mrsbnavy0401 says "Reccommended by our Doctor!" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

My daughter was prone to diaper rashes when she was smaller. After trying just about every brand of diaper rash creme, I finally gave up and decided to get a professional opinion. Her pediatrician told me to stop wasting my money on any brand other than this one! I thought the name was hilarious, but after the first use, I was hooked. I will admit, the color threw me after being used to so many "white" pastes and cremes, but now that is a welcome sight for relief for her. Currently in my house I have five tubes just around anywhere for easy access. My doctors opinion means a lot to me, and now I see why he recommends the Butt Paste. Every single friend that has had a shower has gotten a tube from me in their gift. I believe in it that much!! I always remember to thank our doctor for such a welcome product! You will not be disappointed!...

bennybear says "Pinxav heals the rash and dries the tears." about Pinxav (pronounced Pink Salve) Diaper Rash Cream

I am a lucky mom of a "I'm just happy to be here" baby boy. He doesn't complain about much. But he started struggling with diaper rash when teething began, and I was baffled as to how to help him. It was painful for both of us to change his diaper. We tried your typical diaper rash prevention creams, to no avail. They seemed to prevent it from getting worse, but never healed the rash completely. Then we discovered Pinxav. The rash was better within 24 hours and pretty much gone by 48.

You most likely will have to ask a pharmacist for Pinxav. My pharmacist had to order it for me but it was there the next day. It comes in an easy-to-carry tube or a big tub. I just purchased a tub for around $16 and the tube should run between $6-$8.

Pinxav does have a mediciney smell to it as its purpose is to treat. Part of the draw to other treatments is that they have no scent, but they also don't treat like Pinxav.

I highly recommend Pinxav as a treatment for diaper rash. We've...
...

mkleach458 says "Better than prescription diaper rash cream!" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

My son had the worst diaper rash when he was teething! I went to the doctors and got a prescription..then, a friend told me about Boudreaux Butt Paste. Yes, I know, it's a funny name, BUT, you will remember it! It's wonderful! It cleared the rash in about 2 days! I felt so bad for him, but this stuff is wonderful. There is no smell to it and it is a thick paste, not a thin lotion. The only downfall is if you have lighter colored towels and you apply this after a bath and it gets on the towel, it is a little hard to remove. (I used Totally Toddler to remove it) I usually find it a Babies R Us, Target or Walmart at its cheapest. It is a little expensive, but you can usually find a coupon or contact the company, they are great about sending coupons! All around wonderful product from a wonderful company!
...

bucky7007 says "24 hour releif for severe diaper rash" about convatec stomahesive

ok so, you go to the store and there are tons of different creams, powders, corn starches etc. forget all of those, and go for this product. It is used in ostomy care, literally heals sore skin over night. It comes in a 1 oz. powder form, comes out of a pin hole opening. squeeze on affected areas, liberally, next spread desitin or whatever all over the top of that, and squeeze more stomahesive over that. it forms a cake frosting coat, when the baby soils diaper, only gently remove dirty areas, LEAVE THE REST IN PLACE, and add more desitin and stomahesive, only completely remove once in a while(like when you give them a bath) watch what happens in 1 day. Product only available at ostomy supply/medical supply stores. Can be ordered online, no script necessary. I learned this method from an experience at a very good hospital, wound care geniuses
...

LisaCarey says "Heal your dry skin fast with ointment not lotion " about Aquaphor Healing Ointment

I have dry skin "spots," like many others, you know, those troublesome skin spots like elbows and heals. Using Aquaphor Healing Ointment regularly means that I can heal my skin quickly and easily and without a prescription.

The active ingredient in Aquaphor Healing Ointment is Petrolatum. The other ingredients used to make Aquaphor include Mineral Oil, Ceresin, Lanolin Alcohol, Panthenol, Glycerin, and Bisabolol. Who knew it was Vaseline with a boost?

Aquaphor Healing Ointment is doctor recommended for both adults and children. My son also suffers from dry skin and this was the first thing recommended. Many parents I know use it to help their children relieve the painful itch of ezcema.

The manufacturer recommends cleaning and drying skin before applying. For dry heels try putting it on at night and wearing socks to bed to protect your linens. It may feel weird to apply because it is so thick and creamy, again like Vaseline, but it has far more healing properties. I wouldn't...
...

Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream works and it works well. It sticks well too so I don't have to worry about it rubbing off my babies butt easily. I don't have to use much of it either. A little paste goes a long way. I never use it to prevent rash only to cure it because I believe the less medicine I put on my child the better and healthier he will be. He also rarely gets a rash but when he does this is what I use and it works. I love the title I am however concerned a bit about some of the ingredients used in this cream. Judging from the information on Skin Deep it would be safer to remove some of these ingredients. I'm glad I limit the use of this.
...

