ok where do i start well my baby is very sensitive with most of the products i buy i like enfamil with iron because my daughter enjoys it she is less colicky, she doesnt have any stomach pain and no constipation. now other powdered milks are not for my baby i tried similac first because all the info thats on the can says no colic babies, no fussiness or spit up and etc. so anyways i tried similac and my baby was crying the whole time i gave it to her she was constipating screaming like i was giving her something else. oh and boy did she spit up and did i mention throwing up. anyways i took her to the dr. and he told me that we need to change her formula so we changed it to enfamil with powder and i have to say it is amazing. my baby sleeps at night no stomach pain or constipation, or spit ups wow i just have to say that is the best formula for my baby. i do reccomend it for anyone with the same situation.
...

kalibobabe says "Similac Sensitive worked for my baby" about Similac Sensitive Formula

My son was originally started on soy formula after not gaining enough weight from breastfeeding. He ended up having problems with the soy and we were told to try Similac Sensitive. He has done well on it. He spits up every formula, including those with the added rice cereal. He spits up this one the least and it doesn't bother his tummy.

We do use gas drops because the powder is very foamy when mixed. The liquid form is just too expensive and needs to be refridgerated. I find the powder to be the best option for our family. While a store brand may be cheaper, we are able to buy this formula with manufacturers coupons at a discount club store in a large size. This makes it comparable to most store brands and it smells better than one sensitive store brand that we tried.

Overall, this formula has helped my son grow into a strong and healthy baby. It quickly helped him gain weight when he needed it. He likes the taste and has been a happy baby.
...

Enfamil AR has really helped my child with spitting up. When we first brought her home from the hospital we couldnt get her to keep any formula down, she would spit it all up. After changing her to Enfamil AR she doesnt spit up, she loves to eat and has no problems. I highly recommend this formula. It is great for any child that is under the age of one year old. The doctor changed my daughter from Similac to Enfamil AR anf wow it is great! I am very thankful that now she can enjoy eating and not be miserable by spitting up everywhere. The formula is a lot thicker than other ones that is how it stays down so well. I am very happy that her doctor switched her to this formula. It has really really made a difference in how she feels and acts. Now she isnt fussy all the time and her clothes dont get ruined from the spit up. Overall i rate this product a 10 and i am very pleased with the results.
...

My new born daughter was having problems with spitting up all the time so her doctor told me to try Similac insomil advanced soy formula. I put her on the similac insomil advanced soy formula that same day. Within a couple of days of her drinking the similac insomil advanced soy formula she stopped spitting up as much as she was before. I would definately recommend the similac insomil soy formula to any parent that has a baby that spits up alot. It helped my daughter and hopefully it will help yours too. The price of the similac insomil advanced soy formula isn't bad but isn't any price worth your baby feeling better so you can get back to enjoying your new baby rather than worrying about her spitting up all the time and not feeling good when they eat? I know my daughter is and I'm enjoying every minute with her now that similac insomil advanced soy formula helped her to stop spitting up and feel better.
...

When I was weaning my daughter off of breastmilk and onto formula this was the only brand that she would take to. Every other type of formula that we tried caused her to get sick... this just confirmed to me that Similac was the best substitute for breast milk. My daughter used this formula until she was 12 months old and I would honestly recommend it to any of my friends or family. Although it is one of the more expensive brands I feel that it is well worth the money spent. Just consider what is best for your child and consider that over 280 scientists work in labs to create something that can come close to breast milk. It is designed to similate the qaulities that are possesed in breast milk... including working towards building a healthy immune system. It contains omegas in it help develop a good digestive track but doesn't contain any palm oil, this means that it helps pormote better calcium absorbtion to aid in the development of strong bones.
...

When my baby was still at the hospital after he was born, both the doctor and me noticed that he had a problem with the milk, but the doctor told me to give him a couple of days. After a week, the baby had the first check up at the doctor's office and after discussing the matter we both agreed that he needed to change the milk, but the only thing that worked was the Soy milk. He gave me some samples and the baby seemed much happier with the new milk eventhough it gave him some gas discomfort that was later treated. But the main problem soon became the price of the milk. I was at that time receiving the WIC benefits (Government help for the baby), but it was certainly not enough. I still had to buy about 4 extra cans, each costing about $25. And that was not in my budget at all. Someone recommended Parent's Choice soy milk for my baby. At that time, I was not very experienced and was afraid that it would not be good enough, but after I tried it, I realized that my baby was really getting...
...

I am a twenty year old new mother to a new baby girl. My daughter has a very fragile stomache and I tried her on Similac when she was born and she was alright on it but shewas constantly projectile throwing up with it so I used Good Start (orange labeled) and it was still making her throw up. I had to change her formula to the good start (green label) formula and when she got used to it it worked just fine for her. It wasn't very hard for her to get used to the formula because all they did was add a bacteria to it to make it easier for your baby to digest food better. She has been on this formula for two months and her eating habits have changed. She hasn't projectile thrown up since she was born and she has been steadily gaining weight since she was born. I use the powder formula because it is more convienient to find in the local supermarket. It is about twenty dollars. Best formula I have ever used!
...

