mlh08 says "great videos to stimulate (& occupy) the baby" about Baby Einstein Videos

Loved these videos to keep my baby occupied while I cooked dinner or checked my email. My baby was so captivated by them, and loved every single one (we had the whole set). — — When he was a tiny baby, some of the videos were too stimulating and made him upset, but he grew out of that as he got bigger. — Also, some of the animal pictures scared him (ex. spiders, etc.) and would make him cry. — — As he got older (about a year) he grew out of them and moved on to seseme street which I feel is more educational as it goes over numbers, letter, and has more...

My children loved these moves and would sit there entranced at the images and learning. They are not only fun to watch, but are also educational for them as they get a little older. I bought 17 of these DVD's for them and passed them on to my best friend who now lets her daughter watch them. They really are educational and it is a beautiful sound to hear your children laugh when something funny happens on these...

I got this DVD as a gift for my daughter when she was around 4 or 5 months and I thought she would love it because she loves music but it just could not hold her attention at all. The visuals are a little weird and slow and she really didn't seem to care to look at them most of the time. As a fan of classical music the music (by Mozart) is very pretty but the dvd as a whole was just not a good choice for my daughter. —...

My twin boys were born 13 weeks prematurely, so right from the start I was very focused on their physical and cognitive development. We received our first baby einstein dvd as a gift for their first birthday from a friend. The language nursery. I was AMAZED at how instantly the boys became completely transfixed by the information and activity on the screen. We ended up buying a total of about 8 of the various DVDs in this series and they have LOVED them all. The twins are now 6 and STILL enjoy watching them occassionally! They loved the classical music and I still find them humming some of it to themselves at times. The information they learned from them...especially the Baby Galileo one has stuck with them firmly over the years. I have bought DVDs from this series as baby shower gifts for friends and family and recommend them to anyone I know with children. Now the boys have moved on to the Little Einstein series and LOVE those...

While I am not a parent I have been babysitting practically all my life. In my experience these videos are great. The kids love them and they have great themes. These are not videos to place the child alone with. The whole point of these videos is to interact with your child. And it is so much fun for the baby as well as you. I love them and if you have a child or if you babysit I say get these videos....

Not that tv time is the best but it is a normal part of our lives no a days. I have to admit it and these videos are designed with babies in mind. It is a great way to introduce subjects and colors and basics to babies that you can't explain to since they don'/t get words...it is amazing how much babies can learn and pick up and it is best to know what you are exposing them too. I love pbs kids sprout also for him as he got older but these are great for the baby stage.... now I will comment on noggin too and other channels bc I am opinionated on it, I am mad that they will influence my child so much with commercials.... he pickes up every comercial and they don't need that in their young lives, they will be hit with it soon enough and so videos and a channel like pbs kids sprout which is 24/7 shows for kids is great! even though I have to pay an extra five dollars a month for it , it is so worth...

Amazing, instant attention and incredible for increasing attention span. I see this product as a real learning tool. I really dislike what Disney has done to these programs. By the time you get through the "required drivel" the child is off to other activities. You have to start it 5 minutes before you "really" want to view the program. Wrong, wrong, wrong - Disney you messed with...

Ashley knows her number thur 10, all her shapes and body parts, and is useing 3 word sentences, she even recognizes several written words; like her name, mommy, daddy, and zee. I completely believe that this is due to the fact that we actively watched baby einstein with her from birth...... there were many sleepless nights where baby van gogh was playing in the background. and during tummy time she loved to watch baby galieo..... each time we bring home a new video and she sees that catiepilar she almost comes out of her skin.
