i have used playtex bottles with all my children. i love the price. they are easy to clean and easy to feed with. the larger nipple allows me to go from bottle feeding to breast feeding without nipple confusion. the nipple are sold at many places so they are easy to replace. there are both girl and boy designs. and there are different sizes. they come in sets and are sold in singles as well. so if you wanted to try one out on your baby before you buy a whole set to be cost effective you can. the whole bottle comes apart so that you know you are getting the entire bottle clean. i tried many bottles with my daughter( my first child) but this one was her favorite. when my son came along i used platex and nuk. the nuk set was a gift and he liked both about the same. And now that i have another due in just a few weeks :) IT'S A BOY!! i plan on using the same two brands. call me a creature of habit but when you find something that works stick with it. :)
...

i have two little boys the oldest is four and the youngest is two, and i also have another little boy on the way. i used the playtex nursers with both of my children and i absolutly plan to use them for my newest additio. they are bar far the best bottle i have ever used. i tried out many since my oldest had a problem with almost any bottle i gave him. but once i tried the playtex nursers, which were recomended by a friend of mine who has also used the playtex bursers forher eight, and counting, children, he took to it just like that. and as a mother of three growing boys, making sure they are eating enough is always a top priority. so in my opinion, there is nothing to compare to the playtex nurser.
...

I love all of the baby products that Avent makes. I especially love their bottles. Both of my kids have been through many different types of bottlews, but have done the best with Avent. There a ton of features that these bottles offer. The silicone nipple is wide and easy for the baby to get a a good suction. Also, if you read the directions on how to prepare the bottle, you will understand how the bottle has a vaccuum free feature - really cool! The bottle is wide so that when the baby is learning how to hold a bottle, it is easy for him/her to grasp. We also used the same Avent bottle for a sippy cup. Avent has these really cool pieces to replace the nipple. They are not silicone, but more like a soft plastic. They don't leak a lot - a big plus! We also bought Avent handles (pack of two) that you put onto the bottle so that there are handles. A real sippy cup! I find that this a great money-saver, which is great in today's economy. Go for Avent!
...

We are currently using formula. I add water, add powder, and shake. 1 out of every four times I shake the bottle it leaks. It has been so frustrating.

I called Avent and they told me that if I am using formula I need to stir the mixture. The lady that provided instuctions was not friendly. She also said if the bottle continues to leak you can purchase some extra piece? A gasket or something. I am very unsatisfied with this product and I will not purchase it again, and I will not recommend it to a friend.

The bottles would be great if they did not leak. I've bought 3 different packs thinking I bought a damaged pack, but they all leaked. At $15.00 for a pack of 3 I was very disappointed.. I have the older air vent bottles and they work great, I wish I could purchase more of those. I'm out $45.oo and very upset. I will never purchase playtex bottles again and I would recommend that other mom's not buy this product. I wish I looked at this website before making my purchase. The playtex air vent bottles, both kinds are a big waste of money!!!
...

The Soothie bottle from The First Years is a great product. It works wonderfully for those who introduce their babies to the Soothie pacifier while in the hospital following the birth of thier child. My last child took the Soothie while in the hospital and was breastfed for 2 months. Following the breastfeeding he wouldn't take his bottles so I breastfed a little longer. But he always took the Soothie pacifier. Well, one day I was shopping for baby products for him and was looking at the baby bottles and noticed "THE SOOTHIE" bootles. I had never heard of the Soothie bottles, only the pacifiers. So, I looked over at my husband and told him I wanted to try to feed him from these bottles to see if he would feed from those. He said "Can't hurt." We purchased the The Soothie bottles in a 3 pack of 5 ounse bottles. He took right to them. The next week we went shopping and bought the 3 pk of 9 ounce bottles...
...

I recently discovered Nuk Bottles and I love them. I purchased these bottles by mistake, but what a great mistake it turned out to be. My 2 month old baby loves these bottles and now they are the only one she will drink out of. Although can cost a little more than some bottles they are very much worth the price in my opinion and with the 3.00 coupons I recently got in the mail it made them very reasonable. They are supposed to decrease colic and gas and I truly believe that they do, my daughter had a lot more gas beofre I accidently bought these and started using them. The only thing that I wish is that they come in more colors and designs. All the ones that I have found have been the same design and I have only found them in blue, green, and pink. I have recommended these botlles and other nuk products to other moms and they all seem to agree that the nuk brand is great. I wish I had found and tried the nuk bottles when my oldest daughter was a baby.
...

