The bright start teethers are great because they are made for the babies that are zero plus months old. they are small enough for them to hold and to fit in there little mouths. my baby was born with four teeth ok they said that if the gums didnt grow back over the teeth they would have to pull them well luckly they did cause she would have been missing four of her baby teeth cause they wont come back if they pull them. But any ways she is five months old now and her teeth has been coming back in since she was 3 months old and she loves the bright start baby teether cause i had bought her the einstien teether before and she didnt like them cause she could hold on to it or get them in her mouth cause they where to big but the bright starts are perfect they fit in her hand and in her mouth. the are cheap you can buy them at walmart or any other store i have been at. all you do is put them in the refridgerator long enough for them to chill and there yuo go ready to use the will chew on it...
...

AM2008 says "Especially for baby diapers are a great value" about Especially For Baby Disposable Diaper Bags

I got a pack of especially for baby brand diapers at my baby shower, as an e
pectant mom I thought I'd never use the generic brand diapers, boy how wrong I was. I received the newborn size and I thought how bad could they be? I started using them and quickly found that I like the fit for my son better than I did the pampers. I used the whole pack I decided very quickly that I would be purchashing more of them. For the first 8 months my son never wore anything but the especially for baby brand diapers at daycare. We never had a leak. Of course we still had our occasionally "blow-out" but that is to be expected regardless of brand. Once a baby at daycare ran out of diapers and borrowed one of my son's Especially for Baby diapers and the Mom went out of the way to ask me what diapers they were because she liked them and was surprised that they worked so well for a generic diaper. My one word of caution, they run a bit small.
...

mariposa767 says "Great for the busy mom" about Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder

The Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder has been great for the most part. I started using mine when my daughter was between 6-7 months old. She loves eating banana in it and will cry when I take it away from her when there is very little left inside. It works great for me and my husband when we would like to eat dinner and have her at the table too. She needs very little supervision this way and isn't willing to drop this item as soon as she would drop any other toys or objects. We tried a new fruit inside the feeder just the other day -- pinapple. She made faces with the new flavor, but kept putting it back in her mouth, so we assume that she liked it. So, we have found that this gadget is very useful for keeping our daughter entertained, fed, and into trying new foods without our worry about her choking. The only drawback to the freshfood feeder that we have found is that everything still gets messy (but what isn't messy when it comes to babies and food?), and the device can be...
...

My daughter started getting teeth at 4 months and she couldn't communicate when she was hurting or not, so we tried these and they worked great! Anytime we could tell she was cutting more teeth, we'd have these on hand. They work just fine without being chilled and are the perfect gripping size for toys. Then when she needed them as teethers, we'd stick them in the refridgerator or freezer and she'd have a teether handy, then a toy once they warmed up again. They didn't take long to chill in the refridgerator either, which was great when we needed a teether quickly. They also don't go bad if you leave them in the fridge or freezer for an extended amount of time.

They were really affordable and were of a comparable quality to other similar products. They're not dishwasher safe but we just throw them in the sink with hot soapy water for a few minutes. A friend said she put hers in the dishwasher and nothing bad happened, though I can't speak from personal experience on that...
...

My daughter gets a runny, stuffy nose ALOT. We would try to use the green bulb they give you at the hospital and she would throw a fit! We tried other nasal aspirator bulbs- each time she would totally freak out.

At 6 months old she had to be admitted into the hospital due to the flu, the hosital used a battery operated nasal aspirator on her and it worked so fantastically! Once we got home from the hospital we ran out and bought one. We pick the Graco Nasal Clear Nasal Aspirator for a couple of reasons- price, the Graco name, and the music it plays to distract the wee one.

The first time we used it our daughter actually giggled. GIGGLED! She thought it was hilarious, and I guess it tickled a bit. It did a great job of sucking all that snot out as well. And it is soooo easy to clean, there are 4 parts- 3 to clean- and it is super easy to do.

Our daughter does not throw a fit when we need to suck her nose out anymore, she gets kinda of excited about it actually. So...
...

My exclusively breastfed 6 month old baby was not taking to solids well. He would purse his lips and blow raspberries at the sight of a spoon. I tried the fresh food feeder and now he can't get enough! The first few times I tried the feeder he wasnt all that thrilled. After about five or six times of trying it, he is now trying to eat every last drop of food inside of it! He loves eating bananas using his fresh food feeder, yet he wont eat pureed bananas from a spoon. Without the fresh food feeder. my son probably wouldnt be eating much solid food at all. This has helped us so much!
...

I am a freak about hygiene first and foremost. So when my son started teething at five months of age I wanted the best toothpaste I could get for a decent price. I came across this at a local store. What drew me to it was that it came with a cute Elmo toothbrush and a 4oz bottle of cleanser for like 3bucks...Not too shabby! The cleanser is clear colored so NO staining their pajamas at night time, Moms!! The toothbrush it comes with is very soft bristled and brightly colored so it kind of makes brushing teeth fun. The cleanser has a very pleasant taste to it. My son LOVES it and fusses when we're done brushing his teeth. My now one year old son takes the brush from me at night (after I've gotten most of his teeth) and tries to brush like I do. I really do think the pleasant taste and fun design has made him look forward to brushing his teeth versus looking at it as a chore. Which most kids do, so I am glad to Oral B that they helped me start a good habit very early.
...

