trisha1030 says "Keeps toddler from falling on the floor" about Safety 1st Secure Top Bed Rail

This was a great buy. I had gotten a transitional bed for my daughter when she was infant. When the time came for her to transition into the toddler day bed I realized there was nothing to stop her from rolling onto the floor. That and she would not sleep in it without something there. So we took a trip to walmart and found the safety first secure top bed rail. It worked perfectly. The rail left just enough room on each side that she could easily crawl in and out without falling out of bed at night. She approved also. After putting the rail on she was in bed with her blanket and stuffed animals trying to go to sleep. One of the cutest things you would ever see. As for the product itself it was extremely easy to put together and fairly easy to put on the bed. Although the instructions could have been a little more clear on how to put it on the bed I had to figure that out on my own.
...

annawiggins6 says "I love the soft foam! and how easy it is to use!" about Go Bed Bug Bed Bug Bumper

GoBedBug.com excellent bed rails so easy to use, comfortable, & really work!

The foam that these rails are made out of is so soft, but once you have the bumper in place it doesn't slide on the mattress. It keeps your child from falling out of the bed, but is more comfortable then an actual rail or something inflatable. You don't have to worry about holes either like an inflatable rail, & there is no risk of baby getting caught between the mattress & the rail! Another great feature is that these can be arranged almost anyway you need!

The Bed Bug Bumper is a firm foam wedge designed to go under the fitted sheet as a safer and easier alternative to children's traditional bed rails. Most conventional bed rails have a space between the bed rail and the bed where a dangerous entrapment may occur. This is one of several reasons why the Bed Bug Bumper is better.

A great list of pros

safe

stable

soft

easy

portable

kid friendly

no assembly needed

parent friendly

flame resistant

can fit...
...

everettmhe says "Safety 1st is exactly how you will feel." about Safety 1st Secure Top Bed Rail

The Safety 1st Secure Top Bed Rail works well for toddlers who are trasitioning from a crib to a bed. The rail fits the best on Toddler beds, but we also take it with us when we travel. It fits on any size bed. Although it is a little difficult to secure and get straight, as long as you have another adult to help hold the mattress, it's not too bad. To set it up takes my husband and me about 10 min. But once it's set up, it is so secure. My kids crawl over it and play around it. I like the idea of the mesh too, because if they do end up laying into into face first, you don't have to worry if they can breathe. They have never fallen out of bed and it leaves enough room for them to get on and off the bed on their own. I would highly recommend this product.
...

kel4ann says "Hard to find - but worth it!" about Kidco Convertible Crib Bedrail

Well it was time to convert the crib to a toddler bed. The thing I didn't expect was having such a hard time finding a bedrail for a convertible crib. They just don't make them. They make them for regular beds, but not for convertible cribs. I did a lot of searches, and finally I found the Kidco Convertible Crib Bedrail. It is a little expensive as far as bedrails go. About $80. But since it is the only one out there that fits a convertible crib, you really have no choice if you want to have a peaceful nights rest. It does the job! It fits the crib nicely and looks nice. It keeps my child safe. I also bought a body pillow to put up against it for extra comfort. YOu can find the bedrail in 2 places, Target and Babies R Us. I really never expected to have this much of a hard time, being that most cribs these days are convertible cribs I thought there would be so many choices out there, but that wasn't the case. Being that they are the only ones with the product so far, I guess...
...

daycaremom26 says "I definitely don't feel like my child's safety is coming first!" about Safety 1st Secure Top Bed Rail

I bought this product for my two year old. I am normally impressed with Safety First, but this time was very disappointed. Maybe it was a fluke, but the rail didn't last a month. Shortly after securing the rail, it pops up to unlocked. My son climbs over it to get into bed, but that shouldn't break it after 3 weeks!
...

cmking196 says "Soft pillow bolster keeps her in bed!" about One Step Ahead Bed Bolster

This bed bolster worked wonderfully for us! We converted our daughters crib to a toddler bed by removing the front rail. She fell out every night onto pillows until I decided she needed some kind of rail. After trying a typical metal rail with netting from Babies R Us...I found this in our One Step Ahead catalog. The standard rail didn't fit the crib mattress - it fit across the front but wouldn't fold down. It covered almost the entire legth of the bed - so she could barely squeeze out on her own...the whole point of the 'big girl bed'! This bolster blows up easily without the pump that they sell. It keeps her in, but when she's awake...she can roll right overtop and onto the floor. It comes in 2 colors and has a removeable cotton cover that can be washed! Love it! We have also taken it to Pop Pop's house and used in on a twin bed....
