awareness says "the most effective bib to combat messy spills" about Baby Bjorn Bib

The BABYBJÖRN® Soft Bib does what other bibs with pockets only try to do: it catches just about anything that spills from your toddler's mouth (or on the way there).

The design of this bib is so simple, it's brilliant. Made of soft yet rigid plastic, the bib comfortably and flexibly adjusts around your child's neck and bends around to make a pocket which remains distended in front of your child. This pocket is large enough to catch more than an entire meal including several drinks, yet not so large as to impede your child's movement.

The bib's construction allows it to be rinsed quickly and used again immediately.

Together with a high chair with a plastic tray, a whole lot less food and drink end up on the floor! Of course there's a certain amount of spoon waving, food flinging, and dish knocking-over bound to thwart the best design! However, the BABYBJÖRN® Soft Bib will catch a whole lot of food and drink which used to fall into the zone between child and high chair tray.

Until bibs...
...

this2shallpass19 says "What's the point of a pocket if it doesn't catch anything?" about Circo Baby Bib

My son has been trying to spoon feed himself lately, and we've been making a mess! His baby bibs don't fit anymore, so I went to Target looking for a toddler bib. I bought the Circo Baby Bib because it is made out of a plastic-like material that can be wiped off and it has a pocket to catch food that might fall down. It also has a dinosaur on the front, and my son is in a major dinosaur phase right now!

This Circo Baby Bib was $5.99 for only one bib, so I was a little hesitant to buy it at that price, but I bought it anyways. The bib has a velcro closure around the back of the neck like most bibs have. The front of the bib is made out of polyurethane, so you can easily wipe food off of it. There is a pocket at the bottom of the bib that is supposed to catch crumbs, chunks or whatever. I find the pocket to be almost totally useless.

The first time I put this bib on my son, I gave him a muffin to eat and excitedly looked inside the pocket afterwards to see what it collected. ...
...

gnerai says "Easy for me. Comfortable for baby." about Bumkins Waterproof Superbib

There are several different kinds of bibs available and honestly, whatever helps keep the food off of my baby's clothes is wonderful. The thing that I love of the bumkin waterproof superbib is the flexibility. It bends like fabric, it has a pocket that stays open and acutally catches the majority of the food (and drinks) she spits out or drops. The thing that really sets this bib apart from other bibs is not only the pocket, but also hw light-weight and flexible it is. My baby does not need to work at reachng around to get to her sippy cup or her food. It bends as easily as the shirt she is wearing.

It is easy to clean, just wipe it off or rinse it under running water. If the mess is really bad just toss the bib in the washer and hang to dry. I have used this bib as a mom, but I was introduced to it as a nanny. When I got pregnant it was already on my list of itmes to buy for my baby.

AJDMomof3 says "These Gerber Flannel Burp Cloths are great." about Gerber Flannel Burp Cloths

I am a mother of three children. My newest one is 7 months old. I started using the Gerber Flannel Burp Cloths with her.

I find them to be very helpful and farily inexpensive. They are easy to use and clean. They are also large enough to go over your shoulder to help prevent you from getting dirty yourself. They are long lasting and can be washed several times. They don't fray or rip apart because the cloth is very durable.

I have used them since my daughter was born and she's gotten them pretty dirty at times. I have only had to use Dreft detergent on them and they have came clean everytime. The fabric is soft against her skin which is good because she does have sensitive skin.

I have also gotten the Gerber Cloth Diapers which are just as good as these. I use those as burp cloths as well. The middle pary of the cloth is thicker because you can use them as diapers. These are also very easy to clean and are also inexpensive. However you don't get as many in a package.

I highly recommend...
...

J.C. Penney recently joined with designer Sandra Magsamen to create a new line of baby products called Message from the Heart, which includes everything from clothing to nursery decor. One of the cutest items I found in the collection is her set of gender-neutral bibs.

The Messages from the Heart by Sandra Magsamen Bibs are a set of three coordinating bibs on a plastic decorative hanger. Each bib has a Velcro closure on the side for easy attachment and removal. The first bib has an appliqued duck with an embroidered sun on the enclosure...too cute! The second bib has an appliqued cloud and stitching that reads, "Just ducky." And finally, the third bib, which is the simplest, has little yellow chicks on a pale green background. The colors are pastel but not drab, and even my husband thinks they're cute...he doesn't often find things "cute." Sometimes "gender neutral" means "boring," but the design is fresh and contemporary. All three of the bibs are very soft yet feel...
...

kmg1992 says "You Gotta LOVE these bibs!" about Bumkins Waterproof Superbib

My daughter is 15 months old and we started using these bibs when she was only 6 months old. They are still in immaculate condition. They are perfect for a baby's first adventure in food all the way to toddler's spaghetti experiments. They are machine washable and incredibly durable (we have three and rotate and wash them all on a weekly basis and they are still showing no signs of wear or tear). They have a nice elastic closure which means it will just about any baby (only problem is that once they realize how to get them off they may attempt it in the middle of spaghetti experiments ;) ) Another nice feature is the food catch all pocket which ensures that any food that doesn't quite make your child's mouth will subsequently not end up in your child's lap. Finally, they have some really cute designs. It is bit pricey (I believe it was somewhere close to $8 per bib) but for the amount of use we have gotten I am not a bit disappointed.
...

