bolan747 says "Better than the old one I used to use" about One Touch Ultra Smart Diabetes Monitor

I have had diabetes for 11 years, and those years have included lots of finger sticks. I am now on 4 times a day testing and injections. I need something reliable, fast, and easy to use to do my testing on the go. This monitor fits the bill for me. The strips require a small sample, and have a notched tip that draws the blood in for testing. This is easier than having to get the blood to drop in a certain spot. I can keep my history in there, and download it at my endocrinologist office. There, I get graphs and printouts to help me see if there are patterns I can change.

...

bolan747 says "Economical hauling" about Chevrolet S10 - 1997

I bought this truck used on Ebay, and it has given me lots of hours of enjoyment. We are a bicycling family and needed something with a long enough bed to haul our triplet (bicycle built for three). The eight foot bed is perfect for that. I believe that this is only available on older S-10's. It has run great with a V6 Vortec engine, and required little maintenance. When our son was younger, the three of us could fit comfortably up front. Now that he is a teenager, it is cramped. But I have used this for moving furniture and carrying cargo, and it has been wonderful for that....

bolan747 says "Heaven for me and my rats" about Martin's Cages

I have 12 pet rats, and cannot imagine ever not having a colony to enjoy. Our local pet stores have many cages, but most I found were too flimsy, or not big enough, or too expensive. Luckily, I found www.martinscages.com , a website for a company that specializes in cages for various animals.

I chose the large RUUD model cage. I learned to line the balconies and floors with carpet plastic runners to make cleaning much easier and keep my rats from getting bumblefoot. I like that the rats can each have their own areas, and there is a lot of room for them to exercise. I also always have room for all of the toys I like to give them. It is as tall as I am, so I can stand and see them eye to eye.
...