I have used the avent baby bottle with both of my kids. They were so picky about bottles when they were babies. It was the only one they really liked. I'm not sure why but I guess it was the only nipple they could get usded to and stick to it. They are made in England which says on the bottle. But they come in the 4 ounce sizes and the 9 ounce sizes too. We had to go through three different kinds of bottles until they really took the avent bottle. They do cost a lot more money then parent choice or other brands. All stores don't sell them either. I couldn't find them at walmart. But they are at rite aid pharmacy and Meijer stores. We actually saved the bottles too because my wife is expecting to have a baby boy in 3 months. SO lets hope he likes these bottles too. If not we still have are other brand of bottles but mostly just the avent ones. Another good thing about this bottle is it's wide and big, so it's easy to clean with a rag or bottle brush. They aren't skinny and tall like other...
...

Avent is a great brand of bottles. When I had my first son eight years ago I struggled for a month trying to feed him with different types of bottles and he liked none. All he would do was cry, I was frustrated. Being a teen mom and inexperienced I was going crazy that first month was awful. Instead of enjoying it with my new born son I was desperate looking for bottles everywhere. When I took him for his shoots I told his pediatrician what was going on and he commended "AVENT". That same day I ran to the store and bought him avent bottles. He loved them from day one. I was in heaven no more crying no more nights without sleeping. It was great. Two years later I had another son and used the same bottles and never had a problem. Three years after that I had twin boys and still using avent bottles. I have recommended this bottles to everyone I know, I just had a great experience with them that now that my sister had her baby I gave her two sets of avent bottles. ...
...

I love the Avent 9oz. BPA free bottles, but I hate the fact that every time I put the top on, somehow it is always crooked (on every bottle) and it leaks. I dob't think it is me, but again it happens every time. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Also they are a little pricy, but fit within reason to my tight budget. Other wise I like them and feel secure in knowing that they are BPA (Bisphenol A) free. My baby doesn't have any issues with them either. They also clean easily. I have been given a few different types of baby bottles, but the avent bottles are what I prefer, especially due to the BPA free label. I have a 4 month old and plan on having another child within the next few years and I will definitly be using these bottles again. The 4oz bottles I love as well as they are smaller and easier to hold for a small infant. Soon enough my baby will be old enough to hold the bottle on her own and with the curve of the bottle it should be easy for her. On a final note it is also helpful...
...

I have 3 young kids my youngest being 11 months and I love gerber bottles because they are easy to use and they are the only bottles that my children have ever like to eat from. I have tried to use other bottles before in the past and none of my kids would take anything but gerber. The Nuk bottles try to shape the bottle nipples to feel more real and natural. The 8 oz bottle is perfect for older babies because it offers more for the child to drink and gerber brand is nice because they have interchangeable nipples, so as your child grows the nipple is made to fit there age. They come in multiple colors and they are easy to take where ever you go. They are also very inexpensive, compared other name brand bottles they are the best buy for your money. Gerber is a brand that has been around for a very long time and has a great reputation. Gerber is the only brand I trust for my babies, and the only brand I would recommend to my friends and family.
...

The Playtex Drop-Ins Premium Baby Bottles have become our baby bottle of choice in feeding our baby. We have used this particular Playtex Drop-In during the first three months that she has been with us, and it has quickly become the "go-to" baby bottle for me to assist with feeding time. The way that the bottle works, is that it is presented as basically the shell of a baby bottle, with no bottom. A little drop-in pouch is slipped over the top of the bottle, and into that the milk (or formula) is poured. The bottle then allows for the top (the nipple) to be screwed on, and you are good to go. It's as easy as it sounds, and really makes preparing a bottle for the baby that much easier.

The best part about using the Playtex Drop-Ins is that it makes the whole clean-up process that much easier. When the baby is done using the bottle, you simply un-screw the top, discard the drop-in, and wash the nipple. It's a no-muss, no-fuss approach to feeding the baby, and it creates...
...

I am going to be writing a review about the Soothies bottle called " the first years soothie bottle starter kit baby bottle. " I had my first baby and only kid on april twenty-first of the year two-thousand-eight. I bought several different brands of bottles soothie, store brand, the glass bottles, playtex with and with the liners you can buy for this specific bottle (platex). Out of all of those bottles, I just really seem to like the soothies brand better than any other bottles. To tell you the truth it really did help with my babys gas and made him a lot happier. Another thing that I seemed to like about this bottle is that it had the storage compatment for his soothie paccifier! It really seemed to work out perfectly since thats the only pacifier he would take. I like that it had a straw to take the extra air out of the bottle and not buy bags all the time!!! Whenever I have my another baby this will definately be my choice bottle , soothie!!!
...

The Avent BPA free bottles were recommended to me by a friend. These are my first baby bottle as well. I used it for the first 2 months, then found that my baby spit up at every feeding. I changed to playtex nursers and they are better for reducing spit ups.

Cleaning: the avent bottles are easy to clean. easy to assemble. I sterilize them in the avent microwave steamer.

Feeding: these bottles leak if you are not careful! I always turn them to the side and rotate them to make sure there is none or little leakage at the bottle ring before I give it to my baby. I do find that only bottle rings/nipple cause leakage. I have 1 badly leaking bottle out of the 4 bottles I brought.

