kauton says "Best Vehicle I have ever owned!" about Honda LX - 2004

If you are looking for the perfect family vehicle... this is IT! Maybe you are one of those people who have said, "I will never drive a minivan!" Well, get ready to change your mind. I was one of those people and after test driving my minivan, I was willing to swallow my pride and make the purchase. I am so glad I did! It was the best vehicle purchase I have ever made!

Along with the amazing comfort of the driver's seat, the two captain seats in the back, and 18, yes 18, cupholders, this minivan has lots of extra features that are designed especially for families. It is so nice to be able to open the side doors with just a touch of a button on my key chain. The kiddos can just hop right in while I load up the groceries, baseball gear, or the cooler after a picnic in the park.

The continued service that we have received from Honda Dealership Service Departments continues to prove that purchasing a Honda is always worth the extra money! Gotta love a Honda!
...

shoegirl24 says "Disappointed." about Mitsubishi Lancer - 2003

After owning the Mitsubishi 2003 Lancer for a few years, I have become completely disappointed with the ability of this car to hold up long-term. I need a car that I can depend on for years, and unfortunately my Lancer has become completely unreliable after only six years. The car started out fine and I was loving the short turning radius and accelaration capabilities of the car, but right after my warranty ran out (around 60,000 miles), it began to have problems the transmission and the check engine light came on constantly. Recently, one of my climate control knobs fell off, and I found out from my mechanic that this is a common problem with Lancers. Apparently Mitsubishi even knew about the problem and issued a statement to their dealers, but did not issue a recall, which leaves all of us that have this issue with around a $1000 bill to have the entire climate control board replaced (which is what has to be done in order to replace the knob). I think this is shady business, and I will...
...

so we bought this dodge last year because we needed to get ride of our audi....which i loved! but the check engine light stayed on for a couple of years so at last it was time for a new vehicle. Although it looks cool it is really just a shell of a car. Its an imitation charger. The turning radius in it is extremely poor to be generous. my husbands ford explorer had a better turning radius then this dodge and it was an suv. It is however very roomy inside which is one thing we do like. oh and we like the feature of having the little cooler inside the dash.... we generally just use it for extra storage though. The gas mileage is great but lately we have been having some problems with the rpms going up and down randomly...of course that would happen right after our 30,000 milage warrently was up. So off to the shop it will have to go, i guess better now then waiting to see if there is any hidden damage later on.
...

zebrachicy says "Worst car I've ever owned" about Ford Freestar - 2005

We bought this minivan new in 2005 and it has been the worst car we have ever owned.

We have already put so much money into this car and it seems like it just won't stay running for very long these days without there being a problem.

We only have 53,000 miles on it and at 40,000 miles, we were just driving on the busy, city highway, the car wouldn't accilerate anymore. It just died in the middle of the highway (very safe!!!). The transmission was totally gone in a 4 year old car with only 40,000 miles on it. So the cost of the work was over $3,000 and we were without a car for about a week which wasn't easy for the family. It was $3,000 for a refurburished, Ford transmission that is under a 100,000 warranty. We'll see how long the refurbished one lasts when then new one didn't make it much past 40,000.

The quality is so poor on this car. Everything about it is made very cheaply and things break easily.

The good thing about this car is that it has leather seats and it had a DVD...
...

RanalLee says "Surprisingly fun to drive" about Toyota 4Runner - 2005

When it was time to get a new car I thought I knew what I wanted, and the 4-Runner wasn't it. I test drove a lot of other SUV's, but didn't really LOVE any of them. I reluctantly test drove the 4-Runner and immediately fell in love. It is comfortable, and surprisingly fun to drive - doesn't feel like you're driving an SUV. It is peppy and turns on a dime. It's also very quiet, not a lot of road noise. I have a V8 all-wheel-drive. Didn't think the AWD would be something that I'd really need, but can't imagine not having it now. I've never had a problem getting through snow, even snow that's over a foot deep. It also has a traction control system that senses what tires are not gripping and sends more power to the tires that have more traction - because I've this, I've never "fishtailed". My husband doesn't like this feature because he likes to play in the snow and it won't let him do donuts :-)
...

i got a deal lol... on my caddy it's a flex fuel and i pay about 1.98 a galllon for fuel for my suv i really don't like suv's for me! but if you have alot of kids there great !i have one child so i really don't have need for big cars. but i'll tell you i had a freind gm employee for many years put a supercharger in this baby and headed to the back roads and i'll tell ya my suv hauls ass like a corvette it now has over 600 hp and boy did she burn rubber and it still only cost about 40.00 $ to full it up with ethanol ! BUT if i use super it'll cost allmost 80.00$ to fill so deffitnelly worth the flex fuel package with some carefull trip planning it's good . bose radio sounds really great the display dims and or shuts off at night wich helps me cause i can't see a damn thing anyway didn't expect to spend 73,000 at the car dealer but i did. i like that it has tire pressure scensors cause i never cheak them anyway (really stupid bad habbit). happy trails
...