I am the mothe of 9 children aged 3 to 23 (I also have two grandchildren aged 3 and 11/2) so I think I know a lot about diaper rash. Really diaper rash is not fun or pretty. Over the years I think I tried ever creme on the market. Triple Paste is by far the best and fasted (non perscription) creme I have used. Triple Paste really coats the area both to heal and to protect it. With triple Paste my youngest was vertually diaper rash free! After eight children I know that that is really an accomplishment.
...

Ok, I know that this is going to sound wierd, but Desitin's Diaper Rash Creme is not just for babies anymore. I found this out along time ago when my kids were younger. Since it is so thick, not only is this creme great at relieveing diaper rashes in children but, it is also great at relieving most of the rashes that adults get, depending on where it is at (arms, legs etc.). This product is also wonderful at relieving external yeast infections on both men and women (yes men can get this too!). This product may say that it is for diaper rashes only, but wherever moisture and irritation occur this product can be used to relieve the irritation. Now, eleven years after my youngest child has stopped using diapers, I still buy this product for use on my family members whenever this type of irritation occurs.
...

Very good product. It works, and being a healthcare worker I know it is medically recommended. It improves the overall health and moisture in the skin. I would highly recommend aquaphor healing ointment for damaged, dry, unhealthy skin. They have different versions of the product, but they all work well, if used consistently and on a daily basis. It can be used for all ages. It can be used for all types of skin conditions, under the direction of the health provider. So if you are looking for a high quality skin care product this is it!
...

katespiker says "Trusted over decades" about Desitin Original Diaper Rash Ointment Jar, Over Night Relief

I LOVE Desitin Original. I had it used onme and my sisters' when we were babies and it was the choice for me when my children were born. My daughter used to get bad diaper rash no matter how often she was changed and bathed. Desitin was the only diaper rash product that worked. I had received several different brands at my baby shower and did give them all a fair chance. Bordeauxs didn't work as quickly, A&D caused blisters (still not sure why). I find the smell pleasant, as I remember it from childhood. It gives instant relief and works to correct the diaper rash overnight. It is thick enough to stay on the area applied to and not just rub off into the diaper. It also wipes away clean. I find it no more pricey than other brands, in some cases cheaper. The jar is nice to keep in the changing table and should last you quite a while. All and all I really love this product and buy it for all my friends and families baby showers.
...

lyss008 says "Makes my baby's butt even softer!!" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment

This is the only cream that will touch my baby's behind. It is gentle yet efficient at everything it needs to do. It is a little bit more expensive that other diaper creams (okay, let's be honest, it's double the other creams!) but it's worth every single penny (dollar!). I only wish that it would come in a bigger format just because I use quite a bit of it and need to purchase a new tube every week or so!

Another thing that is a little disconcerting is the fact that just recently, Burt's Bees brand was bought out by Clorox!!! I have so far not noticed a change in the quality of the products but would not be surprised if the quality starts to go downhill anytime soon. Then I will have to really shell out the big bucks for baby diaper rash cream!

All in all it is a great cream, especially for the most sensitive skin and it's nice to know there's a product out there that can make my baby feel a little more confortable!

We have used so many tubs and tubes of this in our house since discovering Aquaphor in the summer of 2005 that I think I've finally lost count. My 4 year old uses aquaphor on the skin below her bottom lip at bedtime and naptime daily, because she's a "lip licker" and its always raw, cracking and chapped under there if we don't....if we DO keep up with the aquaphor, its almost not noticeable what she's doing to her little lip. I got my mom into using aquaphor on her nose where her oxygen tubes rubbed, and it helped her soreness and chapping there as well. We've used this stuff for our 3 kids' diaper areas, keeping cheeks/chins/noses and lips from getting chapped in the cold, harsh weather (we live in CT and play outside for long periods of time!). Its just such a great product from a great company- no smell, no colored mess, and effective. Can't sing its praises enough! My 34 year old husband uses this without complaint too and he is about the pickiest man I've met to date!!...
...

Aquaphor is a great lotion for babies, especially newborns! Our daughter had terribly dry skin just after she was born, it was pealing and cracking. Baby lotion just didn't do it, so we tried this and it is just awesome! It helped to soothe baby and to heal her skin almost right away. Our pediatrician also recommended it, saying that normal baby lotion can sometimes be too harsh for a newborn and Aquaphor was a better choice. It does leave a little bit of an oily residue behind, more so than normal lotion, but nothing to be concerned about. It helps your dry hands as well when you apply it to you little one, and any extra on your hands just wipes right off with a towel. I have not noticed any staining or marks left on clothing from this product at all. A little bit goes a long way as well, so it's worth the price because it works so well and you get quite a few uses out of one container.
...

