bostonugirl says "Loyal to quality salons" about Exposed Salon - Katie - Lombard, IL

When I moved to the area, I wanted a quality salon like the one I had back in Boston, but didn't want to have to pay the price (formerly paying approx $250 for blonde highlights, cut, style). I recommend Katie because she really listens to what's important with your hair -- lookign natural, easy to fix, being edgy, etc. She goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable at the salon and happy with your final product. I've walked out each and every time feeling 100% satisfied with my hair -- and I'm VERY particular. Not to mention it's only $130 for cut/color/style!! Defintately quality service for smaller budgets.
...

bostonugirl says "You don't know what you're missing until you own one" about Apple - iPhone (16 GB) Smartphone Cell Phone

Won an iphone from a company contest and would still pay the money for one. I love it's features, the apps you can download, and how you literally can do EVERYTHING on your phone. It's super easy to keep yourself entertained on long trips, stay in the loop when out of the office, and condense your carry alongs to the gym. I especially use the ipod sync with my phone, and play a lot of music off of it. Only downside is that it doesn't work with all headphones, and some people I've talked to hate the iphone fee that comes along with owning one. Now that I have one, I don't think I could go back to a "regular phone." Also, I've dropped mine more times than I can count, and the phone is VERY durable.
...

bostonugirl says "I will never own anything but MAC again!" about Apple Macbook

After having several PC problems, I decided to take a chance on MAC. I can truly say that I will never own anything else again in my life. I don't use the computer for much more than internet, word processing, chatting, and photo uploads. I find all of these tasks much easier and less complicated than with my PC. You don't have to install anything on your computer -- it has pretty much everything you need. You also have much fewer steps needed to get from the beginning to end of a task. It's streamlined, efficient, and user friendly. The only complaint that I have is that what things are called (ie: Safari) do not always easily lend themselves to what they do, which is why I may not recommend it for older adults trying to use computers. Otherwise don't hesitate to become a mac owner!!
...

bostonugirl says "If you have a lot of time, it's a great tool" about Chi Pink Dazzle

I really love the look of my CHI Pink Dazzle, but it is not a great as the CHI's I've used in the past. First of all, the light doesn't blink like it's supposed to when it's hot and ready to use. Also, it doesn't get very hot. In order for my to get the same look as I used to, I have to let it heat up for about 15 minutes, use super small sections of hair (which stinks because my hair is extra thick), and take up a lot of time. For a working person that doesn't have that kind of luxury time in the mornings, I'd take back my old CHI in a minute. Tread with caution on this product...
...

bostonugirl says "Didn't Notice A Difference" about Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light

I bought the Smashbox Primer Light about 2 months ago, and haven't noticed a difference at all. I use it on top of a moistureizer with powder makeup, and it still comes off. My face isn't overly oily or dry, but I wouldn't suggest this to any friends. I feel that for the $30+ I spent that I should be getting a much bigger bang for my buck. My face is still shines at the end of a hard day, my makeup still doesn't cling to my skin like I'd hoped, but it does feel good on my face. Maybe if you have 0 skin problems, but believe that you need a primer, then this procuct is for you. Otherwise, don't bother.
...

bostonugirl says "Love It!" about Proctor & Gamble Tide Total Care

I received a sample of Tide Total Care from one of my favorite stores and LOVED what it did for the load of laundry I used it on. I was still hesitant as to whether or not I wanted to commit to making a change (I'm VERY particular about my detergents). After reading this website, I was pretty scared about what other people had to say about their Tide Total Care experiences (Orange clothes, permanent stains, etc.). I figured I just had to try out the Total Care for myself ... and I'm SO happy that I did.

My clothes smell amazing, look great, and I hardly have to pretreat any stains. I'm 100% pleased with the folks who came up with Tide Total Care. I used it on a load of whites and my clothes came out very white (no orangey tint). I also didn't notice any sort of waxy feel to my clothing afterward. I used it on my sheets/blankets and love falling into bed each night because they smell so good. Tide Total Care will have a permanent place in my laundry room from now on. I highly...
...
