My son began getting his teeth at 5 months. Before we knew it he had a mouthful and wasn't 12 months yet. At about 7 months we began giving him the Gerber snack foods, and from the very first bite he was ADDICTED. He likes all of them, and isn't picky. He would cry for them, beg for them, and when we went down the baby isle he would point and grunt until we got a package and opened them. By the time we were done shopping, I was handing the empty package the the cashier, apologizing. He is now 20 months, and I still get them for him, but they are more of a treat. I wish they made them for adults! They are absolutely delicious. I don't blame him for loving them so much. I stock up on them when they are on sale at the grocery and have my mother in law get them at the px on base. I think he will eat these until he is grown!...

When I was introduced to the gerber puffs by some friends of mine, my first daughter was about six months old and I had been starting her on some solid foods. I bought some and when my daughter was around 8 month old, I started giving them to her. First of all, she loved them! I like them, too. They are tasty and made with wholesome ingredients. This was the first food that my daughter learned to pick up all by herself and put in her mouth. She is an independent little girl, so this was a really wonderful moment for her. I used them again with my second daughter. The only problem that I have with them is that they tend to disappear very fast in my house! I really like all the different flavors and so do both of my daughters. I like that these are easy to find. I see them at almost every grocery store that I frequent. I also like these because they are a great snack that is not very messy!
...

When feeding both of my daughters, I began to introduce yogurt at around eight months with permission from my pediatrician. We immediately knew that yobaby was a great choice because it is organic and contains whole milk, which growing babies need. It was a little pricier than some of the other kid oriented yogurts, but after looking at the ingredients, I think that it is well worth buying this yogurt over others because they contain real fruit, no artificial ingredients and they contain much less sugar than others that I have seen. My girls have really loved all of the different flavors. My daughters are now two and a half and fourteen months, and they still eat this yogurt a few times every week. I still have the confidence that this is a healthy treat for my little girls. I also like that they have come out with fruit and veggie blends yogurts, which I have seen advertised and I can't wait to try!
...

When my daughter was only a few months old, she was diagnosed as failure to thrive. She had severe acid reflux and wouldn't eat barely anything. Mealtime was a chore. The doctor recommended that everything she ate be high in fat and calories, this meant that we couldn't feed her normal babyfood, because it just wasn't fatty enough. I found this yogurt while trying to find a food that would be high in good fats and that she would eat. And man, did she love this yogurt. I usually added a little rice cereal to it, to make it thicker, but other than that, this yogurt was great for her. It was one of the only foods she would always finish. Even now, a year later, I still buy it for her occasionally, because she will just eat it down. I love that it's organic and that it's made with whole milk. At our grocery store, it was very difficult to find non-lowfat yogurt. Stonyfield farms has made a fan out of me. I will be using this yogurt with the rest of my kids when they...
...

I think homemade baby food is the way to go. It is budget friendly and simple to do. I usually have fruit and vegetables that are ripe and need to be used up. That is when I grab the food processor and away I go. Once I add the right amount of water for the consistency I would like I fill up ice cub trays and freeze them individually. That way I can grab a cube or two and let them thaw. Because they are frozen individually they take very little time to thaw and my baby has a natural, organic (if I choose) meal that doesn't take any more time to put together than opening a jar. Not to mention those jars are so overpriced I cringe at what they charge for them, and the coupons that require you to buy 10 to save $1. That is ridiculous to me.
...

My toddler used to eat anything and everything when he was a little younger. Recently, he has gone on an eating strike, making it impossible to give him nutritious food. All he wants to eat are crunchy carbs like: granola bars, chips and pretzels. Luckily, he loves fruit and cheese, but I can't get him to eat meat or veggies. While at the commissary recently, I decided to buy a couple of the Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Lil' Entrees. They are complete meals that include a side of veggies and the whole entree is a perfect size portion.

Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Lil' Entrees Mashed Potatoes & Gravy with Roasted Chicken is a small, 5.3 ounce meal for toddlers. One side of the tray has mashed potatoes, chunks of chicken and gravy. The other side of the tray is diced carrots. I took a bite out of it and thought that it was a little bland, but that's just me.

This meal didn't exactly fly into my son's mouth, but with a couple tricks, he ate it! I tried to give him...
...

I started my son on these when he was around 1 and they were great all the servings are great the variety is even better. My family members had never heard of the products before but I decided to try them and I am so glad I did. When my son was around that age we were still in South Carolina because my husband was in the Marine Corp so we traveled home a lot. These things came in handy because he was eating "big people" food but was getting what he needed instead of having everone trying to feed him all sorts of junk it was nice and so easy to pop in the microwave and just heat up we could even stop at a convenience store and heat them if we needed to keep driving, luckily we usually planned stops so that didn't happen often but at least it was a possibility. Even after my son got older he is now 5 he still will eat them granted the servings are a little small for him now but they are great to throw in some extra fruits and vegetables with.
...

