buzzybee328 says "All the benefits of department store makeup at half the price" about Almay Clear Complexion Liquid Makeup

I used to wear Prescriptives makeup, having been introduced to it by a friend. I did like Prescriptives a lot because of the color matching, but I didn't like having to pay almost $40 per bottle, and I felt that sometimes it didn't quite blend with my skin. Another friend let me know that she was using "drugstore" makeup--Almay to be specific. She said that all she did was take her makeup bottle to the store and match it visually. My friend is very pretty and has good skin, so I thought about it. I was still scared to get cheap makeup--I thought it might be lower quality.

The good news is that a few months later I decided to make the switch, and I actually like Almay better than Prescriptives! The Naked shade matches my skin exactly, and the price is right at $12. I buy the Clear Complexion line because it contains salicylic acid, which clears and prevents blemsihes. AND Almay doesn't test any of their products on animals, which is important to me.

If you wear department store...
...

buzzybee328 says "I can't say enough about how much I love my silver bullet!" about Subaru Forester - 2007

I knew that Consumer Reports (in 2006) gave the Subaru Forester a top rating in the small SUV category. However, I had NO idea how much I was going to love this car! My poor little Honda Civic lasted ten years, and when it died I immediately thought about the Forester. I'm from the Northwest where Subarus are popular, and I've known several people to have them. I went to the local dealership and ended up having such a pleasant experience that I left with the vehicle that day! The dealership exceeded my expectationsn for a positive car buying experience.

As far as the vehicle itself, I can't say enough about the Forester. It's a completely amazing car. It's roomy inside, but I can park in regular parking spaces--I don't feel like a huge road hog. I also get nearly 30 miles a gallon--definitely not the gas mileage of your typical road hog! The all wheel drive is amazing, and something I didn't fully appreciate until it rained for several days in a row and my car continued...
...

buzzybee328 says "All hail to my latest guilty pleasure." about Flickr

I am an online journal user, and I found Flickr through other online journal users in my community. I've used Snapfish before, and KodakGallery. . . all the familiar ones. I find that my biggest need is not printing photography, but storing photography. A lot of the standard photo storage sites require purchase. . . and there's no real sharing of photos. Meaning, I could only store my own albums, but I couldn't see what others were doing. It just got boring.

When I first started using Flickr, I really wasn't sure what to do with it. It didn't take long before I *really* got into it--not only posting my own photos, but posting them in groups and then checking out everyone else's takke on the same subject. I actually made some online "friends," and I go on there about ten minutes every day just to check it out. I'll see my contacts new photos, and it's basically like an online pictoral journal.

Flickr is awesome. Not only is it a really good, positive community, but...
...
