This 2003 honda is a great motorcycle for anyone either just getting into it or even long time, expeirianced drivers. It is a must get motorcycle for all types of people. there are just so many interesting things about this bike. to be honest with you, i am only writing this reveiw so i can get points for a website that is paying me. I am only making this review so long because if it is not over 900 charactors long then it doesnt count twords anything and it would be completely pointless to even right this. I love riding dirt bikes more then street bikes. dirt bikes are fun to take with you on camping trips or anywhere with open land or a track and a few jumps. My very first dirt bike was a honda CRF 150. i road it as much as i could. i bent the handle bars 3 times and i bought "unbendable" handle bars but i bent them just falling over after a jump. They LIED!!!!! well thats about 900 characters so thanks for listening.
...

When I was injured in Iraq I never thought I would be able to ride again. two years later I went to Harley to see if I could even pull a clutch back and discovered I could, it was then I knew I had to start riding again. It had been so long and with my injury it has been like having to learn all over again and this bike has been GREAT! it is supercomfortable, handles like it is on rails, and has more power than i know what to do with. I got her used and added some after market pipes and a Screaming eagle intake and wow, I never knew what I was missing till now. Its a great mid price range cruiser and is great for anyone of any skill level.
...

Triumph, the tradition goes back how many decades? The Tiger, the Bonneville, the Triton Preunit construction, single unit construction. Allthe makings of a Triumph. When I was in high school, back in the 60's, a friend had a 64 Triumph. when he got out of the Army, before I went into the Marine Corps, he had the engine blueprinted. Hot, he didn't just ride, he flew.

I had a 62 T120, raucous old mixture of a Tiger and Bonneville. Even in the sad shape that poor bike was in, it still traveled the roads of the gods. To own a Triumph is to own the key to travel the roads of the gods.
...

I'm a 47 yr. old woman, been riding motorcycles since I was 10. Had a Honda CT70 as my first bike, a Yamaha 80 for my second, and then my older brother's had pretty much destroyed anything bigger than that. So, I went on to be girly, grew up, got married, and after years of raising my kids still had the yearning to ride. My husband thought it would be a saving grace for our marriage, and went out and bought dirt bikes for all but me. I got a Yamaha 350 Warrior (4 wheeler) which don't get me wrong I loved, and I know he just didn't want me getting hurt. But...you really can't have as much fun on a 4 wheeler. To shorten this story, a divorce happened, and 6 yrs. later I purchased my first street bike. Went to the local college, took the rider safety course, and bought a Harley Davidson 883c Sportster.

It was kinda weird at first, I thought riding a street bike sure "looks" a lot cooler than this feels. It was as if I was on a "street" dirt bike? They sit up kinda tall and skinny, they're...
...

I have to say that I really did love this bike, I owned one from 2002 to 2005! Easy to handle and comfortable, with enough power to get me up the grades to Mammoth!

People thought I was riding a harley, lol.. I was so grateful that I paid a fraction of what it would have cost me for a harley.

Great gas mileage, I rode it everywhere! with the weather in Ca. and this bike. Oh My, I was in heaven!

I traded up in 2005 and am still riding. But I will always miss the ride of my Yamaha V-Star 650. (mine was a 2002) So I know the 2008's Must ROCK!

If your looking for a motorcyle which requires little or no maintaince, this is the Bike!

the review i wish to leave is that the bike is very nice.the sale of the bike was a very easy one.I have owned the bike for 1 month 2 weeks 4 days. The bike had a problem so i brought it back to where i bought it.they did not fix the maine problem but fixed a different problem which was ok till i brought the bike back again. Now this bike is brand new is under full warranty. Now when i bring it back this time they park my bike in the back room until they feel like working on it,this being at tri sports in topsham.they did not mind taking my 12thousand dollars but were in no rush to fix the problem that should have been fixed the first time. I bought a new bike so i could ride without having to deal with this stuff.I am a mechanic myself and when something goes wrong with what we do or sell that takes priority always. So my reveiw is as such, tri sports sales was great but there service is in my opinion to be the poorest i have ever seen and would not recomend anyone to do business with them...
...

