rjrx2k says "This camper leaked everywhere" about Jayco Eagle RL28 - 2004

From the first day we brought the camper to our seasonal site we had water leaks. Every holiday we had a water leak either from the hot water tank or a line a joint. Numerous repairs that ruined our camping experience. We had a constant propane leak from lines that were run under the tank against the metal brackets. We had a shower leak from behind the wall from a cut made at the factory that run over the furnace electric board. The grey water sewage line leaked into the storage compartment. We had no problem with Jayco paying for repairs but there were way too many. — Our awning was junkie had to rig it so it would stay up. — We liked the look of the Jayco but would never recommend one to anyone. We have since purchased a new one. — ...

Jo says "A list of RVs: Which one is right for you? Part II" about Choosing a Recreational Vehicle: Pop Ups to Class A Motorhomes

In the last 21 years we have owned three recreational vehicles. The first one was an easy decision. The last two weren't quite as easy. Perhaps what I have learned over the years will help you. What will help is to give you a brief synopsis on each type of RV and the price range. Just by reading what kinds are out there and how much they cost might help you either eliminate one or put it on your "good possibility" list. — — Some of this repeats Part I. I felt I had to repeat some information to both make this complete and in case you don't read Part 1. — 1.	The Pop Up or Tent Trailer is the first one we bought. We had camped with tents for a summer but 4, 7 and 9 year olds it seemed too hard. This was before family style tents. Leaving my two young girls in a tent alone never felt right. We bought our Pop Up used and traveled with it for 6 years. We chose the Pop Up because it was the least expensive, easiest to pull trailer on the market and for the money had...

Have been thru Jayco's, Four Winds and others - finally got smart and went with a luxury unit that is priced for the average couple. Style, well built and affordable makes the Winnebago Outlook Class C is a class act. We have a beautiful home but this RV has some ammenities that we don't even have at home! Highly...

Jcrsmom says "Great Value for a travel trailer with bunks and slide out" about Jayco Jay Flight 29BHS Travel Trailor - 2007

Jayco has ample storage for all of your RVing needs. This is a great family camper that can sleep 8-9+ if small children are included. Comes with a radio with surround speakers, that's a nice feature to have. The fabric choices are pleasant and not like older campers that go out of style. The counterspace is one of the best found in trailers and it's in the corner where you can stack clean dishes without fearing they will fall off of the counter. — This camper tows better than our pop up did. You barely know it's there while driving down the highway at 60 mph. We tow this with a 1/2 ton SUV. Great trailer for a great price! —...

kbcmmom says "Perfect for Single mom with 4 children" about Viking Legend Travel Trailor - 2006

After my divorce I decided I wanted to share my the travel and camping experience from my childhood with my own children. I knew I couldn't tent camp as my parents had done. This was a wonderful alternative. There is plenty of sleeping and storage space so we are not cramped all over each other, but it is light enough to pull with my Ford Freestyle. My children are 12, 9, 6 &4. They absolutely adore the experiences and love this camper. We went without the toilet feature in lieu of storage space and went with the model that has a long couch across from the dinette. It provides us with more sleeping areas. There is enough room for us all to stay indoors on a rainy day, use the screen room, etc. It is rustic enough to provide us with a camping experience, but modern enough to have creature comforts. We intend to travel again next summer and hope someday to upgrade to a larger model...

Thea says "Good Value for the money!" about Fleetwood Phoenix Flyer RV - 1998

For those of you interested in purchasing a Fleetwood RV: — For an RV that is nearly 10 years old, we are very pleased that the major appliances are still performing like new! So far, there has been no need for replacement OR repair of our Coleman air conditioner, our Dometic refrigerator, the water heater, the holding tanks, or the plumbing. — We have a Triton V10 engine with over 115,000 miles on it. It's a well-maintained engine, and with this many miles on it, remarkably It doesn't burn any oil! It's in excellent condition! — The only downfall is the exterior. It has dulled and yellowed here in the desert heat and in our travels over the years. This is more than likely our fault because we didn't put a protective coating on it when we first purchased it used several years ago. — I highly recommend the Fleetwood manufacturer in your consideration for your next RV! — ...

flafyresqr says "Good value for the money...." about Damon Intruder 383 Class A RV - 2007

In Jan. O7, we decided to trade up from our 2003 Coachman Mirada, 34' class A to a larger, newer Motorhome. After doing some research and on-the-lot browsing, we chose a Damon Intruder 383. This model featured three slides( dining/living super slide, bed silde and wardrobe slide. Overall performance and comfort of this class A rates a 8.5 out of 10. The only downside we have experienced, is the lack of quality control at the factory. It would appear that final cleanup and punch lists are lacking. For example: dozens of left over screws, bolts, wire, construction debris left under cabinets, slides, etc. — The Damon website is very informative and has many videos available for all phases of manufacture. There is alot of quality, found in much more expensive rv's, that Damon incorporates as standard features. Being a Ford fan, we went with the ford chassis and the triton v-10 motor...

Jo says "The Sunline Solaris takes us cross-country and back." about Sunline Solaris T-2499 Travel Trailer - 2006

We traded in our Sun-Lite Travel Trailer after traveling for 91 days and then buying an SUV that would pull something heavier. We chose the 2006 Sunline Solaris T-2499 (The numbers equal the length so it’s almost 25 feet.) — I will get into the features which in combination with the length made us fall in love with the Sunline. — — ~The T-2499 is 25’ 10" long. That is the exterior length and when buying a trailer the number to which you should pay attention. That number is bumper to hitch. — — ~It is 8’ wide. — — ~The interior height is 6’ 6" high. — — ~The trailer weighs 4785 pounds. (UVW) This is the weight of this trailer as manufactured at the factory. It includes all weight at the trailer axles. — — ~It has a carrying capacity of 7000 pounds. (GVWR) This is fully loaded. — ~It will hold 40 gallons of fresh water. — — ~It will...

Jo says "Sun-Lite worked for us for 91 days on the road." about Sun-Lite 210 RDB Travel Trailer 2003

After having a pop-up tent trailer while the kids were growing up, we were ready to buy a travel trailer. Our first one was the Sun-Lite 210-RDB. (RDB stands for rear double bed.) — Some background information: — — One reason we chose the Sun-Lite was because we didn’t want to replace our Chevy S10 truck so the weight of the trailer was a major factor. The second factor was the layout. We liked this one the best in the size and prize range we were looking at. — — Specs: — — We chose the 21-foot trailer. The trailer had everything we needed. — — ~The 210 RBH is listed as 22'2" long - that includes the hitch area. — ~It is 70” wide. — ~The interior height is 6 1/2'high. I know that doesn’t sound high, but one we were in barely cleared my husband’s head and he is 5'10" tall. — ~It has a carrying capacity of 1260 pounds. — ~The tire size is a...