What I love about my Hyundai Tiburon is it's fun to drive, low to the ground and sporty. It offers a comfortable ride with 17" low rider tires. Also has a great hatchback with back seats that lay down for big storage area. I recently purchased a kitchen island and it fit in the back of my car...amazing space. This car also has a sun roof and a fair amount of storage space. Another feature with the automatic transmision is that it also offers an optiontional manual shifting for those times that you need to accelerate quickly to pass a car or decelerate going down a mountain. This is a unique function that I have used several times and really like. The thing I don't like about this car is the size of the backseat - it is only big enough for children. An adult struggles to fit in the space.
...

The 1996 Grand Marquis made by Mercury happens to be a very great car in overall. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of Minor problems with this car. For instance the biggest problem I've noticed about the car is the front bumper. Man what a waste of fiber glass. For some strange reason all of the Grand Marquis cars made from 94 to 96 has a bumper that just irrates a grown man in ways unimginable. The bumpers on these cars are so low to the ground that you might go to get in your car one day and see that your front light fixtures are expose or maybe the whole front bumper is hanging or missing. Thats just an example of the flaws the 96 Grand Marquis comes with. Other than a few miscalculations, this ride is a beast on the highway. Smooth riding, space taking, comfortable and will get you from point A to point B like a pro. I haven't found too many old school cars that runs and durable like this car. Comes with a nice Factory sound system, leather seats, a big trunk, glass house windows...
...

The Chevrolet Cavalier is like driving around in a tin can! This car is a piece of ummmm crap, would be the nice way to put it. The hub caps fall off, have been replaced just to fall off again! The side mirrors have actually fallen off as well! This is a family car, its not like we are some teenagers driving around in it. We have always taken good care of it, but it is the loudest thing on the inside. You cant even hear the radio with the noise this car makes. The seats are stiff and uncomfortable. You cant even fit two car seats in the backseat. (Yes I understand it isnt meant to be a big car, but STILL) I cant wait until we can replace this car! I dont feel safe putting my kids in it. We bought it when we were just starting off and short on money, but WOW you REALLY get what you pay for! Now I know why Chevrolet quit making these hunk of junks. I would advise anyone to try to save up a little more money and get something a little safer, and nicer!
...

When I bought my new Hyundai Elantra back in 2004, it was my first new car. I had just started a job which required a lot of travel. I didnt have a lot of money, but the Hyundai Elantra was a nice car for the price. Dont get me wrong it is by no means fancy. (Of course I have the lower end model) But Ive been driving it around for almost six years now , and it has been good to me. It is comfy, the seats are nice and soft. I have replaced the radio. It has a lot of spots to store things, nice amount of cup holders. Large trunk. I now have two rather large car seats that fit nicely in the backseat as well. I only recently had to replace the alternator. I have been very happy with this car. When we trade up for a newer, and bigger vehicle. (The family has grown since this was bought) We will probably stick a Hyundai. The have nice warranty, and dont charge you out the wazoo just for the name.
...

I purchased the 2009 Dodge Journey in May of 2008 and after having it a year and a half I am not completely satisfied.

The bad......

At 13,000 miles I needed to replace the front brakes and have the rotars cut. (the warranty covers up to 12,000 miles) Well ever since I had the rotars cut, I feel a horrible vibration in the steering wheel. I've gone back to the dealer and they told me time and time again, that nothing was wrong...well finally I threatened them and they recut the rotars. I've since taken my vehicle to another shop and they have suggested I replace the rotars (very expensive).

At 20,000 miles I already need to replace the tires.

There is no vent in the back seat and the kids always complain that they are either too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. The air conditioning takes quite a while to cool the car off. The back seats are very uncomfortable and it is very cramped if you try and put a third person in the back seat.

We purchased another Dodge product a couple years ago. I am a faithful Dodge driver and my husband had been driving a Chevy. He wanted something new and better and knowing my opinion on type of vehicle, he chose to purchase a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 pickup truck. It was almost loaded. It had just enough chrome to attract attention. Not so much that it looked tacky but just right. With the exhaust upgraded, it had a distinct sound that I could pick out anywhere with my eyes closed. The leather seats, heated of course, are great for a family like ours. We have small children so with muddy shoes and snacks, they wipe clean quick and easy. The cab is extremely roomy and the kids even have alot of room to be able to sit and not be on top of eachother like the traditional extended cabs do. I love the 4 wheel drive and definitely feel safe when driving it on longer trips and when it snows heavy. I feel safe hauling my children around as well. It rides nice, pulls nice and has...
...

