calic0gal says "Great till it stops working." about Pandigital - (DPF802) Digital Photo Frame

My husband purchased this for me as a gift. It was a little difficult to get it up and operating, but once we figured it out, we were pretty happy with it. We even took it on vacation with us, so we could show the relatives our pictures in a fun way. The pictures themselves seemed to be pretty good quality, they didn't seem to be 'stretched' in any way. It worked nicely....no real problem. After the trip, the frame sat in our living room, and seemed to work fine for months. We didn't keep it on all the time, but whenever we went to use it, it was fine.

Then, suddenly, one day, it simply didn't work anymore. Nothing had happened that would explain it, except that now I'm wondering if it was a power outage (as another reviewer noted) because we definitely had a power outage. No other appliances were affected, however this very expensive photo frame suddenly didn't work anymore.

So we only got about 8 months use out of it. And the reason I am giving it only 2 stars is because there is absolutely...
...

calic0gal says "Helps keep curly hair in control" about Citre Shine Miracle Highly Polished Glossing Pomade 2 Packs 2 oz

I have naturally curly hair that turns into naturally frizzy hair if I don't treat it properly. I use hair gels and scrunch my curls to keep them in control, which usually works pretty well. But recently, due to humidity, my hair was experiencing more "frizziness". I bought this pomade for the first time, out of desperation mostly, and was very pleasantly surprised by the results. I've never bought a pomade before. The very word, "pomade", kind of scared me. What is that?

Well, after reading some great tips online, I tried this procedure which worked really well! After using additional conditioner, rinsing lightly and towel "blotting", then applying hair gel, then scrunching, I allow my hair to partially dry without bothering it too much. Then, taking a small amount of pomade, I smooth it over my hair from the crown down to the ends, almost like I'm going to make a ponytail. It applies a small amount of pomade to the outside of my curls, which doesn't seem like it would work, but it...
...

calic0gal says "Great for your nightly hand treatment" about Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme

I recently bought a jar of Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, and have been using it for about 2 weeks now.

You don't need to use very much, and I don't think you'd want to use very much, because a little goes a long way. It is a "greasy" kind of creme, but I feel like it's putting a protective coating on my hands. I use it at night, so it's really not a problem for me, and I feel like I'm giving my hands an intensive night treatment. You do not need to use gloves to use it at night, it's not that greasy, and it absorbs pretty quickly. It really feels great when you use it, it makes your hands feel smooth. It is very strongly scented at first, and the scent is not the almond scent I expected. For the first few minutes, the scent is more fruity, and strong, before it eventually settles down to the more subtle almond scent I prefer. The initial scent is not objectionable, but it did take some getting used to. And I have gotten used to it; in fact, I look forward to smoothing the...
...

calic0gal says "Lemony relief for your hands" about Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle creme 0.6 oz.

I've been using Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream for quite a few years. I have one tin in the bathroom, one in my car, one in the bedroom, and one in my purse. First of all, I love the lemony smell. It is truly wonderful, and I actually find myself smelling my hands a little just to enjoy it. When your hands are feeling cracked and tight, this is even better than regular lotion at soothing them, and can be used in a pinch to moisturize small areas.

I don't limit this cream to just my cuticles. Because I do a lot of gardening and working outdoors, my hands get pretty rough. And in the winter, with the cold temperatures arriving, I can count on getting cracked and irritated skin on my knuckles and fingertips. Once a week or so, I buff my nails and then apply this cream to the cuticles, the entire nail, and then the tops of both my hands, including the knuckes and finger tips. It does make my hands kind of "greasy" feeling, but it doesn't last long before the cream is absorbed. I often...
...
