I started using Enfamil Gentle Ease Lipil baby formula with my son. Now it's the only formula I use for my daughter. I also recommended it to my sister, and it's what she uses for her daughter. I've never used a different formula product, even if something else is on sale. It is worth the price no matter what else is on special. If I do have anymore children, this will also be the formula I use. And if anymore friends or family have babies, this will definitely be the formula that I recommend to them to use. My older sister was the one who told me about this product. She used it for her two daughters, and swares by it. She tried other formulas, but she said this was the only one her daughters liked, and would take. My best friends' baby also uses it. Somehow he can taste the difference in the formula, and throws the bottle if it's not the Enfamil Gentle Ease Lipil, and she's tried 4 or 5 other formula brands.
...

cwhit1014 says "This formula is affordable and helped my son so much" about Parent's Choice Parents Choice Gentle Ease

My son had a lot of stomach issues when he was born.. every formula we tried gave his little tummy even more problems. We came across the Parent's Choice Gentle Ease one day.. and decided to give it a shot. The price was a lot less than the other formulas (I.E. Enfamil, Similac) so we were a bit skeptical. After just a couple days of using this formula, we started to notice a difference. He was less cranky and irritable, the reflux seemed to ease a bit, and he started sleeping for more than an hour at a time. It is nice to know that there is a quality formula for little ones with sensitive tummys, at a fraction of the cost of the name brand formulas. We are on a tight budget, since I am a stay at home Mom, and are always looking for the best price AND best quality. The parent's choice Gentle Ease formula was just that. It was a life saver in our house for a while.. we eventually had to change our sons formula to a hypo allergenic brand which Parent's choice did not offer at that time......
...

My son who is 1 month now has been on 4 formulas since birth. First similac advantage, the their soy one, the enfamil gentlease now the doctor put him on similac alimentum. My son starting having bad gas all the time once we brought him home from the hospital. He did the worse on the soy formula then any of the other ones. He wasn't sleep well at all, he just cried in pain all the time cause of the bad gas and his skin was so dry. I couldn't get him to eat but an 1 to 1 1/2oz of formula every 2 hours. He just didnt want it cause it hurt his little tummy so much. The doctor put him on alimentum almost 2 weeks ago and he is doing alot better. I found out tho. He does alot better on the ready to feed then the powder formula. The corn in the powder which is not in the ready to drink was hard on his tummy too. I love the ready to drink, no tummy aches. It is just a like costly tho. I did some research with my insurance company and found out my united healthcare insurance covers this formula...
...

enfamil gentle ease is a great formula forbabies who are having issues with spit ups and who are colic and are having a hard time digesting the regular enfamil formula. my son started off on the normal formula and we nticed he was spitting up cranky and aspirating so our peditiatrian switched him to the most expensive enfamil nutramigen which was a fortune but it worked for our poor little guy who was very allergic to the milk proteins in the formula. he was on nutramigen for a good six months and the doctor decided to try him n gentleease to see how he would do and wow he is doing awesome!!! No spit ups ect.., we also have to put rice cereal in all of his bottles and we have had to do so since he was 1 and a half months old so needless to say we have a healthy 32 pound 11 month old who loves to eat.The price diffrence between the gentlease and the nutramigen is alot which helps out as well because you cant buy big containers of the nutramigen , the gentlease you can which i find awesome!!!...
...

my baby was bf for the first 6 mo. she has eczema and is allergic to eggs. she was then introduced to formula. similac advanced was the only one she would take...we tried both good start and enfamil. they both taste absolutely gross (i tried before giving her) we slowly integrated formula into her diet. she was half half towards the end of her 6mo. for the past 2 weeks, of her 5-6 meals, only one was breast milk. she became irritable, cranky, and would always grunt and pout. she was so unhappy and it made my husband and i very sad. i thought she was just teething or going through a phase. she was very hard to deal with. it then accurred to us it could be the formula. we switched to soy similac and immediately noticed a difference. she was back to her normal happy self. apparently the milk based formula was tooo much for her poor tummy. it just wasn't digesting well. before we went for alimentum we thought we'd try soy. we're so glad to have our happy baby back!
...

I am a mother of two and nursed both my son and my daughter exclusively for the first six months. Then, about the time they started solid food, I starting supplementing with Nestle Good Start Gentle Formula. I've never had a problem when introducing the formula alongside my own milk. No upset tummies or diaper surprises.

When my son's appetite grew beyond what I could naturally produce, I asked around to find out which formula(s) worked well. I was lucky that I had a couple of other new moms in my friends and family circle to ask. One of the biggest complaints about other formulas was the smell and texture. I heard some of formulas don't dissolve easily when mixed, leaving a mommy shaking or stirring adding more bubbles and contributing to more burps and gas. Another is the awful smell of a dirty diaper that seems to come from drinking some other formulas. I found that Nestle Good Start dissovled fairly well in warm water and not so well in cool water. I also found that...
...

