have used this product is on ourselves and it works! I have sat in the bathtub with it and it didn't bother my skin at all and the vapors are soothing. Other times I have just put some in a...
...

lilsquibb says "Tub O' Fun with Infantino Tub O' Toys" about Infantino Tub O' Toys Bath Gift Set

Top on our Christmas Wish list was new bath toys. By the time Z-Man came there were very few bath toys left that were still good and that he could play with. Hi aunt was more than happy to oblige and bought the Infantino Tub O' Toys Bath Gift Set.

O' The Toys

To a baby's delight, the Infantino Tub O' Toys contains a plethora of bath squirt toys, in a handy bath set container (the container is disposable.) The 10 different animals come in three different sizes small, medium and large and are not really from any particular area or theme. Each of the animals is very cute with a characterized smiling face and bright colors. Of course each is made of squeezable plastic.

Large Animals: Polar Bear, Hippo, Elephant, Seal

Medium Animals: Octopus, Whale

Small Animals: Star fish, Fish, Frog, Dolphin

There are 2 factors to me that make up a good squirt toy.... 1) it has to be easy to use for little hands and 2) having minimal molding potential. In this set, the majority of the toys are easy to fill and squirt....
...