The baja 70cc dirtbike that you can buy at tractor supply for under 500.00 is a great bike. My husband and kids and even myself ride it all the time. it will go up to 65 mph. takes hills, gravel, ruts, everything great. We have put over 3000 hours on ours and we have never had to do work to it excpet when we ran it into a mud puddle that was deeper then the bike tall. that was still fun we just drained the water out of the carbs and it started right back up. couple of screws and it was ready to go again. we own honda, yamaha and others and this is by far the best one as far as speed, price, and upkeep. 1/4 gallon of gas gets about 100 miles
...

PsychoticReader says "Great intermediate ride that is well balanced" about Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic - 2007 Motorcycle

The 2007 Yamaha Silverado has a very comfortable weight and balance that is quite affordable for the intermediate bike range. Even with the big screen, the big trucks don't push the bike around too bad and with the low seat height, most riders can balance the bike with the knees.

I'm 5'9" and one of the chief complaints I have is with the location of the handlebars. I can't roll them back far enough to be comfortable (which may be the caused by the installation of the Mustang seat) and need to install a 1" riser to bring them up and back.

The bike winds up nicely, but I am looking for a 6th gear. Not for lack of throttle, just to bring the RPMs down.
...

I've owned one since 2007, and have ridden both local and cross country trips. Beautiful ride, great balance, wonderful power, great looks, and no problems to date at 10,000 miles. Gets comments and stares everywhere you go.

The one complaint I have, is that Harley should know that changing out OEM parts for after market is a given for many, if not most riders. The most common changeovers being air cleaners, pipes, and seats.

On the Deluxe, the riders seat has a beautiful vintage look grab rail running around the back of the seat. Unfortunately, H.D. designed it so that the rail is bolted to the seat itself, making it difficult to go with an after market seat without losing the rail.

If you customize the existing seat in order to keep the rail, you can't remove the skirt without the ugly bolts which attach the rail to the seat, showing.

With a little ingenuity, it can be got around but Harley should have thought of that.
...

Suzuki M109R Boulevard has got to be one of the most powerful cruisers on the roads today. With a stock 130 horsepower, clean lines, and a rumble that can't be missed from miles away, this bike is a powerhouse for the experienced rider. Not to be mistaken for a Harley Davidson, the sleek new 109-cubic-incg Boulevard could be the strongest of the big twins.

Suzuki wanted to build the most powerful cruiser, and the message was very clear on who the bike would be aimed at. With models in their extensive range already that cater to the dedicated touring guys, they wanted a machine that would tickle the taste buds of experienced riders, and not just riders from the cruiser world. As a company that is so heavily linked to racing and high performance, Suzuki decided to use some of their own championship-winning road racing technology to also attract the experienced sportbike rider looking for a different experience: Mature riders who aren't willing to sacrifice performance or compromise...
...

Excellent bike with enough height just to make it fun for a shorter person. I tried a new WR250 by Yamaha, and it was just a tad too tall, and I'm 5'8" and 215. I'm too short, and I couldn't make it squat.

The Kawasaki KLX250S is great on gas, was affordable, and it just plain fun to ride. Bottom end is decent on the trails, but could use to drop a tooth up front. Max speed is right around 73-75mph, so it can work on the highway. MPG is about 58-72 depending on how it gets ridden. But, even at its worst, it's almost three times better than my truck...

Anyway, if you're lookin' for a little dual-sport to commute on or play in the dirt on the weekend, take a long, hard look at the Kawasaki KLX250S.
...

Just picked my 650 classic up the other day. Use it instead of my truck for errands and to and from work. What a gas saver !!! Live in Hawaii so will use it all year.. Has plenty power and I agree with the 6th gear. Looked at 750 honda, kawasaki 500 harley 833 and overall for the price looks and ride, I had to make the choice I did. The bike is close to ground, so looking into the oil level glass that is restricted by foot rest means you must lay on the ground and level bike. I am 60 years old and that is one thing I do not like.

