I recieved the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Fun with Friends Musical Table as a gift. It was a great present and my son (now 20 months) still plays with it. This activity table can be used with or without the legs. I used it without the legs until my son was able to stand or was attempting to stand on his own. Then once he was stable i attatched the legs. There are a few different stations on the table. I love the spanish talk that the table provides to allow my child to learn another language.

...

lindsayrocksosu says "Cozy Coupe is hours of fun!" about Little Tikes Cozy Coupe

We bought our Cozy Coupe at a garage sale from a friend who had owned theirs for about 3 years and had gone through 2 children. It was still in excellent condition and worked just fine for my little one!

We have one that doesn't make music, though I hear that they have those out now. Ours is the simple older version that is bright red and yellow, without the eyes on the front. It has the little storage area in the back that my daughter loves to put her toy keys into and anything else she might have in her hands at the time.

The cost is decent, usually about $50 but if you treat it well, it will last for you. Like I said, mine came from a garage sale and it was still in great shape.

One of the negatives is that if you have a crash (our driveway slants downward and our dog pushed it into our mailbox!) then the plastic can break. We have a chunk of plastic pulled off and a bolt is sticking out in the front. Not usually an issue unless you have a really rowdy child and/or...
...

My cousin just had a baby a week ago and I went to Baby's-R-Us to look for a gift. I found Baby's First Pooh Bear. He is about fourteen inches tall. He is very soft and cuddly. He is light weight. On his shirt it says Baby's First Pooh Bear. Later I found out that the baby's room is decorated with Pooh. I knew it was the perfect gift. When you shake him he has something inside of him that makes a sound. This is a great toy for newborn babies because it will sit beautify on a shelf as decoration and when they they are old enough they can play with it and enjoy the plesant sound it makes when shaken. Baby's First Pooh Bear is $ 14.99. Their is also a six inch version and a giant size version of Baby's First Pooh Bear. The six inch is $ 6.99 and the giant size is $ 60.00.
...

Tamy119 says "Fisher Price Brilliant Basic Baby's First Blocks is great !" about Fisher Price Brilliant Basic Baby's First Blocks

Fisher Price Brilliant Basic Baby's First Block is a great toy idea. It allows the children to learn motor skills and cognitive skills: shapes, colors.

As a professional care taker, I just love the way children's faces light up as they put the blocks into the right holes for the first time. They know they did well.

At times the children become frustrated, because they cannot fit the block pieces into the right hole; but, that's also part of learning. They learn to control their emotions and gives them the encouragement to keep working to figure it out.

Children may start playing with them as soon as they can sit up on their own. Each child will take his/her own time to figure out the toy. There is no need to rush the child. They will learn to do it right, when they are ready; and when the child does figure it out, it will be a moment of joy for both the caregiver and the child, of course.

As the child gets older, the caregiver may start teaching the shapes and colors as well. ...
...

My daughter was absolutely obsessed with balls when she was around 9 months old so we bought her this busy ball popper thinking it would be the perfect toy for her. She actually really enjoyed it for a short while but it has never really seemed to work quite right. The fan for being so extremely loud seems pretty underpowered and if you don't have at least three balls in it they don't come popping out correctly. My daughter of course constantly lost the balls. It came with four but we can never seem to track down more than two at once so the toy doesn't quite work correctly it just whirs loudly and makes futile attempts to push the balls up but they for the most part just hover right on top of the toy instead of coming out. I also don't really understand why theres a path leading the ball back in. I personally have never seen the ball come out land on the path and makes its way back around lol that's what I thought it was supposed to do.
...

My daughter got this for Christmas when she was 7 months old and loved it instantly. We used it without the legs at first and she would sit there and laugh and poke at it for long periods of time. As she started standing and walking we put the legs on to entice her to stand up and play with something she really enjoys. It is neat how there's different modes like in play mode you can play the piano like keys but in music mode you hit the key and it plays the song out for you or there's also learning mode and a spanish mode. I really like this toy because of this and because it's so versatile. My daughter is 18 months old now and it is still one of her favorite toys so that's some pretty good value I think. Really the only thing I dislike about this toy is that the little purple shaker phone always tends to get lost. It really should have a little rubber cord but hey it's still a really fun and educational toy.
...