This has made my life a lot easier. I make my own baby food and so my baby is sort of a purist! He LOVES this feeder. I freeze my baby food in ice cube trays, and the cube fits perfectly into this feeder. The frozen foods are soothing on his teething gums. I also put fresh fruit into the feeder. He can sit in his chair and eat on his own while I feed the rest of the family dinner. He is part of the party without my having to stop and feed him. Of course, I also feed him in other ways. ;) I would recommend this for any busy moms!
...

Luckily my boys are both pretty healthy and we haven't had to dispense much medicine around here this cold and flu fall. I'm not a big fan on of using medications unless necessary. When fever strikes in the middle of the night though, we've come to rely on our EZY Dose Medicine Spoon and Dropper (depending on the kid).

The EZY Dose Medicine Spoon and Dropper are sold as a set but we have been fortunate to receive both from the Rite Aid Pharmacy. We have several versions of medicine droppers and spoons around the house and many medicines come with measuring cups, but it always seems I go back to EZY Dose as a preferred measure.

Measure Me Out

The set contains an infant medicine dropper and a medicine spoon for older children both made of sturdy plastic. The dropper is a 1 tsp pipette with a rubber bulb at the top. This also features "arms" at the top to help ensure that it will not fall into the bottle of medicine. The 2 tsp medicine spoon has a nice little "foot" on which...
...

As a mom I know that practicing dental hygiene early is a good idea. When my youngest son was a baby he had the tooth cleaner that you put on your finger. Once he was older, with a mouth full of teeth, he needed a real toothbrush.

I found the Gerber Grins & Giggles Toddler Tooth and Gum Cleaner for a good price. For around $5 it included a 1.4 oz tube of tooth and gum cleaner and a toothbrush.

The Grin & Giggles Tooth and Gum cleaner is a natural mixed berry flavor. It contains no fluoride and it's safe to swallow. It's made with natural fruit flavors and uses no artificial colors. It's a very mild fruit flavor. The cleaner is safe to use on babies three months and up. I wouldn't recommend using the toothbrush on babies that young.

The toothpaste that comes with it is purple. The head of the brush is just the right size for a child. On the handle are little grips for easy holding. My son has no problem holding this toothbrush or brushing his teeth with it.

Recently my youngest son has gone a strike against eating most food. It may sound weird but he will not touch anything that's "wet" he wants his food to be dry, like bread or crackers. I am always worried about him getting what vitamins and minerals he needs daily. Since I can't force him to eat I needed something else. That's where Gerber Graduates Smart Sips come in.

The Graduates Smart Sips are a healthy and delicious beverage for your toddler. There are three flavors: mild strawberry, mild vanilla and original. The drinks come in packs of 3, where I buy them from, and cost around $3. It's a decent size drink, 8.25 oz, and they come with straws attached. Here are the nutrition facts for 1 drink:

AngiBowman says "Made for Baby, Especially Helpful for You" about Especially For Baby Disposable Diaper Bags

Have you ever travelled with a baby? If you have, then you know the frustration of having to change a baby in a hotel room. Especially if you have a little stinker on your hands, it's not always easy to just run the dirty diaper outside or to the nearest trashcan.

The solution? Especially for Baby's disposable bags.

What Is It?

They are sturdy yet economical plastic bags that are built to hold even the nastiest diapers your baby can throw at you (hopefully not literally, of course!). Simply put the stink bomb of a diaper and the dirty wipes into the bag, tie it up and place by the door.

Does It Work?

In short, YES! It works like a charm. I have a very sensitive nose, so traveling with a potty training 3 year old and his 13 month old sister was bound to be a stinky mess. Thankfully, this bag saved room and most likely saved our maid's sanity. Even now, after our travelling days with small babies has come to a close, these bags come in handy.

Summary

If you have anything stinky - from walking...
...

MRSverret says "Good luck trying to clean this" about Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder

While I was on a search, for a natural way to help my son with his incoming teeth, I found the Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder. It provides a way to safely give babies fresh fruit. I figured that it would be a nice thing to have for ice too.

The Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder is about four inches long. There is a mesh bag on one end and on the other there is a top attached to a handle with grips. To use it just open the top place the food inside of the bag, then snap the top closed. Your child can enjoy fresh fruits without the choking hazard.

I really did like this product, except for cleaning. Food gets stuck in the mesh bag. Even after it's in the dishwasher and hand-washing, the feeder was hard to get clean. A big no, no while using this product is bananas. They get incredibly messy in this thing and they're really hard to clean. If you use it I recommend only using ice with it.If I had to do it all over again I would have purchased one that has disposable bags. I don't recommend this product....
...

