msmith918 says "Works well" about Dreft Laundry Detergent

Dreft laundry soap was the first soap I bought to do my babies laundry. I just "knew" it would work better than anything else and since sensitive skin runs in the family I was really worried about hurting him. I used it and it did work great. His clothes smelled nice and he never got a rash or anything. The next time I needed soap I was at a store that didn't have the big jug and I didn't want to pay about as much for a small one, so I tried the store brand. It worked exactly the same! The scent was the same, it cleaned and no rash for my baby! I learned my lesson that you don't always have to pay premium prices to get a quality product. I will buy Dreft if it's on sale or I have a coupon or something, but it's not my go to brand that I HAVE to have. I would say if you are on a budget or like to cut costs any brand of baby soap will work because I have now used several store brands and they are all the same. —...

AngiBowman says "All Around Disappointment" about California Baby All Natural SPF 30+ Sunscreen

When I use sunscreen, I depend on 3 things: — 1) Easy to apply — 2) UVA AND UVB — 3) High protection — I'm not super picky beyond that. I don't care how it smells or looks. I just want it to work. — After using the California Baby bug spray, I was elated to find that it came in a Sunscreen form. I mean, WOW! I can have an all-natural alternative to regular sunscreen? Amazing! — How does it match up to my expectations? — 1) Easy to apply? Not really. It's for everyday use, but I can't imagine keeping my toddler still for the 10 minutes it takes to apply the sunscreen. It hard enough to get him to stay still for 5 minutes. This formula is REALLY thick, and it's going to take 10-15 minutes to really get it rubbed in. — 2) UVA AND UVB? Yes, without the use of chemicals. — 3) High protection? It sure feels like! It's the top of the water resistent formula, and you can feel it. That's why it takes so long to rub in . —...

moxiemom says "Ok but there are better options" about Boppy Luxe Pillow

The Boppy pillow is most useful for tummy-time and teaching your child to sit up, but it is not the best product for nursing. It's too small and rigid. I have found that the Bosom Baby V-shaped pillow is the best product I have ever bought! It's great for nursing, sleeping, cuddling, tummy-time and sitting (available at lunalullaby.com). —...

AngiBowman says "Keep bugs away naturally! " about California Baby Natural Bug Blend

A few weeks ago, my family attended a church picnic. Naturally we put on a nice, low-DEET formula of OFF on nearly everyone. I'm allergic to DEET, so I've just learned to deal with bugs. However, our nearly 3-year old son started to vomit and we knew we were in trouble. I — n the era of West Nile, I was terrified. How do we protect our children from bugs without having to resort to OFF or the like? Avon was an option, but I have had poor experiences with the greasy Skin-So-Soft. — Doing a quick search on the internet, we found California Baby. All natural products? Also available in our local stores? AMAZING! — Pros: — 1) All-Natural: When you use it, you can smell exactly what is in it. There's nothing chemically made in it! It's made with just Citronella, lemongrass and cedar essential oils. — 2) It really works: I'm not kidding. Since using California Baby Bug Spray, we're had NO problem at all with bugs. Okay, we have a bug problem in our area but...

You know the more I read , the more confused I get. Use this......Don't use that. What to use? What works? Well about four years ago I decided to go natural (as much as I could on a budget) and I love it. So when my newest addition started teething...what did I grab? That's right Hylands all natural tething tablets. My first thought was ok do they really work? Are they safe? Are they easy to use? The answer yes, yes, and yes!!! I noticed right away that they seem to ease the pain. I put two tablets in my baby's mouth and they desolve in seconds. Little while later, she is doing great with no pain!!!! The tablets are small and desolve on contact to tounge. I started using them when my youngest hit about five months. They also have tabs for bedwetting, and gas. I know they have more than that but too many to list. They also carry great products for adults. I LOVE the CALMS by them. It helps me to sleep if I can't fall asleep. I wake up well rested without any side...

I didn't get one at first, thinking I didn't need one, and that I could do with generic pillows (read: I'm cheap) but once I tried a friend's boppy, I realized it was the pillow for me! — — I use it all the time to nurse my baby, and it fits perfectly. It's very sturdy, which is great, because I needed the support. I think it's a definite must-have for all nursing moms. —...

I have to say that these "Boppy Pillows" are absolutely amazing. I remeber when I was a expecting/new mom. I absolutely DID NOT want one of these, I just thought it would be lazy way out, it was wierd looking, all the above. Now I have been watching my neighbors 3 month old for the month and she brought one with her and said that Shawn loved it. So I gave it a try the first day and and I'm in love with the "Boppy". This has to be one of the greatest inventions ever. I cant believe I made it with out one of these miracle pillows. Nursing, just holding the baby, laying the baby in, helping baby sit up, helping baby get tummy time and not have face buried in the floor. My 3 yr old still likes to play with hers.
shadaram says "Different from competitors by name only" about Target Baby Laundry Detergent

When my daughter was born, I was very insistent on using Dreft, especially since I have sensitive skin. I know how delicate newborns skin can be, and I didn't want to up her chances of having sensitive skin, so we stuck with Dreft. While shopping at Target, I found they carried their own brand of baby detergent, and at about 1/2 the price. And, with all the laundry I was doing just for her, I was ecstatic at the possibility of maybe saving a few dollars. So, I decided to try the smaller bottle just to see. I love the smell of Dreft, but was willing to give up the smell for the price, but I didn't have to. Targets brand smells just like it, and does just as good of a job as Dreft. It works great to pre-treat stains. We haven't had any problems, and she is now 1 1/2. I am still using this detergent, but will probably switch to what we use for ourselves when we finish this bottle. — — I can't remember the specifics of the smaller bottle, but the large one is 200 Fl. oz. and...

I Love Huggies Natural washcloths. They automatically make a great lather and get baby very clean without getting liquid soap everywere. They are disposable so I do not have to buy tons of fabric washcloths (I have no washing machine so I have to take my clothes accross the street which I can only do every other week, in this case I need a million of everything!).

I love this product for the reliability, smell, and overall ability to wash the clothes. I will load the machine with our baby's clothes and fill in with the rest of our laundry (9 and 5 year old boys, and a husband who does a lot of household chores). Granted we have a fabulous high end machine now, but previously (with son #1) we did not, and this product worked to get out all the baby goo. Plus, for me, having two pediatrician's suggest using this I felt more confident. Now on baby three I not only use Dreft but also the Dreft (Oxy) stain spray. The combo really does work to get out the tougher (blow-out diapers) stains. Now available at Costco (or was...
