Hi I'm Captain Jay Withers... I'm a full time fishing guide and professional tournament angler. As owner of Silver Lining Charters I put over 250 days a year on the water and fish in more then twenty fishing tournaments a year. So my office is my boat. If its not
working then I'm not working!! Thats why I buy all my boats from Ingman Marine, they are all about customer service after the sale. I highly recommend you visit them if your looking to purchase either a new or used boat, you will be glad you did....

Jo says "A perfect Day Trip with the Carlisle Paddle" about Carlisle Day Tripper Paddle

I reviewed a terrific beginner's kayak by Old Town. It is the Loon Tandem.

As terrific as the kayak was the Carlisle Day Tripper paddles were just as terrific.

What I liked about the Day Trippers

The Day Tripper paddles are not symmetrical meaning they are not flat which you can see in the picture. The point of this design is that paddling becomes effortless and efficient. When we wanted to stop the kayak at that moment (for me to get a picture of a water lily) using the paddles we could stop immediately. The Carlisle Day Trippers took us where we wanted to go.

At a little of two pounds carrying a couple of these was a piece of cake. I really liked the fact that with a push of a button the paddles can be turned 60 degrees or for right and left handed control. The paddles were very comfortable to hold since they were light. The shaft is aluminum and it is oval which is why I think along with being light they were comfortable to hold.

The paddles get a lot of use but were in fantastic...
...

Jo says "Old Town's Loon 15 Tandem Kayak is the best in which I've been" about Old Town Loon 15 Tandem Kayak -

To the Point

We were recently camping in New Hampshire on Danforth Bay. Twice we took out the Loon 15 T Tandem Kayak by Old Town. This is a two person kayak thus the name Tandem.

A Closer View

We've gone kayaking many times. I think the Loon was the best kayak we've had for a number of reasons.

There was so much leg room and space in the front under the hull.

The seats were comfortable and adjustable even after a couple of hours my butt nor legs were numb.

It was sturdy and steady going through the water easily.

It had a dry compartment and an area on the top on which you could strap whatever you wanted.

It is considered a beginner's paddler who want a short and stable boat.

Two of us could carry it to the water and then put it back up on the rack for kayaks and canoes.

The Loon 15 T Tandem Kayak by Old TownTandem has a sliding bow seat and extended foot peg tracks so you can paddle alone if you want.

romanoffl says "Not great for liveaboards, but good to play on." about Bayliner Buccaneer - 1972

My boyfriend and I recently purchased a 30' 1972-ish Bayliner Buccaneer. Compared to the other sailboats I have been on, not much has been done to maximize interior space. The forward berth doesn't comfortably sleep two adults, unless one was under five feet tall and had no problems with claustrophobia. We purchased the sailboat with the intent to live on it, saving money on rent while he is in college. However, it is barely big enough for one person to live aboard, and definitely not two. We'll have to tear out a lot of the interior and build a berth in the aft to make it liveable. However, my boyfriend, who is 6'1", appreciates the ample headroom (well, ample is relative - it's a fair bit for a sailboat, but not a lot for landlubbers like me. :) )

However, just for toodling around the bay, she's fine. Easy enough for one person to sail solo, anyway, and a breeze with two of us. I'd recommend this boat for economy for those looking for a boat to sail, but definitely not for liveaboards....
...

The most important thing to do first is READ THE INSTRUCTIONS & warnings. Use this product in a well ventelated area, or outdoors. Do not let it come in contact with skin or eyes. It's best to wear protective rubber gloves.

That being said...I just used this product on the chain gaurd of my Schwinn Restoration Project. WOW! It definately removes surface rust. However, it does not remove deeply pitted rust. It's still a 100% improvement. The proof is in the pictures. It's best to use a brass brush, not steel. Steel on a chrome surface will only scratch & pit it more.

If you've got a project that requires removing rust, give this a try. About $3.99 a bottle at Home Depot.
...

A really great buy starts every time with no problems at all, a good investment, I bought online and beat out all the competition here on Cape Cod motor-motor. When I bought the nearest prices were for last years models from other dealers. I use the motor in salt water on Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket sound, allways dependable, never a problem....

We had this machine for a while and I tell you, that for water activities and fun in general it could not be anything better. We all just love to ride it: my son, my husband and me. And you could ride it... it seems like forever. It doesn't use that much gas either. I tell all my friends to get one and join the Fun Club!!! So far, no complaints from my family. Just joyful experiences altogether....

Zatara says "Is there really much better?" about Mastercraft X2 Speed Boat - 2007

I had the opportunity to wakeboard behind a 2007 X2 this past summer. As my first experience I have to say that it was an amazing boat. Mastercraft is definately the industry standard. From sheer performance to unique design features, the X-series of Mastercraft wake boats cover their bases. From the "pickle fork" front end of the boat to the 300+ hoursepower engine, it has it all. The swivle board racks make it easier than ever to store your boards on the tower. The wrap-around seating provides a maximum usage of valuable space on the interior of the boat. It's equipped with a solid sound system and there is a remote on the ski step - it is a great feature. My favorite part of this boat is when you are being towed behind on a wakeboard. It effortlessly pulls you out of the water and is able to keep a seady speed very easily. The wake shape is rampy but doesn't throw you too hard. It is easier than ever to add a little more style to your grabs and height to your wake to wake airs. I hope......

cassiesmom says "You won't want to leave the water!" about Baja 212 Islander power boat - 2003

This is our second 212 Islander Baja that we have owned. We upgraded to a newer one and absolutely love it. We like the open bow concept and the roominess of the boat itself. We were disappointed to find out that Baja has done away with this particular model. If we want a newer boat now, we either have to downgrade or go up a level and we don't like the inside set up and seating as well as we do the 212....

I have a pair of these guys. NIce ski's, and supposedly seat two, but get real unstable with 2 people on it. I think the newer PWC are a lot more stable. Not good for pulling someone on a tube, knee board, or wake board... too unstable. But they are still a good time for a single rider, and are very maneuverable, and when you totally dump one upside down, its very easy to right. ...

Purchased this as our first boat. Great Value! We absolutely love it. We love to entertain, and alway have a boat full. This boat handles everyone beautifully! It is hard to ski behind because of the large wake and the number of ponies (a few more would help you pop out of the water), but it handels the water with ease. Would recommend this boat to anyone, and would certainly buy another!...

I bought this seadoo with only 13 hours on it and have already spent a bunch of money on it. Besides the yearly maintenance, new battery and miscellaneous items, expect to spend money on other items as well. the steering cable broke and no where will sell me just the screw that broke. Of course, I have called everywhere and looked online. Then the wakeboard pole on the back fell out. I can't believe it. Again, no one will just sell the pin, and the enitre unit costs 300 bucks!!!...

I got my jetski the summer of 2002 and have only put 12.4 hours on it so far. My experience with my Polaris has been overall positive. As long as you perform simple, routine maintenance on it, it will run well and last you a long time. The only problem I've experienced was last year when the oil level sensor went out. It was only about $80 to replace it and is something they told me can go bad after years of heat exposure. Other than that, it's been very reliable. Just stay away from hydrilla and rocky sandbars!...