I love the way the baby toys are being made and I can play with them myself with the God. I want the computer fixed in the living room so I can implore more toys for the babies coming into world. I want more hand made toys for the children but the God up above stated to be careful of the things of the lust of the world. We do not lust after the things of the world or the lust of the world and we are to ask God for all the things of the world. I love to share these things with the young people of the world. Between 0 and 12 years we are to be weaned of products for the babies and give them godly things but we do not. So I suggest the God tells us what to do and we make them. Isn't that nice for them to make the article of the brain of someone who is well. I am rich with the God to speak in the hour one day to be well about the article of the brain in which we all have some part with. I love to please people. Amen.
...

sicklecellmom says "They are awesome." about Crayola crayons

I have bought all types of other crayons and none of them can beat the Crayola brand of crayons. They have the best options in colors. The colors actually look the same on the paper as they do in the box. The washable brand is the brand that I would suggest because of the mess that children can make on their clothes. It will also was off of tile floor and walls. During the school shopping season Crayola was the only brand that I could find that sold their crayons in an sixteen pack or offered the large crayons. They had the largest quantity and almost the lowest price. Crayola also has the largest variety of coloring supplies with the best quality. They offer great paint and markers. The crayons are great to have around when you are trying to give your child some busy work and they love it. The Crayola crayons offer a way for your child to express themselves creativly, it is also a great way to share quality time with your child.
...

Baby Einstein Baby Neptune Ocean Adventure Gym. I recieved this item as a gift from my baby registry,. This activity mat from what I've seen is about 69.99 at most stores. It is alittle pricey. It is very colorful and I love the material of the mat. Not sure what it is exactly kinda silky and easy to clean. It came with quite a few toys that are on links to eitherhang on the toybar overhead or you can take them down so baby can play with them. The toys are hard plastic and some are plush. One of them is even a teether! Whis is a plus for me. The toys always end up in there mouth ! Ü There is a toy that velcros on the side of the toybars(batteries required) It plays music and lights up. Which is a nice feature. I have had several mats before this one for my other children and this one by far is the best one. It also stays well in the storage bag it comes with. I know from experience that sometimes those storage bags rip easy and are hard to get back in the bag. But this one all around...
...

Well I must say I really like the Melissa and Doug toys . Everything from there puzzles to there imaginary toy food line. I bought my daughter the Cutting food toys, and she absolutly loves it ! Talk about keeping her busy ! She sits there forever playing with this toy. Never gets old. The great thing about it is when she is done cutting up the food she can velcro it back together all by herself! And then of course start all over playing again. Whenever my neices or friends come over this is the first toy they all seem to want to play with. And we have alot of toys. The kit comes with a cucumber, carrot, watermelon, bread, apple, green bell pepper cutting board, and a wooden knife ina cute little wooden crate. These wooden toys are a big hit in our house. My kids like to play with them with our little kids kitchen we have set up in the living room. You really can't go wrong with any toys from the Melissa and Doug line !
...

My doctor did not recommend that we use a walker because of the accidents associated with them. My son has been frustrated with the limitations on his movement since he was a newborn. He has always needed to be active to be content. The exersaucer and bouncer were just not enough. My mother-in-law bought him this walker and now he cruises around like a professional.

I wanted this walker because it was simple in design and did not have flashy toys. My son likes the bears and beads on it. He is chews on the bears right now because he is teething. We use the walker in our basement so that there is no fear of him toppling down stairs.

This walker was easy to assemble and has different heights so it can be adjusted for your child. The cloth seat can be washed if necessary and the plastic tray table can be easily wiped clean.

I am glad that we ended up getting this walker. My son is able to get the movement he craves even though he is not yet able to crawl or walk. He keeps himself active and...
...

My middle boy was given this as a gift a few years ago. Both he and his younger brother really enjoyed playing with it. It was easy for them to use, it was great that all the magnetic pieces stayed on the mini fridge and didn't get lost. The only warning is my kids played with it so often in the kitchen the songs are forever etched in my mind. If you can get passed that it's all good.

Easy to use including holding the pieces and putting them in place, color recognition, shape matching, rewarding correct answers with peppy tunes and I've seen it in the stores, the price is very reasonable. What's not to like?!?
...

offthepathmommy says "Great Entertainer with out overstimulating your child" about Baby Einstein Discover and Play Entertainer

I researched for quite some time before finding this one. This was the only entertainer that did not over stimulate my little one.

Positives:
It has bright toys that do a variety of things: one teething toy, a few that make noise (also plays classical music) and a puppet. It has 3 height settings and a way to stablize the base. Essembly was fairly easy. It occupied my little one for long periods of time and was a great way for him to get some energy out. The seat comes out so the cloth can be washed.

