Both of my children suffered from acid reflux. After changing the formula and the bottle it resolved their problems. I tried many, many bottles on the market and this one was one of my favorites! It has the least amount of bubbles which causes the gas build-up in babies. My children's pediatrician recommended the Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle to me when my son was born and it's one we kept around for my daughter who was born 17 months later. They were also very picky with the nipples on the bottles and this one seemed to be their favorite. My only issue was that I had to buy new nipples pretty often but that probably had nothing to do with the product (Just the fact that they were used to their maximum) and that the tube was a little difficult to clean - they do provide you with a small bristle brush to get into the tube and clean it.... overall I'd recommend this product to friends and family that were in the market of buying and trying out new baby bottles.
...

The only bottle my baby would use when we transitioned from nursing to bottlefeeding. Very easy to use. Little air is let into the bottles. Nipple sizes go really high. We didnt have to go beyond size 4. Never leaked! I had to go back and forth because nursring and bottlefeeding because i worked fulltime so it was easy to use this bottle in conjunction with that. I found it easy to transition her to 100% bottle feeding as well. We find that if you don't completely dry off the bottle then it will leak but that is user error but bottle error. We love these bottles and my daughters loves them too. We will continue to use these for the rest of our kids. I think the bottles are the best made bottles. They never got any gas or had any other problems with their belly's because of the bbottles. it was easy to transaition them to sippy cups too. i am not sure if this was due to the greatness of the bottles or not.
...

We got these with my son, and he didn't take a bottle often, but when he did he never had a problem emptying it with these bottles.

I dont' know if the anti-gas factor of these bottles was ever necessary for my son, but I liked that we had it anyway! it can't hurt, right?

The only downside with these bottles is the extra peices to wash. (and we didn't have a dishwasher). But it was fine since he didnt' use them often. and if he did use them often and we had a dishwasher, it wouldn't have been a big deal.
...

FSUgaNole says "Best Bottle Ever and SUPER CHEAP" about Gerber Baby Bottle

We originally purchased much more expensive bottles for my son, now four months old. After about two months he was screaming through his bottles. Out of sheer desperation I used one of the Gerber bottles that we had in the diaper bag for emergency purposes. He loved it and still does. He has pretty bad acid reflux and these bottles are the best. Other bottles have better marketing, that I did fall for, but these are the best bottles ever. We used a different expensive brand for my older son and I wish we would have just gone with these from the very beginning with both of them. These bottles are easy to clean and fit in all of the bottle warmers. They are sturdy. The best is that they are inexpensive enough that I can buy enough to make it several days without washing. The nipple flow is perfect and there is no leakage out of the sides of his mouth. The colors are designed to be gender neutral but I only use the purple lid at home.
...

HaydensMom08 says "Piece of mind and a good price too!" about Mams 8 oz bottle Baby Bottle

When I stopped nursing my son at 4 months I started researching bottles. While pregnant I always assumed I would use Playtex Ventair bottles. They are available everywhere! The more I research though, I found I liked the Mam bottles. They also caught my attention as they were on huge display at Babies R Us. They are BPA free, come in different colors and are very easy to clean.

My son had no problems with the Mam bottles. He never had any problems with gas. I felt that the nipple was easier for him to take compared to some of the nipples on the Playtex bottles. It also seemed like the nipple was closest to the breast.

Even though they are easy to clean, the bottom does unscrew and it can leak sometimes if you don't have it screwed on tight.

I will definitely be using these for any future children that I have. I was so so sad to take my son off the bottle and we tossed them. I really wish that MAM would make sippy cups and other feeding tools.
...

Every parent wants what is best for their child, if you are first time parent or not. I remember being a first time parent was a overwhelming experience. But once you get past the sleep deprivation and the multiple feedings parenthood is truly not that bad. Playtex vent-aire bottles are a budget conscious choice for any parent. These bottles provides colic reduction, along with that they reduce gas along with spit up. These bottles are known to prevent ear infections and also promote your babies overall health. They are extremely cost efficent becase they are reusuable bottles. These bottles have micro-channel vent technology they vent air through the back of the bottle versus through the nipple. This prevents air from mixing with the milk and provides virtually bubble free feeding. these are overall the best choice for any parent. My daughter had extreme problems with gas and spit up. before we tried anything else we decided to contact our pediatrician who then told us about these terrific......

My second daughter was a very fussy, colicky, gassy little baby. We really struggled with finding the right formula when I was not breastfeeding her and she cried a lot her first few months of life. I tried numerous different bottles when I had to go back to work and after spending too much money on different bottles, a friend recommended the Dr. Brown's bottles. I borrowed a few of her bottles to try them out and I was so happy and thankful. I had a happier baby immediately. You cannot put a price on that! I immediately went out and bought a few sets and used them until my daughter graduated to sippy cups. These bottles may seem a little bit pricey, but from experience, I believe that it is well worth it. My daughter was in less pain and it was wonderful to see. These bottles are also a little difficult to clean because they have to many pieces, but again to me it was well worth it!
...