I am a master mechanic for 23 years now and actually rode Husqvarna CR250cc bikes hard when I was 17 and 18 years old. I have a very meticulous process when it comes to maintaining any mechanical thing. This model is no holds barred; an excellant mid size sport touring bike. The only problem I have encountered with it so far in 5,000 miles of riding is; fuel perculation causing no starts and lean running, in temps above 82 farenheit after ridng it for 30+ minutes and then restartng and riding it before it had fully cooled down. I had to put aluminized sheet fiberglass adhesive insulation on the entire underside of the fuel tank to prevent this condition and after doing that it is fine. I found the product through a Yamaha dealer; when they were trying to resolve this hot stumble misfire rough running problem after riding and shutting machine off and then attempting to ride it again before it cooled off. The symptom moved into a cranks no start after showing signs of stumbling two times;......

I have had to fight with BMW on almost everything to get fixed under warrenty. Even to get my phone calls back from corprate I had to fill a complaint with the BBB. DO NOT BUY BMW!!!

Yamaha V-Star 650 is a good bike for the price tag that's associated with it. When I first looked into buying a new bike, I looked at all manufacturers. The one that really stood out as the best value was the Yamaha V-Star 650. For a couple thousand dollars more, you can buy a stripped down Harley Sporter, or you can save the money and get a bike that looks good out of the show room and spend the money personalizing it and end up with the bike you want, rather than a name on a gas tank.

I have the "Classic" with the raven paint & flames. I have stripped all the badges & decals off the bike and replaced the handlebars, grips, exhaust and have a few more tweeks that I want to add before my bike is truly mine and when I am finished, I will not have spent as much a buddy of mine, who helped me work on my bike and now wants to trade his harley in for one. People stop me frequently to ask me what kind of Harley I have!! With the popularity of import cruisers, after market parks have become readily...
...

scottasota06 says "AWESOME BIKE" about Harley-Davidson Road King Classic - 2009 Motorcycle

I went to Bikeweek in Daytona this last weekend and had no plans at all to purchase a new bike. For the last year I have been riding a Honda VTX 1300 R and have been very pleased with it. I was just looking around and bike and came across the 09 Road King in Gold Flake Pearl/Pewter. I immediately fell in love with the looks. The salesman came up to me and made me an offer and couldn't refuse and ended up riding it out the door that friday night. My plan was to stay at Bikeweek until Sunday.....but I just couldn't wait to get that bike out on the road. I rode most of the day saturday around Daytona and then decided to ride it back home that night. I made the 200 mile trip across the state and it was like being in heaven on 2 wheels. The only negative I have about the bike is the stock seat is a little tall for my small 5'9" frame and my feet barely touch the ground. I will have to have it lowered or purchase a lower profile seat. After the ride home, I didn't have that......

Casserole says "A Civilized Beast" about Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic - 2007 Motorcycle

My Yamaha V Star 650 Classic is pearl white and definitely commands quiet admiration and respect -- unlike the more gawdily turned out bikes out there. Be careful not to tack on too much jewelry or studding, since Yamaha's done a great job designing this classic beauty, with just enough brightwork to generate oohs and aahs (instead of "Holy Cr*p!"). Yes, it does get mistaken for a (much, much more expensive) Harley-Davidson, and I've even seen some V Star Classics with H.D. insignias attached (shame!). This civilized but powerful beast is in its own class and is no H.D. wanna-be. The fit and finish is exceptional. The handling, shifting and throttling are smooth as silk. The pipes don't scream, that's true -- but they do sort of growl, which is kind of cool, actually. 505 pounds is far lighter than an 1100 or 1300, and the handline reflects it -- but it looks like a beefy/brawny and much heavier bike. And maybe it's just me, but there's something oddly amiable and proud about this Veester.......

I've had this bike for almost two months . I bought it as a 2007 leftover . From the time I pulled out on the interstate for the first time, this bike let me know from the beginning that its no bike for first time riders . I'm use to being a honda rider , in fact , I've riden about all Big bore Honda sportbikes from 2000 on up . I havent riden a Honda yet or Suzuki that can match the power of this bike . The power is so linear and to think , It's stock .You will never be able to drag race this motorcycle unless you exstend the swingarm because you will never be able to keep this bike down , too powerful .....