Negatives:
The toys are dificult at times to remove and clean. If you have a strong child (Like I do) more than likely they will break one of the toys (for my son it was the globe). The lowest height setting is still faily tall. Once your child starts walking or crawling they can get out of the entertainer. That being said its not too easy to store.
...

offthepathmommy says "Middle of the road" about Vtech Baby's Learning Laptop

This toy is fairly middle of the road. While it does resemble a normal laptop complete with mouse that is about a close at it comes. The toy does come in two different styles-one for a boy and the other for a girl. It does have different sound levels which is nice. There are only a few songs that it plays and multiple sounds however there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why they grouped things together. I don't feel that this toy stands apart from other toys. I hold Vtech in high esteem but this toy feel short.
...

amandalacey says "Very Entertaining" about eric carle activity toy

I just recently bought my infant son a eric carle activity toy. It was the caterpillar, it has brightly colored sections, and plenty of different toys. There is a yellow ring with different colored beads. A mirror, differect colored chewies, a crinkling toy, and a teether. I actually loved it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much I purchased the blue elephant. The blue elephant has a squeaky mouse, a mirror, and many other small toys. I also plan on purchasing the butterfly, and the lion. They also have many more different ones to choose from. I believe I paid about ten dollars for mine. They were on sale at Kohls. They are a little pricey for hand held baby toy, but they are so worth it. My son has not gotten bored with it yet. They have many different activities to choose from. His favorite is to chew on the gummy gripper, but what baby does not like to gum toys. I would definately reccomend purchasing this for your baby.
...

amandalacey says "Fun and Educational" about LeapFrog Magnetic Fridge Farm

The Leapfrog Magnetic Animal Farm Fridge magnet is a very entertaining toy for young kids. They can do any combination of animals wether it be a sheep duck, duck pig, pig cow, cow horse, pig horse, sheep horse, or a number of other animals. When you match the correct animal it goes into a cute song, and what noises the animal makes. If you do a pair that is not matching it sings a silly song such as a sheep dog, and breaks into a silly toon. It is great to entertain your little ones while you are busy cooking, cleaning, or getting meals planned in the kitchen. It teaches your girls or boys many types of animals, and the noises that the animals make. It is not very expensive either. I have seen it at Burlington for about $12.00. I believe it retails for $20.00. The only bad thing about it is if you lose one piece you will not be able to make that matching animal. I know my son thought it was fun to throw away the animal magnets, and before I knew it we were down to half of each animal....
...

Kajalchhaya says "great toy" about Fisher Price Little people farm

The item purchased is exactly what I would expect from Fisher Price...an excellent teaching opportunity in a very fun way.

I ordered the Fisher Price Animal Farm for my son (age 15 months) because he loves animal sounds and this farm has all the animals that are typically farm animals and makes different noises for each animal and that too very realistic. The animals are made solid enough for her little hands to hold easily, but too big to be swallowed when he feels to "taste" them, as all little ones love to put things in their mouths. He loves to open and close doors and the openings are all a good size for him to fit the animals through.

And yes, we have the "older" version with the plastic, not touch-and-feel, animals, which is perfect because he would totally eat the hair and fur. Why on the earth fisher price thought of getting this newer version with hair and fur.

Overall, this farm will provide hours of learning fun for toddlers.

adrienne4 says "My daughter absolutely loves the playskool busy ball popper!" about Playskool Busy Ball Popper

My daughter has had the playskool busy ball popper since she was six months old! She is two and still rakes it everywhere with her, I think it is a great toy for babies of all ages! She loves when the balls pop out at her ecspecially when I put new batteries in, they just go everywhere. It has 5 colorful balls inside of the clear plastic and sings a different song everytime you push the button. This is a great product every kid will love it! Its lightweight makes it easy for little one's to lugg around, and its colorful design is great for younger babies! I also like the design with the caterpillar as the button, kids will think that is great, its hard durable plastic will last forever. Overall i think this is the ultimate gift for any child 6months to 2 years! I think my kids like to watch me chase the balls when they pop out EVERYWHERE. I am very happy that i purchased this toy almost 2 years ago....and she still loves it! I was so excited to see the smile on her face when she opened...
...

camconnormom says "My 2 Boys love this game system!!" about Vtech V-Smile

I have a 3 and a 5 year old they both love this game system we have almost all of the games for 6 and under. All of the games are educational which of course I love and they are really fun for the kids also. My biggest concern is that the games are kind of generic and not real interactive like the other systems such as playstation and WII. I know those games are a lot mor expensive however when I first purchased V-smile the age group went up to 13 and my son is 5 and already he is asking for something more exciting such as the PS2 or WII, I was hoping this would last him longer than a couple of years. I also had a hard time finding the power cord that did not come with the game which I thought was very strange, but I did end up finding it at Walmart they were just out of it for several months after christmas. I do love the easy way the game is set up with turning on and off changing games and plugging in the controllers this is very simple for both my boys. I would recommend...
...