What drew me to Beechnut Oatmeal Ceral for our son was the package. Kinda like a little paper milk container with a screw on lid. I never have to worry about spilling, of it not staying fresh after it is opened, or ants or bugs getting into it. I really wish Beechnut had an organic version of this oatmeal cereal available. Our son has never had digestion issues, but other moms tell me that this is very gentle on their little ones tummy, which is very important. Our eight month old son had Beechnut Oatmeal Cereal mixed with applesauce and yogurt for breakfast every morning, and he loves it! I have taken this with us in our diaper bag and it has never come open once, unlike the more traditional looking boxes of infant cereal. This has a nice mild taste that makes it a good choice for adding to lots of different fruits and veggies for your baby. I wish it was organic, but you cannot have everything!
...

I try to buy my son a lot of natural and/or organic food. There aren't very many options out there, but I have never been disappointed with Earth's Best. When I saw they now make Earth's Best Organic Blueberry Mini Waffles, I had to buy them for my son. They are not only made with all natural ingredients, but are organic too. I found them at a natural store by my house for $2.50 on sale.

Earth's Best has partnered with Sesame Street to bring a whole line of products for babies and toddlers. Earth's Best Organic Blueberry Mini Waffles are just one of many items in the Sesame Street line. The Sesame Street character, Cookie Monster, is on the cover of the box, which makes my son happy. He gets excited every time he sees the box!

SpokaneMan says "Earth's Best Organic First Squash Went Over Great With Baby!" about Earth's Best Organic Baby Food

Earth's Best First Squash is a baby food sold to parents looking to introduce their babies to new foods. This is one of many beginner foods that Earth's Best sells in an organic form, and another in a great line of products that are made with real ingredients. One of the big selling points to the Earth's Best First Squash is that there aren't additional fillers used to expand the container, and that the ingredients are extremely limited. In fact the only ingredient that even makes the nutrition list is organic squash, putting the minds of parent's at ease about what their child might be getting in this dish.

The Earth's Best First Squash comes in a small jar that is advertised as being organically grown without potentially harmful pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. Each jar contains one serving of the food (71 grams), but because it comes in a jar that can be refrigerated, you don't have to serve the whole think in one sitting. With the Earth's Best First Squash, we have split...
...

One of the first real foods we tried with our baby was the Gerber Organic Sweet Potatoes. They are part of the Gerber 1st foods program, where the company has created a selection of foods that are not only easy for the baby to eat, but easy on their stomach. The sweet potatoes option is sold in addition to their carrots and peas, and it comes in a 2-pack that makes it extremely easy to serve the baby. Each of the containers also contains two servings, so with one 2-pack you end up with four good meals. With each being wrapped separately, it also allows you to just use one, and save the other for later.

The Gerber Organic Sweet Potatoes have no filler ingredients, and are limited to just the sweet potatoes and water in their construction. They are a very healthy option for the baby, with each container only having 45 calories total. It's not really the point in their lives where you need to be worried about calories, but it's a good peace of mind to have when you know that...
...

babydollluvs says "beech-nut is the best value in premade baby food" about Beech-Nut Sweet Potatoes

Many of my friends and family have always used and trusted Gerber. I don't disagree with that at all but why pay more for the same thing? Less food actually. Gerber offers 2nd stage premade baby foods in 3oz containers where Beech-Nut offers 2nd stage premade baby foods in 4oz jars. Beech-Nut still serves their foods in glass jars which are better recycled than the plastic containers that gerber sells theirs in nowadays. Beech-Nut has also been cheaper than any other baby food in every store I have seen it in. If you are looking for 'organic' foods, than you may be willing to spend more on Earth's Best or another organic brand; however, if you are just looking for value, Beech-Nut is the way to go. I have always given my son Beech-Nut since he started eating baby foods. He actually prefers the Beech-Nut to my homemade baby food purees (except for my pears and bananas, he has always loved those).
...

I'm somewhat of a "health nut" and I have passed that along to my son, this is good and bad. He's somewhat picky with the snacks he eats, he only likes fruits!

I enjoy cutting up fruits in the morning, packing them, and letting him snack on that throughout our busy day. This is, obviously, not very practical. Fresh fruit can be bulky, messy, and time consuming. We initially tried fruit gummies, he wasn't too fond of them and neither was I.

I saw these [the Strawberry Banana] in the store, so I decided to give them a try. Low and behold, he LOVES them. They are tasty, not chock full of sugars, and so easy! Besides the occassional piece or two that get stuck in the carseat, they're definitely MUCH neater [and less sticky] than fresh fruit. They dissolve easy, so I don't have to worry AS much about the little guy and his chewing [or not chewing] habits. They fit in my bag, so I can just throw them in there. And, yes, they ARE tasty. I tried them! I would definitely recommend these to any parent,...
...

MRSverret says "All babies love Gerber Graduates Biter Biscuits" about Gerber Biter Biscuits

When both of my sons were at their teething stages I didn't hesitate to buy Gerber Graduates Biter Biscuits. They help babies relieve pain from teething and teaches them to feed theirselves.

You will know that these are right for your baby when they start to crawl on their hands and knees, eat thicker foods, uses their jaws to smash food and can hold small foods between their thumb and first finger.