I got a thomas bib as part of a diaper and bib matching set from the mom behind Cooshie Tooshies. I love Kristi and I love her products and I wasn't disapointed with this one! I love the design and quality of the material. It fits Tristian so well, which is just so awesome as usually bibs will not fit around his thick neck. Ever since he was just a few months old most bibs you can get in the store would choke him. So I love that not only does this one fit him but that it features his favorite lovable charecter Thomas the Train. This bib was actually part of my first transaction buying from Kristi of Cooshie Tooshies. She's a wonderful and personable mom to buy from and I love her personal touch and how appreciated she makes me feel as a customer as well as how she gets to know you and will chat with you like a real person.

My thoughtful friend bought my son a whole bunch of goodies from IKEA. One of the items in that assortment were the KLADD Baby Bibs.

The KLADD Baby Bibs come in a pack of five and only cost $3.99! That's only 80 cents per bib! Each bib in the five pack is white terry cloth with a different colored border around the bib. The colors of the bib borders are: yellow, teal, orange, pea green and dark blue. The colors seem suitable for both boys and girls.

These bibs are made out of 80% cotton and 20% polyester.

The Scoop!

I gave these bibs 4 stars because although they are average bibs, the price can't be beat! To me a bib is a bib; I don't need fancy bibs that are just going to get dirty. These are great and I would recommend them to any parent!
...

I was lucky enough to find a Bumkins waterproof bib at a local thrift store, for only 50 cents!! Seeing as they retail for around $14, this was an awesome deal! It wasn't brand new, but close enough.
It is a yellow bib with fish on it. A very cute print.
And it's a very thin bib, so it's not heavy or hot when put on the baby.
This bib has velcro on one shoulder, which makes it very easy to put on and take off.
This bib is definitely waterproof. My son wore it and drenched it and his clothes did not get wet!
I think this bib is great. Bumkins is a great brand, and I have always wanted one of their bibs. I didn't want to pay so much for it, especially withouth seeing one in person first. Now that I have one, I think I will probably get another one!! It is a great bib.
I would recommend these bibs to anyone having a baby. Or even anyone with a toddler. They are so cute, which will make the baby happy. And they work great, which makes mommy and daddy happy!...

I found the "Got Milk" burp cloths at Burlington coat factory. There are three of them in a pack for $4.99, which I think is a great price and I got them because I thought they were cute. Let me tell you, these are the best burp cloths ever made! They are so much thicker than other burp cloths I've bought and they do a great job cleaning my son up. They are very absorbent and have been washed numerous times and are still holding up great. Most other burp cloths I've found tend to start coming apart after a few washes but these are very durable. The only downside is that the only place I can find them is Burlington Coat factory. I've looked elsewhere, but have had no luck. I have bought these for all of my friends that are pregnant because I think that every parent-whether a first time parent or a seasoned pro-should use these for all the messes that little ones can make!
...

I have found the bib I absolutely LOVE. When babies are babies and just starting on baby foods I still stick with soft cloth bibs that can be easily tossed in the wash. I just get a couple dozen and don't worry about them staining. But when they get older and onto finger foods and truly messy stuff, those little cloth bibs don't stand a chance.

Hence the need for the "pelican" style bib (goes around neck, has a pouch to catch food). I had used some of the little plasticy/vinyl ones and not only did they not work, they were ALL made in china and recalled with the whole lead in everything baby scare about a year ago. Hence my search for a better bib.... and I found the Baby Bjorn Bib.

I LOVE these things. They're kind of pricy (I want to say like $18 each?) and only come in three colors (I own two -- one yellow, one green), but they are AWESOME. we bought two for my son when he was 1 1/2 and he's now almost three and they are still in PRISTINE condition despite all the food...
...

After buying and using cotton/fabric bibs and then some cheap plastic/pvc bibs I came upon the Bumkins Bib (Toddler Size Ages 1-3). I'll be honest I did not want to spend that much money on 1 bib. But I gave it a try and am glad that I did. I wish I had bought this bib to begin with and not waste my money on these other bibs that are hard to use. This bib (the Toddler one) is easy to get on and has an extra large size for toddlers and also covers the shoulders. The bib is easy to clean, odor free and stain free. We love it and it is pretty good at catching food that fails to make it in my sons mouth....

These bibs are great. While they cost a bit more than others that are similar, there is a reason for that- they are better than all the rest. They remain clean wash after wash and come clean each time, no matter what baby manages to get on them. They are also large and provide good coverage. While they protect baby's clothes very well, they are super comfy and not cumbersome. The pocket works quite well as opposed to some others, and they are machine washable, which is a huge bonus. They do not fall apart with washes as some other bibs do and they do not fade either. They also stay put when velcroed properly. Overall great product and highly recommended by a mom who has a very messy daughter (don't we all?)!...

I have 2 sons and with my 1st one I was missing out because I didn't know about Bumkins Baby Bibs!! I received one as a baby gift with my 2nd baby. My son is now 10 months old and I have put away all of the other bibs. I have 2 Bumkins bibs that I alternate using and washing. They still look brand new!! They can be wiped off, hand washed or washed in the washing machine. I would highly recommend these!!...

I was so surprised when I had my last baby that a very good friend of mine had found these super cute burp cloths for the new baby. Since we knew what we were having before the baby was born she even made sure that the new baby's name was on them. I thought that they were so adorable and such a sweet gesture by a good friend.
...

calagirl says "I love these burp rags!" about Gerber Flannel Burp Cloths

These burp rags are my favorite! They are made of soft flannel, and are thick. They do an excellent job of absorbing spit-up, even in high volumes. They are made in the style of a cloth diaper, so they provide plenty of surface area. However, the cloth has adorable patterns. My latest purchase is for boys, which came with 2 patterns, one with a sports motif, the other with cute stripes in blue, red, and green on a white background. They even coordinate with Gerber onesies. I purchased some of these for my first child 4 years ago, and I am still using them with my third child today....