I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. It has had problems from the beginning. I purchased it new so it was not that the previous owners did not take care of it, there were no previous owners. We have had to have almost everything replaced on it. Both window motors, transmission, factory tires that were junk. It is on its 8th set of brakes, 2nd set of rotors, the power door locks don't work. The main wire that controls everything in the van overheats and causes the van to die and not restart. There is some sort of issue with the fuelsystem because if you fill it up and allow the pump to kick itself off when you take off to leave, it will die everytime and it is really hard to get it to run and stay running. Almost everything that is wrong with it is not fixed because all I ever hear from the shops at the Dodge car lots is, "Huh, I don't know what would be causing that", or, "I have never heard of that before". I have dash lights that go out and then the next week, those will be back on, and...
...

I love my 4runner. This SUV is very roomy and I have never had any trouble out of it. It runs good, has plenty of horsepower and will stop immediatly when you need it to. The only complaint I have is the anti slip feature that it has. If the vehicle leaves the road all the tires lock up. This is not a helpful feature if you get stuck in mud. You have to get towed out. Locked tires prevent you from getting out any other way. Other than that I have no complaints so stay out of the mud and enjoy on the road.
...

cn1017 says "Great mpg" about Toyota Matrix - 2007

Bought this Matrix used with only 8K and the original warranty - traded in my turbo 07 Forester which required premium gas and got 22mpg when premium went to $4.50/gallon. Computed the mpg on the Matrix with the first fill-up - got 36mpg!!! I love this car. I consistently get 32-36 mpg combined. It's got a sunroof --miss the AWD of the Forester but got such a deal on the Matrix - bought snow tires and traction now as good as AWD.

Favorite Features

For some reason I love the looks of the Matrix more than the Vibe - I smile whenever I see mine or others out on the road. Mine is sky blue, love the color. Love the ride. Love the interior space. Love the features and reliability. Most of the same features as Subaru but cheaper - better value!

Good mileage, comfortable. Excellent storage inside, good dog car (cleans easily, good spot for the dog in the back).Interior. Sound system sounds pretty good for factory system. High mpg.
...

jenniferlynn30 says "Comfortable truck to drive and safe." about Chevy Tahoe - 1999

I own a Chevy Tahoe 1999 four door. It is a fairly spacious truck and it drives well. It doesn't bounce too much when going over big bumps much like other vehicles this age I have driven. I am able to carry things I need like my babies stroller and when I go shopping it has enough room for large shopping trips. Even if I am going to go traveling for a while, it will hold what I need.

The only dwnfall of my vehicle is the gas mileage. It goes through gas very quickly. I do drive very often, but doesn't hold gas as well as of course newer models would.

It has seat warmers which is good for those cold days and when the heater doesn't kick in right away. automatic mirrors which is nicer then having to reach out and try to adjust it. They are also a good size to see the road. There is also a rear windshield wiper which is helpful for the heavy rains.

Overall I like mY truck and think it is good for me and my family.

cascullion says "Out of this world!" about Toyota Prius - 2008

I was in a tough situation when the car my husband & I share was totalled by a drunk driver. The Prius had been my dream car for years but I was a recent graduate with substantial college debt. And we needed a car within two weeks, when our rental car expired! I called a few dealerships and was lucky enough to discover that a Prius was being shipped over from Japan that week. No one on the waiting list was interested in it because it was "barcelona red." I told the dealership that I would buy the car without even driving it (it was over the phone). I am so happy with this auto! It drives like a dream and makes driving fun again! The safety features are outstanding.
...

PaisleyGirl says "Love this car, 170,000 miles and still running great!" about Toyota Avalon - 2000

We love this car!!! My husband and I were looking for a car that would be big enough for us and an infant car seat, stroller, and etc. And a car that would be comfortable and reliable enough to travel out of state to see grandparents. We bought this car used in 2005 with over 100,000 miles on it and have never been more happy with a vehicle! Our Avalon has a leather interior, heated seats, six disc cd changer, plenty of leg and head room. Not to mention a wonderful and reliable engine. I love knowing I can take this car anywhere and not be afraid of being stranded. We recently began discussing getting an suv or crossover vehicle as we prepare for a second child but are having a hard time finding anything as nice as our Avalon. While its size is similar and sometimes larger than a crossover its mileage far exceeds an suv. They only drawback I have with this vehicle is that I wish the back seats folded down for the occasional trunk expansion.
...