The Gerber Graduates Biter Biscuits are shaped sort of like a stretched out peanut. My kidsdidn't have any problems keeping hold of this little treat. They taste sort of like a graham cracker. They're pretty hard but once it's oozing with spit it softens up.

There are only a couple problems with these. The biggest thing for me is safety. My son was able to bite off large pieces. Good thing I caught it because I'm sure he would have chocked. My other issue isn't really a big deal but the cookies are extremely messy. The biter biscuits turn to a mush and can get everywhere.

I have trusted Gerber...
...

My son is a snacker and loves Gerber Graduates products. This is another one of his favorites. He actually prefers these over Goldfish.

The Gerber Graduates Crackers are made with whole grain and are fortified with VitaBlocks. VitaBlocks is a blend of nutrients to make food that tastes good, good for you too.

The crackers are a hexagon shape with letters on each one. The Gerber Graduates Crackers have a veggie taste to them. I really like them, they remind me of veggie Wheat Thins. Here are the nutrition facts for 12 crackers:

I usually try to buy my son different snacks, just to switch it up a little bit. I bought a bag of Gerber Graduates Animal Crackers because Gerber's snacks always taste great. And best of all, they're good for kids too.

I purchased a 6 oz. bag resealable bag for around $3. The crackers are cute animals, like dogs, cats, seals, hippos and other animals. These animal crackers are made with whole grain and fortified with VitaBlocks, a special blend nutrients for added health benefits.

msangela81 says "Healthy cereal for baby." about Beechnut Good Morning Oatmeal & Mixed Fruit

I have been using Beech Nut Good Morning Whole Grain Oatmeal & Mixed Fruit to mix with some of my sons food. My son like more texture in his food and I needed to find a cereal that would be healthy and filling and not to tough on his tummy. I found that Beech Nut's Oatmeal is perfect for this task. It doesn't have too much in it that could ind up my baby's tummy. It is flavorful and mixes well with pureed fruits and vegetables for a good consistency. It's a good source of Iron, Calcium, Vitamin D, and 7 B vitamins. It also has fiber in it to support learning.. The container has an easy twist open id that is easy to re-close and store. this makes it easier to pour without making a mess and it won't leak while it is being transported or put away after being used. This is a great cereal to use mixed with formula, breast milk, water, juice, or other foods for a thicker consistency. This is a great prduct for babies stating out with solid foods.
...

msangela81 says "Great healthy snack, and let's baby learn to eat independently." about Parents Choice Little Puffs

The Parent's Coice Little Puffs are much like Gerber's version of puffs. I like this version better because I think they dissolve faster and are easier for babies that are just starting to eat finger foods. They are the perfect size for babies to learn the pinser grasp when picking up food. The puffs come in different flavors. They have calcium, vitamin D and Iron, and are made with whole grains and fruit. These have been a favorite for all of my children when they were first starting to self feed. There is no need to worry about choking because they disolve very quickly in the baby's mouth. I find that it works very well as something to keep my son's hands busy when I am trying to feed him other foods with a spoon. This light snack comes in a tube container with a reclosable lid so that is is easy to pack in a diaper bag when you are on the go. Even my 2 and 3 year old children like to share their baby brother's snack sometimes.
...

SpokaneMan says "A Healthy Vegetable Option for that Growing Baby." about Gerber Green Beans

When our baby made it to solid foods it was time to start trying baby foods as well. I wouldn't exactly call the Gerber Green Beans a "solid" food, but a big step for any baby. We purchased several different Gerber foods to try out, and one of them was the Gerber Green Beans. The package itself comes in a 2-pack with each container having 2.5 ounces of pureed green beans. Each container also comes with snap on lids, so you can refrigerate what is left over if your baby hasn't made it to the stage of finishing a full package yet.

These green beans don't come with any additives other than water, and they are an extremely healthy option for your baby. There are barely any calories in this vegetable option, but it does serve to provide a nice amount of potassium to help your baby's diet. The green beans are easy to serve to your baby, and can be eaten right out of the container. My suggestion though, is that if you aren't going to give your baby the whole package, take some...
...

MRSverret says "So good I could eat the whole bag!" about Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts

My youngest son loves almost all Gerber Graduate foods. He gets so excited to see a yellow box or bag in our house. He knows it will be a tasty treat.

I first discovered Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts while looking for new snacks. They looked yummy and were healthy so I grabbed a bag. We tried the strawberry ones first but there are peach and mixed berry flavors too.

The yogurt snacks are 99.9% real fruit and yogurt. They even contain live and active cultures just like the refrigerated kind. There are no artificial sweeteners, flavors or preservatives providing your little one the benefits of yogurt without the mess. My son loved these and once my older son ate them he loved them too! Actually the whole family likes these. For some reason they are a little difficult to find now. I guess the word got out about how delicious and healthy they are!

Your little one doesn't even have to like yogurt to enjoy these freeze dried snacks. Gerber Graduates Yogurt Bites are a hit at my house. These...
...