AngiBowman says "Alcohol-Free and Great Purell Alternative" about Smart & Sily Kids Foaming Hand Sanitizer

I hate germs. I realize that hate is a strong word, but I hate ‘em. I'm a busy working mom of two toddlers who love to touch everything. Selfishly, I just don't have time to get sick - heck, I don't have time for ANYONE to get sick! If I'm even off my game for one night, the entire household goes into a downwards spiral.

If you're like me, then you know how great hand sanitizers are. You can find them anywhere and don't have to pay much for them. Using them is just easy. However, Purell and other alcohol-based sanitizers are growing old for me.

Why I Dislike Alcohol-Based Sanitizers

Please note that I don't HATE these sanitizers. They do the trick, but here's what I really don't like:

1) They burn if you have cuts - you know what I'm talking about. You apply some and find out that you have a mysterious, almost microscopic cut on your hand that is now stinging.

2) Drying you out - ones with lotion included turn into a white mess. Ones without lotion will dry you out if you use it as often...
...

this2shallpass19 says "This balm is great for sore spots and doesn't burn or sting." about Burt's Bees Baby Bee All Better Balm

I have had Burt's Bees Baby Bee All Better Balm for a while now, and wasn't sure what exactly it was for. The packaging and website are both a little ambiguous, so it just kind of sat around a while until I knew what I needed it for. My son recently cut his arm on my friends wooden playhouse and when we came home, I knew exactly what I was going to put on it!

My son's arm had a cut that was red, sore and irritated. I don't have any antibacterial creams in the house, so I figured now was a good time to try out Burt's Bees Baby Bee All Better Balm. I knew that this product wasn't going to disinfect or anything like that, but what it did do was make it more comfortable and less irritated. It contains calendula, which is an all natural first aid and chamomile extract to soothe the wound and not burn. It has a soft, baby scent that a lot of Burt's Bees products seem to have.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee All Better Balm kept my son's wound less-irritated, moisturized and soothed. It might...
...

greggsgirl477 says "I love the clippers in this kit!!" about Safety 1st Complete Healthcare Kit

I received this kit when I was pregnant with my now three year old daughter. This kit had everything needed for a first time parent, and was a good deal since everything included in it didn't have to be purchased separately. I absolutely LOVE the nail clippers in this kit! They are always lying around the house somewhere! We have actually bought a couple additional pair of the Safety 1st clippers just because they are so comfortable in your hand and work so well. All in all this is a good kit for your money.
...

dmlichnerowicz says "Cheap and safe soothers for babies' sore gums" about Bright Starts Chill & Teethe

I had braces when I was a teenager and I remember crying because my teeth and gums hurt so badly after an adjustment! When babies teethe, it must be as painful for their poor little mouths, so it's no wonder they're so difficult to soothe. Enter the Bright Starts Chill & Teethe three-pack of teething rings. These brightly colored pastic tubes are filled with water and can be placed in the refrigerator to cool so babies get some added relief from the pain and swelling as the chew on the cold rings.

Bright Starts Chill & Teethe are appropriate for any age infant. The tubes are different shapes, so every baby should find at least one that fits their hand and mouth. The rings have little nubs on them so they have a little more texture for the baby to focus on. I have found that the baby I have used them with loves the ring that is shaped like the number 8...she chews on one end and tugs on the other (it kind of reminds me of a dog toy, but hey, she's happy!)

I only paid $2.99...
...

My son loves this Oral-B Stages Baby Tooth and Gum Cleaner. He likes the taste and he did not hesitate to try it from the first time he use it. Before I bought that for him, he always tried to escaped from brushing teeth routine. He cried and he even pretended sleeping. He drove me crazy everytime I wanted to brushed his teeth. And then I found Oral-B Stages Baby Tooth and Gum Cleaner, I bought it right away and had my son tried it after we got home. And guess what...my son did not acted the way he used to. He loves the taste of it and he wants me to bruhes his tooth everytime we go to the bathroom. What a incredible change. I thought I won't be able to brush my son's tooth forever, but it's different now. I'm so happy with what happened and so do my husband. My life was miserable before I had Oral-B Stages Baby Tooth and Gum Cleaner. It makes my life easier and saves a lot of my time. You'll try it and you'll feel the same as I do.
...

Svlemommy says "Not a single smell!" about Safety 1st Easy Saver Diaper Pail

We bought the Safety 1st Easy Diaper Pail for one reason. We didn't have to buy a specific type of refill. We use our everyday, ordinary trash bags in it! That's value right there!

We've been using the pail for three years now. It started in our nursery, but when the kiddo started to walk, we moved it to the laundry room. We have to show babysitters where it is because you cannot smell it at all! Seriously! The only time you smell anything is when you open it to put a new one in. We counter that by tossing our dryer lint and used dryer sheets in there too. That really seems to help.

It's placed next to the cat litter box. It is really easy on trash day to pop open the lid and just scoop directly into the pail. Remove the bag, put a new one in, and wa-lah! it's ready to go.

I can't think of a single negative for this pail! Yes, there is a spot to put the odor disk, but we don't use one and it doesn't matter! For a while I was putting cotton balls soaked in perfume in the odor disk holder,...
...