I found that using these MAMS bottle's were very nice after numerous attempts at other bottles, my son wouldn't use any of them, and I hate waisting money. Once we found these we were hooked. I loved that they were BPA free and the even looked cool, my son never had any problems with gas and hardly ever spit up at all. I would say my only "problem" with them would be that there were a couple to many parts that I like cleaning. because you had the nipple, ring, bottle, white seal, and them the bottom of the bottle that the seal went into. So while it was a bit of extra cleaning, overall I believe it was worth it. They were very durable and never had any leeking problems as long as the seal was put in properly. They come in small and large bottles but were jsut got the bigger 8 oz. ones to save on the extra cost and space and just bought the different sets of slow flow nipples and medium then fast flow nipples as he got older. We really enjoyed them and if we have to bottle feed for my next...
...

When I received these bottles at my baby shower my original intent was to take them back. However, I ran out of clean Medela bottles and started pouring my pumped milk into these bottles rather than using the expensive storage bags. Eventually I discovered, much to my surprise, that these bottles will actually screw into the Medala pump system! So instead of getting the Medala 8 oz bottles for $4 ea, I can get the Parent's Choice bottles for less than $1 ea. My son shows no preference for one bottle over the other.

It is very nice that these bottles are BPA-free (as most are nowadays). They come in different colors and designs, both gender-neutral and gender-specific. The ones that I have are contoured, which makes it easier for my son to hold onto his own bottle when eating if he wants. It also makes it easier for daddy to hold onto the bottle to feed him.

We don't have a dishwasher so we have to hand wash these bottles, which isn't a problem since we use a bottle brush.

Paytex Ventaire bottles are great for keeping air bubbles out of little bellies. My son has a hard time eating because he eats so fast the air bubbles were causing him to get very bad sick. He was throwing up his milk and choking on it so bad he could not breathe. We tried the NUK and Dr. Brown bottles that were supposed to be good for air bubble reduction and they made him twice as sick, finally we've bought these and it's about 90% better. He does need a medium flow nipple now, but it is not offered with this bottle type, thats the only downfall....

junk1564 says "Good for a cheap botttle, but only good for much younger babies" about Gerber Clear view bottle with silicone Nippme Baby Bottle

This bottle is a good product in that it is very inexpensive and BPA free. The reason I even decided to try it was because I had a coupon and was able to get it basically free at Target, which is always great because babies can ring up quite a bill! The bottle is 9oz (larger than my daughter was used to) and has a medium flow nipple (targets for 4 months and older). In the past my daughter just used the 5 oz Medela bottles given to me at the hospital, but I thought with the medium flow nipple it might be good for her even though she was much older (about 12 months). I found that I was surprised at the "medium flow" rate. To me it was EXTREMELY slow. It took much longer than normal for her to finish a bottle. So, I only use this bottle when I'm comletely out of my Medela nipples. Some benefits though are that

1. it is very easy to disassemble and clean in the dishwasher

2. I can easily put on a medela nipple (for faster flow) and have it fit tightly with no leaks

The Avent bottles are great for a mom who breast feeds or bottle feeds. I used them with both of my babies who were only fed breast milk. They are very similar to the breast, so they help reduce confusion. I also really like that they are easy to clean. Just throw them in the dishwasher are you're ready for the next round. I don't like to mess with liners because I think they are a waste and are too messy. The Avent bottles also have an adapter to make the bottle into a sippy cup, and that worked great for my kids. They are now BPA free, so with my next child, I will get a new set. But all I had to do from baby 1 to baby 2 was but new nipples for the bottles. (Don't know if you have to, but I thought it might be a good idea.) My babies never seemed to have trouble with gas or colic, and they never really spit up, so I think a lot of that was due to these bottles. They worked great for my family and I reccomend them to anyone.
...

I recently decided to use the Playtex drop ins with my second child. I recieved a few of the bottles for free so just needed to stock up on the drop ins. I found them on sale and all the bottles had coupons for the drop ins so I was set. I really like that you can purchase bottles with designs on them. The bottles are a very durable plastic and can be placed in the dishwasher. With the drop ins there is less mess and cleaning than a regular bottle. When the baby is finished you just throw away the drop in, rinse off the bottle and sterilize the nipple. This to me is much easier than having to use a bottle brush to make sure you got all the nooks and crannies of a regular bottle. These bottles and drop ins come in 2 sizes however I would just recommend getting the 8 oz and using them to save some money on bottles. The nipples and rings are also interchangable so you don't have to worry about matching them back up with the bottle they came on. Playtex was thinking about...
...

Both of my children only would take Avent bottles. I really like the variety of sizes, the differrent flow of nipples, and the interchangeable sippy-cup accessories. The bottles are a little wide, so when my children could hold their own bottles, I used the great Avent handles that they were later able to use with their Avent sippy cups. The sippies are a great transition, since they are still using their bottles, but are learning a new skill.

I feel better about using washable bottles, rather than disposable nursers that produce a lot of waste.

The bottles, nipples, rings, and lids were also easy to clean and sanitize in the dishwasher. They have lasted great through my two children, and I'm getting ready to pass them on to my cousin and her new baby - they're still like brand new!

