The seat is built and shaped to form a sitting position yet it allows room for your baby to move. It is very easy to clean and it is functional in more than one way. Not only does it help baby learn to sit up, but it is also has a try option so that you can feed baby. And a plus is that babies love to sit in them, they love to be in the upright position so that they can look around at everything, not just a cieling or whatever is right infront of thier faces. The only thing I have found problematic is that infants with fat chubby legs tend to have a problem fitting into the seat. There are a variety of colors and they don't smoosh like crayons. My children have colored on my walls and table with these and they wash off very well. Every since my 22 month old first used them he will not use a crayon. Which is great for me because he does not try to put the pencils in his mouth like he did the crayons! The only think I do not like about them is that they do break...no too easy but they do break....