Everyone says that breastfeeding is vital for your chld, but for some women this is just not an option or something that they are just not interested in. Similac Advance gives them peace of mind knowing that their child is getting all of the nutrients that they would be getting in breastmilk but instead in a bottle. My son is now 4 and a half years old and has had only 2 minor colds in his life so far and my 4 month old is just as healthy. I can thank Similac Advance for providing them with a sound nutritious meal when they were babies.

Similac Advance comes in both powder form and liquid form. While the liquid form is very handy, it is much more expensive, so for the average household, the powder form will come in much more handy. It is easy to mix with water and has easy directions on the outside of the packages. Similac Advance comes in numerous package sizes so that everyone can buy what size they need as they need it.

I have used Good Start Supreme with both of my girls and I have to say, it is the only formula either of them would use. I have tried Similac with both of them and it made them sick. Good Start Supreme has all the good things a baby needs to develop their minds and bodies such as Vitamins A, D, E, K, B1, B2, B6, and B12. It contains DHA and ARA which is what is in breast milk and also helps develop the eyes and the brain. Good Start also contains Comfort Proteins which are whey proteins, the highest quality protein used in infant formula, that are broken down to make it easier for baby to digest. Good Start Supreme comes in powder, ready to feed, and concentrate forms to make it easier for moms at feeding time. Good Start is also a good value for your money. A small can costs about $11.00 while other formulas can cost up to $19.00 for a small can. All in all, Good Start Supreme is a perfect match for any baby and mom.
...

hiimdee602 says "MY SON LOVES HIS SIMILAC ADVANCED" about Similac Advance Baby Formula

This is a very good product! I started my son on this in his second month after breast feeding. He took to it very well, hardly spit up, and has been very healthy. I had originally tried him on infamil. He didn't seem to respond as well to that. I also tried Parents Choice and noticed he spit up a lot. Similac my son has been using now for 4 months. I was actually recommended by a friend who used the similac advanced on her son. She told me how her son hardly ever spit up and was always healthy every time he had his check ups at the doctor. Another good point about similac is if you are a low income mother, wic does happen to use similac as a primary choice of formula. I have no complaints about this product except maybe the cost. The cost is a little more then some of the other brands, however, you get what you pay for. And as i had earlier mentioned....WIC does use Similac as a WIC approved product.

So thanks similac!
...

Enfamil Prosobee Soy formula is an amazing formula for babies who cannot have milk based formula, but it is very expensive. My son spit up most of the formula he ate on Goodstart Soy. I switched him to Enfamil Prosobee Soy formula a couple of days after he was born. He did great on it. He spit up alot less, he seemed to be eating more of it, and it digested well. The only thing is that he was a colicy baby and was gassy. Enfamil Prosobee Soy formula made him even more gassy. Enfamil Prosobee Soy is also about double the price of regular formulas. When he was about three months old, I decided to try to ween him to a less expensive formula. I thought I would just mix half of Enfamil Prosobee and half of the less expensive formula. The moment I started mixing it he started spitting up again. So I thought I will mix less of the less expensive formula with the Enfamil formula. He still spit up all of it. I gave up and went back to just Enfamil formula. I had an emergency surgery and was out...
...

My newborn baby is very very gassy. After seeing him with so much gas. I decided that maybe his formula is causing the problem. After talking to the dr., I began to look for a formula that has reduced whey protein. I choose parent's choice gentle because it states that it is 1/4 whey protein than regular cow milk based powder and it's comparable to Enfamil. Plus, it would save me money if my son does take it.

I started out small by mixing 1/3 of the parents choice with 2/3 of his regular formula. He had no problem with the different smell or taste (parent's choice does have a stronger odor). He dranked it all. I didn't notice any reduction in his gas though. I thought it might just be new formula takes some time for the tummy to adjust.

The next day, I was waiting for dirty diapers. But there were none! He started to get red faced and crying when he can't get any poops out. I immediately stop giving him parents choice gentle and put him back totally on his regular formula. He was constipated...
...

my daughter was given Nutramigen for her acid reflux stomache, it did work in reducing the discomfort, she got use to the taste but when her teeth came in immediately after that they started to discolor and she was off the formula, the acid produced in her mouth with this formula caused decay early no matter how much you brushed, teeth just kept getting worse and the dentist says it may have effected her adult teeth, she is 5 and they were so bad her front teeth i had them pulled. I hope her adult ones come through with no decay.