I am a Mother of eight children so I know a thing or two about formula. We have used every kind from Neosure for Premies and Goats Milk for babys who cant tolerate formula. Similac Advanced is one of my least favorite it goes bad after opening. If you dont use a whole can of powder in one day it turns gray and seperates. We use it because Wic gives it to us and we cant afford to be picky, but givin a choice I would never use it again. Also as a buyer my point of veiw is the can is blue and silver and white. It isnt attractive to the eye whatever happend to putting cartoon characters and pictures of teddy bears and babies on the labels lots of the products I buy I buy because they have cartoons on the label You wouldnt believe how much I spend on a a can of corn just because Dora the Explorer on the label! But I digress. So when your in the hospital and they ask which complementry diaper bag you want say enfamil!
...

THANKS TO SIMILAC, THEY HELPED US MAKING THE DECISION OF WHAT KIND OF FORMULA T USE. USING SIMILAC DIDN'T JUST HELP OUR LITTLE ANGEL BUT HELP HER MIND AND BODY GROW THE WAY SHE SHOULD BE. I WOULD MOST LOVE TO RECOMEND SIMILAC TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE I KNOW. EVEN IF THERE CHILD NEEDS A SPECIFIC TYPE OF FORMULA I AM PRETTY SURE SIMILAC PROVIDES EVERY TYPE THERE IS FOR EVERY CHILD THAT NEEDS "ATTENTION".IM NOT GOING TO LIE THE PRICE FOR THE FORMULA OR ANY FORMULA AT THAT IS VERY HIGH BUT WHEN IT COMES TO OUR DAUGHTER WE WOULD PAY ONLY THE BEST FOR HER TO MAKE SURE SHE HAS EVERY POSSIBLE THING SHE NEEDS TO GROW HEALTHY AND STRONG, AND SIMILAC IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE NEEDED TO GROW. NOW OUR LITTLE ANGEL IS 18 MONTHS AND HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE AND WE WOULD LOVE TO GIVE THANKS TO THE FORMULA THAT HELPED US MAKE THAT POSSIBLE AND THAT IS SIMILAC.
...

Our baby was doing great with Similac Advanced but because of reviews on this website, we decided to give him Similac Isomil Advance. Guess what happened - constipation. Baby just kept on crying for hours - I couldn't see him crying so I called my doctor and learned that this product is not one of those good ones and is not suitable for all babies. For new born babies, in ths product, the % of iron is very high while babies' stomach is not ready for this. I would highly request others to avoid using this product on new borns.
...

I have tried many formulas on my son. Enfimil, Similac and generic brand. While on WIC they would only allow Similac which made my son spit up frequently and not have a bowel movement for weeks at a time. I decided to switch my son to Good Start because it had 'Easy to digest proteins'. He has been on the fomula since he was 4 months and the spitting up and constipation stopped within a week.

Price is equal to that of other brands. ((TIP: If you sign up on their website they will send you coupons every month which will help with cost))

Pros:
Easy to mix-no real clumps like other fomulas.
Doesn't have that rancid smell.
Mixes well with cold water.
Comes in liquid ready to feed cans and bottles where nipples can be attached.
Closer to breastmilk .
Comes in DHA formula.
Comes in larger 30oz containers.

Cons:
Only Gentle Start comes in Liquid ready to feed bottles.
Doesnt come in convient carry packs like other brands.
...

I recently gave birth to my 2nd child in August. With our first child I was only about the name brand versions of things. I'm a huge fan of Target and thought that I would check out the "Target" version of Nestle Good Start powder formula. I'm nothing short of impressed. I did my research and also checked with our pediatrician. She explained to me that she would feel very comfortable with the Target brand, or any other off brand for that matter, due to the fact they are all regulated and must meet certain standards. If you're going to try to use this brand you need to start off using it. It's not good to "switch" brands, especially if the brand you're using is working for you just fine. Although, you can just check with your pediatrician and I'm sure they'll tell you switching would be just fine....I would highly recommend and it's $10.00 cheaper per can. The diapers are great too, in fact, better then the pricey brands....
...

I just brought son home from the nicu the other day. I was so worried about what to feed my baby cause he has acid reflects really bad. So I went through so many different formulas to give him. Nothing seemed to work for me what so ever. So I gave enfamil premimum a chance just to say I tried everything. When I first gave it to him I just kep thinking it wouldn't work like all the other ones. Well now he has been on it for a week and he has not spit up anything. It actually helps his gas. He does not spit up. Plus I noticed it also helps him sleep really good to. I wish they had this out for my other 2 kids. My daughter was constantly spitting up. I wish she had this around i would not of had so much clean up. So next time you go for formula and your not sure what to get you baby. I recommend you try Enfamil Premium first. It just may be what your baby needs to help theme out. Plus it has 20 calories for your baby.
...

Similac isomil advanced soy formula was a life saver. When my son was first born he could not hold down regular formula, and later found out that he had reflux.