My children never had problems with gas or spitting up with the Avent bottles. I used them for both breast milk and formula, and later cow's milk and soy milk. I have nothing negative to say about...
...

Playtex Drop Ins Nurser Bottle is the best bottle by far. My daughter is a breast fed baby and this particular bottle is designed most like mother so my daughter took this bottle with no problems. She's never had any gas problems because the liners inside the bottle collapse which helps to prevent gas and fussiness. The liners are reasonably priced and come in 2 different sizes that are great for younger or older babies. They also can be found pretty much anywhere which is convenient. Another reason why I love the Playtex Drop In Nurser bottle is because the bottle uses liners it makes less dishes for me to wash later which is great because washing all the bottle and nipples can be relentless at times. The replacement nipples are very affordable as well and come in different flows such as slow and fast to adjust to your babies growth. This is just a wonderful product that my daughter loves and I would recommend to anyone!
...

Normally I do not complain about things but as a daycare provider I wish parents would stop buying these darn bottles. They are great as far as size however every time I go to put the cover on and shake the bottle it ends up spraying everywhere. Unless you stand on it to turn it they never fit tightly enough to get a good seal. I have wasted many hours changing clothes and cleaning up after trying to make sure the cover was on correctly. It seems to me that the nipples are not large enough to cover the bottle to seal it correctly. I would NOT recommend this brand of bottle to anyone who needs to do things in a short amount of time. I know they say this bottle is good for the babies but not if they are wearing half their formula or breast milk while eating! I think the good old fashion liner and plastic bottles are the way to go and much easier to use. I do not see a difference in the air supplied to the infant with this bottle and wonder what actually they are good for!
...

I chose these bottles originally bacause I was looking for a bottle system that had an anti-colic vent, but not too many pieces to clean. I read about the leaks, but thought that those people were just tightening the collar too tight, or not tight enough, and I could get them to work. Well, I was wrong. My husband and I nearly had fits trying to deal with these bottles. You just do not have time trying to find the perfect setting for the collar when your infant is screaming for food, I even called Avent about the problem, they were very nice, and sent free replacement bottles, as well as a dropin system. No matter, they still leaked. I did some internet research, and found that Gerber Gentle Flow bottles use the Avent nipples, and have the same anti-colic system. They are BPA free also, but it does not state that on the packaging. If you contact them you can verify this. But they are made from a more malleable type of plastic, and do not leak. We have had great success...
...

kcarroll15 says "Love these Bottles!" about Playtex Vent Air Baby Bottle

I LOVE these bottles! We started out with Playtex Drop-Ins, and we got sick of purchasing the liners. From there we tried the Vent Air and have never turned back. When my son was younger, he had gas issues which these bottles prevent air from being taken in. They have a curve in them, which helps and it also makes them easier to hold. They are incredibly easy to clean, they come apart into 3 pieces (top, bottom, middle) so you don't have to use one of those bottle brushes on them. I use a regular sponge. I am very germ concious, and like the fact that you can take it apart to clean out every little crevice! I have been using the same 3 bottles since he was 2 months old, and they look like they are brand new. THey wear well. I just bought 3 more to put into rotation. I started out with a slow flow nipple, and now am using fast. If you need to replace a part, you can just purchase what you need instead of having to buy a whole new bottle.
...

emolik22 says "Nothing can compare to Playtex Drop-Ins" about Palytex Drop-ins Baby Bottle

Playtex Drop-Ins are the best bottles available. They are very clean to use with your baby and they do not require you to use a bottle brush. You just simply drop in the liner and you are ready to go! There are two types of nipples you can use with these so you have the selection from which to chose from. There are also fast-flow and slow-flow nipples to chose from. The nipple is comparable to the real thing. My son had no problem with switching from me to the bottle. It really does reduce the bubbles in the milk when compared to what other brands offer. I used two different sizes as well 4oz and 8 oz, so it grows as your child does. They come with different types of designs that you can choice from and you can also just choose to go with the plain ones if you like. If you are having a baby or you have a newborn at home, this bottle will be the perfect bottle for you! The drop-ins liners are a little costly, but they are well worth it for your baby! After all, it is all about them now!
...

jpratt says "winner" about Palytex playtex nursers Baby Bottle

i have used these bottle with three of my four children, and i love them so much! one of the reason i love them is that they use the disposible liners, this may seem like a waste and costly, but washing bottles in the dishwasher crap usually gets caught in them, that is why i like the liners. also there is hardly any way for air to get into the bottle, you burp the bottle before feeding and then there is no air there for no air in babies tummy.

there are cons to this bottle, like the liners expensive, (you can always buy the off brand), but each bag is already to use and clean, after nursing my kids for a few months after the baby is born, and getting the babies off the bottle by age 1 i feel that the few months of buying the liners that are costly are well worth it. you still have to wash the nipples and rings but you have to do that with other bottles too!.

i have enjoyed using the playtex nursers with my children, and still feel that they are well worth the money for the liners....
...