My son was probably on every formula out there. He started spittiing up around 2 weeks old and they put him on enfamil AR, that was a complete nightmare. The enfamil AR still has the milk protein in it so it really doesn't help babies who are lactose intolerant. Needless to say, we were told to put him on a soy formula, so we tried the Goodstart soy. He continued to spit up with the powder so we tried the concentrated, and it was like a miracle. Don't get me wrong, he still spit up multiple times throughout the day, but it wasn't every 5 minutes, he quit having gas also. The soy formula does smell a little worse than the regular formula, but it is definetly worth it if it means your child can have a little peace and feel a lot better. We normally went to Walmart to buy the formula because there was such a huge difference in price compared to your average grocery store. I would highly recommend the Goodstart Soy Formula to anyone out there who is having difficulty with their...
...

I think Enfamil Lipil with Iron is a very good formula to use for infants. When I had my first child I was going to breast feed , and indeed did for 2 weeks. Then I kept crying and just did not feel comfortable doing it. I went to my pediatrician and felt horrible for not breast feeding but she made me feel better by telling me formula was just as good now a days. So I tried it and she recommended Enfamil Lipil with Iron.

My son had no trouble with it. We used it till he was a year old. I got lots of coupons and good savings from Enfamil. com and their program. I had gotten free samples and coupons in the mail also. Then two years later I became pregnant with my second son and there was no question what I was going to do but use Enfamil Lipil again. My children never had upset stomachs or much spitting up with the product. It is sold almost anywhere you go as for grocery stores, walmarts, targets, and baby stores. I would recommend it to any new mom or any mother having problems with...
...

Although it is really pricey. I mean $12 a can adds up to about $120 a month. Who can afford that? Luckily I receive WIC....that's a major relief. I would be even happier if they made this in the travel packs like similac does, but they don't. Does not cause throwing up and doesn't stain clothes. I does have a strange smell to it and if left in the bottle for a little while before washing it stinks really bad.
...

We bought this formula because our physician reccommened that we try it. We were alittle hesitant to buy it because of it being an off brand formula. Being first time parents we thought that we had to go with name brand everything. But, we decided to give it a try. We're really glad we did! Our daughter had terrible gas. She also spit up alot and tended to be fussy. The formula did the trick! Right away we noticed that her gas and spitting up was greatly reduced. She really like the formula! We didn't have a problem switching her from breastfeeding to this formula. She took to it right away. We love this formula! It costs alot less than the name brand formulas. It works just as good. She gained weight like she was supposed to and she is healthy and happy. We tried the enfamil gentle ease formula and we were not impressed at all. The enfamil kind doesn't mix with the water. It just clumps up. The Parent's Choice Gentle Formula doesn't have this problem. It mixes with water wonderfully!...
...

Similac allimentum is wonderful formula. After I stopped breastfeeding our daughter and put her on formula, she developed this rash on her forehead and chin. The Dr. gave us some cream to put on it, and we tried all kinds of medications for it, and nothing worked. So then we started switching her formula. We tried every type of formula out there and every single brand! Finally the Dr. wrote a script for my daughter to be put on Similac allimentum. Within 3 days of being on Similac allimentum the rash was completly gone! Our daughter also had a severe case of projectile vomiting. She would eat and within 5 minutes of eating she would throw up every where! It was horrible. She started losing weight because she was throwing it all up. So once we switched her to Similac allimentum, she stopped throwing up and started gaining weight. This formula was a life saver for us. She also started sleeping through the night because her little belly was not empty from throwing up her formula!
...

ladyjones87 says "Enfamil is number one in my house!!!" about Enfamil Lipil Formula with Iron

I didn't really know about buying baby milk. I thought that any baby milk was fine, but turns out that they're all different. When I had my daughter the nurses told me that breastfeeding was best so I've tried it as long as possible but it's not that easy especially when you have a full house. So I signed up for a program called W.I.C(women,infants,children)and they give out coupons for Enfamil Lipil w/iron and it has nutrients found in breastmilk called dha. My daughter really loves the taste of the milk which is a aquired taste. she also hasn't been sick or constipated with it. my daughter was born with something in her blood that makes her seem anemic and with the iron in the enfamil and the iron she takes they said she should be fine. Enfamil can be really pricey but you dont want to take the chance of buying milk that might not agree with the babies stomach. A 12 ounce can usually runs around $12 to $15. I also love it because it has a wider selection. They have 12 ounce powdered cans,...
...

ashes03 says "works great" about Similac Advance with iron

Similac advanced infant formula is a great formula if you can't/don't breast feed. I had to try several different types of formula with my first son (who's now four) and this-similac- is what worked the best for him. So when I had my second son three weeks ago this was my obvious, first choice. It has worked great for my new baby boy so far. Similac advanced infant formula is not the cheapest formula, but you can sign up on their website of through the mail and the similac company with send you great coupons and a coupon for a free diaper bag. The coupons are great, they are usually for $5.00 off any similac formula purchase that's $5 or more. This formula works great for me.
...