Price: at about $10 per bottle, it's way too expensive. I recommend Gerber's gentleflow at about $3-4 per bottle. It's basically the same bottle for less. Gerber is made in China though and BPA free as well.

I was a new young mom who was so unsure about which bottles i wanted to use for my newborn son. I was breast feeding so i knew that i wanted a bottle that was as close to as a mothers nipple as possible. Then i found the Avent bottles while shopping at Babies R Us. I fell in love with the look of the bottle so i bought a set of 4oz and 8oz bottles. My newborn absolutely loved the avent bottle. It was as though he didnt know the difference between mothers breast or bottle. I also enjoyed the fact that these bottles never leaked. Alot of bottles leak if you shake them or drop them, but not these avent bottles. I plan on using the Avent bottles when i decide to have another baby. I will never use any other type of bottle except Avent. The Avent bottles are amazing, i loved them, my son loved them, and my fiance didnt mind them either. We were all happy in our decision to go with the Avent bottles.
...

MaryLouMom says "Playtex Ventaire-only if you absolutely need it" about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

After my newborn son had trouble with regular Evenflo bottles, we purchased a Playtex Ventaire because of the wide nipple. He liked it and did well, so we made the investment and purchased several more of the 9 oz size, thinking they'd last until he no longer eats from a bottle. Unfortunately, the numbers are starting to wear off the sides after only a few weeks of use. I place them in the dishwasher every day. Soon I will be unable to determine how much liquid is in the bottle and will be forced to buy MORE bottles! Another con is leakage. Before filling, you must make sure the bottle is absolutely dry and the bottom is screwed on extremely tight, or it will leak. Since my son has no problem with reflux or gas, I can't testify to their effectiveness for those issues.

I would not recommend these bottles for infants who do not have reflux or gas issues. Get a higher quality wide nipple bottle. Even though you'll pay more up front, it will save you money in the long run!...
...

The Playtex drop ins are great bottles to use. There are a few great things I like about this bottle. First being it is really easy to clean. All you need to do is wash out the nipple which is great especially because with a new baby home you have better things to do with your time than scrub out bottles all day. Another thing I love about them is that you can buy new nipples for it so it is really your choice whether you use a latex nipple or a silicone one. You can also buy the nipple for the flow speed you would like. The bottles are also really easy to travel with without having to bring a whole diaper bag full of bottles. I normally bring 1 bottle pre filled with water and throw some extra nipples and liners in a Ziploc baggie grab a bottle of water or two and the formula and I am set for the day. The only down fall is that the liners can get expensive but other than that I love the bottles.

bookletgeo says "They don't work like they used to..." about Playtex Drop-Ins Original Nurser Baby Bottle

When I was in high school I babysat for some babies that I kept on a regular basis and we used Playtex Drop-Ins back then. The liners were a little hard to use, but they did a great job of shrinking up and keeping the air out. The new liners are easier to use, but they don't work very well at keeping any air out. I tried several different bottles with my little guy to see which ones would keep him from being gassy. These didn't help at all. That, combined with the fact that you have to keep purchasing the liners and the expense of that can get crazy made me decide not to keep using these. We use Playtex VentAire Advanced. My son likes them, they are easy to use and not hard to clean at all.
...

bookletgeo says "They are probably great but my son hates them" about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle

My now 6-week old son was switched from breastfeeding to exclusively being fed formula around three weeks of age due to some issues we were having. He was always very gassy, but formula made him even more so. We started putting Mylicon drops in his bottle, but I thought it would be nice not to have to do that, so I bought one of these bottles to try. I gave my son a bottle of formula without the drops to test it out. I had to really coax him to eat the formula out of this bottle. I did notice that he was less gassy, even without the drops. After several times of fighting with him to eat out of this bottle, I've decided it's not worth it. For whatever reason, he won't take to it. I thought it might be that the formula tasted different without the drops, so I even tried adding them back in, but he just hates this bottle. He even cries when I try to use it. We have just gone back to the Playtex VentAire Advanced that he likes & will keep using the Mylicon.
...

Tlaws32837 says "I love the Soothie baby bottle set." about The First Years Soothie Baby Bottle

I am a new mother and knew nothing about bottles before now. I had chosen to breast feed and had purchased th First Years breast pump. I needed to have bottles that were compatable with my pump so I bought the First Years Soothie Bottle Starter Kit. The kit was very nice because of all the different items it came with. It came with three different sized bottles to use as baby grows; all of which fit perfectly in my pump. The bottles have silicone nipples that have a slow flow so that a newborn does not get too much milk all at once. The kit also came with lids for easy milk storage. It came with a pacifier that has the same shape as the bottle nipples, which baby loves. The kit also came with a bottle brush that fits the Soothie bottles very well, making cleaning the bottles a breeze. I also bought many of the other First Years feeding products and I couldn't be happier with them.
...