I am a mother of four, with the baby of the family still in diapers. I have changed so many diapers and used so many creams it is mind boggling! I usually stuck with Desitin, but when I had baby number four a friend gave me some Boudreaux's Butt Paste as a joke because of the funny name. I was willing to give it a try, though, and was very impressed! First of all it has a very nice smell. It isn't medicine like at all. Secondly it spreads very well, and doesn't seem to hurt a baby's sore tush when it goes on. And lastly, and most importantly, it works! It seems like it healed up any existing rash and kept anything new from creeping up. I use cloth diapers and it doesn't seem to have any adverse effect on the diapers, as some other creams do. So from now until the end of my diaper changing days I will be getting Bourdeaux's Butte Paste for my diaper cream. The only down side is that it can be hard to find, but it seems to be carried more and more places, and also online....
...

Desitin is the Best diaper rash cream I have used so far. I have tried other diaper rash creams and I like this the best. It is easy to put on and take off baby's butt. It doesn't have a horrible odor either. It has prevented my son from getting diaper rash, he hasn't had a rash yet. A little of the cream goes a long way. I don't have to put a load of cream on his butt either a small amount works very well. The tube of cream last a while, bought it about a month ago and haven't even gone through half of the tube yet. Desitin also comes in large tubes, I bought the 4oz. It is white and has not stained any clothes, on either my son's or mine. It protects his butt after each diaper use, for multiple times. It is a diaper cream I plan on using till I am done with kids in diapers. I have tried both creamy and original and I like both but prefer the creamy. The creamy has a less ingredients then the original. But the creamy works just as good as the original.
...

I am reviewing boudreaux's butt paste for diaper rash cream. I just had a baby about 6 weeks ago. She is my first baby. At the time she was 2 weeks old. She began to have diarrhea and after a while her butt became really red. I took her to her pediatrician and she recommended the Boudreaux's Butt Paste. I had already seen it in magazines and also they had mentioned it in a tv show I was watching but never really gave it much thought. After my daughter's pediatrician told me to buy I immediately bought it. It says on the box that you can put as much as you want. So I put a good amount of the paste and the next time I changed her diaper the redness was completely gone. So every time i change her diaper I put the paste. The good thing is, is that I don't have to put on a lot of paste. A little goes a long way! It has such a pleasent smell. I am not really sure how to describe the smell, all i know is that i love it. I think it's like oatmeal combined with mint.
eeyore4n6 says "The only Diaper Cream that keeps my son's diaper rash at bay!!" about Desitin Original Diaper Rash Ointment Jar, Over Night Relief

Desitin Overnight Relief is the only Diaper Cream that I use for my son's diaper rash.

As an infant, my son had very sensitive skin, with nearly continual eczema. So when he started getting diaper rashes, I started with the sensitive skin formulas and the all natural remedies. All seemed to help to some extent, but it never seemed that the rash was ever completely gone - just improved. We do use cloth diapers and thought that this might be part of the problem, so we switched to disposable for a while - again an improvement, but no cure. I tried more and more different diaper creams, ointments, etc - not caring much about price - just relief for my little man's <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1...
...

RoosMommy says "Mimi's Buttrash Powder works wonders!" about MiMi's Buttrash powder Browned Flour

My daughter has always had issues with diaper rashes. I tried everything from Buttpaste to just airing her little butt out. One day my mother-in-law came over and I was just in tears. My daughter's butt was red and bleeding and she was screaming and I just didnt know what to do. She walked into my kitchen and I hear her fumbling around with things in there and then she started the stove. I walked in with my crying daughter to se what she was doing and she had flour in a skillet and she was cooking it. She told me to only cook it until it was just a golden brown and then I would have to let it cool down before I could put it on her bottom. So we let it cool and then put it on her diaper rash and she told me that by the next diaper change it would be at least 50% better. About and hour later I went to change my daughter because I was used to changing her every hour on the hour because of these diaper rashes and sure enough her little butt looked so much better. The bleeding had stopped...
...

saraarther says "ABSOLUTELY AMAZING " about Aveeno Soothing Relief Diaper Rash Cream

My son is 10 months old. He only gets diaper rash when he is on an antibiotic but when he gets it, he gets it so bad his skin starts bleeding. As of today this is his fourth antibiotic he has been on in less than 2.5 weeks, so you can imagine how bad it is. He screams everytime I even come close to touching his diaper and then trying to put cream on and then the diaper...next to impossible. I got online and found this site with reviews on diaper rash creams. I have tried everything. The best thing I had found up until yesterday was triple paste. Triple paste is good but when I read the reviews on Aveeno, I ran to the store to get it.

I applied a moderate amount of Aveeno to my sons bottom just before he went to sleep for the night, along with a larger size diaper to help keep the moisture away, and to my surprise the next morning, it was almost completely gone. He isn't screaming anymore and the area is only pink now. He lets me put it on and doesn't freak out with...
...
