caninelover says "our one experience was a good one" about Progressive

We have recently changed to Progressive and so far have been satisfied. My son, on an icy driveway, a few months ago slid into the side of the garage leaving $1,000 worth of damage. Progressive was prompt with the repair of the car, calling often to tell us at what stage the car was at repair wise, they offered a loaner car which we declined, and when we picked up the car, everything was perfectly fixed. The car was also spotlessly clean in and out which was a nice added touch. Our rates are not as low as some, but I feel you get what you pay for and we have nice cars that we want to keep nice. —...

caninelover says "My friend feels better" about Pro Plan Dog Food

Our male dog develops allergies in the spring and this year was particularly bad for him. He chewed his paws raw and his skin actually turned purple on his legs. Poor baby, never could get comfortable. — A friend on the street told me she uses ProPlan for Sensitive Skin and her dogs (labs) never scratch anymore. So, I picked up a small bag at our local Petco to try. I started mixing it with his current dry food and he really seemed to love the fishy taste. I'm not sure if it really tastes fishy but it smells fishy. — We are very pleased with ProPlan. His scratching and biting have really reduced due to all the omegas in the food and his skin discoloration is also fading. I'm so impressed, I may even keep him on this food permanently (it costs more than his old food but worth it)...

caninelover says "A good lifetime diet" about The Zone

I read this book when it first came out years ago and still follow the basic principles of a lean protein, small amount of bread or pasta, and many vegetables at each meal. It's the only way I can maintain my weight and is a...

caninelover says "I threw away my feather duster" about Swiffer Duster

My mother always makes negative comments when I use the feather duster for dusting the furniture, saying that the dust just flies around elsewhere so I recently picked up a box of Swiffer dusters. They are tiered disposable dusters with a handle you slide into a slot in the middle of the duster. They are supposed to trap the dust and dirt instead of disbursing the dust around the house like a traditional feather duster and they indeed do. I like them for dusting everything and I hope one day they will come in a larger size,...

caninelover says "makes surface cleaning easy" about New and Improved Swiffer Sweeper

I like the swiffer sweeper for a quick clean up and dust job if company is coming or if I just want the house to feel and look a bit cleaner on the weekend. Having 4 animals and teenagers in the house, it's just impossible to ever have a clean looking house. So, a go around with my swiffer on the bare floors, makes me feel good and I know the floors are somewhat cleaner.. At our house, you never know who will drop...

caninelover says "19 year old and healthy cat" about Chicken Soup adult cat food

Our cat Molly, has been eating Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul adult cat food since it has been on the market and before that she was eating a food that was comparable but a lot more expensive. She's 19 now and still goes out and brings home the occasional mouse, she sees and hears very well and still has energy. i will say, arthiritis is settling in to her back legs now but the vet says most cats at 15 show some arthiritis. But I look for visible results with an animal food and here is what I see: Shiny coat, not at all fat, good stools, good energy and sparkling eyes. I also like the fact that cranberry is added for urinary tract health. Cats can be prone to crystals. Cat lovers, check out this food. It is not sold everywhere like the grocery stores or Petco, but we find it at Pet Supplies...

caninelover says "Iams Healthy Naturals is a keeper here" about IAMS Healthy Naturals Dry Dog Food (7-lb bag)

My 2 dogs started eating Iams Healthy Naturals about a month ago and I am really impressed with the nice results so far. They were eating a high end food and my male began chewing and biting his legs and paws and the female had chronic loose stools. I knew this food was really not agreeing with either one but I really wanted the best diet possible for them and somehow I associated highest price=best food. Was I wrong! Out of frustration I picked up a bag of the Healthy Naturals and began transitioning them from the old food to the Iams, increasing the Iams every day until they were totally switched. — Here are the results: They enjoy eating Iams Healthy Naturals and never leave anything in the bowl, the itching, biting of legs and bowel problems are yesterday's news, their coats are soft and shiny, and overall have a good well-being. And, an added bonus is, it is reasonably priced compared to what I was paying for the upscale...
